But not the end of the world There was no fire escape. Only the front door you could use. The back door was locked and bolted, we couldn't get out the door, if there were a fire at front door we wouldn't of got out. That is actually illegal. I'll be following this up to see if you improve the fire escapes

• Roger & Gay (8/5): Very pleasant, the single bed was very comfortable. Would stay again when next in Rotorua. - I was impressed by the cleanliness and space of my unit. Wifi was spot on without any hiccups with connection. Other motels I have stayed at weren't as good. Office closed, how would you ask questions or seek help if needed. Although this was indicated on their web page, it was an inconvenience having to uplift key from another motel. Understand the office was being refurbished.
• Anthony (3/5): It’s ok is you get a good price - We thought the price wasn’t too bad, based on existing reviews. Given that They’re doing it up with-a number of recent additions, it’s at a bare pass for what we expect.. The bed was comfortable. Parking for a smallish car, in front of the unit was good, with a sensor light above it. First impressions weren’t good. Still a long way to go in doing this place up, before we’d stay here again. We had unit 6; still had a broken oven which should be dumped, cupboards that don’t close properly, a fridge that’s really too big for the unit, a shower curtain that is useless, the pressure in the shower is way too strong with no way to adjust it down, no side boards in the bedroom, the list goes on. Also, you need to check in via the Ambassador Motor Inn, about a kilometre or so away.

Would recommend & happy to stay there again in the future. Having to register at a different location, but I can fully understand why they are doing it that way.

Lovely service , smile & that was such a nice way to start our trip . The room was also great , had everything needed and more, the air con was phenomenal 💯 it was such a hot weekend & having the air con was such a life saver .

• Kara (10/5): - Close to town and spacious. The oven door and elements were broken. We had an ant trail on the wall where the single bed was in the lounge area and the room until had a strong smell of curry which was overwhelming.

• Anthony (2/5): Don't recommend it! - Nothing The bed was so old & saggy. Very uncomfortable! Could feel the springs in it. The hair dryer when turned on was bright red inside & very soon switched itself off! Very dangerous & should not be in the room! The vent in the bathroom was very dirty so much so it couldn't do its job! Nothing to like! No on-site reception so you had to go to another motel to check in. Very inconvenient.

Would only stay again if we didn't have to waste money on towels - Cheap, quiet, There wasn't any guest towels in the room so we had to go out and buy some since there wasnt any information about the room and no reception to accommodate a couple towels for my kids. Very sad and shocking. I could've saved money by going to a more expensive place to stay where I didn't have to buy any towels.

Was very noisy and we were up all night because of rattling and machines going off from the room next to us.

Loved everything except I didn’t know how to turn the heaters off. Luckily my brother inlaw came to visit and he knew so maybe a little note just to let people know so they don’t spend almost the whole day trying to find a switch😅

• Robyn (9/5): Superb - The apartment had lots of room Clean and facilities excellent. I will recommend to my family and friends. It was affordable and comfortable for a family of 4. At first collecting the key from one location proved to be a blessing in disguise. As the accommodation was great 👍

• cn833 (2/5): Stay at another place - This place is not as advertised. We initially thought we were going to have to sleep on the sofa bed. When we pulled it out, the mattress cover was very dirty. We called the manager, who told us he had "upgraded" us to a one bedroom apt, but didn't tell us at check in and we initially thought the door to the bedroom, which was very hard to push open, was to an adjoining room. Per the website and FB site, it was supposed to have a heated swimming pool and a private mineral bath, but it did not. The pool was dirty and cold, and the thermal mineral bath was locked and boarded. The kitchenette was not stocked well,.e.g., no spatula or tongs, or lid for the skillet. Check in was at a different location, 2 km distance. The office is not in use and has signs posted that it is not up to earthquake standard code. We were not able to access the guest laundry. The room was clean and in a good location. We would have chosen another place to stay, but were tired from driving all day.

• Pieter (7/5): Clean and comfortable, but basic. Good for one or two nights. - Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Adequately equipped. Close to CBD. Quiet back street. No reception or staff on site (check-in is at the Ambassador). Heat pump in living area, but no heating in bedroom and no spare blankets.
• Roxanne (6/5): Beautiful stay. - It worked for us, cosy small studio. The bed was holo, squeaky when sitting down and getting up out of the bed.

I see it was used for emergency housing why is there no office on site had to go to another motel for a key $150 dollars down the back door was locked if you wanted to use the private mineral pool probably couldn’t use if we wanted to
