- Jo (6/5): - Clean room for a quick stopover. Room was indicated to be small which is was but ut was big enough for a short stay. Place was tired and in need of an update, but this is reflected in the price. Dishwashing cloth and liquid were in the room but there was no kitchen sink. It is inappropriate to wash food items in a handbasin. Given its location in Waitangi some consideration of Maori cultural tikanga (separattioitn of food and bathroom activities ) would be good. Suggest tthey add a plastic bowl for this use.

- Marija (8/5): Needs to be freshened up! - The hotel manager was extremely helpful and lovely! We came here with our family. To be honest, this place hasnt faired well over covid - its looking a bit tired and in need in some investment to freshen the rooms up. The kids loved the pool
- Mark (4/5): - Unfortunately this is a motel we will not be back to. The bathroom had no towel rails but bare holes in the wall where a towel rail once was. The toilet seat was all for whatever reason scratched up. The road noise was a significant issue for us and despite being booked in for two nights we checked out after one night. No refund was afforded despite our request and the issues we encountered. We booked into a similarity priced motel with twice the quality within the hour.

When I contacted Expedia and a big thanks to Expedia, the manager then gave us an upgraded room but did not follow through with it. We were given a backpackers room on another property with no hot water and was part of social emergency housing. All credit to the reception staff who tried his best well done PJ. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this motel very disappointed.

Appreciated the heated pool & spa on days the beach was too cold. Decent sized room and spacious bathroom. Was clean. Never ran out of hot water in the bathroom. Only improvements would be: heat pump in room, new beds (wasn’t uncomfortable but could feel springs starting to come through in spots), better water pressure, new shower/bath, in room fridge didn’t quite get cold enough, and we stayed in the unit below the office and we could hear noise from upstairs. Wasn’t too bad but just being extra mindful of that between the hours of 10pm-8am.

It was a hot day when we arrived and the windows and doors were open so our unit was aired and cool, which was awesome. Only reason why I didn't put excellent (and this is being particular picky - sorry) was because we didn't have a hairdryer (but we managed) and one other reason - air con would have been amazing. Good place to stay though.

Really short walk to the beach, small but has everything you need so no need to go large :) Beds were comfy, the cleanliness was excellent and the hotel staff were beyond helpful and pleasant. I would gladly stay here again as well as recommend to anybody asking.

Our requests for a ground floor suite and walk in shower were graciously accomodated. Our room and kitchenette were well stocked with everything we needed, including milk and coffee. The location is perfect for exploring Paihia. The pool looked lovely, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for us to use it. Thank you for a relaxing vacation.

- Vivienne (10/5): Spacious and perfect for families - We had a fantastic short stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. There was ample space, a well equipped kitchen, and the cleanliness was outstanding. The kids absolutely loved the warm pool and spent hours in there each day. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The wifi worked good too. The only thing I would change is that the apartment’s water was turned up a little too hot.
- Sandra (10/5): A Nice Place To Stay - We stayed here for two nights on our tour of the North. A nice, clean Motel, though we did find the room smaller than what we'd been used to on our travels. Maybe as we didn't pay a lot it's to be expected. It's a ten minute walk from the centre and the pier is in Pahia. Not far from restaurants, cafes and bars. I would recommend this Motel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place for Families - Motel was fantastic, friendly owner, room was tidy and clean, kitchen had mostly everything, would suggest a mixing bowl. Queen bed was firm (I liked it), single beds were slightly softer (kids liked that), swimming pool was great - could have been warmer though on the colder days but was just perfect on the hot days, I would describe it as 'tepid' rather then a warm pool. Spa pool was lovely and warm. The outdoor area near the pool was fantastic for our family to sit around and chat while kids swam. We had the 1bdrm ground floor unit with car park outside our unit and a small outdoor area just outside the bedroom. Perfect for 2 adults and up to 2-3 children. Loved that we had free wi-fi (kept the 12year old happy) and that it was available right through out the complex. I used the guest washing machine for $2 - good price. Powder was $1. Unfortunately the machine dosnt have a very good spin cycle but nothing a bit of 'elbow grease' cant fix. Outdoor line is provided as are dryers for $2. I used the outdoor line. We will definitely be back we loved our 4 day stay here. Within walking distance to the main township and major attractions (hole in the rock tours), about 2 minute walk to lovely beach\.

Perfect location near the beach but away from the noisy bars. Very soft beds, old property, but rooms well equipped. Good plumbing.

- Karen (6/5): Great location, very basic amenities. - The location is excellent, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and accomodating and the room was very clean. The basics are taken care of. On the downside, privacy is non-existent as the room is very small and fronts directly onto the parking lot. Also, it was extremely hot and there was no fan in the room to help with air circulation. Rooms are a bit outdated but clean which is more important to me personally. The price is right and I could live with the drawbacks so would recommend this as a good, budget friendly accommodation.
