Guest Reviews
- Alco (7/5): Good hotel. Good location. Good value for money. - Breakfast was good. The reception was at times not present. This could be improved.
- Pascaline (5/5): Passable - We went for breakfast at 9.30, there was no longer coffee. We went to look for the landlord who was not friendly. We got some. It tasted like Nescafé. There were no longer croissants.
- Charles (8/5): A good choice for a visit to Bouillon. - The hotel has a beautiful overlook of Bouillon but the center can be reached quickly by a staircase built into the hill (though the staircase is deteriorating (not the fault of the hotel, the city should repair it) and would not be suitable to an elderly person or someone with a physical disability. The room was comfortable and has an old-fashioned style (fine with me but maybe not to everyone's taste). There is a love seat in the room, which is a nice addition. However, the back rooms do not have a nice view like in the front. The breakfast was fine though unexceptional. The shower does not have a curtain. The toilet tank leaked a bit, though not much. The hotel is not really accessible on foot with luggage - not an issue for me but something perhaps to consider for some people.
- Christophe (4/5): - Une simple nuit passée. Chambre simple.
- Michael (10/5): - I liked the cleanlinss, service and location. Also, nearby parking was actually easy to find on the street.
- Abdelmajid (10/5): - Vue splendide, personnel très accueillant, très propre.
- rafael (2/5): Avoid this accommodation - We had a bad experience here. Staff is impersonal, not friendly - and this is a family run business.
Issues: first, if you travel with elderly people or disabled, avoid! No accessibility.
Breakfast would be good, but the coffee is made early and let resting over a warm surface - when guests are served, it's cold. The facility has a espresso machine, we saw the owner having his coffee there, but we were not offered a hot drink!
The rooms are nice, but there are service issues. We found the bed linen kind of dirty, with other people's hair everywhere! Bad impression, disgusting.
There was no housekeeping service one day, with no further explanation or apologies. Cleaning service didn't wash glasses, or take trash away, for example. Bed linen and towels should be better.
And one last comment or advice: avoid the meals - they are too expensive for the local standards, and nothing special to justify.
I was sorry we didn't do proper research. It would be better to stay in Sedan. Bouillon is for just one or two days.
- patrick (10/5): - jolie chambre.
- Diana (10/5): Diana Dennis - It was a very nice stay. The hotel is very quiet and the staff very helpful and away from the noise of the village below.

- Raf (10/5): prima hotel - prima - lekker ontbijt - heel behulpzame eigenaars
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place, great base for exploring - What a charming hotel. We loved everything about it. The location was on a hill overlooking the town and a very short walk to everything. Parking was easy right in front of the hote and there was an elevator from the street up to the lobby for our bags. The room itself was very comfortable and very quaint, with a modern, upgraded bathroom. The breakfast was a good spread with boiled eggs, all sorts of bread, cheese and hams, and even pancakes. We sat down in the lobby in the evenings stretched out on the comfy couch drinking beer and reading our books. The owners were very nice and ready to help with local knowledge. This hotel was one of the best values I have found anywhere!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Less than average hotel/room - nice breakfast - We stayed at this hotel at the end of a 3 week tour along a number of small mid-upscale hotels in France and Switzerland. We had booked it has a "superior" room in a "boutique" hotel, as this is how it is marketed.
At first sight upon arrival, it looked like the nice and cosy hotel you see on the pictures. The welcoming by an older man was super friendly. The room itself was large, it had a kitchen, and was furnished with an incoherent set of furniture. It looked a bit old/worn out. The bathroom was big, yet smelly by lack of ventilation.
Even though we have a cat ourselves, I did not like the omnipresent cats of the hotel. They were on the reception desk, hanging around in the bar area, and God knows where else :-),and caused a bad smell, despite the number of lavender bags everywhere to avoid this. I can imagine that you don't notice the smell when living there, but coming from outside, it was a bit bizarre. Also the sofa in our room seemed to have been ruined by them (see pictures)
Anyway, because of the cats, we decided not to have dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Breakfast was great, really. Enough choice, without it being excessive. Excellent.
I wonder whether we would have felt better in another room and without the cats, but now, and after almost 3 weeks in nicer rooms/hotels at a similar/lower price, we found the room overpriced, and would rather opt for the neighbouring one next time.
- Anna (6/5): View of castle. - Rainy weather so we were nearly alone the hotel and in the town. Very quiet. Owner was friendly and helpful, but reserved and let us enjoy the quiet.
Super keuken
- Harsharan (8/5): An apt name for a hotel that lives up to its name - This hotel is perched up on a hill with magnificent views of Castle Bouillon. I managed to catch a very beautiful sunset from our room. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. Only thing missing was a bath. That would have kind of completed things in my opinion. But nevertheless it was an extremely comfortable room. The breakfast was alright. We had a meal on one of the nights. I must say it was really delicious but a shame my husband was down with a cold to enjoy it thoroughly so skipped dessert. The service was extremely warm and the owners always greet you with a smile and a warm hello. I would definitely stay at this place again.
- Yves (10/5): A great place to stay - Wonderful small hotel. The interior has been done with carefully selected furniture and art objects that reflect style and cosiness. It suits the hotel name. The room was very comfortable; the view astonishing. It took a while though before I figured out the high tech light switch panel :-) The en-suite bathroom was large and very clean. The gastronomic dinner was very tasty and served in a correct manner. Wouter, the chef, and Nadia, his partner, are doing a great job here. I will surely come back and I will recommend this place to friends and family. Top location!
- Laura (10/5): Hotel Cosy was very cosy!! - I stayed one night recenly at Hotel Cosy with some friends. the rooms were beautifully decorated and had nice modern bathrooms. the breakfast room was fabulous - decorated in a medieval style. the location of the hotel was amazing - with a beautiful view of the castle. the owner recommended a wonderful restaurant in the town for dinner - which was amazing. all in all we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cosy - I would go back in a minute.
- Verified traveler (10/5): An attractive hotel with great views. - Well located with superb views of the castle if you book rooms 101 or 102.The elevated position is a bit of a hike up from the town when walking but not really a problem if you take the road. The hotel restaurant is not open every night (September) and the set menu is 40 Euro but the owner/chef does give you a meal to remember so certainly worth trying once.
The breakfast is superb with its variety and fresh ingredients, you will not find better.
Free parking along the road outside.
- J. Burton (10/5): Fantastic breakfast included - Great room with a view & a bathtub on the top floor of the hotel. A welcoming and helpful proprietor with a good sense of humour; A really excellent breakfast included in the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): tres bon accueil - tres bel hotel et confortable propre.
