- Lizzie (10/5): Stunning lakeside retreat with luxurious rooms and incredible artwork. - Beautiful home which has been sympathetically built and furnished in harmony with the local environment. The most incredible house we have stayed in with amazing views of the lake and surrounding forests. Gordon and Phil were thoughtful and very accommodating hosts who ensured we had a restorative and memorable stay. Their cook Joanne is also lovely and made delicious breakfasts and dinners. Perfection.

- Alexandra (10/5): Relaxing getaway in beautiful surroundings - This was an amazing place to relax. It was so peaceful and the surroundings are stunning. The property is also beautiful, very tasteful and clean. Gordon was a perfect host and we were very lucky that we were the only guests there. Beware that there are quite a lot of stairs to get to the 2 suites downstairs (I'm guessing around 15-20) plus stairs to get to the house from where you leave the car. Therefore, if you have a lot of luggage or mobility problems this is a potential issue. The breakfasts were delicious and we had one dinner cooked by Joanne who is a lovely lady and a very good cook! It is worth investigating where else to eat as all the restaurants are min 10 minute drive away. We can recommend Olynicks Poissonierie in Saint Sauveur which was first class (30m drive).

Des repas excellents préparés par empressement par Joanne, un service chaleureux! Sans oublié la présence de Gordon et ses œuvres magnifiques! Petit Manque de confort entravant la pleine appréciation de ce site magnifique (fraîcheur notable au pied des fenêtres, les superbes foyers sous utilisés).

One thing that makes this place unique is the care and dedication that the chef, Jocelyn(sp), brings to the table. Her breakfasts and dinners are so delicious and always served with a big smile. Our host, Gordon, shared his lovely home and art gallery with us, which added a lovely touch to our stay. The only criticism we would have is that, in order to get to our accommodation, one must be able to go down and climb back up a serious set of stone steps. It was quite difficult for my husband as he must carry a portable oxygen unit with him . However, I am used to doing the heavy work, and Gordon and Jocelyn helped us carry our gear. This is the right time of the year to go there as the autumn colours are so very unique and breathtaking.

One suggestion, add curtains in the room on top of the atelier. In addition, probably a coffeemaker might be included in that room. It’s a wonderful place and Gordon is a very charming hostess.

Stunning decor, (Gord's artwork is amazing) caring hospitality, delicious food, comfortable luxurious accomodations with spectacular views of the lake...would go back again and again. Not enough stars for this luxurious and immaculate "piece of heaven".. We had an amazing time. Bought a a very special painting from the artist's latest collection so we have beautiful memories of our time there Surpassed all expectations.
