The rooms are in detached buildings and are spacious although quite simple in terms of services (room telephone would be a good addition). Meals are also ‘minimal’ but surely tasty. Nice staff. Not centric.

• SullyBoy2020 (10/5): Paradise - Linda Vista del Norte is paradise on earth. The hotel is located in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano. My wife and I watched the sun rise over Arenal, and set over the mountains. The staff of the establishment understands the meaning of “Pura Vida” and live it in every way. When we arrived at the hotel, we were met with a gracious smile and honest welcome from Bryan. He, as well as the rest of the staff, made us feel as though we were coming home. As if we were welcomed family members who were weary from traveling. They attended to everything. The rooms were immaculate. The onsite restaurant, Loma Linda, is phenomenal. There is honestly no need to ever leave the property. As I was checking out, I asked Bryan if I could take a picture. He assumed I meant if he would take one of my wife and I. Not at all. I took this picture because he was such an important and integral part of our first trip to Costa Rica. The other picture is from our room. Waking up in the shadow of Arenal, seeing the sun rising over it, hearing nature around us and the warmth of the staff. This is why I say that Linda Vista del Norte is paradise. There is not a more appropriate word to describe it. This may be the first time, but definitely will not be the last. We will most certainly visit Linda Vista del Norte hotel again. Pura Vida every one. Pura Vida my new friend Bryan.

• glennbeauj (10/5): Hotel Linda Vista - This place is a hidden gem. We were a bit skeptical at first for $55/night, but after staying 2 nights, we couldn’t believe it was only $55 a night. Clean spacious rooms, AC, hot water and some really amazing views. We definitely recommend this hotel and they also have a great on site restaurant with amazing views of Arenal Volcano & Lake. They also have a pool and jacuzzi. They also have a great restaurant on site with excellent food, friendly staff, and amazing views.

• nirali1989 (10/5): Beautiful views - This hotel was lovely, really clean, large rooms with a great, strong shower. It has great views of the volcano and a pool, hot tub and restaurant. The reception person was very friendly and there’s ample parking right outside the rooms. We ate in the restaurant which was really nice food and went for a local walk where we had a lovely experience of walking in the rainforest!

• Eric (10/5): - Incredible views of the volcano and lake! Super friendly and helpful staff. Loved the bird feeders, the window placements, and abundant viewing areas. Rooms are a little dated and sparse (a TV from two decades ago, erratic wifi, and lack of power outlets), but they were clean and comfortable. I would recommend bringing body wash if you don’t like small hand soap to shower with. The breakfast was decent, maybe a tiny step above a continental breakfast. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant for other meals though. It was pricy, mediocre quality, and didn’t taste great. Overall, I would recommend it and would stay here again.

Breakfast in the morning was pretty good. you will need a car to get around. Rooms themselves are pretty dated, I got a junior suite and for some reason the two beds were facing each other which was a bit strange.

• baggolino (8/5): Great hotel experience, fairly priced. I would definitely return. - This is a gem of a hotel situated 20-25 minutes drive from La Fortuna. Our room a premium with two queen beds had exceptional views, we saw much wild life during our stay due to the view from the room and the remote location. There is a lovely pool area, with a hot tub. The pool was not heated, probably due to December being off peak. The hot tub was. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well maintained during our stay. The breakfast, which is included in the rate, was average. You do need a car if you plan to stay at this hotel. I rate this hotel 4.5/5

• Marie (6/5): Outdated and quite unclean - Hotel with good view, but the rooms are not clean, the beds, shower etc are not comfortable and very much outdated and require a lot of maintenance. A stay that was quite disappointing. But if you’re here just for the view, then it’s okay I guess. The restaurant attached to it is quite expensive but excellent. Plan a 40min trip to la Fortuna. Many big potholes on the way to the hotel.

Great location near to many activities in the area.

Decent food choices including vegetarian options. It may be little far from La Fortuna if there is preference for other varieties of food.

The bathroom was very tight, no soap or shampoo or hanging towels. The food was basic and without variety. We had to have service repair the glass sliding door lock when we arrived because it didn’t lock. Thankfully the area seemed safe because the doors didn’t have deadbolt locks or secure stops.
