Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): - Lovely quaint hotel with room overlooking a rural section of the Seine River. Check-in quick and simple, restaurant and bakery excellent, parking easy, staff friendly and ready to please without hovering.
- Robert (6/5): - Basic hotel with friendly staff
- Kenneth (8/5): - Great location with all rooms facing the Seine. Rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable with AC!
The staff was friendly and helpful the entire 2day stay. There is a busy crepery ,bolangerie, grille and restaurant on the property. Only complaint is the location is not near anything. Really nowhere to just take a walk. Otherwise would recommend.
- Sharon (8/5): - The staff were very helpful when we didn’t receive our paperwork before arrival. Whilst the room was lovely and clean it smelled damp and doggy which wasn’t very pleasant. The cold water in the bathroom sink never ran cold and there was no pressure and the shower was colder than the water that came out of the sink.
- Lloyd (6/5): - Whilst the property has a good location on the banks of the Seine, it is a little confused about what it actually is. It is a bakers, restaurant and hotel in one - with most staff focused on the first two. We were supposed to have received a QR code to enter the hotel in advance - this wasn't sent until 4 hours (and a little stress) after our arrival. We had thought to have dinner at the hotel given the view of the river, but there were screaming kids everywhere - making a large amount of mess - so went elsewhere. Room was decent, except that the AC didn't work and the toilet was mouldy. The view from our room was spectacular, shower a decent size, and a kettle with coffee was provided. We didn't have breakfast but instead bought take away food from the bakers which was delicious.
- Michelle (6/5): - Wifi not working on our floor the entire time.
- Maria (10/5): Excellent - Excellent
- Liliana (10/5): - I want to thank you all for such gentle costumer services!
Keep up the good Job!
A fuir
- Frances (10/5): - It opened our eyes to how busy the Seine River is asa major trading route, and how attractive the Seine Valley is. The hotel was an ideal place to get to Giverny easily and we enjoyed 2 full days in Giverny, including a visit to Monet's garden and house. The château de Roche Gayon was a most interesting piece of history in the Seine Valley.
- Matthew (4/5): - The rooms and property were *mostly* as described. However, the only way to access the building and rooms are with a QR code that is supposed to be sent 24 hours prior to check in. Unless you book directly with the hotel, you will not receive the QR code. (The property manager told us there is nothing they can do about this.) We ended up waiting nearly 4 hours for a QR code after arrival, which resulted in us missing the nearby chateau we had planned to visit. I booked 2 rooms at this property for our family of 4 because of it's proximity to some of the sights outside of Paris that we planned to visit, but one of the most important reasons I chose this property was the fact that it had air conditioning. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in both of our rooms was blowing hot air, regardless of what we set it on. We had to shut it off and sleep with the windows open, resulting in full access to our rooms from the outside. There was no security whatsoever with the windows open, which made for a very unsettling night's sleep. (I could have climbed out my window, walked to the room next door, and climbed right into their window.) Staff was friendly and felt genuinely bad about the mixup with the QR code. The food in the restaurant downstairs was mediocre at best. Would not stay here again.
- Pascal (4/5): On s'attendait à bien mieux....
- kim (6/5): - Great spot by the river but can’t sit outside because of the wasps. Staff are great and helpful. Wifi really patchy. I had a pizza at the restaurant which was very nice and perfect as I was too tired to drive elsewhere. On-site boulangeries is amazing.
- Pierre (8/5): Super - Hotel tres confortable, accueillant.
- Peter (10/5): Great choice of bread sweets and cakes - Nice welcome.
Well appointed room, very clean, nice bathroom.
Restaurant and bar attached.
Not much choice other than one main or Pizza
Good view of the river

- Virginia (10/5): - Very nice hotel, great view, good restaurant.
- Alon (10/5): Great business hotel - Clean, neat, excellent breakfast from bakery on first floor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location near Giverny and not too far from Paris and Versailles.
- Lior (8/5): Overall nice hotel - A nice hotel with a view of the river. The room was great, no elevator though and the pillows were too hard. Also the breakfast was good and tasty with a good selection.
- huguette (8/5): hotel met bakkerij! - Net hotel, behulpzaam personeel.
- Mary L (8/5): Overnight near Giverny - We had a very comfortable one night stay. The hotel satisfied our. Reds. The dining room was comfortable and we loved the view of the Seine from our room.
- Keith (8/5): Lovely situation on the banks od the Seine - Not much to look at from the front, but the restuarant view and the bakery more than make up for it. Thought the road and rail noise might be a problem, but they weren't and had a good undisturbed sleep.Good selection of pastries for breakfast and overall a very pleasant stopover.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great view and a kettle! - Lovely sized room and bathroom. A lovely view and facilities if needed.
We found the kettle very welcoming, first hotel in our trip.
- John (4/5): Messy and sloppy - Stunning location and views. Once i opened the door Infoind myaelf cat in a french restaurant/hôtel farce with such levels of incompetence and professional laissez aller that I thought they must be filming a television show. Absence of any cohesion regarding what the identity of the hotel is. A real disappointment and I actually felt angry that the beautiful physical space the hotel occupies was being so poorly treated by it.
- Fred (10/5): Outstanding - This was a great hotel to stay out. The rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. Dinner was outstanding. I would stay here again if I was ever in the area.
- nita (8/5): Lovely hotel - Hotel has many positives which certainly out way a very few negatives
Staff very helpful, clean rooms & lovely views
Negatives reception closes on a Sunday evening as does the restaurant & bar, also it's closed on a Monday morning so there for there is no breakfast facility they do provide you with few pastries & tins of orange juice the night before, so if you've stay is over a Sunday into Monday there is no staff at the hotel which feels very strange on a Sunday night, as when we stayed their were only a couple of other guests. So if leaving on a Monday morning there is no one to check you out, but apart from that lovely place
- Verified traveler (8/5): Superb river Seine view - Excellent value for money and beautiful river views. Very quiet.
- Stanley (6/5): Seine view and breakfast! - Very nice room, lovely view of the Seine. Don't miss the breakfast - the breads and pastries from the bakery are fabulous. Rest of the meals a bit below average. Convenient for Giverny, La Roche Guyon and many other locations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice find - This hotel is attached to a bakery and restaurant. Staff is super friendly and professional. I recommend paying a little extra to get a room facing the river.
- Gordon (10/5): wonderful! - Comfortable, reasonably priced room. Good, modest restaurant, attached artisanal patisserie. Great breakfast.
- Nancy (8/5): Misleading - When we arrived (famished) the restaurant had just closed. We were able to get some items from the boulangerie. The next morning, we went down to get breakfast and everything was locked up tight. So~~what we thought was kind of a French mini bar in the room~~croissants in a bag, juice in a can, instant coffee~~evidently was the "breakfast available" which was advertised!
- Barb (8/5): Reasonable Hotel Close to Giverny - Nice clean modern room with view of Seine. Good breakfast, nice dining area with view of occasional barges passing by. Delicious evening meal available. Congenial hotel clerk and wait staff. Comfortable bed.
- David (10/5): Clean, modern and comfortable. - A clean, modern and comfortable hotel. We had an evening meal here and it was excellent. In the morning we had an good continental breakfast i.e. coffee, tea, croissants and a variety of locally baked breads. On the negative side we were extremely disappointed that the restaurant is closed on a Sunday night and Monday morning. To be fair they gave us a complimentary can of juice and two croissants each for breakfast to eat in our room. Would we stay there again, yes but not on a Sunday night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Rest before backroads in France! - We drove in late to start a 4 day tour of the back country roads in France and this was our first stop. Nice hotel, good location on the river, quiet. We missed dinner but they did serve us wine. Breakfast was excellent! Room was clean. Only issue was that staff spoke no English. Thanks to Google Translate, we were able to communicate enough. Good room for the money!
- marian (8/5): Characterful but not quite boutique - A modern hotel with a lively patisserie on the ground floor. Nice room with a wonderful view of the Seine and a good bathroom. Food at dinner was excellent. Service a bit haphazard - staff were friendly and hardworking but there weren't enough of them. We waited an hour for our dinner and our room wasn't made up until 5pm. No lift so needed to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. With a bit more investment it could really be 'boutique '.

- keith (6/5): Mixed thoughts - Terrible weather, the Hotel is 4 maybe 5 metres from The Seine. Yes the heavy rain period! But The Hotel no affected. Great helpful staff. But it closed Sunday and Monday! Yes, the reception, restaurant, bar etc closed! That is why prices are significantly less Sunday + Monday. Overall I guess the +'s outweigh the -'s but with bad weather as well, close! Also an odd place, hardly a village, no bar or restaurant within a walk. But literally on the Seine! With better weather and 7 day opening the Hotel would be great.
- Mary (8/5): Beautiful view over the Seine - We wanted a couple of nights close to Giverney, without spending too much money. This hotel fitted the bill. As a basic hotel we weren't necessarily expecting a decent evening meal, but we were very pleasantly surprised and ate in the beautiful dining room for our two nights.
- Geoff (2/5): Very bad hotel and overpriced - This hotel is not a good example for Hotels.com, i seem to have paid over the standard price for a start?
Main Road - very fast and Busy
Railway line
no footpaths from the hotel to anywhere
Awful breakfast and very overpriced - nothing fresh, cereal on display from night before, cold pastries, dirty cups. all for 10euros??
Overall a really bad experience and overpriced, this would make me question using Hotels.com again.
- KAREN (8/5): Great views on seine. - Last night in France before catching flight from Charkes de Gaulle airport. Easy travel time from Claude Monet jardin.
- Marie-josée (6/5): Nice surprise near the Giverny's Garden - Nice surprise close to the Giverny's Gardens (10 minutes away). Rooms are basic but clean and recent. We had a large bathroom. Situated on top of a restaurant/bakery, it adds a nice atmosphere and smell! We were on the third floor and we did not hear anything. Wifi worked well (free) and free parking.
- Dr (6/5): An interesting boutiquish hotel - Unimpressive exterior appearance - attached to a bakery on the banks of the Seine surprises with comfortable, good sized and very clean rooms. The decor in the rooms is pleasing and in room facilities very good.
The restaurant serves "middle of the road" food - acceptable but not worth travelling for.
BUT - the attention to customer service really leaves much to be desired. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and at about 10.30 pm on Sunday we were informed that there would be no breakfast on Monday and we were given a plastic bag of rather sad croissants and half a can of orange juice each.
We tried to check out on the Monday morning but found that the building and the adjoining shop/bakery was completely deserted and locked up. Keys for incoming guests seemed to be left on a table in reception but there was no indication of how departing guests might settle their bills and leave.
In all it was an "interesting" but not wholly unpleasant experience - and the bakery did provide very good bread when the dining room was available for breakfast.
- wayne (10/5): Great convenient overnight stay - Excellent location if visiting Van Gogh, Pisarro & Monet home-sites & only half-hour from De Gaulle airport. Room large with very comfortable bed. Service excellent; food good
- Donald (8/5): Quiet hotel all rooms overlooking the Seine - Hotel on the Seine with good internet, air conditioning and comfortable beds. Rooms overlook the river and it's interesting boat traffic. Helpful
Staff. Continental breakfast included in a nice setting also overlooking the River. Unfortunately the restaurant was booked solid for dinner but there was another wonderful restaurant serving French cuisine nearby that also overlooked the river. Other town amenities within short walking distance.
- tom (10/5): Hotel Includes It's Own French Bakery
- Rooms on the river had great view of passing boats on the Seine. Hotel was fine...especially enjoyed the French bakery on the first floor lot's of goodies to sample.
- Tracey (10/5): 5* service and facilities - Great hotel in a lovely location... although you need a car to get to it. The hotel / restaurant / boulangerie staff are very friendly and helpful. Accommodation and food are also top notch! Fully recommended.
- Scott (6/5): Two-night Stay Near the Toulouse Airport. - Two-night business trip to Toulouse, France. Hotel is conveniently located within 8 minute walk from the airport. A taxi will cost you 10 Euro. Set up is motel-like, room is simple but adequate for an overnight or two stay. Close to tram stop. There is a Carrefour City market less than a 20 minutes walk. Restaurant on premise was very good and the restaurant staff was very friendly. Only thing I wasn't happy about was the same woman at the reception desk for check-in and check-out who obviously lacks a personable personality.
- Alan (10/5): La Ruche - Our stay at La Ruche was very enjoyable. The hotel is fully refurbished, and benefits from modern fixtures and fittings, friendly Staff and the advantage of most rooms having views of the Seine. The restaurant also has views and the food was excellent.
The hotel runs a busy boulangerie and patisserie business, so all bread and cakes are freshly made on the premises!
We will return!!
- Double Diamond Experienced (10/5): Going to Giverny? It's close, wonderful! - This place was all aces. Compared to the week prior, spent at another place in Auberville, it was like one was the stereotypical snooty and unpleasant, compared to exemplary! I spent a day at Giverny and plan to go back. No hesitation to recommend this great hotel/restaurant/bakery on the Seine. What a view!
