Guest Reviews
- Audrey (2/5): - The place had been shut down for 2 weeks when we got here! We had to run around frantically to try and find somewhere else to stay! Worst experience ever!!!!!!
- Maria (2/5): - Travelers BEWARE ! The photos and descriptions listed are far from what experienced upon arriving at this “lodge”. Upon arriving I find out that this is a “hostel”, where homeless people stay and other types of “1 nighters” stay. My booking was for the 2 queen and 2 futon room as I was traveling with my husband and kids. At the front desk I asked to be sure that was the room and was taken to see the room first. Edwin showed me a room with 6 bunk beds and 2 queen beds, no fridge/microwave. I told him no that’s not what I reserved and that would not work for me. He showed me another room (the one I reserved) and I told him yes. Then back in the office he acted as if he was doing me a favor. We finished the process and he gave me room keys to a different room that he said was “same as the one I showed you” lord have mercy was it not. To start off, I walked into a room with 2 queens and ONE futon, the place was hot as ever with a small window unit AC(had to go hut a fan from cvs at 11pm), absolutely disgustingly dirty with stains and splatters of who knows what, all over the walls, doors, blinds & everywhere in the bathroom. The floors were weak and dirty, huge holes in the walls as if someone kicked it. Hairs and dirt all over the bathroom and stuck to the walls. Beds were barely standing. The TVs turn on but do not work, also there’s no remotes in the room. WiFi .. you can connect but doesnt work at all. Would not recommend or stay. Wish the review let me upload photos or video
- pam (4/5): - No remote to the TV, microwave did not work in the room. The room could use a few updates.
- Hilary (6/5): - The website offered airport and port transfers on their website. Both not available. Our room was on the second floor and no elevator or help. We were traveywith 4 heavy bags.
- Jose (6/5): - Average hostel
- Wilfredo (10/5): - The place is fairly keep. No hot water at night. Too noisy. People walking around at all times. The breakfast is a joke. Some cereal and coffee.
- barbara (2/5): Not for anyone who has a disability - I have mobility challenges. I reserved and paid for this stay a year ago. I had requested handicapped room. When i arrived i was told that there is no elevator. If i wanted a first floor room, i would have to share with strangers. I did not stay. I got a holiday inn a few miles away. You should be sure people are aware that there are 2 flights of stairs. I expect a refund.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good customer service but hostel needs a lot of up - Staff are nice and have good customer service attitude but the facility needs a lot of upgrade. There are no elevators. The hostel does not have free airport transport services as stated on hotels.com
- Lucia (10/5): - La gente es muy amable y está siempre a la disposición para ayudarte y brindarte los mejores servicios. Realmente superó nuestras expectativas. Mas que recomendado el lugar.
- Johana (4/5): - There was nowhere to park, the mattresses squeak too much, we saw men's underwear hanging on an air conditioning vent.
- Brandy (2/5): - Terrible place to stay. We used sheets but their was no blankets. Blinds were broken and people were loud all night long. Police are always there sitting in their car (made me feel a little safer). Save yourself some money and go somewhere else.
- Araceli (2/5): - To begin with the pictures in the site does not match the hotel room for the amount of money paid you’d expect more my experience was truly bad. We called to get the breakfast menu and man hung up. Once we got there we got the incorrect key and walked to someone else’s room while people were sleeping. When we got into the room it looked nothing like the pictures. It only had one room and the living room had 2 bunk beds which were very unstable and the couches were not couch beds. The beds and couches had a stench and it was very dirty, uncomfortable, and unsanitary.
- geoff m (2/5): - The air conditioning of the unit does not work management and people at the front desk have not done anything to help it or to fix it would not recommend this place
- Brandy (6/5): Need to clean better - Walls were disgusting they looked like someone lived in the room and never cleaned. The beds were clean and thankfully we only stayed one night. The area was great and the people were nice. If they would clean the walls and rooms better I would stay again. Beds not too comfy but it’s a hotel.
- Kati (4/5): - Not as advertised. Got a smaller room with less beds than booked. Great location but not for kids and not really close to any restaurants. Won’t be staying again.
- Julio (6/5): - Only the location I liked.
- Edward (6/5): - The positives were cost (appx $200 per night) compared to hotels at $400 per night. Negatives were that TV didnt work and they couldnt fix it when notified of issue. Offered dinner at 530 pm but room had three tables and two were occupied by employees. Breakfast was 730 -830 but when we arrived there was no food or coffee.
- Rebecca (8/5): - The building is very old and can use some updates in the rooms but overall for the price and location it was not bad. The little cafe/bar next door was really nice.
- Viktor (2/5): - We booked a room for 15 people, only got enough beds for 12, this was the second time this same thing happened, and Expedia didn’t address our complains after our first stay.
- Viktor (2/5): - We booked a room for 15 people, there were only enough beds for 12. The AC was dirty, smelled really bad, and didn’t blow cold air, it only made loud noises.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nope - Pictures don’t show how it looks, people sleeping in front of this “hotel”, drugs close by, staff not friendly or helpful one bit, don’t answer the phone. A lady checking out said do not stay here, it’s nasty and definitely do not sit down on the dirty toilets. This place shouldn’t be listed
- Amanda (6/5): - I didn’t care for their not being proper parking and it wasn’t not advertised as a hostel on Hopper where I booked but it was fine for a 1 night stay
- Brian (4/5): - Never stay here!!!
- Katherine (10/5): - Everything went smoothly. Room was clean and comfy. Dining and drinks in outdoor cute patio attached. Super friendly staff.
- Edgardo (2/5): Horrible - The place is discusting
- Alexsandria (10/5): - Got everything i need
- Daniel (10/5): - Our stay at Bikini Lodge was really great. The house is very good, the location is awesome and the staff is really really helpful. I and my family highly recommend.
- Lonnie (4/5): - Not what was advertised. Very old, dirty and no parking.
- Betty (4/5): - There was no working television, the blinds don’t shut people can see in, no blinds in the shower, no dinner no breakfast worth mentioning, noisy from construction work.
- Christal (2/5): - I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone it wasn’t really what I expected from seeing the pictures online differently won’t be staying there again
- Micah (4/5): - The first thing I ran into was a drunk cursing at the staff and passing out in the hallway, requiring police. Then I find out the orbitz description for the property was wrong and we got a 1 bedroom apartment instead of a 3 bedroom house. The beds had no blankets, the AC unit kept switching to 76° causing the room to be hot. The hot water didn't work. There is no laundry facilities. The room was next to communal kitchen. The parking is non-existent and I got a parking ticket because the signs are not clear. The staff overall were helpful, but the place itself is the problem. The website is completely inaccurate and outdated. Don't get me started on the beds, it's like sleeping on the cheapest mattress from Walmart along with pillows that provide less support than airplane pillows. The only reason we stayed is because orbitz screwed up our other reservation and allowed an unauthorized individual to cancel it. If your a college student or traveling and young, this is fine, but for a family with kids, this is not a great place.
- Saterriah (6/5): - Staff truly needs to check guests reservations BEFORE their arrival to ensure that the property has been paid by 3rd party sites. That way they won't be charged twice for the same stay.
- Lisa (8/5): - The place was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. The little restaurant was really cute and the food was good. Overall everything was good and I'd definitely stay again for a short stay
- Timbre (2/5): - This is a Hostile!!! Not a lodge!!! Very run down. While we had a private room, the blinds we broken. The matress squeaked at the slightest movement and was completely uncomfortable. I had to take a Luke warm shower and dry off with exfoliating hand towels. There was a room in front of ours that would allow for 6 individuals, though there was no one in that room. There is no parking what do ever. The “kitchen” was disgusting and “breakfast” was a joke!
- Colleen (10/5): - An older building but clean and well kept.
- Rachel (2/5): - Bad policy, I will never ever recommend this.
- Saba (2/5): Worst place to stay in Miami - This is the worst place I ever lived in my life. No TV working no hot water. Worst breakfast only bread. No toiletries in the washroom. Blood on the bed sheets. smelly fridge
I will never stay here again, or I will never recommend anyone to stay there. Waste of money
- Amanda (6/5): - There was limited parking, room itself was ok, not the worst not the greatest
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not what we expected - Definitely not what we expected. The air conditioner finally cooled the room by 5am the next day. No parking. Pay to park 2 blocks away. The room was old and would be nice if updated. Holes in door, wall. They said breakfast buffet…. Cereal and bread. Very nice lady at desk, though.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This was a clean hostel. We had the rooms for just our group. The staff were very friendly and professional. The A/C was undersized, and couldn’t beat the heat, but it was June in Miami.
- Jalaris (6/5): -
- Brooke (2/5): Do not stay here!!!! - There was no shuttle service even tho it was advertised. Room was dirty, shower was all rusty and there was mould in the air conditioner. I left after one night as I was meant to be there for a week.
- Jonathan (4/5): - Bathroom was dirty
- Charles (10/5): - We felt welcomed and room was better than expected. Courtyard music too loud but stopped around 11 pm so was ok. Staff very friendly
- Robin (6/5): - The rooms are not clean enough.
- Roberto (6/5): - nothing
- jose (2/5): - The worst hostal
- Krysta (10/5): - Great short stay, wonderful location, kids loved all the bunk beds!
- Lorensa (10/5): - Everything was good no problem.
- Justino (4/5): - Out dated
- Julian (4/5): - The only positive side is that is cheap.
The place rents beds per night so you have all kinds of people living there, people smoking weed at the entrance of the place all the time, they talk until late time in the night, and is really hard to get sleep because of that. You don't have any place to park your car no matter if you want to pay for it or not. You feel unsafe in that place. The bed sheets are than old and bad quality that you can see thought them and we found hair in the towels.
- Juan (2/5): - We rented the House for 1 day, arrived at the Facility checked in and realized the property hadnt been cleaned. Trash everywhere, bathrooms a mess, no clean towels or linnens. The house is nasty and very deteriorating.
- Mamie (2/5): - This property is unsafe. I am a single woman, staying by myself, and they gave the key to my room to another couple without my permission. I was undressed in bed almost asleep when two people came into my room. I had to run to the front desk because there are no phones in the rooms, only to be told that it was a system mistake. Don't stay here, it's unsafe.
- S V (8/5): Short stay - Great
- Norman (6/5): - It was old and run down would never stay there again
- Stephanie (6/5): - Noisy!
- Theodore (8/5): - Everything was cool
- MARIA JOSE (10/5): good overall! good service! - Its ok for tourism and go know places, good location, near Lincoln Drive outdoors mall, beautiful place and then the beach. Good staff and service.
- elaine (8/5): - The room was exactly what we needed.
The room was clean and the staff was really nice.
- Arkira (2/5): - Tv did not work, air conditioning was not properly working, the room was just filthy
- Edrinne Eros (6/5): - Very limited parking space.
- Mariela (4/5): - This is a hostel. It should said that on the heading. It was not up to my standard. I left the next day.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Staff is very friendly and hotel is in a good location, but that’s about all it has going for it. Stayed one night and killed a fairly large bug in the bathroom. There was no parking available (even though I was told at check in that there was), so had to find it on street and walk quite a distance to the hotel. TV didn’t work and no one answered phone at front desk when I called (several times) about fixing it. Breakfast is just coffee and cereal, nothing else.
- Ross (2/5): - Everything
- Leana (8/5): - The staff was nice and friendly. The room was nice and spacious.
- Ngn (4/5): - Bad! Did not receive my security deposit. After i show them the place already looked run down.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We found an alive bug under our pillow, we got the stay for the night, but we drove back home like the devil was after us. The ac was not conditioning the whole place so the part where the ac was was cool and three foot forward into the room was so warm, the kitchen and the bathroom. It was very disappointing. I wish I could upload a pic and the video I took. Disgusting
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was nothing like what they advertised it as. Service was horrible. No one even showed their face for 40 min. Then waited for another 15 before he even said anything. I would never go there or send anyone there. I left almost immediately after getting to my room.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Totally different from pictures didn't have tv signal it look like part of the hotel was use as a shelter
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The pictures on this site are a complete contrast to the rental location. We were expecting a friendly family environment and were appalled by the smell of drugs and people laying on the ground in front of location. I have tried to get a full refund since 3/2021 from Expedia but they still have not resolved the issue. I have tried to remain patient as this was presented to us under false advertising, I just hope Expedia is able to provide a refund soon.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nos encantó el cuarto con cocina muy limpio y equipado el personal fue excelente especialmente Travis gracias por sus sugerencias.
- Chelsea B. (2/5): Nothing as pictured or stated in listing - The pictures that appear to be the place you’re staying are the lobby. The correct name is Bikini hostel which explains everything whole place was extremely deceitful and manager refused to speak to us at all we never stayed at the place was told to email never got a response was told to send a 2nd email. We ended up having to get an Airbnb very disappointed in VRBO to allow this to happen
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was there for 7 days Everything about the hotel was HORRIBLE I WOULD NOT recommend ANYONE to stay there WORST experience of my life
- Verified traveler (2/5): - terrible and ugly
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not good. - No era lo que esperaba
Esperaba algo mas Nice
Los servicios la cosina muy sucia muy desordenado.😐
No me dejo acceder al wifi decía que free.
No buelvo ayi.😶
es mas como para tipo trabajadores temporales.🙄
- Amanda (2/5): Horrible experience - This was a horrible experience we didn’t even stay the night my children were scared the man at the front desk wasnt even suppose to rent to us apparently because we didn’t have a passport and because we were Florida residents. I don’t appreciate you all telling me that I couldn’t get my money back which is ridiculous to me. I didn’t even stay at the place or spend anytime in the room nor did we touch the beds or anything! I would like a phone call from hotels.com customer service department 9046430248
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was not at all what was explained on the website. It’s a hostel full of a bunch of kids with loud music and not at all what I was expecting. I did not even stay I end up leaving and going and staying at a friends place. The person at the front desk told me that I could get a refund and I emailed the bikini hotel hostile for it refund and so far no one has responded in two days.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like the location, and the staff was very nice !
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The placed looked nothing like it appeared in the picture. Our room was not clean; large amount of mold in the microwave, bathroom was not clean, and a few of the items where broke. The staff were nice however no one came to clean the microwave when asked and most clothes and linen had multiple stains.
- HANNA (4/5): The worst hostel experience ever - I booked a studio suite for my husband, my teenage kid & myself. We travel for adventure, spending all the time exploring a new location, so we basically need a bed and breakfast. According to this, I thought that booking a suite in Bikini Lodge would be a good idea. Also, the reviews were decent. OMG, I regretted that since the first minute. First, it was not the same room as in the pics. Second, the room was dirty AF. The suite looked like nobody cleaned it up before we came there. I’m not even sure if they changed the bed linen. I noticed that there were soap leftovers, and staff refused to refill. They gave us only one rag like towel per guest. The bathroom sink was clogged. There was black mold throughout the bathroom tile and grout. Broken bathroom window I wasn’t able to open. My kid had to sleep on a disgusting coach full of bread crumbs. If you’re sensitive to noise during your sleep this hostel is not gonna work for you. Come-and-go people gather in the hostel’s beer garden, get drunk, and smoke weed 24/7. All this crap accompanies loud music which is fine in decent hours.
Do not fall for the advertised free breakfast & dinner. They offer cheap coffee & cereals for breakfast & grilled dollar chicken for dinner.
In conclusion, you'll enjoy your stay at the Bikini Lodge if you are planning to party around the clock, and remain under influence.
My advice: add few bucks, and find a better place.
I assume, back in days Bikini was a nice place but now it's a mess.
- Oliver N. (4/5): Great location, not very clean - This property is not as advertised. It is actually a hostel; the workers are fantastic and super welcoming and great to work with, however, this place is much smaller than advertised and is pretty gross. It is great for a group of about 8 people rather than 16 and is in a great location in South Beach.
- Annie (4/5): If you’re only looking for a cheap place to sleep - Upon arrival the front desk person seemed to have zero idea what he was doing, took about thirty minutes for him to kind of figure it out and he showed us our room. The room was decent enough to sleep in. Loud music in the little court yard pretty much 24/7. Beds were uncomfortable and very squeaky to the point it would wake me and my friends up every time someone moved in their sleep. I’d say the worst part was when the front desk people actually checked someone else into our room and these people unlocked our door with their hotel key and almost walked right in. I wonder what would have happened if we had still been out to dinner at the time, would they have gone through our belongings? Who knows. Staff needs to be trained on how to do their jobs. Very disappointing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Yikess - Their wifi is weird and I didn't receive any Wi-Fi when that's what I paid for. My television didn't work. My key cards were activated for the wrong room the first time. service was super slow, everything was just bad and i was only there for one night.
- Nichael (2/5): - I liked the location. The fridge was dirty the table was broken. There were no towels during check in. The room smell like smoke and we’re ashes on couch. The tv had no remote and not programmed and the floors wasn’t swept or mopped all the mirrors were dirty and a old back of T.G.I. Friday’s was moles under sink.
- Carlos (10/5): - The place was not very clean on the outside. However once you are in the room it was clean. I was happy with the room I got.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Our stay was good, it's walking distance from the beach and near restaurants. Free parking is limited but we were able to manage. I would stay there again.
- Miguel (2/5): - I tried to cancel or postpone my reservation due to Covid 19 situation, because Miami Beach per the Florida Health Department is in red and the ZIP code of the hotel has 1336 cases and the most important the Hotel DO NOT have in it's web page any covid-19 safe & cleaning standard or procedure. Therefore, I did not feel really secure to stay in this hotel and do not be inffected.
I do ask to Expedia if you verify and demand to the Hotels Covid-19 procedures to avoid infections?
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dont do it - This place is unlivable to say the least
- Jose (10/5): Good spot to stay - The air conditioner wasn’t all that but the stay was great
- Judy (10/5): - I am 77 years young...my friends with me are over 70 and somewhat apprehensive about staying in a hostel. We had a great time - meet some really fun, interesting people and felt very welcome. Thank you for not being age discriminate in any way or fashion - very welcoming!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great value. Great staff - Ash is great! Will stay here again. Great location.
- DeShawn (8/5): - Wasn't too sure initially but once we got in the room it was very nice. The little restaurant had AMAZING fish tacos.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible - The heat did not work, the two tvs did not work, the sinks were stopped up. The stove didn't work the water was lukewarm in the shower. The chairs were wobbly, the furniture was in poor condition. The pictures on the website look nothing like the hotel. The blinds were missing pieces. The floor is dismantled, a complete disappointment.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Rough stay - Kinda dirty but very convenient
- Emily (10/5): Great find for the price - My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bikini Lodge. The staff was friendly, our room was clean, and the location is only a 20 minute walk to the beach. We were really impressed that dinner was included (we had bacon mac n cheese while there). The atmosphere was a little bit more "party" than I normally like, but for the price in Miami you cant beat it. Beds were not super comfy, but serviceable. The AC in our room was loud and woke me up a couple times, but after adjusting the settings it was fine. I loved having a kitchen in our apartment-style room. Overall, I would reccomend this place.
- Angel (8/5): - It was ok . If we wasnt sharing a house with someone else.
- melanie (8/5): Pathetic - Had to wait dam near 2 hour to get a room had to make serval calls bk in fourth cause they don’t rent out rms to fl residents!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and plenty of space for a large bachelor party group. The staff was accommodating with early check-in and communication was great. I would recommend it for your large group outing to South Beach
- Alexander (10/5): Fun On Budget 😍 - My husband and I came down to Miami for our Anniversary ❤️ we hotel hopped for our last two days here. This stop was our last stop before going back home to Atlanta. A Hostel.... very interesting??? Love it.😍 We walked EVERYWHERE did move the car at all!!! Amber the receptionist was a total delight and extra cool😍 Our room was very comfortable (double private room) and they offer free breakfast and dinner. All for a low price!!! Would recommend to anyone on a budget....had a ball!
- Demislima (10/5): - Everything all right got only one problem I paid in cash and you guys charged me in my card too
