• Backert (3/5): Probably won't do it again unless we really have to. - It was affordable and the bar downstairs is nice. The mattresses are ok. The rooms are too small for the number of beds. There is no space on the floor to leave our stuff, especially since we can not put them in the lockers (even if you think your locker is closing the box, it is bullshit because you can just push it open...). Two working toilets for the all the rooms is not enough. Some showers were missing the shower head. Also, the shared toilets and showers were not clean. Free Wifi is a lie, since you need to reconnect constantly. Finally, even if it is nice to propose breakfast, it is not really one.

• Mariah (1/5): I will not be coming back. - Camden Town is in a coinvent location for the three train stations of Euston, St. Pancras and Kings Cross. The breakfast, though simple, was enough to fill you up if you could make their limited hours. It was pretty quiet in the rooms. Stay Away. This place is under construction and should not be open. It used to be a St. Christopher's Inn and they are trying to renovate while still having people there. The water in the sink was only scalding hot which sufficed to sanitize your toothbrush but not much else. We ran out of toilet paper in multiple bathrooms, and they only replaced it in one. There are QR codes for bathroom cleaning, but that is still going to the St. Christopher website. There is no lounge space and if you wake up before breakfast starts at 8 AM there is nowhere to sit. There is no evidence the rooms are ever cleaned. We stayed in lots of hostels in 3 weeks and this was the unanimous bottom.

• Gaskell Quakers (4/5): Sketchy AF but Cheap and Well Located - For the most part the staff were great, and the location in Camden is excellent. The whole hostel access and rooms are pretty shocking. Bare plaster walls, construction stuff everywhere, and incredibly poor signage...I thought at first I'd accidentally accessed the wrong building. The rooms are sweaty and the bunks aren't great...they have sharp slats on the bottom bunks that cut your head if youre not careful and the top bunks have no where to put anything and the "cage lockers" under the bed are dirty, old and difficult to use. Also please remember to take your own lock as one is not provided, also if you have no photo id you will have your stay cancelled. ALSO Please note that "Room 2 Bunk 1" has a massive bright emergency light right above the pillow on the top bunk. Take an eye mask if you get this bed.

• Jacky Chan (5/5): Staff sympa mais logement moyen sans plus - Très proche de Camden Market, de plein de commerces et accessible depuis King Cross à pied. Le check-in termine à la fermeture du bar par contre, ce qui peut être compliqué pour une auberge. Prise UK et EU sur chaque lit. Petit-déjeuner sucré très correct. C'est un bâtiment ancien, les fenêtres ferment mal et n'ont pas de rideau. Vraiment pas terrible pour le bruit surtout qu'il y a du passage dans l'avenue principale où donnait la chambre. 2 douches pour tout l'immeuble, y'a vraiment la queue le matin. Les personnes fument dans le couloir, ça pue le manque de respect.

I think, it didn't meet my expectations, also they provided a different room, although I paid for a different room, I even wrote them emails to correct it, but it didn't work out. Booking went wrong, the first guy who works there, put me in a wrong room, although I paid for a different bed settings, I mentioned him the emails and everything, he didn't cooperate, although I was asked to raise the concern with booking.com. Area was also a bit dodgy, hostel and area didn't give a friendly vibe to backpackers and solo travellers.

Só tem um banheiro para banho dentro do quarto e a água do chuveiro sai toda sem direção e fria. As Toalhas são pagas (3 libras) Os banheiros para as "necessidades" estavam quase sempre sujos, e como não tem ventilação, com mau cheiro. Os armários mesmo com cadeados, da para abrir. (ATENÇÃO) O hostel é ligado a um Bar, o acesso é por dentro desse bar, e a noite faz barulho nos quartos até às 2h da manhã.

• Elena (2/5): Never going back there - People in my dorm where probably living there since a while. A lot of food and cutlery all over a corner on a chair. A woman was extremely loud and rude, like if the room was hers, I was scared to tell her to be quiter. Room not clean, plate around and food. In the living room the roof was leaking. Also at breakfast did not feel comfortable. Camden Town is not safe, my friend got his backpack stole cross the road to the hostel.
• Asja (5/5): - I liked the position a lot, near a lot of bus stops and underground; the staff was kind and available. I liked that the pub underneath the hostel was cosy and fun and a joyful addition to the experience. I was in a 12 mixed bedroom and the space among the floors was very very low, I had almost no room to even stay sit. The matress was so thin that I woke up with head-ache and back-ache; furthermore, there was a lot of dirt under it, receipts, dust and various stuff... For the time I stayed there, I often had warm water but never hot.

Left after 2 days. - Location NO HOT WATER!!! the guy at the reception told me “I’ll check it by you should know that the water here are never very hot” 🤬 The bathroom is tiny and there is no space to put clothes. The one hook on the door was broken. The towels for rent are very small, even though they told me they have “huge” towels. The toilet door doesn’t have a handle so it doesn’t close, I had to hold the door with my leg every time. The curtains doesn’t cover the whole window so you wake up with the sunrise. Breakfast is very poor - bread, 2 types of cereal, jam, canned fruits and spoiled cheese. They told me breakfast is 8-10, but when I got at 9:20 there was almost nothing left to eat. The heating in the room doesn’t work well. The under bed compartment is basically a cage with large holes so even if you lock it - someone can take stuff throughout the big holes. And when you complain they don’t answer Bookings’ mails for already 3 weeks!! I left after 2 days (was suppose to be there a month) and they still didn’t respond to booking since march 29th!! Took the money and now they ignore.

• Vannia (10/5): - Location is great, there's a bus stop nearby, even if it's a little far from the centre this is stull pretty great. The bar has personality and it feels very welcoming. The room was clean, there's curtains in each bed and sinks for everyone to use. There was only one shower (not bad tho) and i think the metro makes a bit of noise but is nothing terrible!

• carbonell (1/5): ASQUEROSO, TERRORÍFICO Y ETERNO. - La ubicación está relativamente bien situada. El desayuno no estuvo mal, pero muy repetitivo y con poca variedad. El agua sale caliente. No mucho más.... Solo entrar te das cuenta del terrorífico sitio que te estás metiendo, lo principal que ves es gente completamente inconsciente por alcohol y drogas, además del terrible olor a marihuana que hay siempre, más aun cuando compartes habitación con alguien que la consume aunque ponga "espacio sin humos". La limpieza es algo totalmente desconocido en este "albergue", por las mañanas viene un simpático hombre a darle dos chufs chufs al espejo, dos más a la pila de lavamanos y dos al suelo de la ducha, pero durante los 5 días que hemos estado nosotras no han cambiado sábanas de ninguna cama, la misma tirita sucia seguía en el mismo sitio, la basura llena y el lavamanos con las mismas manchas y mocos que el primer día, todo sin limpiar, además de la mucha peste que eso producía. Para colmo, para comprobar que no cambiaban ni revisaban las camas ni las habitaciones, una de nuestras camas tenia unos calcetines tiesos y duros usados, que claramente se veía que eran de llevar mucho tiempo ahí del anterior nómada. El radiador de la habitación estaba tupido de polvo, igual que el suelo, el que era imposible andar sin zapatos, mucho menos sin calcetines. La gente que se hospeda en este "albergue" es gente que produce un ambiente muy siniestro, haciendo la convivencia con los demás nómadas de la habitación muy incómoda, al igual con los trabajadores, que ni una sonrisa por las mañanas. Las habitaciones tienen 6 taquillas para 9 camas, es decir, para 9 personas que entran en la habitación, por lo tanto, nosotras, por ejemplo, teníamos que dejar nuestras pertenencias encima de la cama, ya que además de ser pequeñas las taquillas estaban ocupadas y eran muy pequeñas, habiendo cabidad únicamente para un bolso o mochilita pequeña. Lo que más nos sorprendió es que siempre tenían las camas llenas, pero todos los que entran se quedan asombrados con lo que se ve y hay. Y ni hablar del asqueroso olor de baños y general.

• Cauê (5/5): - The hostel is okay! For the price, it's worth it, as long as you're used to some problems. I'm not one to complain, I've been staying in hostels for over 20 years, but this one urgently needs an owner or manager. The Booking.com photos show a fully equipped kitchen and amenities that don't exist in the hostel. The room felt like a sauna, very hot and without ventilation. One of the toilets near our room was out of order and the other was clogged, overflowing with water/waste. In the shower, only the hot water worked (very hot) and the other door didn't lock. The internet had to be disconnected and reconnected every 15 minutes. There was a beer promotion poster in the rooms, but when you went to the hostel bar, they said the promotion was over. Aside from a few other details... the hostel is good, worth it if you want to save as much as possible, but they definitely need to pay more attention!

• Florencia Belen (1/5): - Nothing, everything is noisy and dirty, so I had to book a bed in another hostel. Everything is dirty and the bedroom has not ventilated, a disaster. If you are a girl, I truly recommend don’t book a room here, mixed room overall.

• ShivaPillai (8/5): Super comfy bed and good breakfast (but always carry ear buds) - Once I managed to get into the top bunk that was assigned to me, the bed itself was extremely comfy with clean sheets, pillow and duvet. Socket right next to the bed (with USB) along with a reading lamp was a nice bonus. I was able to charge my laptop and the phone at the same time. Free Continental breakfast (that was buffet style) was excellent. Overall the cleanliness was pretty good in the rooms, but the communal areas was a bit messy. No fault of the hostel though as it appeared some guests don't have common decency to throw away rubbish in bins. Some left their take away boxes on the window sill Not all triple bunk beds have the stairs to get to the top bunk. Unfortunately, the one assigned to me didn't, so it was a bit of a struggle to get to the top (especially in the middle of the night, when I had to use the loo). A lesson learnt again to always carry a pair of ear buds. A gentleman happened to be an addict of relentless snoring - the whole night (different variations of snoring too). To make matters worst he was in the bunk just below mine. My top bunk was almost vibrating with the intensity of the snore. So it was a bit of a struggle to get decent night's sleep. only 2 toilets were functional. Hope this gets fixed soon as it would have been a struggle if I didn't have an early start.
• Stafford (7/5): Exceptional value in a perfect location - Didnt stay for breakfast Location truly excellent Booking in time could be much earlier as no need to view room given it’s only a dormer room
• Akeem (1/5): I suggest they complete the renovation before allowing guests into the building - They are renovating the building, yet they took money from guests causing serious discomfort. At a time the kitchen was locked and there was no access. This is completely unfair. The noise on the ground floor too is too loud.
• Cath (1/5): Very disappointed never stayed gave keys back had to find and pay for another hotel - Location Room small smelly no tv no kettle. To get to room had to walk through a building site plaster cement on stairs building material lying around. We’re never informed off this.
• michel (7/5): Leuke tijd gehad, aangename kamergenoten. - De ligging van de herberg ligt dicht bij allerlei faciliteiten. Het personnel was heel vriendelijk was. De wc en douce cabinet waren proper. Bedden ook, heb goed kunnen slapen. Er mag een handvat geplaatst worden bij de deur van de douche kabine om die van buiten uit dicht gemaakt wordt. Bij het verlaten van de kamer vond ik afval van een vorige slaper, plus de vloer mag regelmatiger stofvrij gemaakt worden.het ontbijt viel een beetje tegen 2 van de 3 dagen was er geen bruin brood. Meusli mag ook bij het ontbijt.

• Maelle (7/5): Correct pour le prix - Localisation, rideaux autour du lit pour plus d’intimité, prise européenne et usb individuelle, petit déjeuner (bien que très basique), personnel sympa En travaux, pas de partie commune autre que le bar, matelas ayant vécu (creux visible même sans y être), casier uniquement compatible avec cadena très épais, pas de verrou sur la porte des toilettes (dortoir N6), eau bouillante uniquement au lavabo
• Teci Pulido (9/5): Highly recommended :) - I really love the mini-curtains giving privacy to each backpacker. Wide bed space, it didn't feel cramped even though there were 9 of us in one room. Very convenient location, near the bus and tube and in the midst of restaurants/pubs, markets/groceries and laundromats. Free wifi and breakfast too. Really great value for my money. It was "hidden" inside a pub so a bit of a challenge to find... The basement and stairwells seemed to be abandoned / under construction.. But these are just minor issues.
• James (8/5): This is a good hostel with a dynamic atmosphere. - Good breakfast, nice touch with milk alternatives Better cooking facilities even if basic.
• Nydia (5/5): It’s cheap so you get that. But I wouldn’t stay if you’re a female traveling solo. - Good location, close to tons of bars and restaurants. Place is under construction at the moment, bathrooms were never cleaned the entire time I was there.

• Sami (3/5): - The staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was quite frankly just awful. We paid for a private room with a private bathroom and despite the cheap price, it was very dirty. There was no effort to have cleaned the room, thick clumps of dust on the floor (our feet were black within 20 mins of being in the room) and the shower was dirty so we didn't use it. Some of the tiles had fallen off in the bathroom and the toilet seat was also hanging off. The base of the lamp was broken in half but it still worked. The bed wasn’t too bad and as we were only in the room for about 5 hours total, it didn’t matter too much to us but don’t expect much if you stay here. It is however walking distance to St Pancras station for the Eurostar which is why we stayed here.
• Hellen (8/5): - A localização é maravilhosa! No coração de Camdem, próximo de tudo que você pode querer. Fácil acesso de transporte público. O hostel é exatamente como ele mostra nas fotos e se propõe a ser. Tudo é muito limpo e organizado. A equipe é extremanente atenciosa e disponível, ajudando com todas as dúvidas. O banheiro era pequeno e o jato extremamente forte, não de um jeito bom. Mas é algo que passa batido levado em consideração toda a experiência.
