There also no glasses or cups in the rooms so it was not possible to get a drink of water.

Information to ring the bell at door, no answer. Letter box at door but looked just like a shelf, not an actual drop box. Did not leave room cards as too accessible for anyone. Beds not overly comfortable. Cheaper price so ok for a one night stay.

• Garreth (10/5): It was great no complaints. - Clean rooms, we had a suite and it’s a great size room, bed was comfy it had kitchen utensils and nice size fridge. It’s right beside the Penticton event centers and across the road is a bowling/ mini golf arcade. The front desk fellow we talked to was awesome and was very understanding when we asked to checkout half hour late. Nothing to note was bad at all.

On our last night here, we wanted to enjoy sitting outside by the pool. But there were hoards of kids screaming in the pool and running around screaming outside of the pool, as well as running around & screaming all over the second floor and this was at 10pm. It would've been nice if staff enforced the rules of the pool closing at 9:30pm, so that people could have had peace and quiet while sitting in that area; not to mention the people that are vacating the suites by the pool.

• NatashaBrowne (2/5): Avoid!! - Seems like a good deal, with nice looking photos online of the courtyard and pool area. Not expecting luxury but only ended up staying 1 of 3 nights due to it being so unpleasant. Really musty smelling room, condensation dripping down the bedroom walls, stains on the furniture, you can tell its not kept up or cleaned well. Final straw was stains on a "fresh" rolled up towel that actually smelled like feces. Friend went to report this in the morning and the man at the front desk said they "didn't know what to do". Found another hotel while out enjoying the rest of our day, went back to talk to the front desk later and the gentleman (different from the morning) was totally dismissive, defensive, actually smirking and clearly didn't believe us or care. Wouldn't offer a refund at all because we "should've come earlier in the morning to tell them" (we did). Stay away, stay anywhere else in Penticton, its a dump.

Got a free upgrade to two queen beds, which was nice to have the extra space. Efficient, clean which is my biggest must, and while recently renovated, some details have yet to be seen to. Appears to me that the worst reviews must be from previous ownership as my stay was great, relative to the cost per night. 108 bucks a night made my trip stress free on the wallet.

• Roam04159941225 (10/5): Very impressed...we booked it again! - A group of 6 couples stayed at the Sahara Courtyard in Penticton this past long weekend. The rooms were spacious, very clean and updated. Our room had a full size fridge which was perfect for storing beverages :) The courtyard has a large L-Shaped pool with large patio tables and chairs. This was a perfect gathering spot for our group. Raj was most gracious in helping with our reservations and any incidentals we needed. We were so impressed that we have booked for next year ! Thank you for great memories. I would recommend this place especially if you want to get away a bit from the noise of Lakeshore Drive. PS: Timmy's is right across the road! • Raymond (5/5): We were not impressed at all! - only thing we liked was the beach Not enough chairs..had to bring our own Close enough to walk to town Very very dated…floor was dirty..had to have it scrubbed! At $210 + taxes a night…we found that was way too expensive. Had no plugs to plug in phone….would not recommend this place
• Charlene (8/5): - I loved the massive family rooms. Location is good to most things. We walked to the beach and market. It’s a long walk with kids. But we did it. Love the sitting area by the pool. Rooms are extremely dated but not an issue for us. Not as clean as i would have liked it but im a clean freak. Beds were good and kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook. Would stay agin because of the large rooms.
