All guests under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by adult.
In the situation where a reservation was booked online, and the guest cannot provide valid ID or that ID states that the guest is under the age of 18 years of age, the hotel has right to refuse admission.
As a security measure and to prevent any potential fraudulent transactions the credit card given at the time of booking must be the same card that is produced at the time of check in with the appropriate guests name on the card.
Group T&Cs : When booking 3 rooms or more or reservation of over 5 nights , different policies will apply and the customer will be contacted by the hotel with more information.
10% Non-Refundable Deposit is to be paid within 5 days of the reservation date. The balance to be paid 60 days prior to arrival.
If the above payment terms are not met , The hotel reserves the right to cancel of the booking.
No-Show Policy:
All guests who do not arrive on their scheduled date of arrival are considered No-Shows.
No-show reservations will be canceled and charged for the first night, as per the Talbot Collection booking policy.
Once a room is released due to a no-show, there is no obligation to hold it for subsequent nights.
If a guest arrives the following day, the booking may be reinstated at management discretion.Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Safe and fridge in the room. Rooms finished to a very high standard. Staff were very warm, welcoming and very friendly. Tv didn't have any apps.

Found the room a little too hot in the evenings otherwise a lovely comfortable hotel with an excellent bar and facilities

- Cathy (3/5): Good hotel ruined by the stifling heat in the room. Awful. - Location. Gym. The room was like a furnace. Off the scale hot. No air flow. Suffocating and couldn’t sleep. Air fan simply moved hot air around the room. Window opened an inch. Awful and won’t stay here again because of the stifling heat. Staff admitted same even in December and they couldn’t do anything about it. Really uncomfortable and unpleasant and ruined the stay.

- Anne (7/5): Lovely Hotel Nice location - Lovely hotel in great location. Clean, rooms of good size, comfortable bed. Good facilities. Fabulous breakfast and staff were very friendly No air con!! The room was too warm, stuffy and at times I felt I couldn't breathe. Toilet had no air con or fan. A small dyson fan was on the room but it barely cooled it! We kept fan on all night and window open. Water dispenser was broken on 3rd floor. I felt that complimentary water could have been provided to customers on the 3rd floor in this instance. Facilities in the leisure centre were also out of action. It was a shame as it was on the basis of the leisure facilities we chose the hotel. Had walked 1st Day of St Declan's Way and was looking forward to availing of sauna.

- daniellemI1370MR (10/5): Book The Slievenamon Suite - I was lucky enough to win a night away for two through a local radio station, and decided to chance my arm by emailing the hotel to see if we could upgrade to a suite and pay the difference. William replied almost immediately and had everything organised for us with zero fuss. His kindness set the tone for the entire stay. We upgraded to the Slievenamon Suite and all I can say is: do not hesitate to book,DO. NOT. HESITATE! The suite was pure luxury from the moment we walked in. A beautiful sitting room with a cosy fireplace, TV, coffee machine and fridge; a separate bedroom with the most stunning four‑poster bed; and views that were the cherry on top. The bathroom was equally gorgeous, spotless, elegant, and genuinely indulgent. I honestly felt like I’d stepped into a movie set. We did not want to check out. William checked us in and was so friendly and welcoming, which made everything feel even more special. We had drinks in the bar later that evening and were served by Dave, an absolute gentleman. I asked for a cocktail and gave him free rein, and he did not disappoint. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, with something for everyone. When checking out, we were greeted by a lovely girl on reception (long hair and glasses) who was so friendly and attentive, the perfect final touch to a wonderful stay. Thank you so much, Talbot Clonmel, for an unforgettable getaway. We will absolutely be back.

- 868alexao (2/5): Good First Impression, But Major Issues During Stay - Booking through the website was straightforward, and check-in was smooth with very friendly reception staff. The room was spacious and very clean. We also appreciated the thoughtful birthday card and chocolate gift for my child. However, there were several issues that significantly impacted our stay. The room temperature was extremely uncomfortable. Despite it being early April, the room was excessively hot. There is no air conditioning, and the window opens only slightly, which made it very difficult to regulate the temperature. Staying in a family room under these conditions was particularly challenging, and at one point during the night, my children had to sit on the bathroom floor to cool down. Another issue was the lack of clear information regarding the TV. The hotel website does not mention that USB and HDMI inputs are blocked. In 2026, being able to access personal streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, or Disney+ is a standard expectation, especially when travelling with children. This is something we regularly use in other hotels. As there was no prior information about this restriction, I contacted reception. The manager came to the room almost two hours later and attempted to unlock one of the ports, saying he would follow up while we were out for dinner. However, this was not resolved, and we were left without TV access for the night with three children. As a result, I had to ask a friend to travel and bring a device for us—something entirely unexpected when paying €200 for a one-night stay. The following morning at breakfast, the manager approached me and attributed the issue to me, which I found both unpleasant and unprofessional. Overall, the hotel did not provide clear information, did not offer a room change, and did not resolve the issue, leaving us without basic amenities expected in a family room. Unfortunately, this also affected my child’s birthday, as we had planned a simple movie night. While there were positive aspects, the overall experience felt closer to a two-star standard.

- atkinsonjade16 (10/5): One night stay, April 2026 - Hotel/room was beautiful. Plenty of parking. We attended a gig at the hotel which was very well organised. When we checked in, we booked a dinner reservation in the restaurant. When we went down to the restaurant for our booking, staff members had no idea what I was on about. We were told by the restaurant to go to the bar and then we were told by bar staff to go back to the restaurant. In the end 3 staff members in the restaurant had a discussion about whos fault it was in front of us and with hesitation they eventually seated us in the restaurant. At the time, the restaurant wasnt busy and there was at least 20+ tables available. It was an awkward experience to say the least. For breakfast, we had a much better experience and staff were very helpful and welcoming.

- Sightseer16754727787 (10/5): Excellent staff. Great rooms (big) clean and comfortable - I recently stayed at this hotel, and I feel compelled to share how truly exceptional their staff are. During our visit, my niece, who has special needs, found herself in a difficult and distressing situation involving a car. It was an incredibly worrying moment for us as a family. However, the hotel staff responded with such kindness, patience, and professionalism that it made all the difference. They immediately stepped in to help, What stood out most was their understanding and compassion It’s rare to encounter such genuine empathy and willingness to go above and beyond. This experience showed us that this hotel is not just a place to stay, but a place where people truly care about their guests. Mark the manager was wonderful and brought out coffees while we waited for the fire department. I cannot thank the team enough for their support, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone—especially families who value kindness, understanding, and exceptional service. Also Geraldine and the other breakfast staff in the restaurant (breakfast) was wonderful and took great care of my niece. Looking forward to returning

Effort in architecture of building to maximise light and draw in views where possible. Thought invested in layout of the shower too ie could turn it on without getting wet! Location was too far from town for an easy walk

My mother and her group of friends have coffee a couple of times a week but they recently lost one of the group. The service wasn't in town but the Talbot set up a screen in a private room so that her friends could watch the service and say goodbye to their friend. Tea and coffee was provided free of charge. They really went above and beyond for my mother and her friends. It was so very much appreciated by them all. So thank you all so much for what you did.

Outstanding alive for money considering that we had afternoon tea, evening meal and a cocktail included. The staff went above and beyond, a special shout out to Aisling at front desk and Geraldine in food service. It’s rare these days to feel truly welcomed and a valued guest at a hotel.
