• Geoff (5/5): I have stayed on previous occasions due to location. - Location is quite central, bed was Mattress was very deep and very soft. As were the pillows. Led to uncomfortable sleep.

I travel around AUS and even NT is not like this. - Central, easy to find close to all amenities Clean Bathroom - new toilet - good hot water quiet (no street or people noise) Close to the station and museums Towels and linen clean - no smells Fridge did not make any noise (that is a plus) Thick drapes and clean curtains sadly some windows very dirty very bad bed - springs in my shoulders - sagging small room - NO CHAIR but a table fridge set too high - fruit froze - air con weak and filter not cleaned in probably 6 months had to take allergy medication ... already very cold in autumn TV offers plenty of channels but all of them ask for keys, subscription etc.... so in fact very little on offer . Is in great need of paint (plinths, windows, doors etc...) looks shabby Rip off for 194 dollars a night Limited parking on the base of first in best dressed Planter boxes full of cigarettes butts - an eyesore... provide containers to that purpose and empty them will improve the look of the motel. Put a notice to the smokers of where to put the butts... difficult way of getting in in diagonal due to the restaurant sharing the driveway... better not to miss the way in due to separated street lanes

There was nothing for us to wash up cups or glasses other than to rinse. No cloths to wipe tables down. These things were not done by the cleaner. Nor was the room vacuumed

• Kellie (5/5): I paid $170 for the night ( inc 12.pm check in) which I once I saw the room thought was a tad high. - Great location, right across from the park, for an extra fee we were able to check in early as we had a wedding to attend at 2.pm. Early check in was easy (we did arrive earlier than requested so had to wait a while but that wasn't there doing). i did think I had an early check in option with booking.com but was advised by hotel we needed to pay an extra $20 per room The room pictures on Booking.com appeared a lot more modern than the rooms actually are so I was a little taken a back when we first arrived. Although outdated with a bit of wear and tear they did appear clean. Bathroom/toilet a little small, vanity had stains and markings due to age. Our rooms were also inundated with mosquitoes when we arrived, and that was in both rooms we booked which was disappointing. We asked the cleaners for fly spray, but they unfortunately said they didn't have any. Sleep was rough swatting mosquitoes away all night.

Communication with staff was incredible. - Due to a family emergency I had to have my 14yr old daughter check in on her own and Amanda was super helpful and allowed my daughter to check in early prior to my arrival. The room was perfect for our needs. Beds were super comfy. Basic items in the room for tea and coffee which was great. Bathroom a tad old needs a bit of upkeep but didnt effect our staff at all. The water pressure was amazing. Hot water was awesome.

• Alan (8/5): Well worth the stay..if only for the bed!! - Location, location location. The property is less than 100 metres from the Main Street…a winner. And the bed is to die for - the most comfortablest I have experienced…a real winner. The room has a microwave, larger TV than normal and you could READ the names of the shower condiments! Looked a bit daggy from the outside with the railing needing an update but apart from that all good.

Tv would not work. No wifi password given. No staff available on site to try and fix these issues. Not a lot of available power points. I suggest you take a power board if you are going to stay there. Quite noisey at night. Found it difficult to sleep

Cleaning lady barged in at 9am without knocking. Was incredibly rude about the whole situation. No kitchen facilities. Cracked walls looked like someone had punched it. Shower temperature all over the place. Rooms are small and stuffy. Terrible value for money. 100m further down the road The Royal Hotel was cheaper with friendlier staff and a comfier stay. Avoid this place if you can.

The mattress needs replacing on the Queen as the middle is sunken and we kept rolling into the middle and into each other. We didn’t sleep very well due to this. The singles in the room were fine. Bed linen was good. The rooms are very tired and need a lot of work.
