• Missy (6/5): - The bed was very hard and if you want quiet this is not the place . The check in agents (not the security they were great ) the actual hotel agents were both VERY rude and not helpful at all .

• KYLE (2/5): Do not stay here - Was 90 degrees in New York and the air conditioner was broken. Was like a sauna in there. The roof was also leaking and making an annoying drip sound every 5 seconds. Impossible for my family to sleep under those conditions. The “reception” room was in a closet and had a long line for check in. They charged a $100 cash only security deposit and have yet to refund it even though we were barely in the room. Guessing I’m never going to see that $100. We were supposed to stop by to get it during checkout but there was no one in the closet and we had to leave to catch a flight. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is the only negative review I’ve ever left.

• Christian (2/5): The worst possible experience! - It was a terrible stay even in every possible way. We booked it way in advance for a family trip because we thought it would be a good choice for a family as it offered a small kitchen. We tried cancelling it with about a months notice and it was not allowed. When we got there it was dirty, it smelled bad, linens were dirty and just terrible overall. We booked for 3 nights and slept there the first night but It was so bad we decided to book a hotel and not sleep there and just use it as storage for luggage. The night we slept there if felt like a college dorm with noice all night long, people coming in and out at all hours. To finish things off the check out was at 10am. Its the first time Ive seen a 10am checkout in my life. But they offered later checkout for additional price. It seemed they wanted to make an extra $10 on everything they could without worry of how bad the experience was. So when I arrived at 10:30 from the other hotel which was a marriot that cost less and was 1,000 times better to pick up my things I paid a late check out fee. Just overall a terrible terrible experience.

Loved the area, u can go anywhere from there, few blocks away is the empire state building. Times square, madison square garden, safe to walk, clean, people at front desk are nice and polite.
• binh (2/5): Never stay here again - We stayed for 1 night and it was a terrible experience from reservation to check out. We picked the place because of 2 good factors we saw online: location and a third twin bed. And because of those we ignored red flags along the way and ruined our short trip to New York. First, the tax collected was seventy percent of the advertised rate. I am sure the city tax and fee and a hotel fee would not amount to that much. Second, they required an additional cash deposit amounts to half of the rate. Third, they sent us a long and complicated check-in/out process and again reminded about the cash deposit. Fourth, the place looked decent at first but dishes/utensils were not cleaned so we did not touch any of them. There was constant loud noise in the hallway from other renters at night until 3-4am. We could not sleep and decided to go home early. Fifth, we left the room around 7:30am but could not find anyone to get our cash deposit back. We talked to the security guy (the most helpful person at this place) he took our info. and promised to pass it to the person in charge. We got home and got a text from the person in charge telling us we broke a chair and deducted it from the deposit. We did not even sit on any of those metal chairs. So, after a few text messages, we got our remaining deposit back via Zelle. Please stay away from this place. In NYC, there are many other options with similar or better rates and definitely a better stay
• Verified traveler (2/5): - The picture on the online and the room was completely different. On the picture it’s beautiful and the room doesn’t line the picture and it’s cheating. The floor is dirty and the microwave is not working. You have to pay 100.00 deposit for dirty room on arrival. Please do not rent room 204 and 205. It’s very dirty and it dose not match with the picture. The only thing I stayed in there was I couldn’t find any available room nearby.
• Geoffrey (4/5): Bad service and sketchy accommodations - We did not feel safe on the premises. It did not help that the owner required a cash security deposit - very sketchy. We immediately found other arrangements. When trying to check out and retrieve our security deposit, owner was very inflexible and required us to adapt to his preferred schedule. Terrible customer experience.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - First, the clerk was extremely rude and hostile, along with many miscommunication issues regarding check in. We also woke up around 1am to the cabinets leaking water enough to make a small puddle below the sink.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - This property is not safe I will never stay there. I was place on the 9th Floor with a broken open window, There wasn't any safety bars on the window. My room was filthy and it looked like bugs were on the bed. The bathroom was not clean a dirty soap bar was still in the shower. I walked in the room saw all this and walked right back out and stayed at the Hyatt Hotel next store.
• Marla L. (2/5): Don’t stay here - The listing is false. The photo of the outside is the Macy’s store nearby, not the apartment building. The listing says it overlooks the Empire State Building, but the apartment had no window. Our TV did not work and the faucet was broken - management did not fix these. We ran out of toilet paper, but the office was closed for the rest of our stay. We had to use napkins we gathered from restaurants.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - My family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children - spent 5 nights in Apartment #5. The apartment was clean and well-maintained. Check-in and check-out were very easy. They let us check in early and we were able to leave our bags for a small fee on our check-out day. This is a corner apartment with windows on two sides - you can see Macy's and the Empire State building from the windows. What a great location! We were one block from the nearest subway station, so getting around town was very convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The room served its purpose, but I would not call it a twin bed, it was more like a cot. The air conditioner was very outdated and there was no cool air. The person at the front desk was rude.

• Kristina (6/5): Great location, terrible room - We wanted to visit for the weekend and needed a place that could sleep 5 people. None of the hotels in the area had that option unless we booked 2 rooms, which would be ridiculously expensive. We found this apartment for a decent price in the location we wanted to be in. The cons: The picture of the room is completely inaccurate. What you actually get is a small, cramped room with hardly any room to move and a window looking into a strange bricked in pit between apartments. The building was run down and smelled like urine. The air conditioner unit was too small to cool the room while we were visiting on a 90° weekend. The kitchen sink only had hot water. The elevators were small and slow and smelled like possibly water damaged. The Pros: Checking in and out was easy. There is 24 hour security. Linens were clean. The bathroom was fine with hot water in the shower. The location was perfect and walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, 5th Avenue, etc. Three subway stations are within 3 blocks if the building. Free street parking on weekends.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location and optimal ratio of cost per person. Need to have some patience with the bathroom that was clean but the had an almost clogged sink. Some part of the building have a bad smell, but not the area were my apartment was located. Very useful the kitchen. very important were you are with children and would like to give them a proper food at least once a day.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Pass - You have to self-maintain the apartment yet things aren’t functional, e.g. no towel racks, things are poky and furniture flimsy. We had a young family and stayed in a room across from marijuana smokers, reported the ongoing stench and stayed for several days, no one did anything as it continued, there was even an air freshener installed in the corridor which made me think it was simply accepted.

The price was low because they do not offer the amenities that actual hotels offer. We definitely did not mind having someone clean the room everyday. It was nice having a separate bedroom and living area which is great for having kids try to sleep before the parents. I have to say the security on weekday evenings was very helpful and pleasant guy. I would recommend this property to someone who wants privacy and does not mind cleaning up after themselves. I would have to say the only problem we had was the neighboring apartment was smoking although we were staying in a non smoking apartment. The smell filled our bedroom. I reported it and they seemed concerned but the occupant continued to smoke. Past that, a great place to stay.

The staff member at the office was very helpful and accommodating. The building itself is an older building, with lots of exposed brick and lovely details. The location was great for us. We walked to or from Times Square every day of our visit. 3 blocks from Penn Station meant we didn't have to spend a dime on a taxi or uber. Very glad we didn't listen to the negative reviews and skip staying here. We weren't charged any extra fees, but we did choose to utilize the late check out option and that was nice. An amazing experience and trip for our party of five!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Let's start by saying I am not an overly picky person. My 17 year old daughter and I went to NYC for 3 days, much of which our time was spent outside. The apartment was beautiful with wood floors and brick walls, which I love. The room was clean and every piece of furniture in the room served a purpose. The lady whom checked us in was extremely accomodating and we were able to check into our room hours before check-in time. I'm not saying this will be available for everyone, but it was a nice surprise. It was in an excellent location near Times Square and Union Station. I will stay there again!

• Lavanya (4/5): - booked for 6 people room, told as apartment but very small room and bath, very inconvenient for 4 adults and 2 kids. Old building with smell but really good location.
• Sean (6/5): First big Apple stay - First stay in NYC so not much to compare to. The contact guy was really friendly, right in Korea Town so easy access to Herald's Square, Penn Station, Empire State building. Stovetop, normal fridge basic cooking ware and microwave,typical small NYC apartment. Overall a decent short term place to stay
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Only 1 elevator working during our stay. The morning of our checkout, the elevator stopped working. We carried our luggages down 6 flight of stairs. The stairwell was dark, spiral, and narrow. We stayed here only because it sleep 6 people. We did expect this place to be old. Clean linens. The floor was swept but definitely not thoroughly mopped (my feet turned dirty-black from walking bare). Regardless, we didnt have kids with us and our knees still allowed us to go up and down the stairs. Just needed a place to sleep and shower.
• BELINDA (8/5): Centrally located near time square - This is an apartment that has a manager 9-5 pm. Read check in instructions well. The room is nice and spacious with large beds and kitchenette. Modern TV and updated showers. This building is very quiet at night and you can get plenty of rest. This place is not a hotel. It's an apartment and it does look just like the pictures on the website, I loved the wood floors and the old New York feeling.
• kenneth (6/5): okay - the location is at the center of manhattan. the room's space is just enough for 6 people. it is clean. bathroom can still be improved. the lobby and corridors needs a lot of improvement and cleaning. to attract more visitors and justify the price. its like $307 per night (net). tv is not working.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Just first of all, this is not a hotel. This is an apartment unit. The room was very clean with basic kitchen stuff. The location was very good, and there are many Korean restaurants. It was very good that there was a Korean supermarket right in front of the apartment. However, this place is too expensive! I stayed with my family for two nights. It was about $289 per night plus tax recover charges, which was about $210. So for the two-night stay, I paid about $790. In addition, because we left our bags after the check-out in the "hotel" staff's office, I paid additional $15. So a total cost for the two nights exceeded $800. Given the cost, I would rather stay at a "hotel" instead of this apartment unit next time. Moreover, the hotel staff stays in his office between 9 and 5. This was very inconvenient. The water pressure for shower was very weak.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - There are renovations going on which make it very uncomfortable. But the bottom line is that it is outrageously overpriced even for new york. There is a $100 service fee tacked onto the rm charge making it nearly $500 per night with tax. Check out is 10 AM. They charge another $25 to keep it till noon. For a dirty cramped building with only one slow small working elevator. One of the beds was disfunctional and that should have been spotted and attended to before they tried to rent the room. Had I not been there before 5 pm there would have been no one on the premises to replace it till the next day without a big hassle. This was a $75 per night hostel type building.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Don't risk your life by staying here............ - They need to remove pix from website, total misrepresentation. No AC and no way to turn down the heat. Lot's of noise from other rooms nearby late at night. Poor service and NO SMOKE DETECTOR IN THE ROOM. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE AFTER 6PM. My only favorable comment is it's close to MSG.
• J$ (2/5): Not as advertised - The hotel room in the picture was much larger and nicer than the one we were given. The elevator was out and we had to walk up five flights of stairs on multiple occasions. The price was outrageous for what we got. I wouldn’t stay here again.
• Dorothy (6/5): Not worth the money - When we arrived, nobody was available to check us in. We were told by security to go to a room that was actually a laundry room. After locating the correct door for check in, it was locked and but there was a number to call on the door. No answer and no call back. I then called Expedia and remained on hold for 15min while they tried to called. A man from a different company helped us and after 45min of trying the cleaning lady finally gave us our keys. We never saw the check in guy who was supossingly getting a cup a coffee. The elevator was from the stone ages and you had to pass the “trash room” that dam near knocked you off your feet while walking by to get to the room. The beds didn’t have box springs either, just mattresses. The location isn’t the safest either. Snap chat filters came up as “Korea Town”, I would suggest googling it and doing your own research.
