- David (8/5): - This is a good budget hotel for those staying just a night or two in Davao. Bed and pillows are comfy, the room is dark at night thanks to good curtains and pretty clean. It's basic, so nothing fancy here. There is a hot water carafe, cable TV and good Wifi. They have a small parking lot, but it's tight. The area around the hotel has a Robinsons ( 1 min. walk) a good pizzeria, 7-11, etc. The location is very good. I'll stay here again.

It day room was so stinky we were moved to another room but the toilet starts to leak then it smells like sewage, moved again to another room then the brownout, no back up generator had to go up by steps till the 7th floors. - Juanito (8/5): Great Staff But Cleanliness Needs Attention - The staff were courteous, friendly, and very polite. There’s however, an issue with maintenance and cleanliness. The grout between the tiles on the floor and the shower walls look dirty and moldy especially the soap holder inside the shower. At first glance your first comment will be “ewe” instead of nice or wow! The simple remedy would be to clean the grout with toothbrush and bleach! It’s very simple yet effective.

- Vincent Bernard (4/5): - I frequently go on business trips. I get budget friendly hotels if i need to stay for just a while. The location is near Sm Lanang making it accessible to dining and shopping. Checking in was also fast as i came in late at night. However everything was downhill from there. The most important for me is a good nights sleep as im leaving early for meetings the next day, as i was getting ready to sleep the aircon suddenly stopped. I tried to do reset by removing the keycard. I did this for at least 3 times because i thought it was just setting problem. I also felt that the room had a very damp and mouldy feeling. Eventually i gave up and notices that there was no phone i can call the front desk. So i got out of my room and went downstairs to complain. At the same time I asked to buy water, they had none. When i went back up, they told me there was no maintenance and i had to transfer rooms. So i packed up near midnight and trasferred. Good thing one of the front desk just gave me a bottle of drinking water for their coming event. A good consolation. But Red Planet never again.
- Roy (6/5): - There’s no complimentary water or coffee inside the room. I guess the hotel does not want to attract good paying customers. A 3 in 1 coffee pack cost less that 100 pesos wholesale but will be a good convenient offering to patrons… just a thought.

They told me that that’s all they had when I had booked this hotel weeks in advance from Canada. Disappointed with the staff (except security) who did not show a sign of care. My family and I will not be back to this hotel anymore.

- Landy (8/5): - I stayed for 6 days. The good - The staff was awesome! Very friendly, were there to answer questions and to advise me on local events. Everyone spoke english well. The hotel and the room were clean. The not so good - The rooms are fairly small. Like they are really just for sleeping. If you want to do anything besides shower and sleep.. you're going to find it challenging. A few days I had to do remote work from the room and it wasnt very suitable. There is no table or chairs .. just the bed. the only other thing...I saw someone else mentioned this .. the shower tiles were squishy like they had standing water under them...and no shower door so the water from the shower goes all over the bathroom floor. Oh and the honking from the traffic .. wait at 3 am there was no traffic...but still the honking.

- Kenneth (10/5): - The room is a typical size for a budget hotel in Europe or the US and for the price and location near a mall, convience store, and a pizza place. Its great! The room also had a good tv that worked well which i haven't seen often in the Philippines. Definitely recommended as a place to go if you want to stay in Davao and sleep in a clean and convenient place.
- Aprilyn (2/5): - rooms is like you are in the boarding house and toilets are disgusting with yellowish and stains. limited parking space and they prioritize it for employees not for clients. breakfast is not a buffet just a plate with 1 cup of rice and 1 viand. and its in a cafe next to it that maybe they partner with and charge for extra rice and milk in your coffee coz they only give free sugar and cream. not a place to recommend.

Seem to be too hard to hotel customers to treat those in a correct manner. Not much dining options around there but the next SM is only a few minutes away from.the hotel by taxi.

- Ciprian (10/5): Keep up the Good work - I stayed at Red Planet two weeks earlier when I landed in Davao after a long trip from Saskatchewan, Canada. I was impressed by the over-all condition of the property, the cleanliness, the efficiency of the staff and the availability of hot water. This particular trip is the first leg of my return trip to Canada and again I am impressed with Red Planet. Because of my positive experience in Davao I booked the Red Planet for my overnight stay at Cebu.

It makes a sound even on a little movement. Parking is limited. Room facing the road is quite noisy. You can hear the vehicles and even singing in videoke.
