- Rachelle (10/5): Aanrader! - Geboekt als eerste nacht na vlucht. Ontzettend fijn personeel en voortreffelijk gegeten. Ontbijt en diner waren echt top! -
- Ronald (10/5): Our second stay and we’ll be back. - A real charming place with excellent food options. The breakfast was great. The lunch and dinner options were home cooked and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. All good. No complaints.
- Julián Alberto (9/5): -
- Penagos (10/5): - Excelente atención del personal
- Carin (10/5): Quirky, cool hotel - Quirky art hotel with amazing staff and super interesting rooms. Locked area for cars to park. Restaurant was great. Breakfast choices were great. The area to drive through and around the hotel did not feel safe. There was almost hourly plane traffic and impossible for one of us to sleep. Really difficult to find hotel because it’s down a single side street.
- Merrilyn (5/5): pros and cons - it's secluded and if you're looking to get out of the city, this is definitely the place. also, the restaurant is fantastic and Carmen, the chef is so delightful and friendly and lovely and an incredible chef! Well, I think all of the other reviews made my expectations far too high because I didn't really experience most of the things they noted. The lodge was definitely not a chain hotel or Airbnb, which was very refreshing and why I booked it, but I didn't realize how small the quarters would be and how the music and the voices would carry all throughout the compound. To back up, I checked-in and no one really introduced themseves to me. (Again, this is completely fine, it's just that based on other reviews I thought it I was going to be warmly greeted by the whole fam- when in fact only the owner's mother was around, and she was lovely and nice.
And then I guess the owners arrived later that day, and they didn't really introduce themselves to me either when I was sitting there (hence why I did not know they were the owners) but I left for my room shortly thereafter, and they did text me immediately when I asked if I could change to a room that's more quiet. Federico was attentive and moved me to a farther room away from the kitchen ( fyi- the music played until 11pm. (N.B. The moment I walked into the first very small room a couple doors down from the kitchen, I could hear every single pin drop in the kitchen and dining room, so I immediately and very politely asked how late the music would be playing. The owner's mother was very sweet and just asked me what time I wanted to go to sleep. I didn't know how to communicate that I didn't want to hear it AT ALL, not just when I go to sleep so I kind of just blew it off and she turned it down for a spell until maybe an hour or so ). Later it was turned up to the previous volume, which I could still heai very clearly and loudly from the new room. I know many people may like pop music, so I guess I understand if that was the crowd they are trying to attract, but it was actually my worst nightmare to have to be subjected to pop music all morning and day and evening.

- Maria Paula (10/5): Muy comodo y acogedor.

- Julia (10/5): - La amabilidad Nada
- Juedmo (10/5): -
- Anne-Sophie (10/5): A unique stay in Bogota! - Wonderful place! A quiet, mountainous feeling in the city. The place is beautiful, rustic, artsy, clean, and peaceful. The restaurant is also delicious, with a fireplace that's on every night. The owners are often around and available for help or just to chat and tell you the story of the hotel. The staff is very helpful. I also used their chocolate therapy massage services - loved it. Nothing!
- Adriarne (10/5): - Everywhere you look there was something beautiful to look at. Lovely light, flowers, all comforts and the restaurant on site was a lovely bonus for me as a solo traveller. Breakfast was delicious too. I appreciated the airport transfer service at reasonable cost, and the ability to arrange private car transport as required - it was very helpful and made arriving late at night very smooth.
- Liat (8/5): A sweet spot outside of town . Kind host and nice food - The host was very kind and accommodating. The bed was comfortable. It was very far from the town and the room was very cold and small .
- Daniel (10/5): Cute and cozy and the staff is amazing - The hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The food is amazing and the staff is fluent in English.
- Paul (8/5): -
- NidaH82 (10/5): Amazing staff and hospitality! - This was our first visit to Bogota for a tennis tournament. I had to arrange everything for my son and husband to travel and stay there. Federico made everything so easy over the phone and through WhatsApp- helped my family there with special requests related to food and nutrition during the tournament, helped arrange cabs as well. Responded to messages at all hours- my husband and son enjoyed their stay and loved the hospitality.
Thank you La COLINA!
- virginiec522 (10/5): Excellent place to stay in Bogota - The place is beautifull, room are big and confortable.
The food is excellent, and people so nice.
If you love art, you will love this place
- 293shanel (10/5): Home away from home - Federico the host felt like family from the moment I arrived. The staff is extremely lovely and the food is truly exceptional. I was very well taken care of. A very well oiled and tuned operation.
- David Felipe (8/5): -
- Klausen (8/5): -
- Leech (10/5): Gorgeous and super comfortable - Really high-end in that everything is the best materials, super comfortable, fancily decorated. The owners were super professional and very welcoming, food was super tasty and fresh - would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Journey41736532149 (10/5): A fabulous place - La Colina is a fabulous place to stay, I would definitely come here again - a quirky, arty style, much nicer than your usual personality-less hotel. Guest house style, the rooms are lovely, beds super comfy and huge, food is fantastic and a hearty breakfast is included. Federico is a good host and a wealth of info if you need help planning what to do. I had a massage therapist come to my room with a full body exfoliation and chocolate body wrap! Oh, and try the boratta and homemade bread - soooo yummy
- sergioaW704LU (10/5): Amazing experience - It was just an amazing experience, seemed that we never left our home, the warm familiar feeling transported here a La Colonia, with their personalized attention by the owner.
- G4054ESaaronc (10/5): Stay at La Colina - Great place, looks nice, super friendly staff. Mattresses were very comfortable, breakfast is delicious and there are multiple options. You can hear planes fly overhead but it didn't bother me too much.
- bonniee291 (10/5): If you want a unique experience this is the place to be - This is the place for anyone that loves good food, comfy accomadations, lovely gardens and to be surrounded by art.
We stayed here with a large group of family members, including a young toddler. The owners and staff are so friendly and accomadating. You can also just come for a meal but I would make a reservation. The food is world class with all fresh ingredients and made to order meals. It is a place to enjoy a long, peaceful meal, nothing frozen or prepared ahead of time. Order the yummy cocktails and appetizers to make your time more enjoyable. The passionfruit, watermelon gin and tonic was the best cocktail I ever had. We also loved our meals and the desserts, everyone in our large group thrilled with their choice, all saying theirs was quite yummy. We found the prices to be extremely reasonable for the high quality service, ingredients and deliciousness.
The rooms are all differen and quite unique, filled with original art and also windows that have views of their natural gardens. The oversized, king beds are so comfortable, we had our best night's sleep here. The pitter patter of rain drops on the opaque bathroom roof lulled us to sleep. I also enjoyed the natural lighting of the modern bathroom which is supplied with local products. The price is very good for the quality you reciever here, with the friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere.
The hotel is high above the city which allows for some beautiful views as you go up. It was quiet and peaceful. There is free parking within the walled and gated hotel compound. The owner speaks English so it was easy to communicate with him about the booking and also the meals. The staff was so friendly, paying sweet attention to the toddler who loved it.
Our whole group expressed delight with this hotel and restaurant. Our breakfast was again delicous, with fresh fruits and yoghurt and meals made to order. Also, of course, was the delicious Columbian coffee we've truly enjoyed and are now addicted to. Yum! We all thought this place would make a great site for a destination wedding or family gathering.
And to top it all off fresh roses abound, with vases in every room and all over the hotel. Its sensory delight to be here. We will definitely be back. This is indeed a special place.
- JACSFO (10/5): A hotel for people that love good food, art and fresh air - This is a MAGICAL place. I took my family to Bogota for a couple of days and did not want to stay in the big commercial hotels. This place was just what I was looking for: a place filled with good food, safe, lots of fresh air and greenery, and good service. They delivered on all fronts. 👍👍👍
- renea342 (10/5): Beautiful Wedding Venue, Beautiful Hotel, Amazing Owners - Words do not describe the La Colina Hotel Cottage. From the owner, to the venue, to the care we felt, we cannot express enough how lovely every moment was. The food was outstanding. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner on property daily. The team served coffee and tea to us in the afternoon. The owners and their staff made us feel so comfortable. The resort is beautiful. Our wedding reception looked like something that you would see in a magazine. They took care of every detail including: transportation, flowers, our cake, even taking the wedding dress for last minute alterations. The owner himself served the wedding party, helped us take pictures, and knew exactly how to make everything magical. My review is a bit late as our event was in the fall but warrants the best review that you can give. The memories that the La Colina Cottage team will live with us for a lifetime. If you are looking to do something special for a wedding, an engagement, anniversary, or just see Bogota- this is the perfect place.
- Omolefe (8/5): Very good -
- Luz (9/5): Nice and rustic hotel with delicious food. - It was very nice and clean, everyone welcomes you and makes you feel like family. Food was delicious.

- afavery (10/5): Great Casual Boutique with Character and Warmth - La Colina Hotel Cottage is truly a hidden gem. Definitely a boutique experience, like a home away from home and you are welcomed as a temporary member of the family. Great staff, great cuisine -- both dinner and exceptional breakfast. If you like a place with character, a casual feel, and warm hospitality, this is a no-brainer. My first stay but not my last.
- Paul (10/5): - It's a hidden gem! Locals and tourists to Bogotá are missing out on a lovely getaway with some amazing food, artwork around the hotel and rooms, genuine and meaningful chats, and meeting the artist in residence. For those coming for work, Federico will help organize your ground transportation!
- F453URrosam (10/5): A Hidden Treasure in the Heart of Bogotá - From April 6 to 9, I had the absolute pleasure of staying at La Colina Hotel Cottage, and what I found was far beyond a simple hotel stay—it was a heartfelt experience that left a lasting impression. Tucked away in the lush surroundings of Bogotá, this charming boutique hotel is a true hidden treasure that gave me the perfect balance between productivity and soul-nourishing rest.
I came with work to finish, and I left with so much more. Not only did La Colina provide the peaceful, inspiring atmosphere I needed to focus and get things done, but it also welcomed me with a warm, family-like embrace that made me feel completely at home. The Colombian expression "déjate consentir"—let yourself be pampered—took on real meaning here. It came alive in the deeply engaging conversations with fellow guests, the open-hearted hotel owners, and the caring staff who treated me like one of their own, all in just a few days.
Waking up to the sight of hummingbirds fluttering outside my window, sharing breakfast with a delightfully chatty cat affectionately named Gato Muertodehambre, and wandering through the vibrant art gallery that was not just my room but the entire hotel—these moments made every second feel like a special gift.
La Colina isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a space where the warmth of Colombian culture wraps around you. It’s a feeling, an energy, a connection. I came for work, but now, I can’t wait to come back just for fun. What a treat this place is.
- jaysal102570 (10/5): Sweet lovely hotel with the personal touch ! - Best Colombian cultural experience hotel with all the perfect amnities

- Matt (10/5): Excellent option for safe nice hotel in this part of Bogota - This property was a greatr suprise, from the entrance to the welcome service to the artistic decor and architecture. We were very happy in every way with the hotel, the room, the food and service. there was nothing we didn't like
- W1525XWsams (10/5): Bogata in 5 days - The service was great and the staff was friendly. You will not be disappointed. The food was wonderful. Frederico speaks fluent English and can help arrange your excursions and transportation. I highly recommend for anyone going to Bogata to see the many cultural sites the area has to offer.
- Alisson (9/5): Superb -
- pedro (10/5): Nos encantó todo. - Excelente hotel. Nos encanto todo. El personal super amable. Y la comida toda super buena. Se los recomiendo.
- Maps199345 (10/5): Perfect for a couples weekend or to break away from the work routine for the day! - Beautiful hotel and art style! Owners and staff were very accommodating and focused individually on each client. Perfect place to get away from the noise of the city for the weekend or a relaxing day pass, massage and dinner! Restaurant carries a wide variety of options and breakfast, lunch and dinner were well portioned and delicious.
- Kathleen (10/5): Take a pause from the road in this comfy, art filled inn and be sure to let the kitchen spoil you with some amazing foo - Unique architecture with a welcoming atmosphere Nothing
- 216lend (10/5): Fantastic Hideaway - We loved the atmosphere of the boutique hotel set in a private wooded setting overlooking the city. There were lots of amazing art works everywhere, the food was great and the owner Fred speaks great English…he was a great host with whom we enjoyed several conversations. We would highly recommend it to our family & friends. It was great to meet you Fred.
Cheers from Len & Francey Day from New Zealand 😍
- Kristo (10/5): Great, artsy hotel. Recommended. - Fantastic place, very friendly and helpful staff. Very good restaurant as well!
- jeevikaverma (10/5): Loved it - My friend and I stayed for a day and a half after attending a wedding. Federico and Tamara took such good care of us, making sure we had transit to and from the airport (and some yummy coffee/food as needed). We did spend a long time in traffic when commuting from downtown Bogota but if you are looking for an oasis from all that traffic, this is absolutely the place to be. Will definitely try and visit again!
- T5991KQvivianap (10/5): Hidden Gem Treasure - Exceptional experience! This cozy, eco-friendly gem is a true hidden treasure. From the owner to the entire staff, every detail is thoughtfully curated. Words can't fully capture the charm and warmth of this place—it's truly one-of-a-kind!
- Liliana (10/5): excelent experience - the place is beautiful, clean and they have excellent service that we cant stay more
- Viviana (10/5): - Exceptional experience! This cozy, eco-friendly gem is a true hidden treasure. From the owner to the entire staff, every detail is thoughtfully curated. Words can't fully capture the charm and warmth of this place—it's truly one-of-a-kind!
- Vargaszen (9/5): La Colina Hotel Cottage: A hidden gem on a hill in Bogota city! - I loved this hotel! Located on a small hill in the north-west of the city, it's a good place to disconnect from your work or daily routine. The continental breakfast was complete, delicious, and generous. The staff was very kind and friendly. We had dinner there, and it was also tasty. The facilities had a lot of pieces of art, different sculptures and paintings; all of them were beautiful, and we were delighted to watch them. Our room was vast, and its bed was comfortable. I'll come back soon, of course! It would have been great if the room had a TV or a speaker to pair with smartphones and listen to music, but it was perfect even without technology.
- James (10/5): Loved it. - The cottage was perfect. The owner was super friendly and everything was clean. We had dinner there which was delicious and the free breakfast in the morning was just as good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
- Jimenez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nick (8/5): Very good - At Colina Cottage Hotel in Bogotá. This cosy little gem redefines what hospitality means to me. Unlike the big chain hotels that can sometimes feel a bit soulless, Colina Cottage welcomed us with warmth and personal touches that made us feel right at home. Friendly staff such as Nairobi who remembered our names to the cosy rooms that felt more like a friend’s guesthouse than a boring large hotel chain. It’s proof that sometimes, the smaller places leave the biggest impression! While Colina Cottage offers a wonderfully cosy and personalised experience, the pricing felt a bit on the higher side. That said, the warmth, charm, and attention to detail might make it worthwhile for those seeking a unique and intimate stay.
- Morgan (10/5): Wonderful food and gracious hosts! - Eclectic and cozy place in a residential area. The restaurant is excellent! Definitely make a dinner reservation there. Frederico is great to chat with and all the staff were very gracious.
- Marina (10/5): It was lovely - The property is peaceful and has a lot of cozy spots to relax Nothing
- Raquel (10/5): A wonderful time with wonderful people. Always the best experience. - Wonderful time at La Colina. This was our second visit and as always it exceeded expectations.
- Norman (8/5): The staff was amazing. I felt a sense of calm and peace in the middle of Bogota. - The property is quaint and secluded. No hot water in shower.
- JORGE (10/5): - Excelente! Tomamos también masaje de chocolate
- Johan (10/5): - Great place, good & service
- Robert (10/5): - **La Colina: A Bogota Gem**
La Colina is more than just a hotel; it's a warm and inviting haven in the heart of Bogota. The cozy atmosphere and positive energy are palpable from the moment you step inside.
The staff, particularly Federico, Tamara, Nairobi, and the rest of the team, truly go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. As a solo traveler, I immediately felt at ease in their care.
While I had planned to explore the local food scene, I found myself returning to La Colina for every meal. The culinary offerings were consistently outstanding, and the service was impeccable. Any other restaurant would have been a disappointment in comparison.
I cannot recommend La Colina highly enough. The dedication and passion of the ownership and operations team are evident in every detail. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.
- Jose (10/5): Excellent short term stay with incredible staff, room, and breakfast! - The staff (Nairobi, Rosana) and Federico (owner) were a very friendly and attentive. Definitely made my stay more enjoyable
The breakfast was super healthy and delicious. The French pressed coffee was the best coffee I’ve had.
The bed was super comfortable. The decoration of the farm house made everything more authentic and a pleasant change from staying in an Airbnb or regular hotel. Hard to find at night. The sign is against the wall if you don’t see the entrance as it’s locked at night.
- Luc (10/5): La Colina Hotel Cottage is one of my top 3 best hotel experieces ever - La Colina Cottage Hotel exceeded absolutely *every* expectation that I had. It's rare to find an accommodation that sets the standard so high across all categories (staff, facilities, food, cleanliness, comfort, value, etc.), and I can say without any exaggeration that this ranks among my top 3 best hotel experiences ever.
1. Staff: The owner (Federico) and his team are incredible. There are hotels that go above and beyond what one might expect from an accommodation, but of the 100+ hotels in which I've stayed, Federico (along with only 3 other hoteliers I've met in my travels) delivers a passion, enthusiasm, care, and attention that far exceeds what most could even hope for.
2. Decor/cleanliness: My impression of the hotel is as positive as my experience with La Colina's staff. Despite the warm, cozy, and welcoming atmosphere - the outdoor fireplace and seating area that overlooks the Bogota hills is the perfect place to unwind after a day of enjoying the city - the hotel feels modern and is decorated with a rotating collection of original art. The property and rooms are also very clean and well maintained, and make for a very comfortable, relaxing stay.
3. Food: As a night person who usually skips breakfast, it was worth getting up early for. Everything was fresh, tasty, and filling, and this might just be my favourite breakfast of anywhere I've travelled. As for dinner, while most seasoned travellers would recommend eating outside of your hotel, La Colina is well known for its food, and it is a testament to the quality when you see locals from Bogota dining and thoroughly enjoying their meals. I had *zero* dislikes, however, there might be a few things that may not appeal to all travellers:
1. La Colina is nestled in the Bogota hills, not immediately in the core of the city, and will require a bit of travelling time during rush hour with the city's (abundant) traffic.
2. For travellers that have specific preferences for facilities (eg. a gym, pool, etc.) may have to find other ways of getting in their workout (but walking up and down the hills at 2700m elevation is a great start! XD)
3. It sets the bar unrealistically high for other accommodations.

- Michael (9/5): Superb - The staff and the solitude were a perfect combination for a quick getaway. The owner, Federico, and his wife were the perfect host. If you need a secluded getaway yet close to a city, it was perfect. Great food and attention from the staff were nothing short of excellent. I'll leave this open. Everyone has different desires.
