- Greg (4/5): if u really need a sleep - Located in a great spot overlooking the ocean, pleasant listening to the waves, awesome views in the early morning living area were clean OK for a cheap quick stay on the run. Looks a little ran down from the outside. Rotting front steps to entrance to stairs. Stairs have a very small step and somewhat steep to access upstairs. Walkway to rooms were covered in Mats which suggested its very damp. Bed was hard but pillows were sensational. Bathroom mirrors had not been cleaned since last visitors. No breakfast available which would have been wonderful. No milk box in fridhe but coffee suger ect supplied so it was an easy morning run to the main street IGA.

- Julie (9/5): The perfect named Motel in a quiet location. - It’s in a quiet location with a short walk to the main strip. The view is the best especially from the first floor rooms. Friendly owners and although the room we were in wasn’t large it was still comfortable. Sadly the coastal weather is harsh and it shows throughout the property. However don’t be put off as the people who run it do their best. No Microwave just a toaster in the room.

Excellent value for money. Short walking distance to the main strip and they weren’t lying in the name about it being Ocean View. Only thing I could say as constructive feedback instead of negative feedback is that the premises could use a renovation, its showing it’s age a little.

As a suggestion having the outside space to enjoy is brilliant, having a few outdoor chairs for use would elevate the experience and enjoyment.

The building is not new, but it's very comfortable and has everything you need for a few nights' stay. The car park is right outside the door. There are no downsides except that some other people might smoke on their veranda and the smoke will come into my room.

- Victoria (9/5): A lovely beachside stay - We had a lovely view from our balcony on the 1st floor. The room was very airy and light. The staff were very he;pful and friendly. You could easily walk into town from the hotel, it was not far. The shower leaked out of the cubicle and a couple of the light bulbs were out. But I told the lady on reception and she thanked us for letting her know and said they would fix them at our earliest convenience. So not really negative at all!

Patio nice but we took our own chairs, none provided, which in owners defence they did call us to let us know we had left one behind when we departed so we returned to get. Room was clean BUT that is where it stopped. Where do I start. ROOM 6 Firstly rang motel to say we would be earlier than 4.30pm the phone stated they don't answer unknown numbers too bad if we were cancelling. Then the stairs on photo 1/22 and above are totally different to what is now there, see 7/22. I have mobility issues but usually can handle few steps providing hand railings are suitable. THEY are NOT, there is no railings from first landing to onto patio where entrance to room is so very deceiving. Luckily my husband was with me to help which was needed. A laminated notice read that the rooms would not be cleaned due to "COVID rules" and only if desperately required due to them not allowed in room whilst people occupying, therefore ask for towels or shower stuff or coffee etc at office. When we stay at places for more than two days we usually tell staff just leave room fill up coffees etc and perhaps change towels IT is 2026 and we have NEVER had a sign stating this since 2022 and at least give the guests where to find this LAW /Regulation as I searched internet and I beg to differ this information. Since there was no microwave and "no cooking in room" BUT there was toaster But no plates etc we asked the owners on the second day could they reheat our takeaway. We were told due to the "Health Act NO ' No going "above and beyond "especially for people staying longer than a night, ok, fair to say one rule for all but really we were there for 4 nights. The room itself needed a good total paint job and repairs to room were crude in the workmanship Lastly out of four days only two gave us warm to hot water in shower. When mentioned about the cold water owner said "oh I will check" this was in afternoon, the second time was day we were leaving his reply "oh really" HELLO !! for gawd sake take some interest, this place is lacking in love and enthusiastic owners.

Wooden steps starting; to rot and some bits were a bit wobbly.

The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The shower was one of the best! And the towels were super soft. I was thinking it was actually on the beach… but the beach is just across the road!

- Melanie (8/5): Schönes großes Zimmer - toller Ausblick - Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und der Ausblick auf das Meer war herrlich. Leider war es etwas kalt und windig, daher konnten wir den Balkon nicht nutzen. Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Tassen, Gläser, alles vorhanden. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Lage ist spitze, ein kurzer Fußweg um in den Ort zu kommen und nur ein paar Autominuten vom Beginn des Great Ocean Walk entfernt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit und gaben uns einige Tipps für unsere weitere Reise. Die Dusche war undicht, wenn man etwas länger duschte stand das Badezimmer unter Wasser. Auch das Waschbecken war nicht fest genug montiert, dass konnte man hin und herschieben.

It was clean when we arrive the next day when we spend first night no one came to clean the room and change the towels and also there was no microwave at all

When booking, photos of the motel made it look closer to the beach. There was a main road and then a creek between the motel and beach. The rooms and property are fairly run down with very little maintenance being done.
