- Julie (8/5): Fantastic location to Cradle Mountain Visitors Centre and Walks - Proximity to Cradle Mountain was the principal reason I chose to stay at Discovery Parks. Camp kitchen was well equipped with every appliance and cooking utensils and pots / pans needed for cooking. Beds in bunk rooms were small. Staff was very professional.

And the directions were not clear. I think the potholes needs to fixed - you could damage the tyres of the vehicles driving through those huge pot-holes - sorry - otherwise the location and everything else was great. POT-HOLES!!! sorry

- Brent (7/5): Keep going - The location was great, right across the road from the national park info centre. Cradle Mountain as a whole was amazing. I think it is a bit over priced for what the accommodation. Over $300 a night is a bit much but accommodation is limited and that was the cheapest going. Every day is a school day.

Super clean shower block with heated floor! Easy to find and right across the road from the Visitor Centre and shuttle bus into the park. We really enjoyed our stay here, can highly recommend.

- Jue-Jia (9/5): A time saver for a full day hike and a comfortable place to relax after a long hike - Excellent location to really save time for planning a full day hike in the national park. We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed very much the comfortable facilities equipped in the room. Price is really high, compared to all other locations with similar level of facilities and room sizes among the 20 days of our road trip in Tasmania.

- Phil (7/5): A nice place to stay when you visit Cradle Mountain - Although not fancy the accommodation was perfectly fine. The beds were comfortable. The cabin was very clean and the Discovery Park is close to the Cradle Mountain main visitor centre. The heating was very efficient. The bathroom was very nice and looked like it had recently been upgraded. All the rooms, particularly the bedrooms were overlit with very bright strip lights which was a shame.

- 267julieg (10/5): PREMIUM CABIN……AMAZING - just returned from a magnificent 2 nights staying in the Premium cabins at Discovery Parks Cradle Mountain. OMG. Talk about wow factor. Beautifully finished……great kitchen……full size fridge, microwave/oven, dishwasher….., superb full bathroom….luxurious bath, large separate shower and separate toilet. Electronically controlled blinds, Underfloor heating, welcoming gas fire and if you are still cold, a heat pump and electric blankets…..we weren’t cold! We had 2 nights….not enough as truly wanted to totally immerse ourselves in the luxury of the Premium Cabin. Loved every bit of our experience. Also had magnificent meal at Hellyers restaurant …will review separately.

- mikeskinner0517 (8/5): Cradle Mountain Tourist Park in bushland is unique. - A Tourist/Caravan/Camping park with a difference. Check in was friendly enough and we proceeded through the boom gate with our Motor home. This facility is not laid out like a traditional park. Site are all laid out in a haphazard fashion fitting in with the natural bush landscape and topography. Really unique and it gave a "back to nature" feeling. Check out proved to be a bit of a challenge. 10.00 am, and if you are not out your exit code for the boom gate is cancelled. Necessitating a visit to the front office where the lady manager of the day was not happy with the inconvenience. But don't be deterred by that.

Spacious cabin with terrific heating and spare blankets. Bathroom including shower was great. The kitchen had a toaster, kettle, cutlery and everything else we needed. Television is fine though a little old, but it was fun to peruse the DVD collection in the reception and pick a few - felt old school! Even the internet connection was better than expected. Not a big deal, but there's no dishwasher.

- Christopher (8/5): Great family fun - Location was absolutely perfect. Size was good and the reclining sofa was a nice surprise. Water pressure was good and the cabin got warm quickly. Everyone was very warm during sleeping even with the heater on low because so many good blankets. Floors were cold all the time. Socks weren't enough to keep feet warm. Needed shoes too.

Did not stay at all and returned key ASAP to reception - Location to the National Park was fine , price points offered were appreciated Did not stay at all, returned key for the Economy Dorm within an hour as totally not suitable . The photo was not indicative of the "dog box" and the shared toilet and bathroom did not describe the out of room facilities and across a walkway actuality which was not suitable for our party at all. That is not what a shared toilet and bathroom means to me. There was barely room to walk around the inside and not a cupboard/table/ drink preparation space at all. Wish I had taken a photo but were too disappointed and devastated. We went elsewhere to book a room which was fortunately possible , returned the key for them to re-book if possible after trying to alter the booking and upgrade at reception . This was appantley not possible so had to go elsewhere at significantly more expense. I rang the contact number listed on the booking who gave me an American phone number........after questioning her she gave me an Australian one. I have just returned home so will ring them and request a credit on my account. My booking confirmation number is 6522.225.309 pin code 2298. I believe a call was made to Discovery Parks reception who could not help me any further in any way. I paid $235 on March 2026 , I would be very grateful if you could apply this amount as a credit for future bookings as I have used your service MANY times . This is my first really poor experience and reluctant to use again. Please respond, regards Julie
- Stephanie (8/5): Luxurious accommodation - Underfloor heating, privacy (cabin 6), beautiful outlook to forest, quiet, comfortable bed, excellent restaurant (Hellyers) on site No basic necessities e.g. kitchen towel, clingwrap provided, very poor lighting on paths therefore hard to walk at night (no torch provided), no response to two phone messages and one email message about lights that wouldn't switch off. We had to call the after hours emergency number

Staff wasn’t really friendly, room was tiny and smelly, had to make my own bed/put on sheets, went out and came back to my room and housekeeping had removed my sheets again even though my stuff was on top so it had fallen down, the mattress sucks. Not worth the money, wouldn’t recommend

- Julie (9/5): We were very happy with our accommodation and would recommend it to anyone going to Cradle Mountain. - The location of the cabin was close to the visitors centre and Cradle walks, which was perfect. The cabin was really comfortable, clean and cosy. We could easily have stayed longer. NA

- Tracey (8/5): Convenient, clean and cosy - Warm, clean and cosy On site restaurant has a fairly “fancy” menu. And priced accordingly. The food was good but not always what you want to eat. Sometimes (esp after a long day of walking) a stock standard meal is in order
