- IVAN (10/5): - Our favorite stay out of our entire trip. The amenities from this hotel was marvelous. Free drink evening drink was something to look forward to always. Didn't use our bathtub once because we used the public bath every single night - equipped with a hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and showers. Best way to relax after a long day. Rooms were comfortable, clean, well maintained, good lighting. Staff were very helpful. There was a luggage delivery service with this hotel for a fee. Kujo station was just beside the entrance, bus stop to Gion = easy access, 10 min walk to Kyoto station. Would come again.

- nel (2/5): - It is closer to Aeon mell by 13 minutes walk. The downside is that room are dirty the smallest refrigerator that is not working while is 40 degrees hot.our water bottles stayed warm and our food gonna spoiled. Clean the every 3days no Flatiron the Landry room on the 4th floor all of them was broken. I put my clothes for 2 hours didn't dried out. I hade to hang them out for two days in the room to get them dry. Just horrible š

- Robert (8/5): - Sakura Terrace is well located within a short distance of Kyoto station and a subway entry right outside the entrance. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The only downsude is the small size of the rooms.
- Ying (6/5): - Location - itās close to Kyoto station (about 10 mins walk, but any walk more than 3 mins is painful after a long day of sightseeing), has a subway entrance and a few bus stops right outside of the door, but none of them are the major lines, you still need to make quite a bit transitions to get to the attractions. Thereās an electronics outlet across the street, not any nice cafe/restaurants around. The street looks more industrial, not appealing at all. If you are looking for a nice place close to Kyoto Station, Iād suggest to look into the opposite side of the station. Facilities - outdated but still clean. the room is more spacious than the other hotels we stayed in Japan. The lobby area is nice, but the couches and chair cushions look very old and soggy. You can have free alcohol/non-alcohol drinks in the evenings, but selection is very limited. I didnāt buy hotel breakfast, but since thereās no nice cafe nearby, I tried several times to buy breakfast for the next mornings, all sold out. Lastly, the noise from the streets is pretty bad. You will go to bed with the beeping sound for pedestrian crossing streets all night.
- ray (10/5): - The room is spacious by Japanese standard, it is about 10 minutes walk from Kyoto station south entry. There are many options for breakfast, and there is a free welcome drink every night and live music. The staffs are very friendly. It is a very enjoyable stay.

- Tatiana (10/5): - Large and comfortable room, friendly staff, walking distance from a Kyoto train station. The hotel offers free coffee/tea from 10 PM to 11 PM and free drinks in the evenings with live entertainment. Separate male and female free large hot baths are open until 1 AM. The internet in my room was not working properly, so I was offered a free device to connect to the internet differently.

- Anthony (10/5): Sakura Terrace - Easy check in and check out along with good service. Free drink at night and coffee/tea in the morning. Comfy and roomy accomodations close to Kyoto station and Kujo station deposits you right outside hotel. Has a washer and dryer ylu can use for free. Only remotely negative thing was that the wifi was a little slow and very slow during peak times.
- Mustapha (10/5): - This place was excellent. Price was amazing for a great room and great service. Couldnāt recommend the breakfast more! The area south of the station isnāt as active as north of the station, but this is worthwhile sacrifice to save.
- E (10/5): - This hotel is only less than 10 minutes walk to Kyoto Station, which many activities (event bus pickup), transportation to airport, or subway near. Staffs are very friendly and kind. Room was not too big not too small. We are glad that we chose this hotel. If we have chance, we would stay longer!
- Jane Louise (6/5): - The property needs updating. The bedding and towels are very clean but the floorings and furnishings especially in the hallways need a refresh. The complimentary drink at night was great as was the complimentary laundry. Not all the staff were friendly. Close to the station but not a lot to do around the hotel.
- Ryan (4/5): No common sense from some staff - Overall the stay was okay - small room but it is Japan. Most of the staff were great but one morning I experienced ridiculous customer service. I wanted to make a tea at 9:40am but was told I had to wait until 10am as breakfast was still going. I asked if I could simply make a tea and drink it elsewhere, or have the staff member make it for me (pour hot water into a mug & add tea bag) but was told I had to wait until 10am for breakfast to finish. I thought this in itself was poor customer service and demonstrated a lack of common sense with the prioritisation of rigid rules over common sense. So I sat down and waited. 5 minutes later another guest wanted to make a coffee and experienced another staff member stop her, much like I had been stopped. She was advised the same as me; she had to wait until 10am. Okay - fair enough right? This is where it gets ridiculous - she advised she had paid for the breakfast and already eaten - before returning to her room to get ready for a meeting. She only wanted a coffee before leaving but was told she would have to pay for the coffee, even though she had paid for breakfast. The morning staff here have no common sense and do not care about customer service - they only know how to follow rigid rules and are incapable of thinking for themselves. I now know several customers who will never stay here again.

- Anthony (10/5): - This is the third time we have stayed here. There are free hot drinks available after 10am to 11pm. A free alcoholic drink is available in the evening. The Onsen is open until 1am. Good location only 10mins walk from the station and a subway stop outside the hotel.

- Jessica (10/5): - We really enjoyed our 3-night stay at Sakura Terrace. The room was very comfortable and much bigger than similar options in different hotels. The hotel is well positioned, walking distance from the train station and close to public transportation. The only small remark is that the WiFi was not properly functioning in the room (8th floor), but in the lobby area it was okay.

- Alex (10/5): - I've stayed at this location twice now during my travels to Japan and both times it has been amazing! The rooms are nice and comfortable. I like that it is a very short walk from the main shinkansen Kyoto station. There's also an entrance to a train station right outside the hotel. Multiple conbinis nearby. They offer a daily welcome drink which is nice! The breakfast is really good too! The lobby is so relaxing and has live musicians often! The smoking section is small but covered from rain. There isn't much to do in the immediate area. You definitely have to taxi or train to get to anywhere cool, but I like that it's centralized to make it easy to get to the different sights and temples at different ends of Kyoto. Although To-Ji Temple and RokusonnÅ Shrine are some of my favorite places to visit in Kyoto and they're only a 20 minute walk from the hotel. My only real complaint about the room is there's only like 2 power outlets and they're not in convenient spots, so maybe pick up an extension cord from Joshin across the street. Otherwise the rooms are great!

- JONATHAN (10/5): Feels like a great all inclusive resort! - Good size rooms for the price in japan. Breakfast was also outstanding and affordable. Combined with the free welcome drink at the least lobby every night made it feel like an all included resort. Great place to relax between busy days in Kyoto and right by the metro. Even has free washing machines. Only inconvenience was some cigarette odor near the lobby sometimes.

- Laura (6/5): Clean and pleasant but small and impractical - The hotel was well located in short walking distance from Kyoto station and a metro stop is immediately outside. The daily welcome drink was a nice touch. There were many restaurants locally. It was clean and the staff were helpful, they arranged my luggage delivery nicely, and lent me an umbrella when needed. Negatives were the room was uncomfortably small with only 4 hangers for clothes, no hooks. Nowhere to safely put the kettle, no usb points and generally not enough plugs, and the threat of a yen1000 fine for loss of room card. I had to buy an extension cord to make it work which isnāt right is it? On the plus side there was a good view of the mountains.

The convenient location 8 minutes walk away from Kyoto train station or one subway stop away with the subway entrance just a few steps away from the hotel entrance. Bus stops going east or west within 200 m. Easy computerized check-in but with hotel staff happy to assist if needed. Luggage storage if needed. Make sure to book Breakfast beforehand as the breakfast is so good! they do become overbooked. Everything was great, only minor problem was the internet connection which was sporadic. Strongly recommend this fantastic hotel.

It's very close to Kyoto station and was convenient to take the Shinkassen bullet train to Tokyo. The buffet breakfast was excellent offering Japanese and western food. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. Overall extremely satisfied and of course will stay here again next time in Kyoto.

The Sakura serves a very good breakfast, complimentary coffee and cocktails after 6.00pm. Very friendly and helpful staff; that can also advice you with maps of the many attractions. We had the corner window on the 9th floor with a lovely view.

Its just too hard to visit a place and not be able to look anything up from your hotel. Based on the routers everywhere they tried to improve it but we had almost nothing our entire stay. - Le (8/5): - It's a very nice hotel with a decent size room compared to other Japanese hotel. Room is spacious. They provided free alcohol drinks and non alcohol beverages at a specific time. The hotel is walkable to Kyoto Station, about 7 to 10 minutes walk.

- Juraj (6/5): - Big disappointment! There was no option for room with breakfast on Expedia. It stated that the breakfast is available for additional fee. I was told (by not very polite check in agent, with his poor English) that we can not buy breakfast, it's sold out! Never heard of it. The same for the next day. He didn't care where we will eat in the morning. This is wrong message. Some areas of the hotel are obviously rundown. The view from balcony was building literally next to it with noisy AC. The same fronf desk guy always has some issue since check in, looking for kind of confrontation with his poor English. There is room-smoking area basically attached to the lobby and breakfast area. People don't close the door sometimes and the cigarette smoke is all around. Terrible! Positive: welcome drink and live entertainment, hotel is right at the metro station. Wouldn't stay here again as they do not appreciate their guests.

I wish they had more TV channel options or closed caption television with different language options (pretty common). The staff and hotel had alot of class. Loved it. Will come back.

- Tony (6/5): - Difficult in English communications with front desk male staff. Rough and unhelpful on requests. Tiny wardrobes with only 4 hangers for 5 dayās visitors. Housekeeping is very thorough and clean towels are well replenished which score full mark. Noisy crossings but convenient to JR station.

- Milan Ashvin (10/5): - Outstanding hotel and staff. The washing machines and dryers are free to use. It is right next to the metro. Excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms quite large (for Japan). There is a free cafe and free evening drink. Also, they hold rehular music hours with live music performers in the evening too.
- Shannon (6/5): - The Sakura has many positive attributes. It is conveniently located next to a metro line but also is an easy walkable distance to Kyoto Station. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful, free beverage each night and a decent cafe near by if you chose to self-cater. The only short coming was the quality of the bed. It was hard rather than firm and it creaked at every toss and turn. Perfectly fine for a night or two but if staying longer, it might be a problem. Itās just that we have had very comfortable sleeps at all other hotels in the same price range.

- David (10/5): - We love this hotel. Clean, a subway station is right in front of the hotel yet JR Kyoto station is walkable distance. Our room had a balcony with a Toji tower view! Highly recommend!
- MariĆØve (2/5): - Donāt go there if you are a tourist. The staff is not really nice or donāt know what to do. They make us pay a 500 yen drink we didnāt even take. That was probably the previous customer who stayed at the same room. The laundry service is terrible. They remove our clothes from the dryer and said that our clothes was there for too long but when my boyfriend get to the reception to pick our clothes, the clothes was still hot and humid. We think a women stop the machine and call the staff saying that our clothes was ready but that was not true. The clothes was in the dryer for 15 min and they said it take 3 hours to dry. Worst service and the breakfast is cold.

- Tao (10/5): - very convenient location with subway entrance next to hotel door, and 10 minuets walk to Kyoto Station. Free welcome drink and public bath. Very friendly staff who helped me to mail my large luggage to & from Tokyo hotel.
- Anilkumar (6/5): - The worst part of this otherwise good stay was the staff. Stuff, unfriendly, unhelpful.
- Julia (8/5): - Itās nice there is a hot springs. Not that itās super nice but hot springs is great nonetheless. I got this for $76 a night and I was annoyed that when I went to book a third night the day before, it was only $51. And it came with a balcony and the other room did not. So try to stay here for less than $60 a night. Also donāt lose your key card they try to charge Ā„2000 yen and donāt tell you that before.
- Victor (10/5): - Sakura Terrace was an amazing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very clean, the common area lounge and services were very good. The location was also very convenient and walkable. Overall very satisfied with my stay and will stay again.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the property was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent value and delicious. The ladies bath was very peaceful and very clean. The hotel was an easy walk to Kyoto Station and a popular bus stop and subway stop were 2 minutes walk. I would highly recommend this property.
- May Chan (8/5): - Like the free drinks and amazing breakfast buffet. The public baths are small and crowded. The washer dryers need to be replaced - we spent over 3 hours tending to the undried clothes.

- Agne (6/5): Great location hotel - Knowing how clean Japan is , the hotel were not very clean; stains in carpets in the hallways, dust on the room walls. The breakfast options were great.
- Victoria (8/5): - Excellent location by subway station and bus 207 to Gion. Easy walk to Kyoto train station. Hotel has nice public bath, free drinking water and complimentary coctail every night. Buffet breakfast is nice, good selection of food for about 1600 yen. Our room was very small and a bit dated, but had all the amenities.
