The private onsen was great and they provided amenities that I haven't had in other onsens like face masks and a towel dryer. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel provided a shuttle bus from Sapporo Station which made getting here and back easy. We personally didn't feel the need to go out and explore as Jozankei wasn't a super interesting area to us so we have nothing else to say about the location. I didn't personally use the public onsen, but my family said it was extremely large and clean as well. When visiting it, there weren't many people using it, so it apparently felt like a large private onsen. The window blinds in the private onsen space were really difficult to pull down. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't as amazing as the price tag of the room would suggest. The menu for dinner was a little odd, and while these meals easily were a good portion, I know at other onsens the food amount and variety would have me stuffed with leftovers. I agree with other reviewers, that if you have a big appetite, you might want to bring snacks as ordering extra food at the hotel cafe is not that cheap. The breakfast was partially a set menu and partially a buffet with things like salad, miso soup, and desserts. Once again, not the most impressive but not bad. Their meal services come with unlimited self service soft drinks, alcohol is not included.

The only suggestion I have is to have the restaurant staff serve drinks to the customers, instead of having the customers making multiple trips to the drinks machines to get drinks themselves.

• Khang Jiu (10/5): Quiet and comfortable stay when you need to rest - It was a quiet environment (maybe is off-peak season) and about 80% is local guest during my stay. And the staff are friendly and some of them spoke English well, so didn’t have any difficult on communication.

• WEI KAI (8/5): - 房間內有溫泉，我原地發瘋。溫泉旅館住過很多間，但100%活水狀態的是真沒見過（我是鄉下人...）。我是選一泊二食的方案，晚餐的十勝和牛讓我體驗第一次什麼是「對不起我再也吃不下和牛了」的精神狀態，還是推薦朋友們都要體驗一次。 服務友善親切。房間很寬敞，景色還不錯。樓下大浴池也很不錯，有高溫桑拿和2-3種不同池可以泡。也有冷池。 讓鄉下人本人我驚呆的還有，女性工作人員直接進來清掃+整理空間這件事。表定打烊時間前一個半小時突然走進來收東西，我正在換衣服，差點原地去世。結果進去沖澡時，同一位工作人員又走進來清理。經驗蠻糟糕的。

Премиум интерьер (напомнил нам 5ти звездочный отель в Дубае). Есть красивейшая библиотека с интересными книгами, которые можно взять и почитать в удобной вам локации. Бар, сувенирный магазин. Рядом есть сад, но так кам мы были в январе и всего одну ночь, мы не гуляли там, в теплое время года я думаю там очень красиво. Обязательно вернёмся уже на более долгое время проживания. Рекомендую всем на 100%!

• Sofiia (10/5): Отличное место - Большой комфортный и очень красивый отель. Номера просторные с высокими окнами из которых открывается вид на заснеженный лес. Внутри номера есть свой собственный онсен, поэтому если у вас есть татуировки, вы можете отдохнуть в нем, так как в общий онсен с татуировками не пускают, но говорят он очень красивый :) Недалеко находится парк, в котором можно погреть ножки в источнике, а также буддийский храм. Ужин и завтрак подается волшебный: много закусок и рыбы, также вы заранее можете сообщить о своих предпочтениях в питании и отель постарается их учесть. Очень удобно, что есть бесплатный трансфер от вокзала Саппоро и обратно, который бронируешь заранее. Наверно только то, что не пускают в общий онсен с татуировкой, было бы хорошо если бы для туристов делали исключение.
• Nischala (7/5): Beautiful place to stay in - IF you manage to reach. - Unbelievably beautiful, neat, amazing Onsen in your room and great dinner and breakfast. Just having 1 shuttle bus at 1:00pm makes no sense to me. I think they need to have at least two or have the time pushed back a few hours like 3/4:00pm. I’d booked it well in advanced but missed it because all trains, buses and modes of transport from Otaru and Sapporo were cancelled due to a snow storm. Somehow managed to reach Sapporo around 2:30pm but zero help from the hotel on how to reach. The “public transport” bus that they mention on their website needs prebooking too and I was denied entry. So of course an expensive taxi is the only way. So book here only if you’re prepared to be stranded if you miss their one shuttle bus. Also the public Onsen has a big wooden board covering more than half the view. Their website doesn’t show it like that.
• Murphy (8/5): We stayed at 6 hotels in total, this one stood far above the rest. - Incredible view, great choice of private and public amenities, captivating culinary experience, surrounding area is extremely engaging. Commuting to and from the location, the laundry ammenities were partially inoperable and disproportionate to the scale of the needs of the guests in the hotel, and the tattoo policy regarding the open baths.

• Suvi (9/5): Yukimi Onsen experience - Higher end onsen hotel yet with a comfortable atmosphere. Very clean. Loved the outdoor onsen which was spectacular during the winter with snowfall. Views from the room were also stunning and private in-room hot bath a wonderful addition. Overall a very relaxing stay! The pictures are not quite correct. The women’s onsen has a high fence blocking the view to the nature. In many places if one of the facilities is better they alternate men/women sides so that everyone can enjoy. Here, not. Hotel website says there’s a shuttle bus service but it did not operate. Jozankei is remote, which of course is part of the experience, but getting there and back took some effort. Ski bus runs only on weekends. Unfortunatley there is an ugly appartment building opposite the hotel ruining the otherwise picturesque scenery (also not shown in the pictures).

• Si Jia (10/5): A nice respite away from Sapporo - Location - convenient to head to main town yet away from the hustle and bustle. Convenient to take kappa liner bus too. Rooms were spacious and staff were super friendly! Massage was good too. Breakfast and dinner options were not bad and they make an effort to alternate the menu if you stay for more than 1 night. I wish they had a later breakfast / dinner timing, and maybe a lounge that served snacks for supper. Do note that late checkout requires extra payment.
• Annie (9/5): A relaxing stay with great food, a private onsen, and wonderful staff. - The room was impressively spacious and beautifully arranged, with the added luxury of a private in-room onsen that made it easy to relax in total comfort. Every meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and the staff were genuinely wonderful. The view from the room was also a highlight—especially watching the snow gently fall outside. The amenity bar wasn’t clearly marked as something you needed to collect from the shop, and we wished the in-room onsen window could open wider. It was also difficult to get assistance at night, as the overnight staff spoke limited English after the day reception team finished. Although the self-service laundry was free, there were only two washers and two dryers, so it was often in use and hard to access.

• Shane (10/5): Great value Japanese hotel experience - Stunning property. Staff were very friendly, informative and efficient. This place is terrific value for money. The room size was huge with a sitting area as well as two extra large single beds. Bathroom and bath overlooking the river were fantastic. The provided Samue fit us well as larger westerners and was fun to wear around the hotel to dinner and breakfast. Dinner was plentiful and delicious. All courses were meticulously prepared and plated with the highlight being the prime rib. We didn’t stay longer

The prime rib is definitely something worth going there to try. The hotspring here is the best I've to at this point. The location is on the edge of the city, it is close to the park. Was unable to go up the mountain due to snow. Might be a walk if you want to see the entire town.

• chanskraymond (10/5): Overall a very enjoyable and memorable stay. - Exceptional location with breath taking view during the foliage season. Room is spacious, spotless and very tastefully designed. Staff was professional, courtesy and very efficient. Meal is exceptionally high standard and service was excellent. For table arrangement during meal time we were assigned to be seated side by side in front of the grand window. Though view was nice but we would very much prefer to be assigned with a regular table and certainly like to be asked of our preference.

• Natalie C H (9/5): Will come again. - Everything is good and value for money. Have private onsen in room and suitable for family. Has a Library available for guests is a bonus. Hope can provide more choices for breakfast.
