Guest Reviews
- CHERYL (10/5): - Staff were friendly & efficient, room was a good size and the bed was comfy. We particularly liked the ‘Club’ room where you could help yourself to coffee, water etc and snacks at any time!
- Hedi (8/5): - Very nice, centrally located hotel. Rooms are very small though so you need be aware of that. But very clean and service was wonderful.
- Richard (6/5): - Small bed and weird bathroom. Kinda Japanese style but this gets water all over the sink area and the toilet area.
- Stella (10/5): - The hotel is conveniently located, good breakfast, clean room
- Andre (10/5): - great night sleep, friendly staff
- Melsha (8/5): Okko Hotels, Nantes center, France. - I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely try to stay at another okko hotel if possible. Efficient and clean room, and the free extras in the private lounge were really a change from the usual hotel operating models. The only issue was with a hair-plugged shower drain. I suggested to the person at reception servicing this item every couple of days. Otherwise I couldn't be more satisfied.
- Susie (10/5): Fabulous - Fabulous hotel with great facilities
- Susie (10/5): A Fabulous & Amazing experience - What an amazing experience! The Okko came highly recommended and did not disappoint and we will be recommending it now too.
The lounge and snack area was a delightful experience, the rooms were compact but very comfortably furnished. Bedding was amazing with linen duvet and lovely pillows. The buffet breakfast was so fresh and had lovely freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh bakery items.
- Mari C (8/5): - We like the hotel. It is quite, safe and located in a nice area.
- Damien (4/5): Not happy about the fire alarm - The fire alarm went off at around 7:30. There was no staff telling people where to go. People were left in the hotel and staff did nothing. When the alarm stopped sounding no staff came out side to tell us what to do. When we checked out there was no apology or any sort of conversation. There fire procedures are terrible and it’s a big worry if there was a fire in the hotel.
- Helen (2/5): Nice hotel but terrible health and safety issues. - The fire alarm went off at 7.30 in trlhe morning. Everyone evacuated but there was no guidance from any staff. Nothing was explained and no one told us it was safe to return. No explanation or apology at check out either
- James (10/5): - Helpful friendly staff. Many cafes in the streets behind the hotel.
- Tadhg (10/5): - Lovely hotel.
Great location.
Fair price.
Decent breakfast with GF bread.
- Ivor (10/5): - Faultless
- Benyoucef Ahmed Fatah (10/5): - Excellent
- John (8/5): - Great location! Really nice room with added benefit off the “club” room. Most absurd bathroom I have ever encountered. Be prepared to practice water containment when taking a shower.
- Lynn (10/5): - Great hotel and location! Highly recommend it!
- Craig (10/5): Great hotel in great location. - Very close to Cathedral bus stop. Great location. Really great hotel. Would absolutely stay here if visiting Nantes again.
- Fiona (10/5): - Lovely front desk staff, courteous and helpful. Club room had wonderful tea selection and all day snacks
- Mariam (10/5): - Very elegant and practical design and super friendly staff. The whole team was great.
Naila
- Marcelo (10/5): Good - Well located, very easy to walk around. The rooms were clean and small. I also liked the breakfast. The staff were friendly as well.
- maxime (6/5): - Service was good.
We did not appreciate the "integrated" bathroom: glass doors don't provide much privacy, and the strange layout requires one to step on the shower floor to use the facilities. Whoever designed this space did not have to use it.
Pictures of the room were taken in a way that does not reveal this.
- Kevin (10/5): - Fantastic staff all very professional and helpful, great location
- Mihaela (10/5): - Very friendly and professional staff - Anna, the manager, in particular (if I had to name someone). Perfect location. Nice breakfast and lounge. I would highly recommend this hotel to travellers.
- Aaron (8/5): - Rooms are small but lounge is nice. Incredibly central to everything.
- Gideon (10/5): Great hotel! - Might be our new fav hotel in Nantes, great location, secure parking, modern room, friendly service and free snack + drink options included. Highly recommended!
- Kate (10/5): - A great stay in a convenient location & helpful staff to make the stay a good one.
- Dominic (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Great Hotel in the middle of town 100 M from the Chateau. Ensure you book parking as it is limited.
The staff were very professional and courteous making our stay a pleasure.
- C Alan (6/5): A bit disappointing - We were travelling in Northern France for two weeks prior to arriving in Nantes and then carrying on to Portugal for a couple of weeks. We choose this hotel based on two factors - the website says that they have a guest laundry and guest parking. They do not have a guest laundry which was very disappointing, and they had no idea of anything close buy. As we were flying out the next day, we had to find a laundromat. They do have guest parking. You have to book in advance and you have to call them, not email. There were only about a dozen places and the two at the very end were brutal to try and park in. The room is a bit odd in that you have to walk through the shower to get to the sink and toilet. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again. It was ok, but there have to be better choices
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very poor customer service. - We were supposed to stay here overnight and had chosen the hotel because of it's location with secure parking. We were unable to get to the hotel because of city roadworks. However, knowing full well that we needed to access their parking the hotel didn't inform us that we were unable to reach them until 90mins prior to our scheduled arrival. This meant we had to find alternative accommodation en route to Nantes. I'm sure the hotel would have been lovely had we been able to make our booking. The hotel were extremely unhelpful (polite but unhelpful - a sort of who cares attitude) and refused to refund the booking. Hotels.com were as helpful as they could possibly be in this situation. OKKO - avoid.
- Russell (8/5): Super chic! - Un hôtel moderne et très chic. Le petit-dej était FORMIDABLE. Très très bien.
- Karen (10/5): - Friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Was very convenient walking everywhere.
- lovleen (10/5): - Staying at Okko Nantes was excellent. The hotel reception staff were fantastic in their professionalism and willingness to help with queries. The hotel, rooms and bedding were very clean and tidy. The aperitifs served in the Club lounge were delicious and presented in an appetizing way, along with a lovely breakfast which had many options. Would highly recommend.
- Anthony (10/5): - A great hotel, at a good price in an excellent location.
- Simon (8/5): - A good location within walking distance of most places of interest and the station.
- Damien (8/5): - Great hotel loved the chill out area and drinks snacks ect provided few of charge was a nice touch. Only thing was first day no room service nothing topped up made ect and felt like it was a burden to them cleaning the room nothing seemed to get topped up and ran out of toilet paper and shower wash.
- David (10/5): - Great location, room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Good location, near restaurants, bars and shopping.
- Andrew (10/5): Compact room in a central location - Great little hotel in the centre of Nantes. Reception staff were always very helpful when we called ahead, and when we arrived. Room is compact, with shower room, eating area, bed, desk with a single chair, and a safe. No Mini fridge.
Area around the hotel is nice during the day, a bit dodgy at night!!
Hotel parking is very limited so try and book it very early - it was full when we tried to make an advance booking, but there are several large city car parks nearby (within 5-10 minutes walk).
- Monique (10/5): - Very central location
Welcoming reception
Club worth it
- Neeta (10/5): - OKKO hotels in Nantes was exactly as expected. We had a car so needed a spot with a car park. The room was small, but that was obvious from the description. It was well put together and very neat and clean with a decent breakfast in the morning. It was just around corner of the Chateau des ducs de Bretagne and the cathedral in Nantes. Lots of great places to eat right there. We had a wonderful dinner in Le Cochin que fume right next door.
- Maria (8/5): Good location - A good location close to the chateau and next to the lively downtown cafés and restaurants. Within walking distance for the train station which was important for us since we took three day trips, returning from Saint Nazaire by boat along the Loire.
Having read reviews about the odd bathroom arrangement, we went ahead and booked for a week since our previous stay in OKKO Nice airport had been good.
The staff were very friendly and obliging when I pointed out that three hangers for two people staying seven nights were inadequate but there was nothing to be done about the minimal hanging space.
Everyday we had to use a bath towel to dry the shower floor which undermines their save the planet message.
On busy days the breakfast/lounge area cannot cope with a full house. A single lift is I adequate for guests in 70+ rooms plus cleaning staff.
- Tymoteusz (10/5): Very friendly staff - Very good location and nice service from the staff
- Gordon (10/5): - Stylish modern hotel. Easy to find with attentive friendly staff.
Very comfortable and quiet room with quirky pod-style en-suite. Quality bed linen and large comfy bed.
Drinks and homemade snack available in the lounge 25/7.
Delightful stay
- Hwi (10/5): - 아름다운도시 좋은분위기
주차가 불편했어요
- Ben (6/5): Nice hotel but lacks personality. - Chose hotel for location, which was good for what I wanted (car park nearby for hire car) and restaurants for dinner.
Reception staff sufficient but not what I would call a warm welcome. Hotel is clean and everything in the rooms well, however, by going for ultra modern, it lacks comfort. The bed was so low and having a big louvre type divide from the bathroom that swung out to the bed was strange, as you need to learn around.
You do get refreshments included in the lounge area, but don't get excited, it a coffee machine and a fridge full of tomato juice. Did have a nice slice of lemon pie though.
Would I stay again, no is probably the answer. An old city like Nantes has many hotels that offer charm, unfortunately this is not one of them.
- Marie-Catherine (10/5): Great boutique hotel - Wonderful and helpful staff. Great location. Clean. Has a co-working space with cookies, tea and coffee all-day-long. I loved it!
- Erdem (10/5): - Great city, great hotel.
- Yevgeniy (10/5): - Nice service, clean rooms, very good breakfast, hotel is conveniently located. Very friendly personnel.
- Peter (10/5): Excellent stay and fantastic staff. - After having a horrible experience at the Mercure Centre we booked this stay and it was absolutely wonderful. Convenient locations, comfortable room, and a fantastic staff.
- David (8/5): - It would be nice to be able to take drinks from the bar to the room. No room service.
- David (10/5): - Very nice rooms, comfortable, handy to everything. Nice lounge great breakfast.
- Ian (8/5): - Great location. Staff very nice but breakfast to expensive @ Euro 19 per person.
- Oscar (8/5): - Great place to stay. Just be aware of a “weird”bathroom design.
- Fred (8/5): - Beautifully situated, modern hotel near the Palais de Ducs and on the cusp of the medieval city. Quirky room, well-suited for couples who are very comfortable with one another. Nice amenities.
- JACQUELINE (4/5): - Room was tiny, barely had space to open suitcase (medium sized), and terrible bathroom, poorly lit, but worse of all, you enter the bathroom through the shower, which while you’re showering leaks to the rest of the bathroom, so after the shower the whole bathroom is wet, and a slippery mess, a fall hazard…commented with hotel staff who is apparently aware of the design flaw….
The only plus to the hotel is the location (close to restaurants) and the parking garage.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great shout for a long weekend tourist - Best location possible for touring the city sites and a good night’s sleep
- Oscar (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. The location is great, a 10min walk from the train station, close to the chateau, lots of restaurants to eat but far enough to where the noise will disturb you. It does take a bit to get used to the room, particularly the bathroom layout. Otherwise, great hotel to choose for your stay!
- Ralph (10/5): - Great Hotel Snacking Offer Really good value
- Michael (10/5): excellen staff - there is no obvious car park but they parked the car in a garage for me and it was ready in 5 mons when i needed it plus a bottle of water for the journey. It is on a busy street but the balcony is double doored so soundproof. Very helpful people at reception
- Dick (10/5): - Very nice modern room. Flo was a great ambassador for the brand and the city!
- Amirchand (8/5): Great hotel at this price point or even higher - Very nice hotel. Super clean, good modern rooms. The staff is very friendly and we had a good welcome. The club area is also really nice, very modern and good design. Highly recommend this hotel
- Joseph (8/5): Great spot for one or couple Adir 1-2 nights - 2 nights business trip. Room is small but have almost all functions. Clean. All works. Looks new. No real closet, so for more than a couple of nights I would take it into account.
Separation between bed area and bath is transparent. One may want to know if not alone.
Lobby area is very nice, free coffee and beverages and some snacks in the evening. Breakfast 18 euro is good.
Staff is great
- Stanley (10/5): Amazing hotel, amenities, service and position - Amazing hotel, amenities, service and position
- iain (10/5): - Helpful friendly staff in a comfortable city centre hotel
Absolutely loved the club conceppt with teas and good coffee and le snacking availabale throughout the day total winner!!
- Joe (10/5): - great hotel close to the centre
- Lance (8/5): - Nice place, staff were friendly.
- Donald (8/5): Good hotel, great location - It is wonderful concept they have with a ‘club’ for guests however it’s probably not that different to a lot of other hotels that provide those services in their lounge.
Room was comfortable although I thought the bathroom although it looked great, wasn’t that practical. As a single guest it worked for me but not sure if it was a couple.
Location was great, close to the station and the centre of town with all its cafes and restaurants.
- Ishbel (10/5): - Fab, funky hotel.
- keith (8/5): - Nice room. Interesting design. Comfortable bed. Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Julien (10/5): - Great hotel with amazing staff
- Yu Fang (10/5): Very nice hotel - It was a very nice hotel located in the city centre and is near all the sights. You can easily reach these places by walking. Lots of restaurants options around.
The hotel room design is trendy and it’s practical in my opinion. Comfortable room and clean.
The on-site parking is not free but it’s another reason I chose to stay here, convenient !
The staffs are so nice and helpful!!
- SERGIO (8/5): - Great location and friendly staff. However, the rooms have a chic but poorly functional design. The bathroom in particular, you have to walk through the shower to access the sink or toilet. It means wet feet going to the toilet or sink after a shower??
- Noah (10/5): - Arrived late at night, simple and easy check in. Walking distance to all the core areas of Nantes. The aperitivo feature was lovely and the staff showed immense pride in their work. Would def recommend and will def stay there again the next time in Nantes.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Nice modern hotel in downtown Nantes. Friendly staff and a nice common area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - New hotel and great staff.
- Ronald (8/5): A good choice. - During the lock down, so we could not enjoy all the facilities but we were made very welcome and with the measures taken we felt safe there. Very well situated for an appointment at The Prefecture. Breakfast served in the room, obligatory, was good, but a bit overpriced. The car park under the hotel was very convenient. I am glad I was not driving a wide car or a stretched limo. I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ok
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The bathroom smelled like Urine. Parking is a block away. Bed was comfortable. Business lounge is nice. Awful gym, barely one machine.
- Antonella (10/5): Stay here! - Could not recommend this hotel enough. It exceeded all of our expectations. First of all the decor is really beautiful. Layout of rooms, although compact, is functional. Staff are very friendly. And the snacks throughout the day top everything off. Amazing in all aspects. 10/10
- Daniel (8/5): - The OKKO hotel in Nantes is a great concept. A very basic dinner, drinks voucher and breakfast is included in the room price. Reception and catering staff are very friendly, most with a good command of English. The rather small rooms are decorated in a modern contemporary style, although you can see the wear in several places. The bathroom concept is very strange, and I found the shower/toilet door leaking.
Parking is a nightmare, and you must call the hotel directly to book a parking space, This isn't offered on hotels.com.
Otherwise an enjoyable stay for one night.
- RUTHI (10/5): Highly recommended. - It was amazing place. Near most places to see. very helpful staff. excellent breakfast. Will be chosen at this hotel again
- Verified traveler (8/5): Raymond Penn and his mistress had a great time. - Raymond Penn here. Our stay at OKKO was delightful. The room was comfortable, and had a very exciting selection of 'films' available for free on the television. Down in the CLUB, we took advantage of the wide array of breads on offer, though not as much as some of the other guests. The WiFi was as hot as the Sencha Green tea. We will be back, mark my words.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were wonderful and exceptionally friendly.
It was great to have coffee and treats available.
We did not enjoy going through the shower to get to the toilet.
- Joe (8/5): - Great location, nice hotel.
Great Happy hour with drinks and food. The staff is great, always smile and helpfull
- Chun (10/5): - This is an efficiently run place with a nice public area with food and coffee and friendly stuffs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel with a difference. - Fantastic hotel.
Comfortable room, great bed and a fabulous sleep.
The lounge is a great idea - free snacks and drinks 24/7
A truly special hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Le concept de l’apéro / l’aire commune.
Les excellents petits déjeuners.
Le service hyper courtois.
L’emplacement.
Ce qui était moins pratique, c’est la disposition de la douche par rapport à la toilette et à l’évier.
- Cecilia (10/5): - Comfortable room, fabulous food and friendly service.
- sander (8/5): okko is fun - great
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel exceeded our expectations. Excellent location, friendly and professional personnel, we love the hotel style, the food, the rooms. We will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great food, super comfortable bed, friendly staff, central location. It has it all.
- ora (8/5): - The problem was only the parking.no parking
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location to explore City, close to Cathedral, Chateau, walking distance to eateries, Opera area, La Cigale restaurant and the Iles de Nantes.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We liked everything about the property. The breakfast and evening anti pasti snacks and free drink were excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The toilet and bathroom was a big strange but quirky and the rain shower worked well. The soap and shower shampoo and wash were nuxe. The location was in the old town close to the very lovely chateau. It was also close to bars restaurants and shops and the river. All in all we loved this hotel
- Dave (10/5): - Positioned perfectly for covering all aspects of Nantes, all within walking distances. Near but surprisingly quiet and only 1hour flight away
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, available parking and modern stylish clean accommodation.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice room design with practical club room where guest can drink and chat. Good location and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cute comfortable place. One of ‘economy’ type hotels with no real restaurant or bar. Very nice lounge area with a free drink during happy hour. Kind of strange set up in a room that you have to get through shower on a way to bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A lovely hotel in a great location.
We felt welcome from the moment that we arrived.
The Club room was such a great idea .... A nice place to chill out after a busy day (or evening). We really enjoyed the free drink and local food that they provided each evening ... A great touch!
Our room.was comfortable. It was good to have a Nespresso machine .. Good way to start the day.
We loved everything about Nantes and this hotel .... We WILL return.
