Great location.
Good value for money.
- Donald Miller (9/5): - Polite staff very helpful

- pon (10/5): -
- Kiyoko (4/5): - 10 min. needed until hot water comes.
No shower curtain! Bugs in the room
No housekeeping for the second day
I’ve used this hotel for years but no more
- Chiranjeev (4/5): - Pros:
Great location, close to restaurants, bars, local markets, and a small ride away from attraction.
Staff is nice and friendly.
Cons:
The room smelt like smoke even when we selected a non-smoking room.
The carpet in the room was covered with people hair. It seemed like it hasnt been vacuumed in months.
The aircon unit, we had it running on 16 the whole time we stayed at this place, and it didn't feel like it git any colder than 25 degrees celcius.
The bed, even though it had clean sheets, I got bug bites.
Overall:
For the price you pay in Cambodia, you can have much more and better accommodation.
I will not recommend any of my friends to stay here.
- Thierry (7/5): Good - Location,air conditioner,staff. Not hot water. No soap.no breakfast
- MANKU (10/5): - 시장근처라서 너무 좋았다
- Trygve (8/5): Ok hotel - Good rooms with good service and cleaning. Common areas are a little "tired", and could be in the need of some update. Good location in quiet area! Will come again!
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Clean in good location Hot water not good, shower in bath was dangerous, safe did not work, no breakfasts available
- Rl (5/5): Passable - The rooms are spacious and the location is well centered. The hotel needs renovation. The bathrooms feel old, and the inner corridors also feel super outdated and dirty. The Wifi quality signal was poor.
- Sanjeev (10/5): Exceptional -
- mark (8/5): - Close to the riverside. A very convenient location.
- bopha chan (6/5): - Good
- bopha chan (6/5): - Good
- Moe (3/5): Poor - I like nothing about this hotel. The only good thing is that it is within walking distance to the riverside. The staffs were not professional. It looks more like a motel. The room is not clean. Full of coachroaches. The bed sheet is itchy. It does not worth 27USD a night. And I just saw disposed saniraty napkins in a plastic bag just out the door not far from my room. The carpet in the corridor is worn out, dirty and mouldy.
- D (8/5): Very good -
- Syam (7/5): Good -
- Robert (7/5): Good value for money hotel - Clean and spacious - comfortable bed and good wifi Shower in bath with no shower curtain
Public area looked tired and dated
- Donovan (7/5): Good -
- Nurujjaman (1/5): Bad - The location of the hotel is good, that's the only plus point There is no responsiblity from the staff here, AC problem in every room, I have complained many times, but no one cares.
- Sophanna (5/5): Reception is not responsible - The room style is very good. Air-conditioned is not cool, No hot weater
- Adrian (6/5): If you have to, but I wouldn’t do it again - The hotel is ok for the price, the rooms had no hot water, warm at best. Beds are hard and uncomfortable, we had to stay in Phnom Penh for two extra days and they accommodated us easily, lots of local families stay in the hotel with the associated noise carrying throughout the hotel. There is a pool/spa. It it is in a room off the foyer and honestly was as unappealing as you can get
- Bastien (3/5): Overpriced - Clean , Mattress was fine, room size was good. Safe was broken on arrial, had to change room
Street is noisy
Water temperature takes over 2min to change from cold to burning hot, and then stuck on burning hot for another 2min etc. very very annoying.
- mica (8/5): - The second floor appears to have been office at some point and it's in disrepair at the moment but that had nothing to do with the rooms. My room was great, ac was strong
- Geoffrey (8/5): Sleeping giant! - This presents as an old fashioned seventies hotel with a minimum of trendy add ons,but oozes space. The staff are charmimg and helpful in a very quiet environment. It has an exercise room with a potentially functional weights machine ,cycle, stepper and cardio machine. With a little effort it could be a winner. The pool is ok for kids and really a waste of space.
Short walk to the heart of the action.
- Ronald (6/5): Pleasant - The common areas were a little worn/dirty. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The first night we could not sleep due to loud bar across the street. They moved us to a quiet room for the second night noise from outside.
The 'swimming pool' was a large tub in a gloomy room behind the lobby.
- Romzi (7/5): Good -
- Mh (9/5): Great - would stay again - Helpful staff and clean room
- Vichet (6/5): - I booked a deluxe room, staff gave me another room, smelled, toilet didn’t work. I complained to the staff to match my booking description, then he changed to another room much bigger, but the shower either too hot or too cold, not regulated. We complained about no one seemed to care.
- Jeffery (9/5): Superb -
- VIPHANPHONE (6/5): - The property is okay; situated close to the night market, royal palace and the river front. The AC & frigerator worked great, but the bathroom was dated. It does get noisy at night as the hotel was right across from an open bar/live singing restaurant. The price is right for the place though; safe a decent place to stay.
- Aaron (8/5): Central location making it easy to walk around to all the touristy attractions. - The room I had was on the corner so it was very spacious. The room was renovated and updated with a modern touch. The bed was comfy. The a/c didn’t work the first night. It was hard to sleep. They were able to fix it the second night so it was more pleasant. We had reserved two single queen bed rooms but they put us into 2 separate 2 beds room. They were only able to put one of us in the right room. Late the second day they finally was able to get the other room for us.
- Katika (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (6/5): Pleasant - Decent location and staff, guests welcomed Room was basic, water warmish at best and little pressure, sockets not all working properly
- Bonno (7/5): Good -
- jm4558 (2/5): Choose another hotel - Choose another hotel. Karaoke bar across the road from the hotel.Very loud music until all hours. Hotel windows very flimsy, did not block the noise. Staff response was "what can we do?"Buffet breakfast was not replenished, so unless you got there for the start of breakfast you missed out. Terrible hotel
- atqcsc (4/5): I wouldn’t stay again - Average at best aircon doesn’t work we changed room still didn’t work very nosy and dirty everything was damp when we’re checked in breakfast was terrible we all came down at 7am and there was nothing to eat at all could probably get something 1000% better and cheaper
- shanazw (2/5): Rooms were dirty drapes had dust that has not being cleaned for yrs or months. - Horrible Hotel. Very dirty and the washroom was disgusting mold. The breakfast room was dirty. can't say anything good about this hotel. owner needs to look after his hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
- Paivi (7/5): Good -
- GrandTour517704 (2/5): Dreadful, wouldn't even put my mother in law there! - This is supposedly a 4* hotel, more like 2* at best. Can't think of one positive thing to say about the place:
- Hotel is neglected and the room particular run down. A $3 shower hose would have made a massive difference
- Rooms were dirty - very dusty, furniture had disgusting marks and stains and curtains had rips
- Breakfast - now don't make me laugh.
The owners don't care for their property, so don't give them your money and go elsewhere!
- William (6/5): hotel is tired needs updating - location no hot water
- Sanjeev (9/5): Superb -
- Rafidah (7/5): Good - The bed and room. Spacious and comfortable. Location very near to my office. Channa, the front office waa friendly and trying to help me with the ironing issue as they dont have it in the hotel. The room service. They never make up the room for all the 4 days i was staying. I did put up the sign to make up room, but never did.
The hotel is more like a 2* hotel, not 4*.. they dont have ironing in the room. So if you come for business trip, bring ur own.
- Kennych (7/5): Good - Location
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The breakfast was a winner. Lots of healthy choices and daily soup. Eggs anyway you want!
- sennita (10/5): Very budget hotel in the Celntral - i found the Altos hotel from the Trip Advisor.
when I booked the hotel,it is given very special on the OTAs,but I choose Booking.com for my reason of upon arrival pay.
Most I do not like to pre-paid but surprised when all front staff give me huge smile and assist to my arrival with the quick access to room i booked.
Room looks huge and fantastic !
My first stayed, however, i got equal welcome as the other guest.
Look simply but all the best.Eat good.sleep good.
Would recommend for budget people.
- Visornak (10/5): Great budget Hotel - I stayed at Altos as my second time since Jan2020.
The front staff recognized my name upon arrival, and the room was ready for my long flight from LA.
The check in time is at 14.00 but the front staff help to access a bit earlier to my room for i am sleepy away from home since the last day.
Altos is a place i decide to choose for it is very convenience walking distances.
Would recommend to travelers who want to gain the stay at Altos.
- nouk805 (10/5): Travel with Husband - I am traveling with my husband of the room with Altos hotel since Jan 20.the room is huge on the 5th floor easy access to the breakfast.
For the first time in the City i fond of the hotel with large lobby space with all the great staff helps us a lot for my visit, the staff are concern on my trips to any interested tourist sites in city's major attractions.
At breakfast time I met the Canadian Couple who stays for almost four months recommended by the GM,and the hotel is ready for business.
So far,I found that it is great and budget hotel in Phnom Penh.
Will surely come back again soon in the couples of months.
- Shumbovs (10/5): Travel With friends - My friends introduced me to stay hotel for two nights.
I have booked Altos Hotel for late November 2019.
The room I booked is with large window at the round corner, the room is spacious with good air-con.
This is the correct room I booked and exactly I wanted. And the restaurant is on the roof top, good eats with buffet styles daily.
The Hotels is just walking distances to anything you want to,ATM ,convenience store, eating.Soppings etc..,
Will definitely stay again.
Thanks All staff giving me great experiences.
- Qmar (10/5): Vacation - Excellent hotel
Huge room space with full facility
Super clean. Sumptous breakfast.
Very relaxing bar n grill. Great beers n night live band. Friendly hotel staffs n waitresses at bar.
Very friendly Managers n i have to tell you this-a very very helful General Manager who did an excellent arrangement before n during our stay.
Not to deny Altos is good choice for family stay as well.
Altos is also located right at the centre of all places of visits.
Happening Streets like 136,130 river side walk are just minutes away.
I personally will say we had great time being at Altos n what more, looking forward for our next visit.
You want a good choice to stay at Phnom Penh i recommend HOTEL ALTOS.
- David (6/5): Good budget hotel - Very friendly and accommodating staff. A little run down in the bathroom area. Water didn’t drain from shower properly. Don’t even bother with the pool or fitness areas- just an afterthought tacked into a corner of the lobby. But the location and price are great. If you’re on a budget and don’t mind some minor inconveniences, it’s good enough.
- sreangs2019 (10/5): Staff friendly and room comfortable - First stay in Cambodia. When I was check in at hotel staff are very welcome and helpful. They also upgrade a good room for me during my stay is a very nice room and comfortable. The location are good. I was recommended this hotel to my friend and will come to stay this hotel again.
- Ciara (4/5): - Unfortunately I encountered a few issues during my stay:
1) The treadmill kept cutting out during my workout. I had to restart it 3 times before calling it. This won't affect everyone, but good to note for those it will.
2) I was "upgraded" upon check-in, to a room that had 2 twin beds rather than my preference of a double. It also transpired that I was right next to works, which started at 11pm. I immediately asked to be moved and, credit where it's due, I was.
3) Unfortunately the room that I was moved to was right above a late bar, so music played into the night - not sure which is the lesser of 2 evils.
4) The drain in my second room made a strange gurgling sound, without anything in my bathroom being used....
5) On my last day, I headed up to breakfast at 6.20am as I was catching an early bus but nothing had been laid out except for the cereal, even though breakfast starts at 6am.
Although I was able to walk to all the sites I wanted to see, I wouldn't stay here again based on my experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - location was good, everything within walking distance or 1 - 2 dollar ride in tuk tuk, only problem l had was my room was across from a Primary School and you hear the kids from 0630am to 5 - 6 pm
- Kaye (6/5): OK - Not as fresh and clean as the pictures suggest but was ok for a couple of nights
- Ernest (10/5): - Friendly staff. Great location. Breakfast ok. Reasonable price given the location.
- TPGilly12 (10/5): Treated the best by the best.. - Altos was a great place to stay for us. We expected to stay a night or two but ended up staying for 5 plus days. I have learned that if you treat people well, people will treat you well and sometimes better in return. There was no exception here at Altos. The GM, Viseth, immediately made sure our stay was a good one. I was introduced to Tren, she constantly smiles, and Sreang, also smiles and always willing to help. Free breakfast is served on the 5th floor overlooking the lovely city. Each morning Sadly would meet meet me at the breakfast buffet to make sure I had what I wanted and needed. The hotel is in a great location, with a foreigner eatery street a block away. Altos also has a great restaurant, Chanda spoke perfect English and most helpful, we were treated exceptionally well. Affordable, clean, and great treatment...We will be back again...
- RobertStordalen (10/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff. They went out of there way to be helpful to me. The desk staff spoke excellant English.I will stay there again in March.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Large well appointed room, lots of hot water, very comfortable bed. Fantastic staff, very helpful. Well positioned. I am a frequent visitor to Cambodia and this ranks very highly indeed in the mid range hotel. Perhaps a little more fruit selection at breakfast.. but that is being niggly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything is within walking distance but its a very busy place. Lots of traffic in the surrounding area. The streets need to be more wide to have more room awat from traffic and pollution and noise.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was always wanting to help no matter if it was to find sonething or call a cab.
- 179kith (10/5): Thank full and will come back - First I would like to say thank to staffs of Altos hotel in Phnom pen.
First arrival they treat me very warm welcome and offer all my requesting. Good service
Lobby look nice and fresh with cleanliness. Fast check-in. Room very nice with big bed. Breakfast set on upstair like sky bar, food was acceptable with service. Their look alway smile and assist me all time.
Internet speed no problem in around of hotel . Will come back to stay at Altos hotel.

- Nicole270518 (10/5): Best place to stay in Phnom Penh - I’ve been stayed at Altos for business trip last month, room look very nice with new decorations and huge. Easy to access to many attractive places, ATM, Riverside all just walking distances.
Would recommended to everyone.
- 23031982 (10/5): Good stay and good price - I stayed this hotel in the time 11 September to 15 September 2019, that is good room with luxury style, this hotel in the central in Phnom Penh 5mn walking to Central Market and near River Side, my room are big and comfortable bad, the staff are good service AND food is ok, I will be back next time for trip,
- oulvan (10/5): Good to stay - I stayed with Altos Hotel for three days it good room with modern style.the corridors quite big and clean. I love that place it near everything to visit and easy to make appointment with my partner. The service yes it normal. I will come back and stay with Altos again.
- Michael (8/5): - Good stay. This is a 3 star hotel aspiring to be a 4 star. Service was reliable and friendly. The room was very clean
- KalmiaFontaine (2/5): Fear and loathing in Phnom Penh - Where do I start? The room looks NOTHING like the photos. Rooms were very basic and the air conditioning was poor; it kept turning itself off every 20 mins, despite not being on a timer. We had to move out of our first room as there was a large hole in the ceiling. Reception showed up, didn't say anything and after about half an hour a few men with a step ladder and a lightbulb showed up??? Why would a lightbulb cover a hole in the ceiling you ask? No one could explain why they thought this tactic would work, which is why we were promptly moved.
The second room was noisy as you could hear awful singing from a karaoke bar nearby until the late hours. The kettle was broken. The shower bath had no fixture that allowed you to shower so you had to hold the shower head as you were showering. We booked this hotel for the swimming pool which turned out to be a large hot tub next to reception- meaning you would have to walk out of the lift past reception in your swimwear. Breakfast selection was awful apart from the omelette station. I only usually eat toast for breakfast and as I picked up a slice of bread to put in the toaster, loads of tiny flies swarmed out. Almost everything at breakfast had tiny flies on it. The receptionist recommended the restaurant attached to the hotel for dinner which we used. It was very expensive and below average. It was very hard to communicate with reception staff- simply asking for basics like the closest ATM and recommended restaurants nearby was a struggle. Overall this hotel was awful value for money and would not recommend. This hotel was our first stop in Cambodia and really disappointing.
