Guest Reviews

- Amy (8/5): - Our room was huge and very charming. The beds were comfortable and the location was great. There was no reception or option to check in until 5pm so we we weren't even sure where we could leave our suitcases until that time.
- Brian (7/5): A few nights in the Villa Solitude - Very pleasant, chilled out environment. Didn't really have any dislikes.

- Doris (8/5): - Zentrale Lage, sehr gutes Essen, sehr freundliche entgegenkommende Restaurantleiterin, sehr saubere Zimmer,
- M. (8/5): - Wunderbares historisches, toll saniertes Haus. Alles erhalten, sehr gemütlich, grosszügige Zimmer.
- bengt (9/5): - Great old house with atmosphere! Very large room. No WiFi in the room.
Breakfast didn’t start until 08:00. Then impossible to be at the slope when the lifts opens.
- Damir (10/5): - Lokacija i parking
- Annette (9/5): - Stilvolles Hotel in außergewöhnlicher Lage.
Sehr freundliches Personal.

- Yaakov (10/5): - וילה מדהימה עם ארוחת בוקר במסעדה מתחת במרכז העיר סמוך לנהר הזורם

- Hugh (8/5): Great place to stay on Alpe Adria bike trip - Great location overlooking the valley. Staff very helpful with questions about where to catch a bus and even phoned the bus company to confirm location. Good breakfast with vegan and gluten free options.
- Kim (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was good Ni wifi
Only time we saw anyone in hotel as at breakfast
- Mafalda (9/5): Truly magical! - I really enjoyed the atmosphere, decoration and how helpful the staff was! I felt like was in a movie while staying, truly magical! This is more a critique for booking rather the property: The way booking shows your reservation is misleading on what room you are actually going to stay in, since the room we stayed didn’t matched the photos booking showed! We wanted a room with bathtub (which was included following the pictures and info of our reservation) and the one given to us initially didn’t had it. However the staff quickly changed our room after we spoke with them! So if I was visiting again and wanted a specific room I would call Villa Solitude to request it!
- Ekaterina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Torok (5/5): Passable -
- Stan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ken (8/5): Very good - NO breakfast was offered.
- Themistocles (9/5): Superb - Excellent location. Great value. Great restaurant. The hotel room and particularly the bathroom could use some attention. Bathroom curtains were torn etc
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Such a fabulous place to stay! - This was an amazing hotel. The views were stunning, the beds comfortable, and the town amazing. Everything was amazing!
- Ekaterina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good - The location was good, the staff were friendly and room was comfortable and clean I expected more from the breakfasts considering what I paid.
- Christine (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Bad Gastein!! - This hotel is beautiful ! Nicely maintained. The room I had was large, clean, very nice bed, sitting area, and the decorating… gorgeous! I had many big windows to open for fresh mountain air and also window boxes with flowers. The bathroom was perfect.. nice tub/ shower with great water pressure. It was 7 minute walk to bus stop, and very close to train station too. The waterfall is basically right below the hotel. They have a beautiful restaurant with an outside deck/patio with scenic views and you can listen to the waterfall. There is a sitting/reading room in the hotel that is large and beautiful. Staff was very kind. The only issue I had was the electrical outlets. There were many of them but all didnt seem to work well. I thought it was my chords, but it was the outlets. It worked just fine in the bathroom. This does not change my review of the hotel though.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional - Karen was amazing.
- Andreas (9/5): Beautiful - Stunning classic beautifully kept Because of its classic construction
Internet is somewhat unavailable
Not a big deal ,but a deal.
- Marisa (8/5): Very good -
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ron (10/5): Perfect - Breakfast at Villa Solitude cost more than the actual accommodation stay !! It was a complete rip-off the prices they were charging. It was all good
- Camilla (6/5): A lovely old villa, but it was very cold and at times seemed a bit deserted. Overall a good stay -
- Stephanus (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): we had a really wonderful stay, thank you - lovely hotel with so many original features. Clean and tidy and really friendly staff no tea facilities in the room.
- Damien (7/5): Beautiful room, beautiful views, pleasant staff, but a bad bed - The villa is nestled in the heart of Bad Gastein, with incredible views of the valley and mountains. The restaurant served great dinners (particularly the New Year's Eve dinner), whilst the breakfast was good. The room was decorated with beautiful wooden panels and the decor was of a classical style. The room felt well looked after, even with scratches in the wooden panels. The staff were always pleasant and incredibly helpful - even when we encountered language barriers! The room had its own lounge area, that was also comfortable. The bed by far was the biggest let down of the accommodation. The room was advertised as having a "large double bed", but instead if was two single beds pushed together. The mattresses themselves were thin, spring mattresses on top of a simple wooden frame that creaked every time you moved. Several times we woke up with sore backs.
- Balint (9/5): Butique Hotel feeling in the heart of Bad Gastein - Prime location and view, style, ease of access, free parking, leisure room with piano and tee for free use of guests First / second floor room with no elevator (with small kids a little difficult), no wifi on second floor
- Robert (10/5): great place to stay - antique fixtures and historical hotel nothing
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Beautifully located old style mansion, very comfortable
- Marc (7/5): Good -
- Andreas (8/5): A nice, quiet place for relaxing - Very nice and cosy place. Quiet and saw now other guests other than the cars parked outside. Very large room(s), like a smaller apartment. Great view and the owner(?) welcomed us when we arrived. She also gave us good advices of what to do and where to go in the area. The restaurant was closed, so there were no breakfast. Since we had breakfast included they had arraged so that we could eat at a café down the block. We got told that it should be like that only the first night (of two), but it was closed again the second day. So back to the café.
The room was a bit cold at night/morning.
