We had a room with romeo and juliet balcony and enjoyed the view of the city and people. The room was very quiet in spite of being in a noisy area. The room was very clean and staff was extraordinary in attention and service (in the room and facilities). Breakfast was delicious and staff attentive. Value for money. The room was quite small for the price. The decor was ok.. dark rooms. The hotel had very limited facilities and the restaurant only served breakfast. The bed was not the most comfortable. We stayed at another hotel in Cartagena at the end of our trip that was superior and less expensive. Only instant coffee in the room.

• Nikki (8/5): Perfectly nice stay on a busy street - Good location, within walking distance of everything and down the street from Plaza Santo Domingo. Our room was clean and minimal, with a balcony looking out on the street. It served its purpose for this trip but the location is a bit crazy and right across the street from a KFC, so I think we would choose to stay somewhere else next time. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance the entire time we were here, which was disappointing (especially during such humid and sweltering days). I do wish we had been told ahead of time this would be the case as the pool was a big draw in our booking. We ended up booking a day pass at the Sofitel’s pool instead.

The spanish architecture is stunning. Such a lovely experience.Every morning we had an amazing free breakfast. The pool was beautiful, so peaceful we were the only ones using. Felt like this was our own house to use. They make you feel number one. If you’re looking for a quaint, charming 5 star experience then you need stay here when you visit Cartagena. My husband and I will return for sure. Many thanks to everyone making our stay so enjoyable.

The common areas are cozy and perfect for relaxing. My room was quiet and very comfortable — a great place to rest after a day in Cartagena. The rooftop pool is fantastic, especially in the heat. But what really made this place special were the people: the staff are super, super friendly and made me feel welcome from the very first moment. A perfect mix of charm, comfort, and great hospitality.

• Meriem (7/5): - La localisation est parfaite en plein centre de carthagène, le petit déjeuner est super bon avec plusieurs options, la salle du petit déjeuner est belle avec un beau balcon, l’architecture de la maison est belle et le salon est magnifique. Le ménage passe chaque jour et on rafraichit la chambre chaque soir quand on est sorti pour diner. Le lit est super confortable. La terrasse et la piscine sur le toit sont agréables pour se reposer. Sur booking nous avons choisi une chambre de 25 m carré et nous avons eu une chambre plus petite de 22m carré et le réceptionniste n’a fait aucun effort pour réctifier celà. En arrivant, on a trouvé un petit mot de bienvenue mais avec le nom d’une autre personne, je l’ai remis au réceptionniste mais aucune excuse ou attention. Nous n’avions pas de miroir dans la chambre. Nous avions un séjour de 3 nuits et les produits de bain (mouchoir ou coton) n’ont pas été remis quand nous avions utilisés ceux qui étaient là. Notre chambre donnait sur la rue donc du bruit la nuit mais on s’y attendait.

Sans charme, genre hôtel deux étoiles. Le personnel était très accueillant mais nous nous sommes inquiété de la suite. Ce qui s’est avéré de très bonne tenue. Meubles et équipements et piscine mériterait un rafraîchissement.

• Eleonora (8/5): - Hotel situato nel pieno centro storico di Cartagena e pertanto in posizione ottima per poter girare comodamente a piedi sia di giorno che di notte. L'hotel è sicuramente suggestivo, trattandosi di un edificio coloniale perfettamente tenuto, ristrutturato e che allo stesso tempo ha conservato i suoi tratti originari. La colazione à alla carta e si può scegliere tra tre diverse opzioni, non c'è molta varietà, ma alla fine il cibo non è poco e spazia dal dolce al salato, oltre alla frutta. Ho trovato l'albergo molto pulito e lo staff disponibile. Decisamente caro rispetto a quello che offre. Sicuramente il prezzo elevato è dovuto alla posizione (pieno centro) e al fatto di essere un hotel boutique, però l'ho trovato veramente esagerato per il tipo di albergo, che benché bello, non valeva la cifra pagata. Infatti una delle due stanze che abbiamo prenotato, quella standard, era veramente piccola e non si poteva praticamente aprire la finestra per via del rumore dei motori dell'aria condizionata delle altre stanze, dando nel chiostro interno. Migliorerei l'offerta della colazione.

• Mariah (10/5): Had a great stay, would highly recommend. - Had a great stay. The room was lovely - cute, clean, safe, quiet, and had good aircon. Shared facilities are great - shared lounge area, small balconies overlooking the streets and lovely rooftop pool. The staff are really lovely and attentive and even let us use the pool after checkout. Not much to complain about - main complaint would just be that there wasn't much natural light in the room.

También la ubicación es excepcional, si lo que buscas en la historia de la ciudad esta cerca de todo. todo me gusto, pero creo que es importante mencionar que al ser un edificio antiguo tiene muchas escaleras, por lo que puede ser complejo para personas mayores que tienen dificultades de movilidad, en nuestro caso no fue un problema.

• Jane (9/5): A beautiful luxurious property in fantastic location - Stunning property with a small rooftop pool right in the heart of the old town so close to everything. The communal lounge and dining room are open to use and lovely. There’s a fridge and kettle in the room. Bed super comfy and nice linen with huge towels and a great shower. The staff were sweet and polite and gave us good advice on going to the Rosario Islands. There are free bikes to use. Our room (401) was in the basement so whilst super quiet it lacked any sort of view and didn’t have much natural light.

Service was excellent, particularly from the reception staff who were super helpful and friendly. The turndown service was an unexpected bonus. Sadly, our room (103) felt like the worst of the “superior with views” category – it was small and the view was extremely limited. It was also right under the breakfast area and kitchen, so every morning we were woken up at 6am by staff preparing breakfast. The bathroom would flood every time we showered, as the drain couldn’t cope with the water flowing through.

The building itself was beautiful externally, internally and communal ereas were decorated with style. The staff were lovely, friendly when providing assistance. • matteo (9/5): Confortevole - La posizione è estremamente strategica , hotel casa coliseo e praticamente in centro quindi si è molto facilitati negli spostamenti all’interno delle mura Nulla in particolare. Mi sarebbe piaciuto la finestra della stanza fosse più facile da aprire e che magari avesse una vista su strada,ma ho sbagliato io a non fare attenzione durante la mia prenotazione

• J9891TObarbarak (10/5): Stunningly Beautiful Hotel - What a Stunningly, Beautiful Hotel!!! The architecture is really cool, and there are only 12 rooms. Nice pool on the roof with beautiful flowers and plants everywhere. I chose the one and only Suite and it was amazing! The staff are wonderful as well! Our hosts, Martin, Brayan and Christian were so attentive to our needs and made us feel right at home! Make sure you get up and have breakfast! So good! If coming here for New Years, this hotel has the perfect view of the fireworks and there was a band that we watched from the hotel’s balcony! Fabulous! FYI- it is loud on the streets, but the doors are pretty soundproofed. Couldn’t have made a better choice to stay at!

Although well isolated sometimes the noises of the street reach you in the night. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Although one gets a lot, also a bit pricy (like all Cartagena).
• EMPP (4/5): Book through a third party to get the agreed-upon rate. - Unfortunately the impression of the hotel started off on the wrong foot when we were charged approximately $63 more than the agreed-upon rate. The rate was quoted in USD. The charge was pesos which we had no issue with. The problem was their conversion which was not based on any current world exchange rate — or even close. They argued that the world XE Exchange Rate app, which gives real-time conversion rates, was irrelevant. Using either the exchange rates from the date we booked or the rate from the day we checked in, their rate wasn’t even close. We could have avoided this by using a third party site (e.g. Booking.com or TripAdvisor) and paying them, versus the hotel. Usually I like to book directly with the hotel and help maximize their profit, but this worked to our disadvantage. Lesson learned. The other issues with the hotel were two-fold. Rooms are a bit hit and miss with respect to quality. The first room we were assigned was extremely small with no chair - only place one could sit was on the bed. They offered us a different room which we initially thought was good. However, once settled in for the night, we were having trouble breathing. The mold smell was so intense we couldn’t sleep. We accepted a room on the second floor, wary of the possible street noise, but it was much better. The other main issue was that there was no common air conditioned room. We were staying at the hotel with another couple so congregating together outside our rooms was not possible. Cartagena is hot and very humid.

I had to leave at 7am but wasn't feeling well, and even though breakfast didn't start until 7 a wonderful staff member was able to give me coffee, fruit and bread before I left.which made me feel way better. I will stay there again. No Kleenex in the bathroom

• Marie (10/5): Great Hotel, Amazing Staff - the location was great! right in the heart of old-town, near the clock tower. the staff were amazing! Martin was exceptional. love that our room is always made up even if it’s unnecessary to do, and they always leave treats on the table everyday. the welcome drinks were delicious, and the breakfast was great too. the spa is in the building, so that was convenient, and the pool was easily accessible. even though they didn’t have an elevator, the staff helped carry them to your room. everyone’s friendly, and beds and bathroom were clean. we didn’t see a gym available in the property, and you can easily miss the hotel if you’re walking. also, no elevator.

• Iuliia (8/5): Beautiful, safe accommodation where staff will do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and at home. - Excellent proactive communication made me feel as if my arrival was warmly awaited. Staff also kept me posted on any updates/scheduled maintenance, so there were no surprises during my stay. The facility is gorgeous and conveys a unique city’s vibe. The staff was very attentive to any needs and exceeded all possible expectations. The location was super safe, which was essential to me since I was visiting Colombia for the first time. Everything was great, just one night it was a bit noisy with some intense partying happening outside.
