Guest Reviews
- Adano (10/5): - Perfect location, very quiet, walk to the beach and restaurants.
- eric (10/5): - This is so awesome. Best place ever. Everyone's staff included.
- Vinisha (6/5): - The rooms were too smelly. Even spraying didn’t help and they didn’t change the room. Bedcovers and sheets were dirty. Water didn’t run down in the bath area creating puddle every time you take a shower
- manju (10/5): - Everything was in a walkable distance, staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. House keeping was perfect.enjoyed my stay at the hotel.
It ticked all the boxes.
- Sanjiv (10/5): Comfortable stay - We enjoyed our trip very much. Pool was little small but deep enough. It was covered and we enjoyed swimming during rainy days.
Break fast was good lot of options very attentive staff. Very delicious North Indian food in dinner. The thing I didn’t like was the lighting in rooms were very old may be 15 years old led lights In washrooms wasn’t appropriate. Linens were old need a change
Hotel on candolim calangute road. Very convenient location. Will definitely come back
- Sandeep (10/5): - Nice clean hotel staff was amazing
Food at the restaurant was amazing..
Really helped my nephew with his allergies
The only problem I found was rooms were being cleaned at 3-6pm a bit late for me ..
I also needed a gown which I could have ordered but released on the last day
But it was an amazing stay .. i can’t moan
- Mayra (10/5): - Very friendly staff, thanks candolim acacia hotel😘
- Pushpendra (10/5): - It was awesome staying at this property.
- Peter (6/5): - We stayed at the hotel when it first opened, went back 8 years later and felt that the was really tired and needed up grading,,, the staff were great though
- Jessie (10/5): Great stay! - We loved our stay at this hotel, would recommend anyone visiting north goa to stay here.
Thanks to all that made it extra comfortable
- Lokesh (10/5): - Excellant stay at the Acacia hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous .
Most of the things are near by to hotel like candolim beach, market for shopping, car/bike rentals etc.
Hotel is conveniently located in candolim.
Hotel's restaurant food is tasty but little bit higher on the price side.
Breakfast buffet served had a lot of varieties to chose from and at the same time tasty and joyful.
The dining area is at the 4th floor with a nice view of the city..
Over all we had a joyful stay as a family traveler and would definitely revist and recommend it.
- Gordon (10/5): - Staff were excellent, especially Baani on reception who went above and beyond her duties to make me feel comfortable. Room was big and spacious and cleaned every day.
- Celia (10/5): Great hotel - Stayed 5 nights. Hotel super clean. Friendly helpful professional staff. Close to beach, shops and great selection of eating places. Breakfast was good. Taxi just outside the door. Busy area but felt very safe
- Karun (4/5): Below average hotel and not value for money - Hotel overall was below average. When we reached the room assigned to us was not clean. Missing water, towels and bed was unmade. We had to ask the hotel staff to get our room ready while we forcefully had to go out for dinner while waiting for the room to be ready.
Apart from the above the breakfast was again below average and had to wait for long for food to come out for refilling.
- kaartik (8/5): - Very nice and comfortable stay. The breakfast was included and extremely good. Great location near the beach and in the middle of the market so you can walk to several restaurants and shops. Definitely recommended.
- Amit (6/5): good location - good location + decent size room thats Plus point. Ritesh in front desk is help.
hotel looks outdated and need maintainance. was surprised to see blood stain bedlinen
food just about OK.
only stay for location but expensive for the price
- Verified traveler (6/5): - We had been to the hotel during April 2019 for 4 days
The hotel is not that expensive hence decided to give a try,
The check in process went smoothly but the hotel staff for room services don’t reach you within reasonable time let it be for anything
The in room dining they offer 20% off but charge 5% service charge for just providing food in room even the prices of food are quite high so the 20% discount is just a marketing gimmick
The food is not at all good and quality ones and even their menu choices are very limited, even breakfast in morning the Indian food used to be really bad so we used to have only fruits and juices
The hotel does not have its vehicle for any kind of airport or within the city transfers, they suggest to go out and hire a cab or rent a car on your own
The spa services were really good so I would give it a point for this
The worst part about our stay was that electricity used to go after every 5 mins for some seconds and one day they didnt had electricity for nearly one hr which is disgusting
Even cleanliness wise the hotel was really bad, plates used to lie outside many of rooms for entire day and swimming pools were really very dirty
I would rather suggest to stay at a good hotel in its vicinity by spending a few bucks extra if you want to have a peaceful and happy stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Walking distance to the beach.
Clean and comfortable rooms.
Abhishek was very helpfull.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the stay there. Staff was amazing in all aspects.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location, friendly staff, rooms on north side of top floor have noisy AC units on roof. No problem with a change of room after first night. Good rooftop restaurant. Hotel seemed to to be short of basic facilities, eg towels, coat hangers etc. Overall pleasing
- Vikas Sadashiv (8/5): Friendly staff - It was short & pleasant. The staffs were very helpful and taking care of the service, but the rooms has to be upgraded.
- Meryl (10/5): - We loved staying at Acacia Hotel. The ambience was relaxing, friendly and super helpful. We got to know the staff really well and truly enjoyed our time there.
Thank you everyone.
- Jason (10/5): - Great hotel, but the taxi guys outside are con artists. Considering the hotel recommended them I wouldn’t expect it. Prebook and prepay any airport taxi.
Also goa has rolling blackouts but seems to be everywhere.
- Kanav (8/5): - We had a great stay at the hotel. Location is fabulous if you’re interested in the sights and sorroundings of Candolim. Supermarket is 6 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and bars around the corner. They also have a restaurant and bar on rooftop which is quite nice. All in all a great stay.
- Chris (8/5): Comfortable Hotel well situated for the beach - The Acacia Hotel & Spa is a well appointed and managed hotel which is very conveniently situated access to the beach as well as close to the town's night-life and restaurants being on the main Aguada Road. We found the staff very courteous and helpful. The rooms are a good size and well furnished with a range of conveniences in the room including a fridge, safe , cable TV etc. The breakfast menu is generous and caters to both Indian and European tastes.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Breakfast was really good! - Guests had a great experience. The breakfast was delectable.
- Drew (10/5): We love this hotel! - Fantastic area, hotel, and service! We really enjoyed our 1 night stay here. It's very close to tourist shopping, street markets, and a great beach nearby.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central location - Hotel was comfortable, friendly, and resourceful. Needs to improve their wi-fi connection and sewage smell in room.
- Christine (8/5): Good hotel - We had a nice time in the hotel. It would be nice if the breakfast would offer some english breakfast. It was a bit to indian.
- Vikram (6/5): 2N/3D Babylon trip - The overall experience with the hotel is good. I do not want to rate them negative. However this trip was important for me as I planned a Babymoon (pre-baby R+R) for my wife (expecting) and I did inform well in advance while making the reservation.
All I wanted is to make it a comfortable trip and stay.
Challenges faced
- While asking for directions, I was misguided (took me 30 mins extra to drive on bad roads)
- Air Con in the room stopped functioning at mid night and discomfort. I did not inform the staff that time as we figured a workaround to off and switch it on again. I am sure they would have done something to fix it if informed but at midnight I did not want my wife to stretch and stay awake in discomfort
- Hotel Wi-Fi (complimentary) never worked for us in 3 days stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great vacation in Goa, India - Very good rooms with plenty of space. The hotel is new and so are the facilitates available. The rooms were very clean.
The service qualities were better than usual. The service was quite pleasant and prompt. The hotel amenities were alright.
The location was okay but was the best thing that the management could do.
Yet, they have done a good job.
- Ajit (2/5): The hotel deducted extra amount and not returning - The hotel deducted extra amount by doing twice swipe of my credit card. I am still following up with them to get my money back however they are not at all interested in looking into the matter. It was their mistake but nobody is taking accountability from their side. I will never refer this hotel to anybody.
Also though they claim the hotel as 4 stars but it is not even worth of 2 stars. The ambiance, service and rooms are so pathetic. Food quality is also not good. Their SPA is not more than a simple body massage. They dont even know what is SPA.
my overall experience was worst with this hotel and they spoiled our holiday.
- marsha (8/5): Awesome - Awesome
- NS (2/5): - Food is bad. Room service is worse. No cleaning towels.
- Indrajeet (8/5): Great Stay & Very Good Staff - Stayed for 2 Nights. The overall hotel stay was very good. The staff was cooperative and very friendly. Thumbs up for the service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Service - Room service needs serious improvement
Overall Food Quality every good
- Abdul Aziz (4/5): Disappoinment - I was very disappointed first day when I went for check in with my confirmed booking they were over booked and had no rooms to give me had to wait for 3-4 hours till things were sorted.
- Mike (8/5): Modern comfortable hotel - Acacia hotel situated on busy main road. Good central position close to many shops and restaurants, 300 yards from the beach. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet.
- Snehal (10/5): Very clean and modern hotel - 500 m of the beach - We found the hotel room and general decor to be pleasant, modern and clean. The staff were all very helpful and when we needed things fixed in our room - ie the cable TV plug wasn't working, it was fixed immediately. Breathtaking views from the top deck. A short walk to Condolim beach which was less crowded and less polluted compared to Calangute and Baga. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance from the hotel.
- Miles (10/5): Acacia hotel review - Excellent hotel - only negertive was the pool , it never gets any sun and is basically an indoor pool
- Singh (10/5): Good hotel close to the beach and restaurants. - Very good experience which was made special by the hotel staff. We arrived early at the hotel and were allowed to checked-in without having to wait until 2pm.
- amit singh (4/5): Great Location, pathetic service - though the location is good and the hotel is very clean and optically good, teh service is very pathetic. the hotel is definately understaffed. toom serivce does not turn up even after 3 calls. People at teh receptin are not at all helpfull and they do not listen to any of your requests. we were told we will be provided with an extra bed, but was not provided, and was only provided when they were threatened by us that we would complain to the manager or sooo... Net ne a very bad experience. Breakfast is very bad, they do not have much choice.
- Hannah (8/5): Friendly staff, good location and sleek rooms - The hotel is in a good location. Once you come to terms with the fact that many parts of Goa and India have large piles of rubble, wastelands, and even stray cows, this hotel offers a lot in terms of access to to good restaurants, taxis and local super market stores.
The hotel employees were very pleasant, opening doors for us, wishing us a good day and catering to us extensively, even a little too extensively at breakfast! I found all of Acacia's people to be great advocates of their brand.
The breakfast was good and comprehensive. There is a selection of continental, English and Indian breakfasts. I really enjoyed the Goan cuisine choices and small muffins! However it would have been be nice to have some more day to day variety at breakfast time.
Some small downsides: our internet was only valid for 24 hours and a little patchy at that, despite our belief that it was a 24/7 complimentary feature throughout our stay. We felt that the shower leaked slightly as there was often a small puddle in front of our door. Although the balcony was much appreciated, our view was a little lacking. The hotel also hosts music and food events which are a mixed bag as we hear some beautiful and authentic Bollywood music, but it can be a little distracting if you would like a quiet relaxing nights sleep.
Overall I would really recommend Acacia for this area of Goa in terms of quality service, excellent traveller friendly restaurants nearby and as a good starting base for exploring!
- JAYESH UDAWAT (4/5): Disappointing hotel in such a amount we paid for - Disappointing hotel in such a amount we paid for . Cheating with the mini bar inside the room as all such categeories hotel offers mini bar kind of things for free. Power cut in frequent timings and hotel does have a plenty amount of natural space in goa kind of place. Instead of this go for TAJ in almost same price.
- deepali (8/5): Good location - Overall good. Had issues with no hot water in the bathroom for 2 days. This accoridng to the staff was experienced by everyone in the hotel but strangely was not fixed till i called the reception twice. Also, the bathroom doors have a lot to desire -- they are flimsy and locks are really just there for display. They need to definitely improve on that
- Nikesh (8/5): Decent hotel but services can get better - We stayed at Acacia for 3 nights. The location, room and room service was quite good. Only drawback of our stay was the facility where we had breakfast. It was in an open area and most of the food was in containers with no lids and hence even flies had access to what looked like delicious food. No one was bothered to do anything about it. We ended up skipping those items since it was unhygienic.
- 1819 (10/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel with good service
- Yerlan (10/5): - Everything was excellent!
- shilpi (8/5): Nice place to stay - Comfortable rooms.. Good breakfast.. Humble staff...lovely stay.
- Z (10/5): Great location - The hotel is walking distance from Candolim Beach.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Spanking new hotel very close to Candolim beach - I stayed at Acacia, Goa recently. It is indeed a spanking new property and is very well maintained. Hence adds on to the feel-good-factor.
Hotel: It is not a very big property but is very well designed. Really good, well-maintained and clean pool. Excellent, cosy room with 5 star standards. Room balcony / sit-out is also very good. Smiling and helpful staff all around. They serve Biotique products/toiletries which are very good.
Wi-Fi: We had a front Road facing room on 1st floor and Wi-Fi signal was very good everywhere in the room. Internet speed was fast too.
Location: Awesome. Only 5 minutes’ walk from Candolim beach (some excellent shacks to check out nearby). Market area is close with lots of shops and eateries.
Food: I tried the buffet breakfast which is excellent - Very good taste and enough variety – continental as well as Indian. I must complement the chef for choosing such good variety of food and changing it daily basis. Truly Amazing.
They have a spa which was operational. I did not try but it looked good. They will soon be coming up with a rooftop grill and a nightclub in basement.
The rooms are not sound proof. At times, some sounds from outside gallery / nearby temple chants do come in – though not much of a trouble.
But, all in all, a very good stay. I definitely recommend and will stay again here.
