Rihards (2/5): Good hotel, but bad management attitude. - Location is good, staff good, beautiful pool. Very tasty restaurant by the pool. Overall I would rate the hotel pretty good, but..... Only one thing that made me a "No Go" to this Hotel for next visit as i am a frequent visitor for Capri. Specifically booked with 50% refund terms. Unfortunately then my doctor called and i had to shorten my trip for one day. On arrival they told me to contact booking.com for this. When Booking asked to refund 50% of the unused last day due to circumstances, the hotel said it was a mistake on booking.com rules and refused to refund as agreed by terms and conditions. Just this one small bad attitude changed the entire stay quality. I am sorry, but if I book by the terms, and pay 800+ euro per night, then there must be some respect to rules, and this was not acceptable to me. I still have some guidance in e-mail from booking.com who was very helpful on this matter, but I don't have time for this. So people, don't believe on whats written in your booking.com app as terms and conditions for refund.

Une très belle chambre, literie parfaite, service en chambre irréprochable, room service également, grande terrasse dans le prolongement. Restaurant hors saison plus réduit probablement qu’en haute saison mais carte très variée et cuisine de grande qualité. Petit déjeuner lui aussi moins pléthorique qu’en saison mais l’essentiel y est dans un cadre magique. Piscine chauffée, terrasse et vue merveilleuse. Il manquait juste de quoi se faire un café ou un thé mais le service en chambre était rapide !

We only had 1 full day to see everything and she made us a map and helped achieve the most unbelievable day on Capri!! sitting on the deck in our room at night was like a fairytale however on the second night the deck adjacent to ours had a man talking on speaker phone for two hours!!!!! So rude and selfish. Anyway the decks have no privacy from hearing other guests . The rooms, linens and pillows are heavenly

Desde que llegamos nos sorprendieron con la actitud, la simplicidad del check out. Todo el personal está enfocado en detalles que siempre sorprenden. Sin dudas el momento del desayuno fue excepcional, a destacar la atención de Tito, pero es igual en excelencia la experiencia de utilizar las piscinas que son preciosas, y la ayuda que nos brindaron en el check out fue increíble, nos organizaron todo de manera excepcional. La vista del hotel, la belleza de las instalaciones, el cerámico de los pisos, la decoración, todo es 11 puntos sobre 10. Estamos muy agradecidos con mi señora de haber pasado nuestro 25 aniversario de casados en La Scalinatella. Y vamos a recomendar este hotel siempre.

Hemken (8/5): Der Gast ist nicht wirklich der König - Tolle Lage, ruhig Die Atmosphäre sehr kühl , wie die Ausstattung….. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück nicht abwechslungsreich. Scheinbar ist viel mehr möglich, wird gar nicht kommuniziert. Das gehobene Personal ist nicht wirklich an den Gästen interessiert

Cole (10/5): The best hotel - I do not like to over-hype things, but this hotel was among my favorite hotels I have stayed at, and my wife and I have stayed at some great properties. From the excellent service to the fantastic pool and hotel design and the quiet location a quick walk away from the main town, Hotel Scalinatella is the place to stay in Capri. Everything is spotless. The staff are kind, attentive, and courteous.

Hotel arranged our departure by purchasing ferry tickets and taking our luggage straight to the ferry. Food and drinks were expensive at the hotel.
Brad (10/5): Memorable stay in Capri. - Scalinatella is located in a beautiful and quiet spot in Capri. The view is AMAZING. Our room was wonderfully appointed. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. Breakfast was top notch. Highly recommend.

hisham (9/5): I will be back for sure - I liked the decor, white building, blue tiles, moorish influences in the external architecture. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. You feel at ease as soon as you step into the property. This was our first visit to Capri and it is the only place i have visited that you have to walk to the property from the taxi drop off point near the square; but walking through the square and narrow streets lined with high end boutiques and shops was nice. We booked two rooms but were upgraded to a two bedroom suite with a huge terrace and stunning views over the Mediterranean. We had a problem with the door to the suite; we had to wrestle with opening it. There was also the matter of no iron or steamer in the room for guest to use to freshen up their clothes and room service ends at 11:30 pm. Minor issues but i hope the management looks into proving steamers or irons in the rooms like many luxury hotels around the world.

First, the photos online are comp - Nothing The property was nothing like the photos shown on Booking. It looked completely different in reality, and the price I paid did not match the quality of what I found. I felt misled—it was all very disappointing.

Jan-hein (8/5): Very nice place, with some strange missings - Staff is amazing, friendly and on it. Location, it's a quite serene place with nice view. The food was amazing. If you are tired or want to reflect? Go here for a day or 3. Capri is a cruiseship on rocks. Not to blame the hotel, but if you want to explore, walk a good distance or spend time on a beach...it's a challenge. In that case ->gym is way to small. I missed an iron on the room so you have to call to a service (20 eu for a dress) I missed a coffeemachine on the room (first time in my travelling life) so you have to call roomservice.

Ekaterina (10/5): Unforgettable memorable excellent perfect stay at the hotel - The hotel has an amazing location where you are close to everything but still in a quiet area. The pool area is beautiful. The views are outstanding. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious comfortable beautifully decorated. We got an upgrade to huge suite with a big terrace and a Jacuzzi. Everything was perfect. Definitely going back and recommending to everybody. The breakfast could have a little bit more choice

Sarah (10/5): - Stayed for a week for our 30th anniversary, having enjoyed Capri in a previous trip, and cant recommend the hotel highly enough! It has the amenities of a large luxury hotel but the feel of an elegant and intimate boutique stay. It has interesting antiques and rooms throughout the facility. Our room was wonderful with a sea view (worth the extra cost) and a large bathroom with beautiful tub. The pool areas are gorgeous. The management generously arranged detailed transit needs, a wonderful car tour in the famous red taxi (Paulo was very entertaining) and restaurant bookings. The front desk and all service was amazing, impeccable and always friendly. The breakfast was excellent and the serve staff were wonderful - Tito and Gennaro were especially sweet. This hotel is 100% worth it!!!

Laurent (6/5): Good and comfortable rooms, staff needs to be more attentive and polite - The room was nice with a beautiful view of the sea. We were not particularly happy with the staff at reception. At this price rate we expected top quality service and that was not met unfortunately. The check-in experience was odd, asking us to wait for our turn in a not so friendly manner. We felt like strangers in the hotel, not as guests.
