Location is very convenient, walkable to everywhere with good breakfast options nearby. All the hotel staff were super friendly and efficient, including the doormen, receptionists and housekeepers! HOWEVER I do think the Urban Cafe manager could be a little MORE friendly. She did not smile much and every time I tried to visit the cafe, she would yell at me to stop me JUST to verify my room number although I have been staying there for 7-8 days. I go to the cafe almost everyday, and it's as if she's stopping a criminal from entering the cafe. She could really learn how to customer service for guests that go there everyday, she could say Hi and learn my name for starters. Madison Hotel, Please train your cafe manager to be more friendly and polite for your future guests! She makes it quite unpleasant for your hotel guests!

However, I was turned off by the bar staff. A male staff complained I signed at where the room # should be on the receipt so he had to reprint and asked me to resign.. hate to say this, I have been to many high and low end hotels around the world.. this is my first to experience such treatment. Perhaps you can ask for room # when customer enters, this way you can check before hand.

While the hotel is conveniently close to the metro station, it’s still a bit of a walk on a hot day. The staff were very friendly and even provided an adaptor, which was a great bonus. Highly recommend!

- Junyi (10/5): - We travelled to Taiwan Taipei in March 2025 and stayed about 10 days in Madison Hotel. As soon as our taxi approaching the main entrance, the door man was out helping us with the luggage. The front desk was very friendly. The room was super clean and spacious. The most important thing is that it was quiet in the room even though the hotel is on a busy street. The price is reasonable compares to the other same stars hotels. I can see why this hotel is a Michelin Guide recommended. I will stay there again next time when I go back to Taipei.

The hotel is well situated and within easy reach of the metro, walking distance to various attractions/ night market etc. We had an issue with the room on arrival which was promptly dealt with and corrected. The best, even though it's not the most famous, night market in Taipei is a short 7 minute walk away as well. And the staff was wonderful. When one of our party's flight was cancelled leading to a one-day arrival delay, management waived the room charge even though it was technically non-refundable. We appreciated that courtesy as well as the many other small gestures by the staff that made our family reunion holiday so much nicer.
