• Tracey Dawn (10/5): - Crystal gave great instructions to enter the property after hours. Apartment was on the top floor (note no stairs for those with mobility issues). No problem for us at all. As part of our package a mid stay clean was offered which included restocking toilet paper, washing powder and dishwasher items - never usually included so that’s a real plus! Comfy beds and so close to everything including the beach a few steps away. Loved it!

Located at the quiet end of Macrossan Street, Silkari Reflections delivered on all that it promoted. The two room superior apartment we booked was spacious, very clean and wanted for nothing in way of anything we needed. The modest pool was very clean and I swam in it everyday of our stay. Manager; Crystal was an absolute delight. Whilst always busy and highly professional nothing was ever too much trouble for her if you needed her friendly assistance. She always made you feel like a very valued guest. I also noted this when I witnessed her interactions with other guests. Silkari Hotels is very lucky to have acqired her services and she is a valuable ambassador for the brand. Also I would like to commend the friendly and fastidious cleaning staff. We will both happily return to Silkari Refections of Port Douglas.

A few simple fixes need attending like broken towel rail in bathroom, blind in living area broken and beds seriously need replacing. Otherwise great location, easy walk into town and right next to four mile beach. Pool was perfect temperature and would probably stay again if it was updated a little.
• Tanya (7/5): The location is fabulous but the apartments are old and in need of some attention. - Location was great. Parking was good. The supplies in each of the 5 apartments varied. One two bedroom apartment had no water glasses, inadequate wine glasses for 4 people. Air conditioning was soo noisy. The pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see the bottom or your hand under the water. Three bedroom apartment had a used condom on one of the bedroom floors.

The pool area could do with a bit of TLC but the apartment was well equipped and great size for a family. Kitchen has everything you could need. Communication in the lead up to check in was great. Special thanks to Emma and Crystal for organising the room to be ready for an early checkin- this made a trip so much easier with a toddler.

The apartment was a fantastic size, comfortable and well equipped. Staff were super helpful and organised a surprise on arrival for the birthday guests. The only minor thing was having to walk out off the complex to reach the swimming pool but not a big issue

The location alone makes this a must stay. 20 second walk to four mile beach and 2 minutes to a range of fantastic cafes and restaurants. Older facilities, broken shower, washing machine issues and the pool a little questionable too, but the pool area was nice.

The manager, Crystal was brilliant and took care of everything we needed and was delightful to deal with.

Plenty of shampoo etc in bathrooms. Negatives……whole apt very tired. The toilet seat covers in dire need of replacing as badly stained. Pool area not very welcoming with a smelly bbq crammed in the Cnr. Blinds very rust stained.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good but not great - The apartment size was very good. Unfortunately it is getting a bit tired and there was a few issues I felt uncomfortable with. The main one was the staining of the toilet seats that could not be removed with cleaning. I feel new seats are needed. The bottom of our shoes became dirty even though we didn’t wear them outside which made me wonder about the floor tiles! Apartment is in a very convenient location for shopping, the beach and restaurants. Apartment well equipped except for an egg slice!!!!

The appartment was clean well equipped and very quite at night and a nice b - The location is amazing only 150 metres from the beach , and walking distance to all restaurants, supermarkets, and Harbour Was not there fault but booked a 3 bedroom apartment and was downgraded to 2 bedroom last minute which was not ideal . This was due to renevations that had not been completed on time . However crystal was very apologetic and accommodating.

• George.n (9/5): Superb - The location is perfect! Just 100 metres away from Four Mile Beach & a leisurely 5 minute stroll (500m) to the main hub / town. This is just nitpicking but, the split A/C filters require cleaning & the master bathroom exhaust fan wasn't operational.
• Raeleene (7/5): Amazing location - Based on unit 5 only. Location is amazing Value for money Unit had everything we needed apart from what I put in what I didn’t like. Bed needs to be updated it was too hard for my liking. Unit could do with a bit of TLC and updating. Take your own hairdryer the one in the bathroom was horrible. Only 1 towel per person. If you wanted a towel for the pool (because you aren’t allowed to use a bath towel for the pool) or an extra towel you had to pay for them. In defence there was a washing machine and dryer but in any place I have stayed before I have never had to pay for a towel for the pool.

• trevordX5170CO (10/5): Our stay in Paradise - It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Silkari Reflections. The unit was exceptionally clean, well appointed and beautifully spacious. It is also in close proximity to restaurants, shops and beach. Nothing was too much trouble for Crystal, she made our stay there just perfect.
• ajknight (4/5): Whoever is running this place needs a wakeup call - I am usually very gracious on small businesses, but this is killing itself. We arrived around 5:00 pm and no one was in the office. There was a phone number to call if we needed anything. Thank God I had purchased international calling. However, there was no area code or country code for the phone number, so I had to google it. The lady answered and said the keys are in your room. The door is unlocked. We found the room and it smelled right away of must/ mildew. The keys never worked and neither did the safe keys, so we left the room open when we left. We were there for 4 days, and no one ever came to the office EVER. I had to pull out the couch for a plug and it was filthy back there. The blankets for the bed smelled so bad we didn't use them. We washed all the dishes before we used them because they smelled too and made things taste bad. Even the ice was terrible. The washing machine kept failing like giving a code. The pool was relaxing but could use a vacuuming. we needed help on our transportation and the lady that worked in the hotel next door helped us. I do not know who has a job with customers and does not EVER show up to see if things were ok. Or if we needed anything. I feel bad for businesses in these times, but this one deserves to fail.

The next day, Shannon and Crystal got us into our original booking. We liked it so much that we extended our stay — to make up for the night we lost. Highly recommend the great people at Silkari.

• lornai2019 (8/5): Comfortable, central apartment - Good sized comfortable apartment in great location. Apartment was pretty quiet considering great central location. Well appointed kitchen with everything you’d need for catering on a family stay. Supermarket a short walk away. Bathrooms generously sized and good water pressure. Some aspects were a little tired but overall a pleasant stay. I wouldn’t chose this apartment for the pool - which was pretty small and not much room fit more than one family poolside at a time. But the beach is very close and much more scenic.

Was annoying not having any beach towels available (they ran out) We used our bath towels against advice and had to wash and dry them. Internet was sketchy

• Glenys (10/5): Great place to stay. - Great place to stay, very welcoming. We had a two bedroom unit. Big bedrooms, kitchen, and large patio. Everything we needed, including short walk to main centre and beach. No complaints.
• PJswan (10/5): A Nice Big Apartment - We stayed for a week and really enjoyed this well laid out, spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Luckily we requested the top level which was bright and airy. As mentioned, lower rooms may be rather dark. There were a few issues to be fixed (a broken towel rail and a microwave compartment cover which did not stay up) and Crystal responded quickly fixing both. Strange that these issues were not reported earlier. The bbq was basic but did the trick. We didn’t use the pool but pool/beach towels were $5 to hire. There were a few beach chairs to use which were handy. Would we stay there again? Yes.
• Reigatemum (6/5): Fabulous location but accommodation average - Our least favourite accommodation during our recent 3 week trip to Australia. If position is your priority then I would recommend as it’s walking distance to the beach and all the shops/restaurants on Macrossan St. However, we found our ground floor 2 bed apartment to be dark, no privacy, no view and certainly not the tropical balcony view we were expecting. The sofas were comfy but there was a general feeling of being not quite clean. The floors felt dirty, our feet were filthy after taking our shoes off when we arrived. Items in the kitchen needed cleaning. Compared to similar accommodation in Palm Cove this was far more expensive but far less quality. Didn’t meet our expectations.

Was lacking toiletries - had to ask - and the beds were not very comfortable. Beds had only sheets, extra blankets in the closet were thin and worn. I heard that when Carmen was still there, customer service was excellent. The new people were nice enough but not really that helpful.

• Skye (8/5): Comforable and value for money stay in the perfect location. - Great location right on the main road near the beach. Comfortable apartments that were a good size for a family. Carmel was extremely friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with in the lead up to and during our trip. The pool wasn’t heated during our stay which was a bit cold for the kids, especially once the morning sun was gone from the pool area.

Carmel the property manager was very friendly and accommodating for all our needs the pool was cold as not heated till 1st June and doesn’t get any sun. Also you need to go out on the street to access the pool from your room.

Spacious and clean, self contained appartments, 3 bedrooms, which suited our family of 5, perfect. Then there's Carmel... welcomed us on arrival out the front, treated us like family and helped us when ever we asked, perfect. Will be recommending Reflections whenever we can! :)

Carmel was a fantastic host and the gardens are lovely. Comfortable and quiet. A bit dated, could do with a few new items, especially the cotton bed covers. Sheets and towels were lovely and crispy clean.

• Tjoyce_85 (10/5): LOCATION IS PERFECT, HOST WAS SUPPORTIVE, ACCOMMODATION IDEAL - This hotel is where you want to stay, a 30-second walk to the 4-mile beach, and it is at the end where you can swim in the sea that is open for swimming. nowhere else you can. PERFECT LOCATION. . Before booking, we shopped around and read reviews of all the properties and Reflections had the best and was reasonable cost. We stayed for 4 nights in a one-bedroom apartment. Carmel (the owner) greeted us on arrival and showed us to our room and also walked us through everything within it. She also booked us an excursion which was great on the Lady Douglas. We saw her now and again throughout our stay and was always welcoming. The pool was hardly used so was great to have to ourselves and was great it had an undercover section when was hot (or raining lol) The bed was very comfy, the shower was hot, it was quiet, it was clean, what more do you need. It had a washing machine and tumble dryer so made life a lot easier. It is the perfect location as so close to the beach and it is at the beginning of the shopping and restaurant street. on our last day, we had to check out at 1100 but Carmel gave us towels to use for the pool and even let us go to another room (that hadn't been cleaned yet) to have a shower and get dressed. She helped with our pick-up for the return journey when it was running late to the airport Overall couldn't have wanted more. Have not got a bad word to say about it, apart from a little refurb needed around the pool, but I am struggling to find fault. Thank you, Carmel. Tom and Michiel.

We loved that the kitchen had everything we needed, salt and pepper was a wonderful touch. Comfortable lounge chairs and nice pool. We recommend booking tours through Carmel. Free undercover, secure parking.

It was very quiet and relaxed, we had the pool to ourselves most days, and the location was amazing. Carmel is a fantastic host. I'd definitely recommend for couples looking for a quiet getaway.
• Stephen (10/5): Perfect location in Port Douglas - Such a delight to escape for a few days to Port Douglas. This property is ideally located in the heart of the thriving township and almost adjacent to the beach. The host Carmel was a delight to deal with. We will be coming back.

• AWDW71 (10/5): LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION - Arrived quite late in the day after a long drive. Carmel greeted us with our names & personally showed us around the resort and our unit which after staying at a couple of big hotels was lovely. The unit was large and very spacious. Full kitchen facilities, bed super comfy. Air con most definitely had a workout and worked very well. Resort pool is lovely with sun beds & umbrellas. The resort has undercover parking & easily parked our Ute. A huge plus about this place is the location. Turn left & walk 50 meters you’re at beautiful Port Douglas beach. Turn right & walk 100 meters you’re at the main strip of bars & restaurants. Close enough to enjoy but far enough away to relax. This place is perfect & has everything. Plus you’re a person not a number. Highly recommend.

• Goolwa19 (10/5): Wonderful apartment, perfect location - Fantastic apartment in a perfect location, steps from the beach and a short walk to shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Carmel is the wonderful complex manager who greeted us, gave recommendations and responded to all our questions and requests. We had to reschedule due to ‘you know what’ but Carmel rearranged things with no fuss. Would definitely recommend Reflections. We’ll be back.
• Christian (10/5): Will definately be back - Beautiful 3 bedroom apartment. Very spacious and perfect location between the beach and shops. Pool is partly undercover which is great for kids and gets shade in the afternoon sun so very comfortable in the heat
