• Marc (7/5): - Lage und die seltene Möglichkeit Kiwis in der freien Natur zu beobachten. Der Campingplatz ist sehr schön gelegen und verfügt auch über eine tolle Zeltwiese. Wir hatten zu dritt ein einzelnes Häuschen mit Bad und Küche gemietet. Das Häuschen war deutlich kleiner als die angegebenen 65m², es war nicht wirklich sauber und instandgehalten, Einrichtung und Küche sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen, für Gebotenes definitiv deutlich zu teuer, aber trotz allem hattenn wir einen angenehmen Aufenthalt auch weil das Anwesen schön liegt und der Aussenbereich einen gewissen, wenn auch morbiden, Charme und eine gewisse Lauschigkeit geboten hatte.

• Danielle (7/5): 3 day stay - The shower and toilets were clean shower pressure was great easy to find our cabin . Heater in the cabin is very useful . 2 towels were available. Our room smelt like it hadn't been aired out for awhile , Didn't have a tv like shown in the pictures on the website , woulda been good to have a bug spray or some kind of bug zapper in the room . Wifi was 500mb a day then had to pay $5 for extra . Other than that everything else was okay.

• Rebecca (10/5): - This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!

The flies in the cottage! Really yuck. The TV didn't work, we weren't told the internet logon. A couple of bunk mattresses were almost non-existent.

• Derek (6/5): Ok, but not our preferred accommodation. - Likes-The staff were friendly and helpful. The unit was in a nice location. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. Dislikes- The unit had no inside chairs, only a small fold up table. The front deck had another small f/u table, but the fold up chairs were old and problematic. No tv, no aircon, no milk for drinks. The shower drain hole was in the wrong place in the top corner and water flowed to the lowest point near the entry point and out into the bathroom.

• Angela (9/5): Brilliant to see kiwi! - We could upgrade our cabins very easily and were met by a delightfully friendly and helpful reception staff! Loved the new pool and the highlight was seeing 3 kiwi roaming around the back of the park at 10.30pm! The carpark was free (always a bonus) although it was a bit tight if two cars needed to be parked by the cabins. Personally, I'd love a small UHT milk than having packet creamer in the room.
• Morgan (10/5): It was a great home away from home - The atmosphere, friendly people and staff, cleanliness , the night time kiwi walk, the pool. Shower pressure was great, toilet facilities were clean.
• Tracy (7/5): Good - Building was lovely and done up. Microwave and tv didn't work, but in saying that I would stay again.

• Fiona (9/5): Beautiful setting, marvellous pool, very near Russell - Fantastic new big swimming pool. Beautiful bush setting only 5 minutes drive from Russell.

• Ingrid (4/5): Disappointing - I would have preferred to pay a few extra dollars when booking for a night, instead of having to look for $2.00 coins at 7am when the office was close. Also, our bed stunk of body odour, very unpleasant smell. Outside our tiny cabin smell of urine.
• Koray (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, friendly staff and we got up close and personal with two kiwis in the camp ground in two nights at a row! Filtered drinking water would be nice
• Bob (3/5): Disappointing room, no sheets blankets provided, no towels, bare room with bad mattresses - There were Kiwi's on the property at night at the edge of the forest. Very cool. This was a "camping" room. Just beds and a mini-fridge. No sheets, blankets, or towels. No nothing, and relatively expensive. The website was not clear enough on this - or perhaps I did not understand what was meant. Old, spongey mattresses on a sagging frames. It seems these rooms were designed for a summer camp for six-year-olds. Not an appropriate place for adults.
• Karen (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location clean facilities. Friendly staff . Staff have fantastic knowledge of the local wildlife and are eager to tell the story.

• Anne (4/5): Disappointing - You could swim in the pool. The host was super friendly. It was close to Russell township. Room was clean. Couldn't get tv to go. No response to call for assistance there. Room had a 'dog?' smell. Understand that efforts are being made to rejuvenate the place and that we were accommodated into a self contained unit but we looked out onto the sewage tank and an orange cone. The furniture was old. The window locks were broken. The curtains were hanging off their hooks in places. It just felt a bit sad.
• Amy (1/5): Ok for tents and vans not great cabin accommodation, toilets and shower block were very clean - Beautiful location cabin very old and dated No cooling fan in room, very smelly fridge stunk of fish and cleaning spray. Couch had no cushioning in the seat, bed was old and felt awful. Ants on the bench on our arrival room temp about 40c as a hot day, no shade porch or tree by the cabin. we paid but didn't stay, we went to another provider in Russell

• Ohm3k (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was very tidy, great space for the lil kiddies to run around and very safe for them to roam!
• Janna (6/5): A small but clean cabin. - Location was good. Pool. Neat grounds. Camp kitchen was clean. Shower cubicles need refurbishing, hot water was not available every time in the showers. The cabin was very small with only bed and fridge. It was very hot, needs a lockable screen door to allow more air or aircons.
