• Hannalena (6/5): - Die Betten im Family Room waren so unfassbar bequem, ich hab super gut geschlafen. Die Küche nutzen zu können war auch sehr praktisch. Es wirkte etwas abgewohnt, aber immerhin ist es auch ein Backpackers und nicht das FourSeasons. In der Küche tropfte Wasser durch die Decke nach heftigem Regen 😅

Fajne było to że wspolna łazienka miala tak naprawde wejście z pokoju tylko ze byla otwierana z 2 stron przez co byla dzielona tylko z pokojem obok, wiec tak naprawdę byla pół prywatna:) bardzo fajna opcja duzy plus. Pralnia byla dostepna ale trzeba mieć swoj proszek do prania. Personel tez byla bardzo spoko i mily.

• PabloCapi (5/5): - Muy amable en la recepción. La cama era cómoda. Habían suficientes enchufes para cargar celulares. Mi habitación tenía una puerta de acceso a otra habitación, por lo que otras personas tenían que pasar por mi habitación para entrar a la suya. La cocina era muy chica. No tiene parking privado, pero pude estacionar mi auto a unas calles de manera gratuita. Si bien me avisaron antes, justo detrás hay un bar con música fuerte hasta las 3am.

Close to the water & coastal walkway, Puke Ariki museum which is free and has wonderful Māori artefacts and history, close to Farmers Market,l & lots of great food. Nice, classic hostel vibe with hang out spaces, all you need kitchen, book shelves and friendly faces! A bit grimey around the edges, could use a more thorough cleaning. Bed in double room was horrible. So hard and could feel every spring! We brought our camping air mattress in to put on top. Even a cheap mattress pad would make a big difference. Incredibly loud on the Saturday night but there was a courtesy email about this beforehand which was thoughtful.

• Schmulbricht (8/5): - Das freundliche Personal. Wir konnten ohne Probleme noch eine Nacht verlängern. Es wurde in einer Mail zuvor hingewiesen, dass von 22 bis 3 Uhr durch Karaoke-Bar Unruhe entsteht. Wir wussten also worauf wir uns eingelassen hatten. Jedoch haben zusätzlich noch die Abluft der Küche er umliegenden Gaststätten und die Klimaanlage der Unterkunft/ und oder Küche noch für zusätzlichen Lärm gesorgt. Wen das nicht stört, der kann hier gut übernachten, da Unterkunft sehr zentral liegt

• Kate (8/5): - The location. Ideal for the intercity bus. As a back packers stay it was colourful, friendly and Chris, the on duty person as we arrived, was very informative. The kitchen was large, well organised and used. We love the fact that all recycling options had well labled bins. Very clean. Powerful shower. Steep stairs to access the accomodation, but we are rather older than the usual back packers. Only one central light and light switch.

• Brittany (9/5): Great spot, centrally located but can get loud! - Honestly fantastic place to stay in New Plymouth. Beds, room, and common area were clean and there were lots of boardgames in the common area for sharing. Good kitchen too. And the staff was really friendly and helpful as well! It must be said that the hostel is on top of a bar, which gets very loud into late hours. We were there on the weekend and both nights there was karaoke!

Backpackers is around 2 bars/restaurants so you can hear the noise outside on friday/sat, although it's not as rowdy as you would think. They do send you a message warning you about this so you are aware.

The girl at reception was an absolute sweetheart - super kind, humble, and showed me all the facilities. Made my stay so much better! 5 stars from me!
