- Stuart (10/5): Perfect relaxing stay - Overall great place very relaxing the room was lovely and the jet bath was better then the outdoor hot tubs we normally get. Couple of pubs close by which were great so overall I can't fault it. Breakfast was great if you like continental which I do loads of options. Me and my wife have booked again for December and will be booking again for next year's anniversary. Staff also great and friendly.

- Yuk Ki (10/5): - I had a truly wonderful stay at St Hilda’s Boutique Hotel. The environment was absolutely perfect – quiet, peaceful and very comfortable. The room itself was beautifully presented, and the jacuzzi bath was outstanding – after a long day, it was the perfect way to relax both body and mind. The staff were excellent – genuinely friendly, very helpful, and explained everything clearly. Their warm attitude really made me feel welcome. Breakfast was also very enjoyable; while there weren’t many hot dishes, the quality was good and the overall selection was a pleasant surprise. My only regret is that I stayed for just one night – it really wasn’t enough to enjoy everything this place has to offer. Next time, I will definitely stay longer. Highly recommended!
- Stephen (10/5): Great Village Hotel right on the Cleveland Way - What a great find this was. Great location, great themed room. ( We stayed in the Paris Room). Only a short walk to the local village and right on the Cleveland Way walk, which is what brought us to this area. We were well looked after by Deb and the rest of the staff. Breakfast included was a great start to the day for our walks. Don’t stay in Whitby .. Stay here !!

- Georgia (10/5): Amazing romantic getaway - We have just arrived back home from the most amazing stay at St Hilda's. We stayed in the Cairo room and the pictures do not do it justice it was just beautiful, the attention to detail is amazing. The bed was extremly comfy, we had such a lovely restful nights sleep. The room was absolutely spotless as well and has a really detailed information booklet with places to eat and drink, taxis and takeaways in it which was really handy. The lady that check us in was so friendly and made us feel really comfortable and was more than happy to answer any of our questions. The continental breakfast was really good, there were so many options to choose from and you can fill a tray and take it up to your room if you wanted to as well. We will definitely be back! Thanks for such an amazing nights getaway

- Verified traveler (10/5): Relaxing luxury - Wonderful stay, definitely recommend this hidden gem. The room was spotlessly clean. The jacuzzi bath was huge plenty of room for 2, truly relaxing. The shower was perfect. Our room had an outdoor seating area which was perfect to sit out with wine and nibbles. An ice machine was available so you could fill your own ice bucket, there was a wine chiller in the room which was useful. Everything in this place was brilliant making for a peaceful, laid back luxury break.

- MARTYN (10/5): Thumbs up - A very enjoyable stay at St Hilda's Boutique to celebrate our aniversary. We were treated to a free bottle of prosecco on arrival by the host which was a really nice and kind touch. We stayed in the Marrakesh suite which was really swanky, and has a huge jacuzzi bath. The host was extremely friendly and helpfuland we couldn't have asked for more.

Beautiful room and setting, with easy access to private parking and just a few mins walk to public transport links. Lovely continental breakfast taken in the courtyard just outside our room.Will definitely return and experience a different themed room.

Not forgetting Dora the adorableCockerpoo...If your thinking of holidaying near Staithes/runswick Bay / Sandsend /Whitby this is the place you need to say....oh and the lemon muffins at breakfast are to die for..The bus stop is 30 seconds away were it costs £3 to go anywhere ..

- Shawn (10/5): - I stayed in the Marrakech room for one night, it's amazing with a huge (2 person) spa bath in the enormous bathroom upstairs. The bath was so relaxing after a stressful few weeks. Check in and check out was smooth and the staff were brilliant. The Marrakech theme runs throughout the property, with other themed rooms reflecting cities around the world. I'm thinking about Paris next time, and no need for passports! The continental breakfast, with was excellent, was served in the main house with the option of taking it across the courtyard to the room. St Hilda's would be ideal for a romantic few nights away, or to pamper yourself alone. And did I mention bath? It's soooo relaxing😁

- Miles (10/5): - My room (Cape town) was great the theme was fun. More a couple orientated room as no shower but a great jacuzzi bath. The grounds do have family orientated rooms. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was ok just simple continental stuff. The grounds themselves really nice, clean and maintained. 7 odd miles from Whitby about 20 mins cab journey but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. I will definitely be staying again. I think it was good value for money.

- Nicola (10/5): - Lovely hotel,gorgeous room,we stayed in Las Vegas and this room was so big and airy. Debbie was so helpful and approachable,she helped with everything including bus tine-tables. Only 15 mins to whitby but Hinderwell was a lovely village if you wanted to stay local, a few pubs in the village. There is a bus stop that runs direct to whitby every half hour,this is directly outside the hotel. The cottages and barns looked gorgeous and I will most definitely return again in summer months. Breakfast was also lovely,so many options for continental. Again Debbie was welcoming and helpful at breakfast. Thankyou for the lovely stay .

- Katie (10/5): Incredible find - Magical! We arrived late and had everything we needed Debbie and Kathy had contacted me before arrival to ensure all instructions and everything was in place! We arrived parked up and let ourselves in using the key safe. We had the best night in the room! Honestly it was clean, warm and beautiful. We had a lovely night sleep woke up and went for breakfast. The two staff we met Debbie and Kathy were so lovely! Warm welcoming and full of tips on how to spend our day! Once checked out Kathy kindly let me have a peek at all the themed rooms inside they were incredible. Also we got a reward card so we can collect stamps each visit for rewards. We can not wait to come back! Stayed in the Reykjavík room next is absolutely Cairo! The staff at this place make the stay the rooms are incredible but the warmth and friendliness made me definitely want to return! We shall see you guys again in May!

- Jacqueline (4/5): Over rated - This is advertised as a boutique hotel, perhaps only due to the themed rooms. The price of the room was very excessive in terms of value for money. We stayed in the Cairo room. It was quite shabby, uncomfortable furniture and the mattress on the bed was so uncomfortable. Not due to ‘personal preference’ of a mattress, but due to it being poor quality - it was like sleeping on a bed of rock. Due to this we didn’t sleep well and left at 6 am in the morning. Really disappointed as not at all as advertised.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely relaxing, romantic place to stay - We really enjoyed our stay in Marrakech at St Hilda's boutique. I think we would visit again. The staff were very friendly. It was a little tricky finding the carpark but Debbie on reception was very helpful explaining it once we had arrived. The accommodation is one of several around a nice courtyard/garden. I was slightly surprised that you walk straight from the courtyard to the bed but the curtains were thick and darkening which was good. Unfortunately a few of the cushions had a few very questionable marks/stains on which did make me query the cleanliness, a couple of hairs in the jacuzzi bath also led me to go and buy some wipes! Otherwise was mostly clean except for a few cobwebs. The jacuzzi bath was brilliant, amazing temperature. Dangerous if you have poor mobility as you have to support yourself in and out and it gets very slippery but the provided bath mat, slippers and robes was a lovely extra. Fridge in room with bottled water, kettle with teabags coffee and hot chocolate sachets, with nice biscuits too all added that extra element of luxury. Also provided champagne glasses and ice! It's very nicely themed and decorated which we enjoyed. Nice breakfast in the morning (breads, pastries, fruit, yogurts, bagels) served on the courtyard in the sun (very lucky!) It was lovely and quiet, with only bird song to be heard. The room was very warm through the night, but A/C is in the bedroom area which helped! All in all, a very good stay and very relaxing.

Debbie the host was so friendly she made you feel comfortable as soon as you arrived and give good recommendations about where to go for food and things, breakfast was lovely to lots of choice. Bus stop immediately outside with bus every 30 mins to Whitby. The lady running it was lovely and couldn’t do enough. Continental breakfast excellent(and normally I’m not a big lover). A short bus ride into Whitby from the end of the road is ideal and a five minute walk to the local pub the Badger & Hounds where you receive a warm welcome & the food is wonderful. Debbie our host was lovely, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. A good continental breakfast is available each morning, with plenty of choice. My husband & I stayed in the Marrakesh room, with the most stunning, huge whirlpool bath, a real treat! All in all a wonderful break away, would highly recommend👌

We stayed in the Reykjavik room which was spacious and clean. The spa bath and steam shower were good selling points. Comfy bed.
- Nicola (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at St Hildas! My husband and I stayed in the Marrakesh accommodation. It was clean and well presented. The jacuzzi bath was a real treat. It was a little awkward to get to the taps to get it running and to get in and out of, but it was worth the effort. All the staff were great and couldn't do enough to help. We arrived late afternoon on a very wet sunday. We had tried a couple of places on the way for lunch, but everywhere was booked. The owner shared some of the local spots and we nanaged to get a table. Breakfast was good, a wide choice of items for a continental style breakfast. However, if you are gluten free, this limits you to fruit and yogurt. Soya milk is avalable in little sachets for those who are dairy free and enjoy a cuppa. I share this only for information, not to complain. We would love to visit again!

Debbie the manager could not have been more helpful and gave us a full talk the surrounding areas and places to visit. Debbie makes herself readily available with her details in the welcome pack alongside other useful information. The hotel itself is ideally positioned for travel to the main coastal tourist towns however the village itself is charming with tea rooms and a lovely pub to keep you busy.

- L (10/5): What a gem ! - OMG what a fabulous place. There are a number of rooms all city themed. I stayed in the Junior Suite which was split into two floors. Downstairs consisted of a huge bed, a beautiful sofa, a dressing table, a wardrobe, bathrobes and the plasma TV. It also had a table with an ice bucket and 2 glasses. The fridge had 2 bottles of water stored. Upstairs there was an enormous jacuzzi bath, a huge steam shower etc. It was absolutely glorious. The service could not have been friendlier. The breakfast was continental and the option of having it in your room or eating at the main house was offered. The selection was lovely and fresh. I will be definitely be back.
