• Petra (8/5): wunderschöne kleine Pension - Die bisher veröffentlichten Bewertungen haben schon viel über diese entzückende kleine Pension in dieser wunderschönen historischen Villa gesagt. Wir haben dort zwei Nächte verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Der Gastgeber Maura war sehr zuvorkommend und gab uns gute Tipps zum Erkunden des Lago Maggiores. Der Ort Belgirate ist klein und hat nur wenige Restaurants, in der Umgebung in Lesa und natürlich in Stresa gibt es hingegen ein sehr großes Angebot. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gern wieder!

• Afua (9/5): - A big thank you to Mauro and Jane for being such compassionate hosts, I stayed here to attend a wedding and unfortunately was quite worse for drink the next day, but they went the extra mile and really helped me out. The room was clean and had a good view of the lake and is 10 minutes walk from the station and less than that for the bus stop. There is a choice to eat breakfast inside or outside in a lovely garden weather permitting.

• Dylan (10/5): - In a beautiful area super close to lake maggirore, a short bus ride away from stresa where you can catch a ferry to isola madre, isola bella and isola pescatori. Mauro was lovely and a great host!! The breakfast was delicious with a large variety. Tutto benne!!

Trevliga trädgården vara bara tillgänglig under frukosten och till 12.00 inte på eftermiddagen när det hade behövts som bäst. Men det positiva överväger det negativa, skulle kunna bo på stället igen

• Nikita (9/5): Felt like a homestay :) - The cleanliness and the hosts. They're a couple and take care great care of the property. The room had what we needed, like a hairdryer and AC. Nearby, we found nice views and restaurants. The bed was cozy, and the breakfast is simple yes, Italian, but honestly anyone can find its happiness. We had breakfast in the garden with a cute dog Liu (she's not in the garden with you, she's on the other private side of the property), she loves to play so feel free to indulge. Additional notes: parking can be a bit challenging but I'd be surprised if you don't find a spot within 5min walk; eye shades if you want to sleep in because you are guaranteed to have sun in the morning (there's a part above the windows that is basically another open window); it's quiet so earplugs only if you really need to; not many shelves or storage; really clean and tidied up; bed good and pillow is hard, thought I'd have issues but actually was fine. A lovely experience! We'd come back. We stayed two nights at this comfy B&B for a wedding. Pillows a bit hard probably, but I'm being picky. Morning light in the room, properly bright.

They really helped us with our luggages and made us feel very comfortable. The location is amazing with beautiful views of the lake. I would like to thank them for everything and absolutely recommend their B&B to our friends.

Titolari molto cortesi, ci hanno fornito indicazoini per le visite da effettuare e su come muoversi con i traghetti. Colazione abbondante e varia. Camera ordinata e con aria condizionata. Unica pecca, per noi, la mancanza del bidet.

• Marcus (8/5): 3 sehr schöne Tage im B&B Torre Lara - Das Haus und der Garten sind wunderschön gelegen in einer ruhigen Straße parallel zur Durchgangsstraße. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad ist geräumig und ebenfalls geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Aus unserem Fenster hatten wir auch einen schönen Blick auf den Lago Maggiore. Mauro und Jane sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hatten zahlreiche Tipps und Vorschläge für Ausflüge und Aktivitäten. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker und wir konnten einmal morgens draußen im Garten frühstücken. Die beiden anderen Tage war es leider zu kühl. Verständigung in Englisch klappte wunderbar. Die einzigen negativen Aspekte sind von unserer Seite die doch sehr hellhörigen Zimmer und die nahe vorbeiführenden Bahnlinie. Wir haben beides aber nicht als besonders strend empfunden.

All three rooms were beautifully and tastefully furnished with lake views. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit. We would definitely stay again.
• Iain (10/5): B&B Torre Lara. Well located to explore Maggiore - Very welcoming hosts. Informative on options to explore. Breakfast in a lovely sun trap. The variety of fruit dishes was refreshing. Coffee was quality. Rooms cleaned and freshened up every day. Air con was quiet and effective. All in all a lovely place to stay. Don’t be put off by a steep walk up from the shore nor the proximity to a train line. No issues at all.

• Ralph (10/5): Super Kurzzeit Aufenthalt. - Sehr schönes Haus, für eine Übernachtung völlig Ok. Tolles Frühstück. Bahnlinie direkt hinter dem Haus. Auch Nachts fahren Züge. Bei längerem Aufenthalt hätte uns dies wahrscheinlich gestört. Im Ort selbst gibt es nicht allzuviel anzusehen.
• Dedus (8/5): Grazioso, cordiale proprietario, ancora uno sforzo - La posizione permette di girare a piedi dall'attracco del traghetto a Lesa un paesino che ha anche il bancomat ed un supermercato. La proprietà è cordiale, ma un pò approssimativa quando racconta cenni storici dei luoghi più interessanti da visitare. La colazione è curata. Ci tengo a segnalare 2 cose da sistemare: sul treno che vibra (la casa confina con il muro del terrapieno della linea ferroviaria) è sopportabile perché risulta attuttito, ma non mi spiego l'assenza del bidé. La stanza con graziosa vista sul lago non è grande,ma il bagno davvero non poteva essere realizzato anche con il bidé? Inoltre, le finestre che danno ad est hanno 2 lunetta senza scuri il che porta ad avere il sole battente dalle 5. Bisogna pensare un modo x mettere gli ospiti in grado di dormire anche fino alle 7, 8 del mattino senza la luce del giorno.

Morgens gab es ein sehr leckeres Frühstück mit frischem Obst, Wurst, Käse und weiteren Köstlichkeiten. Wir haben die Frühstückszeit im Garten genossen. Uns hat die Bahnlinie nicht gestört. Sehr gut geht die Verständigung in Englisch oder Deutsch. Wir waren zu viert und kommen gerne wieder.

Jane and Mauro make sure that their guest can make the best out of their stay and are well energized with a lovely breakfast - if weather permits even in the garden! Would definitively stay there again!

The hosts were delightful and very helpful in giving suggestions and directions. Our room was small but adequate and the breakfast was very nice in a lovely setting. We could walk to restaurants and felt like we were in a little village.

Only minor issue is remote parking due to the location in the town, but they were very accommodating in assisting with the move in and move out..

• Martina (10/5): Bella location vista lago - Ho soggiornato in questo bed and breakfast per una sola notte con il mio fidanzato, i proprietari sono stati molto accoglienti e disponibili a consigliarci ristoranti e luoghi di interesse nelle vicinanze. Camera pulitissima con vista lago, colazione ottima e molto abbondante. La vicinanza ai binari fa sì che si senta il treno passare, ma a noi personalmente non ha dato fastidio. Consigliatissimo!
• S.P. (4/5): Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper - Trains throughout the night next to the house. Outside temp 12deg C but no heating, hence no shower. No wired Internet as advertised. Very good breakfast.
• Paul (8/5): - You will get a warm welcome from your host Mauro. Torre Lara is about 750 metres from the Belgirate Rail station...exit and turn right...it's an easy walk. Mauro has all the info for you...restaurants, bus and ferry times...and the ferry terminal and bus stop about 150 metres away. Go to Osteria Degli Amici restaurant in Stresa with confidence...Mauro's recommendation. We had the Costoletta Vitello and Entrecôte Griglia with roast vegetables and potatoe....and a bottle of Garvi Cortese and a couple of glasses of red...all up 79 Euro. Outstanding. Spent 3 hours at Villa Taranto at Verbania...get the ferry from Beligrate. Magnificent garden. Dahlias were in full bloom...over 300 varieties and 1700 plants. So many photo opportunities at the garden...my tip is for better shots go early or late...best not in full sun. Mauro also pointed us to Pizzeria Il Regno di Napoli in Verbania Intra for lunch...really good. About a km from the garden. We had six nights at Torre Laura...very comfortable, good breakfast and good location and in touch with Stresa and other villages.
• muriel (8/5): bon rapport qualité prix - Très gentils.Très bien placé pour visiter les alentours et prendre le bateau sur le lac. Petite peur en voyant qu' on est juste sous la voie ferrée mais pas de problème finalement. Juste un petit bémol on entend beaucoup la chambre voisine mais comme nous étions ensemble cela nous a moins dérangés. Petite salade de fruits maison tous les matins
