• Verified traveler (8/5): Quaint, but must be fit to haul baggage - The apartment was quaint and lovely for our needs. They gave us early check in for free. They were not able to give us late check out, but were friendly and gracious to let us keep the baggage (lots) at their office. Proximity to groceries and sight seeing was perfect. Check-in was a bit difficult as the office is a 10-15 min walk from the apartment. This was a task with baggage. The elevator was broken for the entirety of our stay, so this also was a chore with lots of baggage and of course every time you leave and return it was 5-6 flights of stairs. Even so, I would stay here again! The price was right.

• Inga (8/5): - Geräumige Unterkunft in guter Lage mit guter Austattung. Das Treppenhaus und der Aufzug sind in keinem guten Zustand (abgebrochene Kanten an Treppenstufen, teilweise defektes Licht usw.), das Apartment aber schon. Check-In und Check-Out etwas chaotisch und unklar, hat aber letztendlich alles geklappt. Empfehlung: dem Apartment vor Ankunft schreiben und den angebtotenen Transfer (Taxi) für jeweils 500 UAH in Anspruch nehmen, dann wird man direkt zum Apartment gefahren bzw. von dort abgeholt und bekommt den Schlüssel vom Taxifahrer bzw. gibt ihn dem Taxifahrer wieder ab.
• Maria (4/5): Not recommended - We didn't get the room we paid for- they gave it to another couple. Getting the key was not comfortable. A rude old man gave us the key, told us to leave 100$ deposit and yelled at us when we asked a receipt for the deposit. He was very unpleasant and didn't explained how to get to the apartment. The building was under renovations, so everything was dusty and all the entrance to the room was filthy. There was no option to darken the room at the morning so you have the sun in your eyes from the sunrise hours.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The flat was cleaned very thoroughly and is practical. However, a few things to note: the check-in is not the simplest as the address given is for a building block, not a flat. The flat itself smells of old cigarette smoke, is quite noisy throughout the night due to it being on a main road, the shower is quite impractical and floods the bathroom very easily, and one of the gas hob buttons doesn’t shut properly so it’s unclear whether it’s on or not.

• Sharen (6/5): My Superior apartment was a studio - I booked a superior apartment and received a studio. The room has 3 large windows (no view) with thin curtains so a good sleep was impossible due to light and noise from the fridge (that I ended up unplugging). The check in process was a mess. Location is good
• Mike (10/5): - Good safe neighborhood near Embassies and Consulates. Excellent air conditioner. You have to go to their office at 21 Kryschatik to get keys, leave $100 security deposit and allow them to copy your passport before going to the actual apartment you will be staying at.

• JOSEPH (10/5): Lovely, excellent, cosy apartment in Kiev centre - excellent location, apartment as described and has everything from kitchen utensils, to extra need linen and extra bath towels. we were well received, they have arranged pie pick up from airport (upon our request).i recommend it and I definitely would go back again.

Then agent demanded $100 cash deposit but receipt would have to be issued in their office in a different location. I needed to check-out at 4 am but was not able to get my deposit back until 10 am. If you like cheep "Love Hotel" feel and stress then this place is for you. Others - stay away as far as possible.
• Stefan (10/5): langes Wochenende in Kiew - Nettes Appartement inmitten der City. Schön eingerichtet, Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen ...alles vorhanden. Man kann auch zu Fuß viel unternehmen:)
• Ray (6/5): Not bad apartment, bad experience - In a word I wouldn’t recommend this one due to flaw processes, unless you wish to spend more than an hour just for checking-in. I knew I had to spend that much time in communication on everything, I wish I had stayed somewhere else. But if you speak the language things could be easier. The apartment (indoors) is not bad, with all the facilities it should have, although conditions are a bit old. The check-in office is a real estate agency. The bad things was 1) they didn’t say it clear that office was on the 4th floor. All I got was the street number; 2) The street number was not displayed at its small entrance. I was careful enough to mark the correct address on Google Maps before my travel. Yet I still couldn’t find it. I spent 50 minutes to find out how to get there. The staff offered no apology. Checking out process was another flaw. It was possible to allow guest to leave the key at the estate but they didn’t. I asked to leave my bag with them and would pick up at 6pm, while their office closes at 5:30pm and I was told to leave my bag at the concierge of the building. When I collected my bag, the concierge asked me for money equivalent to USD 40 cents. This was nothing but I wasn’t happy for a surprise charge because no one told me beforehand and I had emptied all of my Ukrainian currency before flying home. A bit of embarrassment and took extra time to explain why I couldn’t pay such a small fee. Not a pleasant experience when I was in rush to the airport.

• Verified traveler (10/5): First Time in Kiev - The hotel was very close to restaurants an some attractions. The staff was very friendly. When you arrive to the address indicated it's the office but then after checking in they take you to the apartment and at checkout they do the check-out right in the apartment and call you a taxi to take you to the airport. The apartment was quite spacious and it was very affordable and very confortable. Only thing, when you first see the apartment building it looks old from the outside, but inside you everything you need and more, it's clean, beautiful. I would certainly stay here again.

Jag fick släpa två väskor fram och tillbaka i centrala Kiev tills jag var genomsvettig och missade mitt affärsmöte med 1 timme. Förståelsen hos uthyraren var också minimal liksom serviceandan. ALDRIG MER!
• Verified traveler (4/5): Das 100 Dollar Hotel - Das schöne Apartment war in einem herunter gekommenen Wohnhaus. An der angegeben Adresse gab es gegen 100 Dollar Kaution und 2600 Griwna nur den Schlüssel . Wo bekommt man Nachts um 23.30Uhr mitten in Kiew 100 Dollar und 2600 Griwna her? Unser ukrainischen Geschäftspartner konnte zum Glück helfen. Es folgten Telefonate und Diskussionen vor Ort. Das Apartment war ja bereits bezahlt und die Kaution hat scheinbar jeder in Kiew vorsorglich in der Tasche. Wenn man nur als Tourist ohne Russischkenntnisse unterwegs ist hat man bei der Verfahrensweise keine Chance. Nach einer halben Stunde hatten wir unsere Schlüssel und machten uns in der Nacht mit Gepäck zu Fuß in Kiew auf die Suche nach unserem Wohnhaus. Der Rest war gut, aber mit einer professionellen Onlinebuchung über Expedia hat das nichts zu tun. Entscheidene Informationen fehlten uns und die Adresse war nur ein Pförtner in einem Officehaus.
• Paul (10/5): Super Place - Great rooms. Spacious, Clean, Several hundred feet from Maidan. Close to everything. No complaints.
• Paul (10/5): Perfect location and price. - Perfect location. A stones throw from Maidan. I have travelled to many countries. I do not understand some of the criticism that are made actually. The rooms were spacious and clean. Great gated security. Police station literally next door. Only one issue was aggravating: The WI-FI service was down for the last two days I stayed there. I just leached off of a local, so it was not too bad thank goodness.

The only problem was that arriving in the evening the office where you have to collect your keys is quite a long way from the apartment from the airport to the apartment via the office to collect keys was well in excess of an hour

• Alex (6/5): Good but different location than was ordered. - The apartments generally was in good condition and clean. But the address was different than was published on the site. The manager didn't leave the keys, so I had to wait outside at the night almost two hours to get the keys.

• Dave (10/5): Great location, near main street - Meet at office and taken personally to apartment, shown around and cleaning explained. Suggest you have them organize taxi from airport, its approx 30 minutes drive, cheaper than option I tried!. Had them organize Taxi and check out,no problems, I had 7 am pick up, taxi right on time. You do not want to be late at airport ,give yourself at least 2 and half hours before flight when leaving. Also arrive around mid afternoon, best time to book in. Apartment perfect for me, single man, but ideal also for couple. Within an hour had discovered its excellent location to restaurants, shops and of course main street (Khreshchatyk ). was on 1st floor with small balcony overlooking Tarasa Shevchenko Blvd. Great spot on sunny afternoons for drying clothes ( washing machine in apartment) and for watching world go by. Metro 5 to 6 minutes away ( how fast do you walk!) its downhill to Khreshchatyk, but you are surrounded by options for shopping ,dinning. I am English speaking and by myself ( 15 days in Keiv) but had no trouble finding way around, found book store with excellent maps, and plenty of people who helped when asked. Keiv is fantastic city to visit and Ukrainian people once they know you, are so friendly.Always felt safe, but take usual common sense precautions as in all cities. I can not wait to return and was certainly happy with my apartment.
• Frederique (10/5): Agréable séjour - Appartement très bien situé dans Kiev. L'appartement est très spacieux et bien équipé. Belle hauteur sous plafond. L'appartement dispose de tout confort et tout ce dont on a besoin durant un séjour. Il y a bien sûr le Wi-Fi Serguey est très gentil, le point de rencontre est le bureau de l'agence Almataya, situé sous les 3 arches de la grande avenue de Kiev. Une fois sur place, il vous donne les clefs de votre appartement avec un plan de la ville et vous accompagne dans l'appartement afin de faire le tour avec vous de ce dernier. A recommander
• Frode (6/5): Not give me the apartment I haved booked. - They not speak English. Difficult to find the office.. And the apartment I have booked. They have rent out. So they try to make me pay more money to get something bigger.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Almateya apartments on Shevchenko - Overall the apartment and it's facilities were good, although the photo's given were unlike the real thing.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Apartment on Tarasa Shevchenko - Excellent airport transfer. Excellent communication before and after check=in (in English). Good WiFi. Cleaning on request. I have stayed with Almateya twice and both times were a good experience. Remember that the address on Tarasa Shevchenko is Tarasa Shevchenko Lane by the Maidan and not Tarasa Shevchenko Boulevard.
• Julien s (8/5): Bon appart hôtel - Appart hôtel propre bien situé et proche du métro. Très satisfait.
• Disappointed couple (2/5): Another building another address. - When booking, nothing of the information on the hotels.com website states anything about being moved to other addresses when the rooms (apartments) in 21 Khreshatik Street are fully booked, so our surprise was great when we called the "hotel" from the taxi and was asked to meet at another location where a man with a key told us where to go. This is not very foreign language tourist friendly and is information that must be given on hotels.com. The apartment itself was OK for the price, but smell of urine in bathroom and TV not working was disappointing. I cant give it anyhting else than 1 overall.
