Guest Reviews
- Sheila (4/5): - I have a service dog. It is against the law to ask for a deposit for a service dog. When i questioned them on this, they said it really wasnt a pet deposit, it was just a general deposit...although they made me sign a pet policy form. The room was okay but not really nice at all. Basic. The breakfast was the worst ive seen. I had a choice of a stale little muffin probably purchased at Walmart. Terrible coffee with cheap powdered creamer. Corn flakes or FruitLoops with what looked like powdered milk. I didnt taste it becasue it didnt look right. Maybe it was watered down milk. There were some shady ladies hanging around. I dont recommend this place at all.
- Erik (10/5): - Might not look like much outside, but was very clean inside and was the only budget friendly place anywhere in the area. Staff was very friendly, was perfect for a quick stop on a long drive, would stay here again.
- Rhonda (10/5): Nice place - Nice Hotel!! Pet friendly. A little dated but updated and clean, quiet and great location. Staff was very friendly. Pet deposit of $150 and $30 pet fee added to room cost.
- Al (10/5): - The rooms were clean
- Corey (10/5): - All was good
- Mary Elizabeth (6/5): - The room was clean and it is okay if you just need a place to sleep. However, the breakfast is lacking and so that was a bummer.
- Timothy (4/5): - Too close to major road. View just a dirty parking lot. No coffee in room. Breakfast just cereal and coffee was out both days I stayed. Constant leaf blower while I was there. Overall definitely needs to be updated.
- Gina (6/5): - It was okay for the price
- John (10/5): - Nice affordable place to stay
- Roxanne (2/5): - Bugs, accused me of stain on blanket but was on it when I arrived
- Dwayne (8/5): - Breakfast with room is some what wanting, cold cereal out of milk, bit size muffin were good, bread was not looking fresh. No jam or butter old peanut spread. Coffee only to drink, non coffee drinks were left with no options.
Rooms were clean and looking updated.
- Joe (10/5): - Property was a nice place to stop for the night.
- Susan (10/5): - Clean, friendly staff and comfortable beds. Not all the frills but just what we needed!
- Dwight (2/5): Several people acting as one confusing guests - This hotel makes you pay extra regardless so be prepared for that extra charge when you check in. There is no heat I had to go buy a heater myself and they wanted me to pay extra for my service dog which I had paperwork for
- Louise (2/5): - There is a deposit refund fee.
- Shannon (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful.i had a issue with the TV and they were quick to call and get my stuff rectified.Absolutly amazing
- Douglas C (4/5): - Service was not friendly and breakfast was cold coffee and service station muffins stale and no breakfast room served set out enterance
- Douglas (4/5): - Like all hotels, America’s Best requires a security deposit be paid for a room. Unlike any other hotel I ever visited, America’s Best charges a $5 non-refundable fee for placing this hold on a credit card!
- V-Etta (8/5): - Property in midst of renovations. Some done, some not. Our room was nice but some concrete had been torn out outside and not replaced. Uneven surfaces to be crossed by patrons. Also, advertised 'hot breakfast' which didn't happen. Breakfast was a choice between two sweetened kids cereals. Nothing appropriate for diabetics like my sister or myself.
- Greg (2/5): You stay, I won’t! - Horrid! Front desk was horrible! Doing construction! Only one nasty washer. Breakfast included cereal and coffee! No.
- Tiffany (2/5): Awful stay. Not quiet. Not safe. - I got a king suite. There was no furniture what so ever. The more concerning part, is that there were no locks on my door. The bolt and the crossover latch were both missing. They were renovating, which was fine. But I also paid my stay up front and then owed a deposit upon arrival, which makes absolutely no sense, especially considering the room wasn’t even up to par. There were fruit flies in my room as well. No amenities offered as on website.
- Jacoby (10/5): - Great
- Andrew (2/5): - Do not go here worst service i have ever had would not refund money room was dirty bathroom was nasty snelled bad
- Christopher (8/5): - Good value for the money. Getting dated and could use some upgrades. Generally quiet and very convenient to I-65 and the parkways. Kiddie breakfast only (cereal)
- Mary (6/5): - The Hotel wasn't bad the staff was quite rude the first 2 hours I was there the air didn't work and the staff treated me like a Moran over the air if you cab get past the staff it's OK.
- John (6/5): Surprising little place in a little town - Not the newest or most glamorous motel maybe, and the operator could use more humor in his life, but it's a surprisingly nice place and can't be beat for the price. Three of us stayed in one room on the way to see the eclipse. Fridge, microwave, cable TV, and a bath tub. All the regular conveniences.
- Ashley (2/5): - The temps were in the 20’s when we arrived and the heat was turned off. The room never got warm and we were freezing the whole night.
- Lawrence (10/5): - Good place to chill at... Thank ya.
- Lawrence (8/5): - Good place to chill and rest at...
- Lawrence (8/5): - A good place to relax and chill at.. Good staff.
- Lawrence (8/5): - Good place to relax at...
- JaNeen (2/5): - Pictures didn’t match property. The roof was under construction, the front sign was covered by a tarp, people lived there full time and there were two cop cars out front with lights on. When I “chatted” with an agent at Expedia they said because I didn’t go in and tell them I wasn’t staying there they wouldn’t refund me and charged me a $94 cancellation fee. I had to go down the road and pay a full price for a safe hotel. I couldn’t go in and cancel because the police were in front of the lobby and Expedia would not listen or care about that. It was completely unsafe. Don’t stay here and don’t expect Expedia to be helpful at all when you call to tell them a property isn’t the same in person as on the reservation because they don’t care.
- Paul (6/5): - Staff questioned reservation. Noisy until 12 midnight. Had thunderstorm and infront motel room doors flooded and leaks in room.
- Anthony (2/5): - room was infested with flies, worst hotel experience ive ever had
- Bonnie (10/5): - The room was very clean.
One problem we had was the very short commond. For aging adults a taller commode would b very helpful.
- Brian (4/5): - A rundown motel that charges about double what they should. I only stayed here to escape torrential downpours. Hidden booking fees and no breakfast just added insult to injury. This is a case where you DO NOT get what you pay for—you get way less.
- Norman (4/5): - Called at 10:30 asking we were staying or checking out. Check out was at 11:00. Didn’t being rushed.
- Clint (4/5): - The bed was nice.
The hot water had to be turned on all the way to get a decent shower. Doors open out to the elements, which I consider unsafe. I should’ve chosen the Motel 6. It’s newer, nicer and just as inexpensive.
- lisa (2/5): - When we got there it was a dive junk cars every where they are one of rent by week or month places. Dirty rude and pkace is rundown after booking was told we sold out weeks ago .. Found different motel
- Grace (6/5): - Was a little creepy for my sister snd I but we stayed in the room all night. Smelled like stale cigarette smoke
- Robert (10/5): - It was a good stay.
- shelley (6/5): - Reasonably clean comfortable bed. Old and dated but ok place If you just need a place to sleep
- Karen (8/5): - Clean and affordable.
- Gerald (4/5): Smoke - It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room but it reaked of cigarette smoke.
- Peggy (8/5): Older place but comfortable - Older hotel, newer owner. Working on updates.
Everything was clean, new fixtures and doors.
- Samantha Recina (4/5): - Didn’t look like what pic was on line
- Raymond (2/5): Critters...something... - Unfortunately something was feasting on me and have bites have bumps on leg, arms, and back!
- Keith (4/5): - Addition $5 charge at check in
- Ashes (4/5): Unexplained service fee scam - Upon check in i had to pay a "service fee" that couldnt be explained by the person at the front desk. This place was a dump...a clean dump.. but a dump. Heater smelled like it had burning hair in it and the light above the sink didnt work so i had to do my make up in my vehicle.... so no, i don't think the service fee was in anticipation of "room service" . They are conning peoole that are using booking services. They set their rates to be the same as their competitors and then add extra fees at check in once they have you locked in for a nonrefundable room.
- Robin (8/5): - No coffee maker!!!
- ann marie (10/5): - Terrific stay. Came in for one night on the way to Nashville. Great location. We wanted to stay close to the local brewery. Check in was smooth. Mr. Patel was very friendly. Would stay again.
- Kevin (6/5): - For the price of a place to sleep while driving it was ok.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Place was really old and smelled.
- Erin (6/5): Shady extra charges - We booked the room for my husband and son for a baseball tournament. My other son decided to go last minute. At the check in the desk clerk charged my husband an extra $10 because my husband had two kids in the car. I found that to be a bit ridiculous since most hotels kids stay free and if I had put two kids in the booking the price would have been the same. $10 isn’t much but it seemed a bit shady on the desk clerks part.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Fine for a cheap hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Tv stop working waited about 45 minutes to get fix the front desk clerk wasnot very helpful about answering questions
- Kendra (8/5): Clean. Friendly service - Just needed a place to stop for the night. Kinda pricey but it was last minute and there weren't lots of options. Bed wasn't great but it worked for the purpose I needed.
- Gabriele (8/5): - No coffee maker!
The floor was filthy!
No drain stopper in bath tub or sink!
We were there three nights and trash wasn’t emptied!
- Diane (6/5): Quality of hotel was mediocre at best - Since I was only staying for one night, it was OK. The outside leading up the steps to the room were dirty with used tissues on the stairs. Room did not provide tissues, so not sure where they came from. I would not stay at this hotel again, even for only one night.
- Jocelyn (4/5): - Got a smoking room when asked for non smoking. And it STUNK.
- Shawn (8/5): Phone bad, trip good - Good for what I needed, just wish I had bought my iPhone a little sooner, had a great trip anyway
- Sharon (6/5): No frills - Basic no frills hotel. Pillows were half standard size. Not much support for reading in bed.
- RickBlankenship (4/5): - The room was clean . The shower was barely warm on hot setting . I checked in early and seen room was clean. I got in late and it was cold out so i turned heater on and for all night it was barely warm. There was plenty of covers so i bundled up overnight. I told staff next morning who happened to be outside my door of 201 . I told them of the issues. RECOMMENDATIONS CHECK HOT WATER AND HEAT ASAP IF NOT OK DEMAND A GOOD ROOM OR REFUND
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The price was the best I found; but, I put in for a wakeup call that never happened.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very rude people. No hot water. Rooms smelled of smoke. Never go there again. I would drive further next time
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was not well lit, a homeless person approached me as I was registering. I didn't feel very safe there. The room was very clean although it was old, sign said recently remodeled, it wasn't.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Would stay again if in area. Quiet rooms & everything you need.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Check basics - Insufficient items at bfast counter
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice for the price. Clean, comfort, and affordable.
- Alex (2/5): - Price and service. Unbelievable. They call hot breakfast "cold coffee with nothing". Condition of hotel is also very poor. But prices like for Hilton Garden!
- John (8/5): Good stay - Overall it was a good stay. Nothing fancy priced fairly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is quiet, the room is spacious and the front staff are extremely pleasant.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Was unable to stay had some personal reasons, cancelled the booking
- Kristen (6/5): Just ok - Although it was clean, very few amenities. Decent comfort level and it did the job for a one night stay.
- BOB (8/5): - The motel was better than I expected (other ABV Inns I've stayed in were not that great; this was was very good). My only complaints were that the ice machine didn't work, and -- my complaint with nearly all motels, especially the "luxury" ones: too few available electric outlets. I always end up having to use my outlet strip, and worry that I am overloading some facet of the room's electrical capacity.
- Natasha (8/5): You get what you pay for!! - Not a bad place at all. And the price is not bad at all either!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was very clean and the stuff was very nice
- Verified traveler (4/5): Eh - The area is really sketchy. I arrived late from out of town just to stay one night with a friend to go to the Kentucky derby. There were lots of men outside eyeballing us hard as we were trying to get into our hotel room. The room itself was a little messy. Broken tiles in the shower. Air conditioner smelled like mildew. But all in all, I guess it did the trick for one night
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was very run down! Cob webs all over. No hot water. Bathroom door would not shut all the way. Cracks all over tile. Stay somewhere else. It was the worst hotel I have ever seen.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Its a decent place. Nothing fancy, but thats not what they try to sell. Convenient location, clean room and the bed wasn't horrible. Decent price. Everything that I was looking for. I'd do it again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Old and a little sketchy - The hotel itself is extremely old. I’m pretty sure there were people living there and they were drinking pretty heavily outside, breaking bottles and were pretty loud. Also, breakfast consisted of toast, muffins, cereal, coffee and orange juice. The evening manager was pretty rude as well. Not a good location for families or people with young children.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - old and in disrepair. breakfast was cold cereal and bread. I didn't see any milk. no juice, no coffee. empty counter at 7:00 am on a Sunday morning.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room stinked, there was no safety latch on the door, and the electrical outlet did not work.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Heater blew cold the entire time, poor shower, sink plug unhooked, unstable wifi and on top of that coffee in loby was room temp at 7am
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a good choice - The surrounding seems safe but the cleanliness is too bad. I don't think they washed the sheet. There's foot print on it and also bugs.
