Guest Reviews
- debbielZ5494GR (2/5): Westgate Resorts terrible customer service!! - Booked a reservation at Pinnacle Lodge at Sun Peaks, British Columbia for February 2026. I booked the room directly through Westgate Resorts, an American company. When I made the reservation I specifically asked if the deposit was in Canadian dollars or US dollars. I was told Canadian dollars. Much to much surprise the deposit was charged to my credit card in US dollars. I had to cancel due to a change in plans a few days later and the refund was in US dollars but the exchange was lower so the refund was less.
When I emailed Westgate Resorts regarding the misleading information they were less than helpful.
Definitely won’t book at a Westgate Resort again.
- michelle (8/5): - The accommodation was beautiful with great amenities. However, the resort closed the day before so the facilities advertised weren't available, as in no breakfast apart from muffins and fruit and tea and coffee facilities. This did not spoil the stay though but it would be a good idea to make this clear in future to other guests. Nothing much was open in Sun Peaks resort so we would probably have stayed at another location if we'd have known. This is not a negative review though as the accomodation was really nice!! Expedia just needs to get the advertising details right!
- Richard (10/5): - The room was very clean and comfortable
Bring every you need for your stay. There are no extras
You need to go to the lodge for water coffee and tea.
Skeleton staff, but not really required. Everything is self explanatory!
- SHERI (10/5): - This was a true hidden gem for us. We do not ski, so timing was perfect but we absolutely loved the village the trails at the top of the ski lift and all of the restaurants and bars that we went to. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Our room was wonderful and the beds were very comfortable.
- SamW900 (8/5): Great breakfast, staff and location - Everything wonderful except poorly kept grounds. If they continue serving wonderful breakfasts we will definitely return, but that is uncertain.
- Brent (6/5): - Bring shampoo
- Thomas (4/5): - Its a time share in a residential neighbouhood. Check in closes at 7pm. Nuisance to check in. No phone or TV in room. Bed was not high end. No shampoo or conditioner. Over rated for what it is.
- R8178JDdavidh (10/5): Great place - Very friendly staff and a great place to stay. The room was excellent, spacious clean and a lovely little veranda. The fridge was a great help. Would recommend it highly
- Jeremy (10/5): - Beautiful location just a short walk to the village. Quiet and comfortable, great hot breakfast in the main cabin.
- Robert (10/5): - Very quiet hotel during our stay. Dinner options were a bit limited probably due to the time of year (June).
- Nicole (10/5): 3 night stay - This was the most beautiful setting forba stay at Sun Peaks. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone considering visiting the area.
- Pieternella (10/5): - The Commons area gave our stay the feel of being in a chalet. Lovely surprise.
Great breakfast.
- Heather Helene (10/5): - Had a welcoming and homey feel.
- Heather Helene (10/5): - Friendly staff and a comfortable environment.
- Carol (10/5): - Just a great place to stay
- D A (10/5): Another ski vacation at this wonderful lodge - Richard and his team are cheerful, accommodating and caring . We enjoyed our 5 nights stay. Loved breakfast, easy to walk to ski fields - 500m walk to Morrissey platter t bar. Easy ski out, right to the door.
Our room was nice clean and spacious with all necessary amenities.
Outdoor spa and indoor sauna - were perfect after long day on slopes.
Short stroll to the village for food.
Highly recommend
- Joshua (10/5): Always great! - Pinnacle Lodge is always great value, and Richard is such a good host. My go-to spot for accommodation in Sun Peaks for skiing.
- Alec (10/5): - Property was clean. Breakfast was awesome. Staff was very kind. Will definitely return.
- C (10/5): Pinnacle Best in Sun Peaks - We have been to Sun Peaks countless times. The Pinnacle is definitely our favourite and we will book for August, next February and the years to come.
There is an abundance of communal space for games and lounging as well as food prep and eating area.
The staff and service was above and beyond as well as friendly and approachable.
It was quiet and comfortable on the busiest weekend of the year. It was like we had our own oasis in the middle of the busy mountain.
All within a few steps of everything you want to experience in Sun Peaks centre!
- Ryan (4/5): - You pay $20 for a breakfast whether you eat it or not. And they don’t start breakfast until 8 AM. The mountain opens at 8:30 AM!! Seems like a cash grab.
- Grant (10/5): - Comfortable and clean rooms and a great lodge feel from the communal area. The spa and sauna are a nice way to end a big day on the slopes.
Richard and his team provide excellent service where nothing seems to be too much trouble. Thanks for helping make my stay so enjoyable!
- Shayne (10/5): - Very friendly clean
- Kyle (10/5): - Really friendly staff. Lovely rooms. There is a small shared hot tub, wish there was more. You can ski in from Grand Return on the Morrisey side. A little bit of a walk to the lifts.
- C Ryan (10/5): - Richard and his staff were so pleasant and welcoming. They really made the stay exceptionally memorable.
- Kendra (10/5): - Staff was very friendly!

It is a two minute drive to the ski resort from Pinnacle Lodge
- Christine (10/5): - Love this place, quiet cozy and comfortable
- 689samuelc (10/5): Warm paradise with beautiful and dazzling views of the snow and the mountains - Loved every single minute there! Is a warm paradise with beautiful views of the mountains, the evergreens and snow. Loved the daily breakfast and the view from my comfortable room with fire place. Richard and the guys were very nice, all of them, the guys from Australia and other places, I wish to come back, but during the summer.
- Staci (8/5): - The sledding area next to the hotel was awesome! Great lobby area with games and puzzles and plenty of room to hang out. It is an easy walk to the village.
- Eduardo (10/5): - Great place to stay! The property is quiet, convenient, and walkable.
The customer service is their biggest asset.
- hans (10/5): - everything was perfect
- Aaron (10/5): Wonderful skication - We had an excellent stay for the second year in a row. The staff, in particular Richard, are especially friendly and the breakfast is an excellent way to fuel up before a day on the hill. Look forward to returning next year!

- mrsandersonvicki (10/5): Peaceful - Not sure I can do a 100 words but everything went as planned the resort is beautiful, I managed to meet some new freinds
- Lindi (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff!
- 793sanjays (8/5): Nice location Excellent Service - The lodge is located in Sun Peaks, a cool haven in the summer 40 minutes from very hot Kamloops. Small village with interesting restaurants and stores. The Lodge is nestled in trees and the best feature is the manager Richard who is attentive to every guest and goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable. The free breakfast is a plus.
- Brian (10/5): Nice stay - No issues… nice room.. big balcony.
A very nice breakfast as well .
- geneva (10/5): - Such a cute place to stay ! Staff is extremely friendly and kind, love it here
- sophia (10/5): - The check in was fantastic
- Patrick (10/5): - Great staff and beautiful property
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place - Lovely place to stay in the mountains with restaurants nearby
- nfulmer20 (10/5): Very peaceful vacation - We had a very relaxing peaceful vacation. Richard is a great host and resort manager; he makes the place feel very warm and welcoming.
- Thomas (10/5): - Check in was fast and easy , Richard runs a great ship here at Pinnacle Lodge. Beds comfortable and more than enough for breakfast.
No more afternoon teas served, that’s beeb discontinued, too bad. All good with staff and accommodations.
- P5107FYsharonj (10/5): We LOVE this place! - The Location, the Staff, the Buffet Breakfasts, the Walk to the Village, the Lodge atmosphere are all wonderful!
- nancypli (8/5): Vacations - Good service clean room close to ski good view and so on. We have a good vacation on Sun Peaks. My grandson joined the school for learning snowboarding, after one and half day 6 hours’ class he can pass green and blue trails.
- Grant (4/5): - For a reasonable rate, it would’ve been not bad. But for over $400 per night, then an extra $40 “resort fee” added to the bill, this was a huge disappointment. I took my wife here for our anniversary hoping for a nice experience and we definitely didn’t get what we paid for. I heard complaints all weekend for the same issues. Expensive and dated. Again, for say even $150 per night, I could look past the quality of this resort, however for the cost, definitely disappointed in the overall experience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Ski holiday - Clean and comfortable, nice breakfast, attentive manager , very nice stay!
- janethousden (10/5): Great winter escape - Lots to do when not skiing , friendly staff , breakfast and tea time enjoyable , beautiful place to just enjoy a walk or soak in the hot tub after a long day of skiing - restaurants and other small businesses
- Alison (8/5): - The friendliness of all the staff is what sets this lodge apart from many others. It’s well run with the staff accommodating and helpful.
The provided breakfasts are hot, plentiful and just what you need before a day of skiing.
The rooms are big, perhaps a bit out dated but who cares the beds are comfy and plenty of hot water.
The location is great a very quick drive to the main ski parking lot and a manageable walk if you prefer. Easy walk to the village.
We will look to stay here again. Good value for money.
- Gareth (10/5): A great long weekend - We stayed for 3 nights for skiing and it was a great stay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is modern and airy but with a cozy lodge feel and the surroundings are really beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone taking a trip to Sun Peaks.
- David (8/5): - The good: Property is well kept and clean. Views of slopes are nice. Parking was easy. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is great. Village trail pathway is nearby and lovely.
The bad: wifi was completely non-functional. NOT ski in, ski out. Lift ticket kiosk is a good 15 minute walk, carrying all gear. Resort fee is an annoying add-on. Just include it in room price and save us all the grief.
- derekgreenly (10/5): Pinnacle Lodge ski trip - The Lodge is excellent and the staff especially Richard and Abby were very welcoming and helpful for our ski trip. They helped us settle into the resort and gave us great tips on where to eat out. Richard also let us borrow a spare Apple laptop charger
- Carol (10/5): - I love this lodge! We will return. Staff is awesome, breakfast, Awesome! Great walking distance to the village.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok at best. - Staff arrived late, coffee and breakfast not ready when stated it should be. Resort fee wasn't disclosed prior to booking. Don't think it would boom agan for the price.
- Jody (10/5): - liked the friendly and professional staff
- arnold (10/5): - Everything - staff super helpful and friendly, breakfasts were great, lounges so spacious and comfortable, rooms comfortable with everything you need. Loved my stay
- Jasmine (10/5): - Quiet place and warm staff, great recreation and eating area.
- Ellen (10/5): - Richard is a wonderful host
The breakfast is exceptional
- Giuseppe (10/5): - All good.
- Jennifer (10/5): - The manager Richard was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the lobby and games/puzzle area was such a nice place to hang out in in the evening and the breakfast was awesome. I would hands down stay here again.
- Brenda (10/5): - The manager was very friendly and explained the property and its facilities thoroughly. The room was cozy and clean. Definitely coming back to this lodge for future trips :)
- Amy (10/5): - I recently hosted my birthday party at the Pinnacle. 6 adults and 6 kids. The manager, Richard, made everyone feel so welcome and he helped make it a very special weekend. This is by far our best resort experience.
- Laura (10/5): - Very cozy and comfortable. We were greeted at the door and given a full explanation of what all was available at the lodge. Amazing full breakfast cooked for us in the morning. Would certainly stay there again.
- Michael (10/5): - Richard the host and all the staff were so friendly and helpful ...sauna was a bonus live the outdoor hot tub I will definitely come back 1 st time to Sun peaks and enjoyed every minute just sad I can't stay longer
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bait and switch - We learned in arrival that Pinnacle Lodge is a time share property that sells rooms in the off season. We expected a resort and got something completely different. We were shocked. No restaurant, no elevator, no help for disabled people to get to the room, crappy mattresses ( we almost slept in the car), dated rooms. We went 30 miles out of our way for what we thought would be a great place, a warm dinner after a long drive, and were sadly disappointed. There were no amenities. Richard the manager was personable and upbeat, but ultimately not helpful for what we needed or expected. We were told we could use their microwave or bbq to cook our own dinner or walk into town to search for something that was open. Hotels.com should be ashamed for how they dishonestly market this place.
- Michelle (8/5): - So close to the village, yet surrounded by nature
- Lucas (10/5): - Robert was a fantastic host, very helpful and knowledgeable.
Great location and lots of room to store our bikes
- 413jerriec (10/5): Sun Peaks mountain resort - The Pinnacle Lodge was a great place to stay. The resort manager gave us such a warm and wonderful welcome. He made us feel special throughout our whole stay. The resort was nice, clean, great location with just a short walk to the village. The dining room was open at all hours for dishes, silverware, glasses, condiments/spices. Staff will clean all your dishes too. The common area had lots of games, puzzles and movies, and lots of sitting areas. The lobby was nicely decorated. There were bicycles and helmets to check out that were great to ride.
- Chalita (10/5): - I had such an awesome stay. This place feels so homie and the staffs are so nice and kind. I can't wait to come back in the winter!
- Huizi (10/5): - Richard is very warm and nice! We stayed here on our way home from banff/jasper and it made us feel at home already. Mom loved this place.
- JMac6244 (8/5): Relaxing, beautiful location - Great for hiking enthusiasts. Otherwise limited activities and shops. Friendly staff,
Not great for people with mobility issues or wheelchairs, Did not notice any ramps, all stairs.
Hot tub, no pool. Great host and breakfast. If you have sensitivities ( gluten/dairy) bring your own supplies.
.
- Nurse4u78 (10/5): Honeymoon Relaxation - Such a beautiful place to celebrate our honeymoon. Pinnacle Lodge was very clean, well stocked where their moto is "stay like you live here"- and it really felt like it; the lodge in the common areas had a wonderful nostalgic mountain decor and the layout was great from the dining area that had perfect breakfast hours and hot food that changed daily, with fruits, cereals, coffee/tea, juices...all so Yum, the big beautiful windows looking out to the mountain and evergreens; our corner room was perfect for the 2 of us and very very clean, I want to stay forever for just the bed and pillows for how comfortable they were, the bathroom was updated and all of the towels and amenities needed for a vacation, the sitting area was great for us to read next to the fireplace, the balcony was gorgeous and large with chairs to relax- the only negative about the room for us was the small top window that was the only one that opened, which at times for June/July it got a little stuffy in the room but the fan helped at night to circulate the air; parking was ample and the pathways well maintained to walk to the main resort as needed. It was so accessible for restaurants, fun, and convenience! Richard, the inn manager even went above to assist me with a surprise work request that I did not anticipate...I was stressed for access for what I needed but he jumped right in to help. It only took 15 minutes, but it meant a lifetime to me. I am forever grateful for that and his kindness. The recommendations for things to do on the area, where we went twice go hike then white water rafting Wells Gray Park made our trip...thank you Richard. The seasonal staff were professional and always had a smile and helpful when needed. My husband and I loved this resort for our honeymoon for peace, quiet, relaxation, beauty...were all met above and beyond. It was hard to pack up to head back home and we would definitely recommend this spot for any couples and small family.
- Debbie (8/5): - A nice welcome and friendly stay!
- 650reneek (10/5): Summer at Sun Peaks - Pinnacle Lodge beautiful and an easy walk to the village. The hot breakfast is amazing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lodge supplies bikes/helmets, lockers, laundry facility. Lots of stuff to do including riding the chairlift up to the top where there is a restaurant and tons of hiking trails for every level of walker/hiker. Golf course is challenging but beautiful. Village has assorted restaurants/services
- jprjorim (10/5): A Little Piece of Heaven! - The Pinnacles Lodge at Sunpeaks ski/cycle area near Kamloops is well worth the drive. Upon first arriving, guests are met by Richard (manager) or other friendly, knowledgeable staff who immediately make them feel welcome. The grounds and buildings are kept extremely clean and are well kept up. Our room was very clean and had a large deck, gorgeous views, a fireplace, soaker tub, large shower, queen bed with clean bedding, a small fridge, to name a few amenities. All guests are provided with delicious breakfasts and are then able to bring in their own food and prepare meals and/or snacks, using all the resources in the communal dining area including a toaster, microwave, kettle, dishes, etc. Tea/coffee, and iced tea is always available and all dishes are to be left in bins with the staff looking after cleaning them. We loved helping ourselves to tea etc while preparing simple lunches or dinners in this brightly lit, friendly atmosphere. Upstairs from the eating area is a large loft that provides board games, puzzles, a t.v. and a few sitting areas for guests to read etc. The lodge itself is merely a 5-10 minute walk along paved trails to the village which is a thriving place with many restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, and retail stores. We just returned from 7 days at the lodge and busied ourselves by riding our own e-bikes, hiking, taking the bubble chairlift up and down the mountain, exploring the village, dining, and getting to know other guests from all over the world. The lodge is located on the 9th hole of an 18 hole golfcourse which is another very positive feature. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and we are looking forward to returning soon.

- Jamie (4/5): - Only thing good is the hotel is close to the hill
- Kevster2014 (10/5): Exceeded our expectations and the breakfast is worth the hype! ;) - Exceeded our expectations! We especially appreciated the friendly customer service from Richard and his team. He was such a great host and the daily hot and delicious breakfast is definitely worth experiencing. The room was great for the two of us, clean and quiet and we had the most peaceful sleeps with a comfy bed and the sound of the stream. (Remember to bring your own shampoo/conditioner) We appreciated the mountain and forest views off the spacious deck. Great location as we walked to the village to the restaurants and used the mountain bikes included with the stay for some extra fun. Thanks for the great stay, hope to be back soon!
- CathyC607 (10/5): A hidden gem - I stayed at Pinnacle Lodge for three nights, having exchanged points from the Registry Collection. This property consists of two buildings completed in 1998, which was initially planned as a couples retreat. This was not financially viable and the property was sold to investors who got permission to market it as a timeshare. This means that only timeshare owners and registered guests can use the amenities. The location is in a nice area adjacent to walking trails, a five minute walk to the village. There is a large dining area with panoramic windows overlooking the 9th tee box (black) of the golf course. A delicious hot breakfast is served every morning. A small resort fee (about $19 per day) covers breakfast, the use of the barbecue and kitchen, a chest reeder, a laundry (including detergent), a mezzanine common room with a book and DVD library, a sauna, hot tub and gym. This is tremendous value. The rooms are very comfortable indeed and well maintained. Rooms have large balconies overlooking the forest, which are underused. Apparently the original plan was to instal hot tubs on each balcony for the couples that never came. Richard is the resort manager and he is very welcoming and helpful. His team does a great job. I think the best description for this property from a guest’s point of view is that it is an upmarket bed and breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.
- artv281 (10/5): Great place to visit! - Great place, great location, very nice friendly staff. Different items for breakfast each day. Comfortable beds, includes a sauna and a hot tub. Nice trails to walk around the property and can also walk to the ski hill.
- Ursula_in_Aus (10/5): Beautiful Resort in a Great Location - The room details - down to the fireplace and the wine glasses and ice bucket - are lovely. The balcony with its forest view was a bonus. The breakfast every day was terrific, and being able to do my laundry was a plus.
- Colleen (10/5): - Property was close to the village (5 minute stroll). We were visiting during shoulder season, so place was very quiet. We enjoyed being able to sit and enjoy reading in the upstairs area. Staff friendly. Breakfast included.
- William (4/5): - Buyer Beware: No real complaints about the property itself - however, this resort charges an additional $19/person as a resort fee in addition to the room charges posted. Basically, this covers a very expensive breakfast as the additional amenities have little or no value for skiers. Additionally, I needed to check out 1 day early from a week-long stay which I informed them of when I arrived - but when I tried to make this adjustment through Expedia I was told the resort inventory manager named Karen said no. Because of the above, I would never stay at this resort or any sister properties again.
- Darryl (10/5): - We had a great stay, the staff was amazing! It was close enough to walk to Sun Peaks and they have daily breakfast as part of the stay. We would definitely stay again.
- Samantha (10/5): - Will DEFINITELY stay here again, probably on a yearly basis honestly. The rooms were incredible, the hot tub and sauna were awesome extras, free parking, and oh the breakfast, it was AMAZING. the staff were incredible, literally cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay here
