CHRISTOPHER (6/5): - Hot tub is outside the room & could have been set warmer,no robes supplied for the hot tub unit which I think would be standard with the hot tub being outside of the room. Parking was at its best sub standard and had to carry our bags thru the lobby down two lots of stairs to our room.

Rebecca Gary (8/5): - Communication was poor. Booked on wotif. Tried to extend booking, no answer for 0508 number on website and delay in response to email. No one seems to answer the phone for 07 number either. Finally got a hold of them at 8pm at night. Nice place to stay but lacks staff?

Julie (6/5): - We were initially put in a room that appeared to be a former conference room (Room #22). It was cavernous—a huge room with a bed in the middle. Very odd, especially for the two of us. We requested a different room, and had to pay an additional NZ$75 for a more “traditional” room. This room had a spa tub, which was nice, but the mirror reflections from the building meant the people in the building next to us had a straight view into our spa tub. The restaurant didn’t open until 8 am, which is a little late for breakfast if you’re trying to get an early start. On the positive side, coffee and milk was provided. For the money, I would not recommend this hotel.

Innes (8/5): - Very comfortable bed. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Only two niggles: better not to have shower over bath as it was quite slippery. The gate on the spa should go the other way; it's difficult to get up the steps and having to push the gate back. Toilet seat is quite a thin plastic, not really "luxury". All other facilities great like fridge, jug, cutlery and TV.

There was paint that was cracked on the wall was non repaired damage to the sink and shower. There was also a lack of steam extractor fan that had obviously previously led to fire alarms if the bathroom door was left open.

The room - [ ] No table although it is an apartment with kitchen, so if you want to eat food, either you stand around microwave or? - [ ] No water tap in kitchen, so cleaning the dishes in bathroom maybe? - [ ] No cupboard to keep your clothes, only 4 clothes hanger provided and you can hang your clothes where you find a place for hangers - [ ] As there is no cupboard the ironing board stands next to the door. - [ ] No safety lock on door, not sure if the door is locked or not. The bathroom - [ ] Mold everywhere. As staff explained it is not mold only the crack covered by silicone but it is not, it is black mold in the shower and around the whole bathroom. - [ ] No extraction but there is a sign in bathroom to close the door while showering to avoid false fire alarm. - [ ] The mirror is on the window which has a view of the street. In case you switch on the light, from the street anyone can see what you do in bathroom. - [ ] The shower door opens as a 20 years old car without maintenance, so everyone will know when you start showering. People - [ ] When I told these concerns, they kindly offered me another room however when I looked at it, the same issue was there. They also offered refund if I want to leave so I guess this is not the first time when someone complained but they handled it well!

I had to then pay an additional 150 that I don't have to stay in a non smelly or noisy room.

This continued thru the night. The fridge was very noisy. A lot of road noise even though there is double glazing. We could also hear the people next door or above us, going to the toilet during the night. Perhaps the owners should try sleeping in that room apt 18

For almost $400 a night it would have been good to have hand soap, a heated towel rail. The decor is so dated, and a spa suite is not comdortable for a family of four, no one wants to sleep on a pull out couch. Also the bathroom is super creepy, like something out of a horror movie. Back to air bnb for us, much better value for money. $790 down the drain.
