Guest Reviews
- Adele (10/5): We are looking forward to going back :) - Beautiful location and very peaceful.
Having afire was the best. The top stair was a bit creaky and I woke my son too early in the morning when I got up. I was hoping he would get a sleep in.
- Wu (10/5): Amazing property! - Comfy cabin with a great view of trees and the inlet behind them. Very peaceful and beautiful. Stocked with plenty of dvds and playstation games. There's netflix on the TV too, which was neat!
- Shelley R (8/5): - We loved the fireplace, especially as the weather turned very chilly, wet and windy when we stayed. Having a fire each night made us feel very cosy. Having to go down stairs to the toilet st night!
- Thanh Nhan (10/5): Worth every second and every dollar. - I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this experience has been. The cabin was spotless. Everything I needed was there. I had the best sleep of my life. Then I woke up very early on that rainy day and just enjoyed the house; it was quite the feeling, one I’ve never experienced before. There were lots of puzzles/books to keep me entertained. I lit a woodfire for the first time in my life. Living among the woods was so calming and destressing. I’d like to say a huge thank you to the host Nathan - he made the whole experience such a delight.
- Gerrit (10/5): - Beautiful location amid trees and lots of birds. Great woodburner. all good
- Divecha (8/5): Lovely and comfortable ❤️ - Beautiful- amongst the trees and birds. Very close to the town centre and amenities- yet serene and peaceful. All was great !
- David (10/5): A beautiful place to stay. We would have loved to stay longer. -
- William (9/5): For 2 nights ideal - Clean, everything you need for a comfortable stay, spacious and xtras of games, books etc Too far to walk into town
- Lynette (10/5): Excellent property, beautiful location, would stay there again. -

- Monmyatthu (10/5): Thank you so much for such a beautiful cabin . We enjoyed staying there in our holiday. We will definitely staying there - Such a beautiful green leaves Cabin . Very clean and hommie . I couldn’t ask for more to accomodate in such a beautiful place . Nothing to complain about
- Janine (8/5): Most enjoyable, really loved our stay, whoever cleans is a dream - Location fantastic, absolutely beautiful, close to town Bed too hard for me, but that's just personal, fire place very smoked probably needs chimney cleaned
- Christina (10/5): - This was the perfect location for a slow family holiday. The kids loved the cabin and it was central.

- Petra (9/5): - Cute cabin, good layout, loved the fireplace The tarp on the roof made some noise in the wind
- msmitzy (10/5): -
- Carina (8/5): -
- Anita (7/5): comfortable and clean accommodation, room layout makes this less desirable for older customers, - very clean, beds comfortable, good kitchen and laundry facilities, friendly native birds accommodation is getting dated, shower and toilet downstairs from bedrooms, one of the windows leaked when it rained, large rock on the edge of the drive way near a shrub and can't be seen (especially in the dark) when you drive down to the house creating a crash hazard.
- Geoff (9/5): -
- mairead (10/5): Great stay - Loved waking up to the bird sound in the morning! Kids loved feeding the birds once they got used to the friendly magpies
- Lesley (8/5): A quiet comfortable house. - Quiet location and we were visited by native birds.
Electric blankets! Bathroom downstairs, bedrooms upstairs.
Combustion heater only real heating option, so if you aren’t familiar with lighting fires you freeze. Lighting quite poor in the living area.
- Wayne (8/5): Very comfortable and relaxing. Fireplace was great for our stay. - It was clean and comfortable. It felt like we were living among the treetops. Plenty of birds to greet you on the back patio every day.

- Helen (9/5): Highly recommend this property. - Breakfast not provided, Picturesque setting, quiet location. No issues
- Jim (9/5): Relaxing, comfortable, quiet and peaceful - Quirky comfort Not a lot really
- Jet Kye (10/5): -
- Louise (8/5): Comfortable home base for exploring the southern forests - Wonderful surroundings, plenty of bird visitors. Interior is on the dark side, even with all the lights on. Main bed and pillows a little hard for my liking.
- Robert (10/5): -
- Debra (10/5): Home away from Home - This accommodation gives you so much bang for your buck. The beds and couches were comfy, beautiful wooden dining table and kitchen bench, wood heater with lots of wood, my son was in heaven with all the movies and games to play. There were so many extras that it truly felt like a home from home. It was apparent that things like bedding, shower curtains, placemats etc. were regularly replaced as they all looked fairly new. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Loved the light fixtures and the layout of the house, with the kitchen and large cosy living space downstairs and bedrooms upstairs connected by a solid, unobtrusive staircase. The flock of local birds that visit for food every time you step out on the balcony were a delight. The laundry door. Always in the way so you can't use the vanity sink without shutting it. Would be better to remove the wall shelving and put in a sliding door.
- Andrea (8/5): Excellent home in the trees - Lovely location amongst the trees in Denmark, though in summer there would be considerable bush fire risk.
The shower was excellent, full stream of hot water!
The property was well equipped with plenty of space. It was a cold wintry weekend and the wood burning stove was excellent, but if you weren’t at home for long enough for that to warm the place up the alternative small heater struggled and it could be cold.
Visitors should be aware that the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom downstairs!
- Tash (10/5): Relaxing getaway in the trees - Quiet and idyllic location in the trees. Warm and cozy accommodation. Gorgeous birds join you on the balcony at breakfast time. Comfy beds.
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Binesh (10/5): Cozy, warm and homely!!! -
- Dharm (9/5): Superb -
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- Simone (10/5): A beautiful place to stay - We loved the peacefulness of this place, the outlook, feeding the birds, playing board games in front of the fireplace. The kids also loved the loft bed! The driveway was tricky when we arrived in the dark
- Suresh (7/5): Good -
- Tongqiao (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (8/5): A lovely, homey, cabin experience - Quiet location, beautiful view, friendly birds and the wildfire made for a very wonderful stay. The shower was wonderful and couches very comfortable. The bed was a little firm for our liking and would have appreciated a couple extra towels to dry hair etc
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional - Great value, great location, cute little house👍🏼
- Ashutosh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Malcolm (8/5): Generally good. - Wood heater, washing machine, dryer, comfortable mattress, quite neighbourhood, pleasent decor, warm doona, spacious inside, full kitchen, ample powerpoints. NO Tv reception due to surrounding large trees. In summer 2 escape points if there was a serious fire due to very large trees. One of the kitchen lights was not working. Kitchen could do with brighter lighting. Exhaust fan was small & the shutter was stuck due to being too greasy. Bathroom flick mixer tap/faucet was leaking at the base causing water to be all over the top & leaking over into the draw, fortunately the laundry sink saved the day. Parking was poor as there is a risk of falling branches that COULD damage your car. No internet.
- Barnden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samir (9/5): Superb -
- Janelle (8/5): It was a lovely stay, everything clean and fresh 🥰 - Birdlife was beautiful, and being surrounded by nature (very different to Perth). Fireplace was such a treat. Can't think of anything! Perhaps a little more milk in the fridge, one tiny long life box was good, the small sachet of milk we brought the next day happened to be off already, nothing to do with the cabin tho 🤗
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Superb - Great location. Nice quiet area and comfortable beds and lounge with good cooking facilities.
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy, clean, close to town, and main attractions.
Showers were the best.
Recommend it for a great getaway. None
- Maddie (8/5): We had a great time staying here - would recommend to anyone coming to visit Denmark - The cabin was lovely! Really quick close drive into town and a nice little walk down to the Inlet. The cabin was super cozy and roomy, had everything we needed, was clean and very easy to find/ check in Could do with a few smaller / softer pillows on the bed. otherwise we loved it!
- Marilyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (8/5): Lovely quirky little getaway, would definitely recommend and would hope to go back! - Location was fantastic, in the middle of a forest with views of the water. Parrots and other birds came to sit at our table. Very comfortable, well equipped accommodation, with comfortable beds and a homely feel. We had amazing weather, but almost wished it had been cold so we could have used the log burner!! Great selection of board games and DVDs too. My partner likes to watch television and assumed we would have a working one as it is on the list of facilities - we have also stayed in the area before without any issue, so he was a bit disappointed to find none of the channels worked / there was no reception. I didn't mind a bit, it was great being away from the WIFI and the television for a couple of days!
- Rob (8/5): Very enjoyable , clean and comfortable - Close enough to town and reasonably priced A bit dark
- Tamara (7/5): Little gem hidden in forests - Beautiful surroundings and location. Great, rustic looking cabin with all needed amenities. Big enough for three to four people with birds like lorikeets coming everyday to say hello and and ask for food. They are not scared of people at all. The only down side was our main queen size bed. Too firm and broken in several areas, sagging on the right side. It seems worse every year. I wasn't able to move well after sleeping on it for several nights. If the mattress isn't changed within next year we sadly won't be able to come back next February as we usually do every year. Otherwise everything just perfect.
- David (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great experience for out family. Breafast with parrot - unforgettable !!! Pity that we can't stay longer It was great
- Margarita (10/5): Perfect relaxation among the nature - It was super cozy and clean, very easy to find the place. Just about 10 mins drive to the city centre and shops.
Children loved the stairs.
There was no WiFi and connection was poor as well which is huge plus for me, but not for my teenager. It was such a big pleasure to watch the dvds in the evening.
Feeding the birds is an incredible experience! Everything was perfect.
- Lucas (10/5): Fantastic - Location, clean No A/C
- Anita (8/5): Very good -
- Mcglenchy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannon (8/5): Very good -
- Mariajose (10/5): Lovely place surrounded by nature - The cabin was very cozy and it was such a lovely feeling to gather around the lit fireplace. Birds would come to the balcony at all times, really special. Everything was great.
- De (9/5): Beautiful scenary and Nannup is a cute and interesting town to visit. - The view and the peaceful quiet. No dishwasher.
- Janie (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (8/5): Lovely cabin in the woods - Nathan was an excellent host with clear and prompt communication. There was a blip when the hot water couldn't work due to gas having run out. However Nathan responded straight away. He offered a reduction and had the issue sorted out next day though he was travelling at the time. Great response and proactive customer service. As above , issue re hot water but it got sorted very successfully.
- Angela (10/5): This is an awesome place to stay! - Easy to contact hosts. Amazing house. Good facilities.
- Justin (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (10/5): Warm welcoming and a lovely getaway - Easy to get to and lovely area. Nice getaway
- Kenmeth (8/5): Step back into the 70s - a good one - an A-frame house in the forest. - Setting in woods. View of the inlet. Secluded. Some features were worn and/or in disrepair.
- Kris (10/5): A beautiful cabin in lovely forest surroundings and cosy and comfortable and well set out. - Amazing views of the water, friendly bird life that came on the balcony. It had a washing machine and dryer, a beautiful wood fire that we enjoyed and lots of dvds to select from. The bed was firm but comfortable and the cabin was quaint and welcoming. It was all great.
- Andrew (8/5): great place, but needs a little TLC - location, ambience, space, great shower getting a little worn around the edges in places - eg.
balcony fly screen door, door to bathroom, lounge chairs
- Barbara (8/5): Very comfortable, and it didn’t hurt us to be without social media for a couple of days. - The location was lovely and the beds very comfortable. The tv didn’t work properly, no wifi, and no soap or shampoo provided.
- Anncathrin (9/5): Enjoyed my stay - Stunning place in the middle of the woods with colourful birds. Cozy, peaceful, well equipped and beautiful. There is NO wifi. It is indicated in the description of the property - so they are being transparent about it - but I didn’t think there are still properties in well connected cities like Denmark without internet, so didn’t realise this until I arrived. Also, reception in the cabin is quite bad, so even with phone data you won’t get far. If you need internet, you might have to go in a cafe in the city centre.
- Pilkington (8/5): Very central to Walpole and Albany and only 5mins from Denmark town centre. - Great location. close to all the good stuff.
- Jones (10/5): Excellent location and very relaxing - Fantastic atmosphere, the amenities were great especially the fire!
- Perrine (9/5): Cozy cabin in a great location - The cabin is in a quiet street surrounded by forest with views of the Wilson Inlet. The cabin is really cozy and a highlight was lighting the fire place each night. We loved the balcony overlooking the inlet and the inquisitive birds that visited.
- Stanislav (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bruce (8/5): Enjoyed house and area - Grandchildren loved the birds and playing on the stairs. A number of lightbulbs blown
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Manson (9/5): Wonderful stay and location was perfect. - Location and surrounded by beautiful bird song
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was so welcoming, warm and comfortable
- Natasha (10/5): Lovely country escape. - The cabin was perfect, loved how thoughtfully set out the cabin was. Loved the fire place and that owners had wood supplies. Definitely be back. Nothing! Was perfect.
- Jenjaaar (10/5): A little slice of heaven - This place is a little gem. Exceeded our expectations. Such an amazing locations, hidden away in the woods, gorgeous bird noise every morning and even better - it rained, so we loved getting cosy by the log burner and listening to the rain on the trains. Really well equipped and had everything we needed and more. A little haven in the woods, I'd love to come back!
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- De (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Paula (9/5): Great. Thank so much. - Clean and pretty Parking was tight for a big car but we managed ok
- Parsa (9/5): Superb -
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jessica (8/5): Green leaves first stay - Very nice cabin, lovely area
- Sim (9/5): Was a cute little cabin and would def stay again. a home away from home - The cabin was cute and intimate. I stayed with my 3 children, and they all enjoyed it as did I. My daughters loved the loft, my adult daughter had taken claim to sleeping up in the loft, but it wasn't made up, so my 11year old daughter took to it to be her gaming area, she took ownership that she wouldn't even let her older brother up there with her. Beds were comfy and kitchen was well stocked with all utensils needed to cook when away from one's own home, as was the entire cabin really. And oh, the shower, we absolutely loved the shower, the water pressure and the rain shower head, didn't want to get out of it. Was a pleasant find to find all the board games available to use as well as all the DVDs you could choose from on those wet cold days. Not a big deal, but when I read electric blankets on the ad, I took it to be all beds had them and not just the main bed. Maybe an option to have one on all beds if requested may be nice (dependent on weather and age of people using the beds)
- Emily (8/5): Very good - nice views, lots of space, very comfortable with the fire no wifi
