- Larter Consulting (6/5): Inconvenient stay on a beautiful site - Pros: Comfortable bed, good temperature control, fab modern Chinese restuarant on site, good wifi. Cons: Nobody ever at reception desk, no in-room guide to anything, difficult to navigate property, construction at 7am with no warning, no food nor ability to cook in room, no espresso coffee. It's a unique property, I felt like I was staying at a residential aged care facility but with no staff around. The owners didn't really look after their guests, I literally helped a guest myself, and another time had to ask construction workers for directions. I got the feeling this property may be earmarked for something else. The focus was on renovation, and the amazing restsaurant.

- Leesa M (8/5): Over night for driving holiday. - We enjoyed our stay and was great value for money. Unfortunately seeing the place is an original home, it affected my allergies quite badly. Our room was large but the bathroom toilet sliding door locked by a hock was adjoining the original lounge room and reception area. I would suggest filling in this door so the room feels like a room not like a shared bathroom. When on the loo you could hear people talking in the reception area. Felt like anyone could have tried to open the door on the other side. Didn’t feel secure. We only stayed 1 night. Staff friendly. Easier to get to the resort via new housing estate than the way the directions take you. Liked seeing wallabies.
- Jens (4/5): Cannot recommend for elderly travelers. - We are an elderly couple with mildly limited mobility, consistent with our age. Sadly, the resort has not made any provisions for catering for our age group: the shower was virtually inaccessible inside a spa bath (dangerous falls risk), no handrails, and the living room recliner required too much strength to work and was therefore unusable for us. The advertised breakfast restaurant was closed. Cannot recommend for elderly travelers.

My kids enjoyed fishing off the jetty and swimming in the pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of room for a family of 5. The onsite restaurant had excellent food and was so convenient. We will absolutely be back.

It would be nice to have the local authority extend the boardwalk to the edge of the property, although it is not too difficult to walk to Sunny's kiosk at the end of the boardwalk and it is also a very short drive.

Staying Monday night meant there was restaurant available although the brochure states it is open 7 days but there were plenty of dining options in town a short drive away.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The decor is a bit dated, but still in excellent condition. The property is well maintained. We would happily stay there again.

Nestled in a serene location, this charming retreat offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the tranquil atmosphere of the property. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque lake views. From the warm welcome at the front office to the attentive service provided by Diana and Desmond at the restaurant, every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Their genuine hospitality truly made us feel at home. The room was clean and well-appointed and provided a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of Robyn's Nest is undoubtedly the pool area. The pool offers a refreshing respite from the sun, surrounded by comfortable loungers. We will surely visit this place again.

Bar and restaurant was shut which we didn't know until we got there and access to the boardwalk is not quite as expected as you have to walk about a km down the road through the housing estate to the boat ramp to access it. But enjoyed myself immensely.

The only staff we saw (one person) were helpful and informative. Breakfast was disappointing - an additional $18.50 pp for continental breakfast with bad coffee. Could had a hot breakfast at a cafe in town for that. It was an OK place but not worth the money.

Kitchen is quite well equipped with everything you need. The owner and staff were magnificent always trying to make your stay pleasant. Highly recommended.

- Sarah (10/5): Definitely stay here! - The stay was amazing from the moment we arrived down the big driveway and saw the beautiful view of the lake. Service was friendly and attended to all our needs. As it was a quiet period we got a free room upgrade. I was staying with my partner for a weekend away without the kids and it was great. We even got shown Merimbula on a map and where all the best places to eat were. The room had a great spa bath and comfy bed too! I would stay here with kids or just a romantic getaway.

- Paul (8/5): Dissapointing - I struggle to understand the use of the descriptor "boutique" for Robyn's Nest. The decor is alarmingly locked in the 80s. I know you can see that from the interior photos, but still it was startling in real life. An odd place, difficult to describe what was wrong with it, but whatever it is, it means that Robyn's Nest is overpriced, or at least not worth that charged. Hotel location at first seems beautifully relaxing, but actually is irksomely remote, but rooms do not feel private. Bathroom is dated. The fridge was so noisy we turned it off at night. Tv was a good size in 1985, but no longer. Weird glass panels in room door allows vision from corridor to room - etc etc.

Breakfast was beautiful and the service was A+ Only thing is they need a sign at the stairs so its more obvious where to go for reception.

Breakfast the next day was good, it's great that staff help with local information if needed. A great place, we'll visit again.

- paul (8/5): Peace and quiet in an otherwise hectic world - The long winding drive down the hill adds to the anticipation and when it opens up to neat gardens with cabins and a wonderful vista of the lake you feel like you’ve arrived in paradise. Parking is easy, check-in easy and your room is nicely presented. Breakfast plentiful. Walking track along the lake and wharf to launch a canoe. The restaurant is only open in peak season and there are mozzies so bring some spray. Otherwise a really great place to stay.

The owner made us feel very welcome and was very helpful with planning our itinerary for our stay. We also seen some wild life and enjoying tracking, which was a nice change from city living.

The restaurant wasn't open but the hot and cold breakfast was delicious and sufficient in the breakfast room also taking in the morning scenery. Parking close and convenient.

A note on Reception's door told us where our room was. We saw no one! No guests around. Too remote for us!

Also very concerning is that site said " only 1 room left" but the night we stayed there was only one other room occupied. Quite bizarre

- sandie62 (8/5): Merimbula magic - Robyn's nest is nestled in bushland with views of Merimbula lake. Only a short walk to the boardwalk which is a 2kms walk into town. Glorious weather made this walk a delight. Spacious accommodation and a resort facilities. Excellent choice.

The bed was so great I struggled to get up. Brilliant views out to the lake. On top of this, breakfast was included and was top quality. Highly recommend this place, wish I was staying longer.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Out of town lake resort. - GPS said we were there, but needed to travel a further 300metres to a 1km side road that took us through the timbered property to the lake's edge. Wonderful property, great location, but lack of patronage meant lack of staff to keep the place tidy. We stayed in an up-grade Guest House balcony room that was fine, but required airing. Wonderful sunsets through the timber over the water.
