I had booked a room with breakfast at the Letter Hotel Istanbul from September 23 to 27, which stated that it was included, but when I went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast in the morning, they asked me for an additional fee and told me to pay separately, so I did not have breakfast, and when I protested, they did not respond. Also, they gave me a very dirty room on the third floor, which had no window and no elevator, and they did not mention on the booking site that the hotel does not have an elevator. And when I told them that I had difficulty climbing stairs, they did not pay attention. Additionally, the toilet was broken and very dirty. When I flushed it, the floor flooded, and a significant amount of water spilled out from under the bathroom. The housekeeper did not come even once during my 4-day stay. The room smelled heavily of smoke. (I don't smoke.)

• Murat (4/5): - Oda yataklar sıcak su beklediğimden iyiydi. Temizlik bir haftada bir kez. Otel barlar sokağında bu otelin suçu değil ama bilgilendirme açısından Cuma Cumartesi sabah 5 e kadar yüksek ses müzik uyumak imkansız otelin ses yalıtımı yok. Hafta içinde gece 2 ye kadar müzik.

• Maria (8/5): Nice, small hotel in the very heart of the city - Nice, small hotel in the heart of the city. Clean room, good wi-fi, friendly staff.
• MARIA (5/5): not sure I would come back - Great location. Breakfast was included into the price everything is very old in the hotel and the triple room is really small. There are only a couple of rooms with a good view. From midnight until checkout there was no running water, we could not use the toilet or take a shower and the staff could not do anything about it (but they could at least bring us a bucket of water so that we could use the toilet!).

• Euge76 (5/5): One night stay for late travellers - For one night stay and the price of 22 euros the hotel met my expectations and I got all basic comfort you expect from the hotel. It is a good place for young people who are looking for a nightlife of Istanbul. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable (or maybe I was too tired after a long trip). 24 hours check in is very good for the late travellers. Just 15 min walk from Taxim and the airport shuttle. There was no window in the room and I have not found any information about that during booking the hotel. When I arrived at 1.30 am the walls of the hotel were literally trembling from the sound coming from the adjacent club and it stopped only by 3am. My room was really asking to be renovated. I doubt the quality of the cleaning in that hotel because I had a towel with strange stains (still hope that towel met the laundry before meeting me).

Sometimes the electricity in the rooms was cut off. 4. My sister was taking a shower when the building's water supply was cut off. 5. The sheets were not clean. 6. Every time we needed coffee, they gave us less than the number of people. 7. The toilet tank flush was broken and the toilet floor was always wet and slippery.

• Andrei (5/5): OK for a short overnight stay - An excellent location, easy to find, friendly staff, correct WiFi. Water boiler + tea bags in the room. Air conditioner OK. I got a very generous price offer and stayed just one night so I should not really complain, but there was no water (tub / toilet / shower) whatsoever throughout, just in bottles in nearby shops. The staff said, it was a local network failure. The room with no windows, steep stairs without elevator - but this could have been anticipated from other reports.

They quickly gave me keys to a bigger room that was clean, but the place is just pretty dingy and not in great shape. Mold in the showers, light switches falling out of the walls, etc. Nice staff and great location but definitely budget accommodation!

Really noisy (crowds in the street every day at night), very chich, old and uncomfortable. AC was working but it was difficult to set and really noisy, on the last day there was a blackout, and on the checkuot the were asking us to pay again, though you'r easked to pay on the check in, and we were showing the payment recept on the phone, they wouldn't let us go, we had to argue

Place would be transformed by a deep clean and lick of paint

• Ramila (8/5): Good value for money! - The location was really good as the hotel was situated very close to Taksim square and Istiklal street, and 10 min walk away from Havaist bus stop to airport. The personnel was nice. Cleaning could be better, I found a spider in my room, and there was a detergent residue on the towel.
