• Jeffrey (10/5): - The staff, setting, and services of this hotel were outstanding. The views all around the grounds and the infinity pool were amazing and so relaxing. The restaurant was beautiful as we soaked up the chill jungle vibes at the tasty breakfast buffet and extensive all day menu for dinner. They have a good shuttle to Ubud but we also enjoyed staying in our area above the hustle of town. The staff were so nice and helpful for anything we needed and the spa with flower bath was such a unique and romantic experience for me and my wife. I never write reviews, but we had such an amazing time at this magical resort!

• greg (4/5): - I had high hopes for The Lokha Ubud, but my stay was underwhelming—especially given the premium pricing. Things started off oddly when I ordered a pizza from room service. It arrived in under 10 minutes (impressive!), but was completely cold. Not exactly the welcome meal I was hoping for. The next afternoon, I was hit with a blast of loud, thumping music. I asked the staff about it and got a bit of a mystery tour: first they claimed it was coming from their own restaurant (?), then later—after some back and forth—they finally admitted it was actually from a live DJ pool party at the neighboring Amora resort. A little heads-up might’ve been nice. They said they’d ask them to turn it down… unsurprisingly, that never happened. To their credit, they offered to move me to a different room—further from the noise and closer to the river, where the sound of rushing water mercifully helped mask the bass. But then came another letdown: the bed sheets had a distinct mildew smell, and there was visible mold in the bathroom. For a property charging this kind of rate, that’s just plain sloppy. On the bright side, the staff were genuinely friendly and tried their best to accommodate—but no amount of smiles can make up for poor soundproofing, mystery mold, and a club-level soundtrack in what’s supposed to be a tranquil jungle retreat. For the same price, you’d be far better off at the Hyatt in Sanur.

The hotel is in a quiet, convenient location with a complimentary shuttle into town, and there are cafes, shops, and a spa within walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, with Wulan standing out for making our stay extra special. The breakfast buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of delicious options that changed regularly, and we also enjoyed the afternoon tea and the BBQ dinner with traditional Balinese dances. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they could use a deeper clean, and the poolside lounge chair cushions and towels could be refreshed as they appeared stained. Overall, we had a great stay!

Rooms were very clean and the staff were super friendly. The resort has a lot of amenities like a spa, restaurant, and small gym. The resort offers shuttles to Ubud city center and taxis to surrounding locations. Staff went above and beyond to take care of us. One of the best resorts in Ubud.

Housekeeping did a great job cleaning the villa. Few negatives, mosquitoes were a problem, feel like burinh stucks or spray could be used when turn down service happens. (Had this in other hotels/villas similar) got bitten alot. Breakfast is too big and not great. We eat out everyday. There is so much potential for this place just needs to tweek a few little things. Other than that we enjoyed our stay, i would recommend the hotel. And would stay again if these things were implemented

• ROMIRA (2/5): - We shared feedback about this property, and the staff basically shared that they had received no complaints, meanwhile we shared pictures of dirty towels, dirty sheets, molded bath robes, etc. we selected this hotel because of how close it was to everything, but it turned out to be a nightmare. The resort is fairly old and it is not being taken care of properly. Rooms that aren’t being used, they are not throughougly cleaning them, maybe because they don’t think that anyone will check the sheets and bed. One of our couples LEFT, found a new property and met with us every day. We tried to get a refund to find a new property and were told “no complaints had been filed, even after sharing pictures”. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SEPTEMBER 2023

Food wasn’t the greatest for the breakfast buffet but apart from that everything else was perfect. Recommend the beauty for two package for the massage as was so romantic with the bath overlooking the Forrest. Definitely coming back with my girl!

The Lokha is right at the top of the famous trail walk down to Ubud and there are several delicious juice/smoothie stands just steps from the resort. Do yourself a favor and book your stay in Bali at The Lokha Ubud!
• Mary (4/5): Declining rapidly - I’ve stayed here many times over the last ten years and I’m surprised by the decline of the hotel. Ceiling leaking during a rain storm. In order to get warm water I was advised to let the tap run for 15 minutes which is so wasteful. Rooms are run down and over all the hotel is not clean. The staff is still friendly and nice but they don’t have much to work with sadly. This will be my last stay at the Lokha Ubud.
• Dillon (6/5): Overpriced - For the price, it wasn’t much better than basic priced hotels. Room was nice, gym was terrible, spa was overpriced, and the food was average. Also an awkward location that means you have to spend lots of money on taxis if you want to travel into ubud.
• TIFFANIE (6/5): - The staff did a good job at remembering my name during my stay and my birthday. The hotel food is limited and okay at best for the price. The food at the luxury hotel in the village is much better and top notch. I did not smell cleaning supplies at anytime during my stay; instead smelled urine in the bathroom around the base of the toilet that has never been cleaned and sanitized. The smell in the property bathrooms is very bad. Do not book the hotel tours; the service is lack luster. I had one driver be sexually inappropriate during my tour of Ubud and expected me to pay for his meals after paying 900,000 rupiah for the tour. I was charged 1,000,000 rupiah for the Uluwatu tour even though the listed cost is 900,000 rupiah. The driver seemed as if he was uninterested in taking me to the places I was most interested in. Do yourself a favor a find a local driver who will be kind and take you on a tour. Overall, I was disappointed in my stay. The hotel looks nice in pictures but is unsanitary to my standards.

It was very relaxing and probably the best option if you are staying in Ubud. The hotel is a short 10-15 min walk from the central area of the town or a 10 min cab ride / if at night I recommend to take a car as the streets are not very well lit/. The breakfast was great.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is situated in a valley, at the end of the Campuan Ridge Walk, surrounded by rice fields and palm trees. We loved sitting in the open air lounge area having drinks, listening to the sounds of nature and watching the odd gecko scale the wall. The hotel also do a weekly fogging to keep mosquitos at bay in the open air areas of the hotel. And we never found the bugs to be an issue during our stay. You can walk into Ubud town via the ridge walk (25 minutes) which is a beautiful walk and there are a couple of small warungs to get food from on the same road. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times and loved the food and mocktails - the Satay Campur and Mie Goreng was a firm favourite - not forgetting the chocolate lava cake! The hotel also offer a free afternoon tea in the lobby (3pm-5pm) which was a lovely touch. We stayed in a fully air conditioned Suite with beautiful valley views from our balcony and a queen sized bed. The pillows were so comfy! I loved the rainfall shower and the sunken bath. Every single staff member we came into contact with at the Lokha were all exceptional - especially the restaurant and bar staff. They were all so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience. Staff always greet you with a smile and a hello, even when just passing by.

We also ate the special Balinese bbq which was extremely disappointing. However, the a la carte menu was good.Our villa was absolutely gorgeous

The food was average, breakfast good, and the room could of had a few things fixed, however overall it was great! Beautiful 25 minute walk into town, and a perfect spot to view the sunset near the rice paddies.

Only negative was the bedding wasn't quite adequate for our four children to share, but it was only two nights so we managed.

Free shuttle service into town everyday was a great perk. The walls back to the hotel was amazing as well. The pool was so cute with an amazing jungle view.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved this hotel! Whilst it's a little out of central Ubud - it's a beautifully serene and a great place to relax. The spa and pool area is amazing! Our room was great. I particularly loved the rain forest shower that looked right out into the jungle - very unique.

The towels had gone grey instead of white. The price of beer was excessive $10 a large bottle. Spa facilities expensive even to use the sauna. Nothing open at night nearby and I’m fairly sure there’s no money changer.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Cannot recommend this hotel enough! The staff are polite and welcoming, the pool and spa are great. Food was lovely and fresh and good options to cater for all. We really didn’t want to leave, it’s just the perfect place to relax in the forest. Takes around 12/15 mins to get to Ubud and regular free shuttles available from the hotel. There are also a few nice walks and sights to see just outside the hotel itself which is nice - very peaceful. Would stay here again without a doubt!

It was disgusting- nothing the hotel can do but maybe put a sign up. I shoes on the pool? I’ve asked the people to rise their shoes At The showers steps away if they wanted to wash their shoes and feet. The pool is not the appropriate place for that.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great place to stay at while in Ubud!!! - Although our stay here was unplanned it could not have been better. We got to the place we were supposed to stay at and didn’t like it. So we looked to see if any hotels in the area had rooms and this was the first hotel that popped up. It was very easy to book a room and then a driver to come pick us up with all of our luggage from the place we were at. We ended up getting to the hotel at around 8:30/9pm and we’re abke to easily check in. The hotel staff brought us refreshing welcome drinks and were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming apon our arrival. The room was really clean and nice as well as all of their facilities. It is a bit outside of the city center but you can easily walk there along a pathway or take a shuttle in, which is provided by the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Ubud.
• Verified traveler (6/5): - We stayed at this resort for 4 nights in total. To start off, I believe my review is very fair. I based it off many things and reasons. Most important things I personally look into when traveling is CLEAN, good food, and hospitality. The hotel is very clean keeping in mind that we are jn a forest, only thing is thay we noticed thay the sheets were not changed!!, the towels were folded back instead of changed when showering, and also pool area is amazing. ( we had a room with a private pool) definitely worth it if you swim, we used it only once didnt really amaze ys that much we loved being out more. Food wise the hotel food is not good at all. Breakfast: very limited choices and nothing really thay will fill you up except the pancakes. Fruits were always warm, and all the other dishes they had for breakfast weren’t really freshly made. Lunch: we ate there day of arrival ( prices are fair not expensive) we ordered a pizza which we literally left the way they brought it. Was not good at all or even worth touching. Dinner: we laid for the night bbq they have which had only 4 sorts of dishes ( none were good except one grilled snapper they had) i suggest checking outndinner outside the hotel many other restaurant outside of thebresort were way more classy and tasted way better for cheaper anyways!. The end i would say their hospitality is amazing!!! Hospitality wise you cant go wring at all. They never did anything we didnt like or felt uncomfortable, staff isnvery h
• Hiroko (8/5): In quiet beautiful jungle - Overall our staying was good, the staff were professional and friendly, located in beautiful jungle. We like the stone walls in the property which has traditional Balinese look carving. Very quiet at night. In the room hair dryer didn't work well so I asked front and staff brought me another one right away. The breakfast buffet had so many variety. Especially I loved the porridge with chicken broth, fried onion and lime. One day we had a dish at dinner time in the restaurant because we got hungry after we came back from the town, but that was a bit overpriced despite of the taste. And on the last day the toilet in our room didn't flush. Only few small problems.

Breakfast was good, location was great,rooms were clean and updated the only thing I think the hotel can improve on is the long wait for the rooms to be ready for check in, I waited an hr and 20 min!
• R (8/5): - Overall its a good experience. The only downfall is that staff did not ensure our privacy when we are having our sauna / jacuzzi session as part of our spa package. Before we start the sauna / jacuzzi session the staff informed us that she have blocked the whole room for us but unfortunately my husband saw someone peeping on the door during our session which is unacceptable. We have feedback the incident to the staff but she just said that she already informed the other guest that the sauna / jacuzzi facility is being used by us and apologize but we happen to know from her as well that there is a door key on the other side of the room which make the other guest to have the access to the sauna / jacuzzi room.
