- Dorcas (1/5): Do not stay in this hotel! - Room was old, dirty and had a musky smell. Aircon in the rooms were not working. There were worms crawling out of the sink and there was even a dead cockroach in the living room. We checked out on the same day and moved to a better hotel for the same price.

- Lia (5/5): A hotel that can make beautiful pictures that far from reality. - pictures that deceived room is old and unmaintained, halls stinks to sewage. Booked 4 rooms but only 2 were available after checkinyine, the others were at the end of the afternoon. Rooms is not well cleaned, windows on the balcony was so dirty. Swimming pool’s metal edges were broken and almost cuts my foot. Lift brokedown several time due to power outages. Severe fines were reminded when you check in, in the room, it felt so uncustomer friendly. For double room with two people you get only one card, so when you’re out room is off from all electricity. Amenities were not complete, some room has no soap, other no toilet paper, and one was not given towel after being cleaned. the attitude of the employee was not nice, said that stolen. why would we care about old towels?

Special kudos to Dita (front desk) for all of her help and useful information. - The staff was great, always kind and helpful when I had questions or wanted information. Checkin and checkout were quick and easy. My room had all of the amenities I wanted and was larger than most rooms in similar hotels. There was nothing I disliked.

- darwinl146 (2/5): Worst check-in process - The worst check in process i ever had. Coming at 15.30 and the receptionist said room was not ready (2 rooms) (really 1.5 hour to make up room). Female receptionist ask me to wait 10 min, but then she ask me to wait another 15 min, i give her extra 5 min, so total 30 min room not ready yet, another 5 min only 1 room ready. Ask to meet duty manager, but the receptionist said, he is out for lunch without taking his phone then talk to receptionist name fians, to give me some solutions, he just laughing and not even see me when i speak, and he acting like nothing wrong. After i check the room, water heater is dirty, coaster looked they just reused the old one and its dirty, and only have 1 teaspoon for 3 cup of tea ( and the spoon have some stain) just check the photos. Ask again to meet the duty manager, i waiting in my room that dirty and smelly., Just no action from duty manager not even call me or meet me in the room. So far this the worst worst check in process i ever had

Clean, as the average, yet the management should improve chair condition, already rotten due to cigarette ashes of previous guests. Air cond needs cleaning. What s great ? The breakfast and the space!

Breakfast was just okay. Internet stopped working couple of times. Good thing was that the room is spacious and has quite a few drawers.

Gunawangsa Manyar mnjd obyek kita last month, not bad experiences & good images...just only need re improved di rest. Bfast utk outlet omlet kalo bisa LBH visible & mudah utk order omlet. The rest were good.
- imandhar (6/5): Small but ok - This hotel is in the apartment building. There are several floor allocated to be a hotel. So you will meet several apartment residents on the lift. For a solo traveler like me, their room is kinda small but ok. It's just need a few free space and additional window.
- KMChen (6/5): Average hotel with basic equipped - I was not sure the exact rate of this hotel as it is included in our tour package. Location: quite a distance from airport (almost 45 mins) and surrounding with Alfamart/ Indomart. Easy for looking food. This is 3 stars hotel and attached with apartment. Facilities: room condition is lousy and water stain noted on the wall, not well maintained. Only one pair of slipper provided even 2 persons check in. No hair dryer (maybe need to request, as noted the list in the room is with hair dryer provided). Other: breakfast is good enough for 3 stars with local cuisine and western (just a bread with salad). I only stay a night before take the flight on next day. Not really meet my expectation.

Nice ambience, a bit crowded so it means people were noticed this place. Restaurant with city view, nice. Smoking room provided with 1 rooms for karaoke. Rest room was clean and waiters are attentive enough. Nice choice for your breakfasting. Well done ..
- 517tiarad (10/5): Budget hotel for nice breakfast - I stay for 2 nights in this hotel with my family in family room. The room is totally an apartment. so small but equivalent with the price. We get 3 breakfast for the family room and the breakfast is good. But you should have breakfast early or you'll miss the food.
- DavidMichael10 (4/5): You got what you've paid for - Just spent a night at this hotel during my visit at Surabaya with my colleague and I was taken family room with 2 bedrooms. The room actually was not too good even though the air con blew perfectly, the amenities were standard. The couch was dirty with lots of marks at it, quite disgusting actually. The mini bar was completely empty. No bottle opener and the glasses provided were dirty with lots of fingerprints... I got room with broken curtain, so I couldn't open or shut the curtain. Also the window glass was not covered with any sun shade or film so it was quite annoying if you want to stay a little longer with your sleep while the room has been fully bright. The aisle was so noisy, you can hear people open and shut the door loudly. The breakfast was standard. I'm not too excited with the menus provided. My suggestion, if you travelling with kids, I think this place could be one of your choice but there are several places better with almost same price. There will be traffic jam on the road surround the hotel area around 4 - 6pm, so better for you to avoid it.

There is no any towel. when i asked the man in FO, he told that the laundry service was late and they can't make sure what time the towel will come. What a nice service -_- 2. The room cleanliness is very bad. Dufet, pillow case are very bad, maybe they weren't change them. 3. Room maintenance is highly needed. Some furniture and wall are already broken. There are a lot of dust in windows. 4. Bathroom? Don't ask !!! TERRIBLE.
- whitecloudm (4/5): Disgusting - I booked the hotel based on my friend's recommendation, as she lives at the apartment in the same building. During check in, I asked why the deposit is quite big, and the reception staff said, 100,000 for key and 100,000 for mini bar. When I check the fridge, it is empty, so no mini bar at all. When I want to use the toilet, I was surprised to see the yellowish semi-dry liquid on the toilet seat. Oh my!! I do hope the housekeeping manager pay more attention to the hygiene standard. I can't imagine what else might surprise me. If for things you can visually see, you can see how dirty it is, then I can't imagine the hygiene level of the floor, bed sheet, towel, etc. Disgusting. The air con was set to 17 C, but I am sure the room temperature never reach below 25 C. When was the last time the air con was cleaned? I already paid for 3 nights stay. Wish me luck! Ah, there are also nice things about this hotel.. They got cable TV, so you have lots of channel choices. And there are mini market and pharmacy nearby.

The service took time a little bit so long. the room is good but i got smooking room which is the smell is not really good because i dont like the smell of cigarette. but it's worthy enough for the price. thank you anyway.
- iprasetyawan (8/5): Nice cosy sleeper hotel - On short visit to Surabaya for a guest lecturing, I stayed in this hotel and it is considered as a good sleeper place. Room is clean and nice. Dont include breakfast on the booking though, try to explore local cuisine instead.

- Sir_Gaurav (8/5): Economic Stay - The hotel provided an economic stay, we booked a room however, they upgraded us to a suite as the rooms were overbooked. Nice decent place for a two night stay at Surabaya. Has a supermarket in the groundfloor with kitchen in the suite.
- treesiap (8/5): The spiciest breakfast :] - Well I must admit to go here,we have to go deeper in this condotel. And actually u could claim ur free park for ur vehicle...and that's cool! Now i know what's the meaning of : bathroom is TOO small...in every review. And yes it's VERY SMALL. So it's only like 1x1m And the washbasin is outside (there's not enough space) But the room is VERY large. I don't understand the bathroom concept..hmm... For the breakfast...i ate rawon...it's a black traditional meat soup from east java,i love it...and the very surprising moment for me is: there are at least 5 varieties of chili in that breakfast! OMG... But i love chilies so...i'm loving it. The gym is very crowded because they make it combine with the apartment. I have to disappointed my pair of shoes :( The pool is nice but VERY cold perhaps becuase of the weather... Very windy there...

I considered this hotel since it has a room for family (3 person) without any extra bed. This was a hotel on an apartment building. So the family room (deluxe family) was a 2 bedroom apartment, and regular deluxe room might a studio unit. So here are the +'s and -'s : + Located in downtown but not in the center of Surabaya + Fast check-in with IDR200.000 for deposit + The family deluxe room was spacious + Swimmingpool and gym accessed guests for free + Convenient stores, pharmacy, and food stall were on ground floor + Spacious parking lot - Small lobby - Lavatory floor drain was flooded! - Asked room service for cutleries and very slowly delivered

They played with two little boys and let the door open, it seems to be their culture to speak loud and not care others. Every morning we were woken up by apartment residents who live above and below our level. Just for your info Kunawangsa is a big apartment. There are 3 buildings connected to each other. Only level 16 to 20 are hotel rooms. If you want to stay here . Be prepare to unexpected noises. For staffs. 99% cannot communicate in English but they are friendly. Room and facilities are good and comfortable, clean . There are no restaurants nearby. For meal beside hotel you must take taxi to find restaurant in close by area. There are plants of taxis around but must be ready to not get exchange. Prepare small notes to pay. Taxi driver cannot speak english either so write down your name isf destination including road name to show them. There are few Kunawangsa property in town. Breakfast is bored,

- Max (6/5): 50,000 IDR for a broken soap dish! - Overall is a good stay with good price, except for the bathroom is a bit small. What upset me was the soap dish in the bathroom. It was made of glass and not fixed onto the wall. While showering in the cramp bathroom, my elbow knocked over the soap dish and broke it into pieces. Luckily I did not hurt myself and asked the maintenance to clean it up. While checking out, I was told to pay 50,000IDR for the soap dish. That is way overpriced and it is not entirely my fault. I will think that this is a safety hazard the the hotel should be responsible.

The bathroom was too small, smaller than singapore hotel w.c.'s! Food quality and selection was quite good. The staff really tried. However, at check-in they had no idea how to find or process my prepaid hotels.com reservation. This took at least 20 minutes (at late night). It seems no one has ever made an online booking there before. That was an inexcusable disaster.
