The same staff, Mr. Devi and Yusef gave us a friendly welcome back and did everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and very clean, expertly cleaned and tidied daily. Breakfast was the best, a massive choice and freshly cooked to order. We so enjoyed our stay. Thank you Vamana

Je pensais que nous aurons au moins obtenu une réponse ... cela faisait 3 ans que nous allions dans cet établissement je pense que nous allons réviser notre choix pour nos prochaines vacances ..
• Steven (8/5): Turtle beach hotel - Decent hotel in a quieter area of the turtle beach strip. Breakfast buffet was quite nice and included cooked to order omelettes, and the service was friendly. The room is large and quite clean, except that the mattress smelt quite musty. I appreciated the air freshener they used to mask the smell from the heavy smokers in the rooms adjacent though and that they cleaned the room while we ate breakfast. Very thoughtful.

• jiwon (10/5): 친절, 청결, 위치 완벽한 숙소. - 길리섬 호텔에 대한 한국인이 기재한 리뷰나 정보가 많이 없어서 고민했는데, 오로지 거북이를 보겠다는 일념으로 선정한 이 호텔은 정말 최고였다. 일단 친절하고, 조식도 맛있고, 위치도 스노쿨링 하기에 제격에다가, 숙소 안도 청결하였다. 한가지 아쉬운 점은 방 안에 화장실과 욕실이 나뉘어져 있다는 것? 이외에는 청결하고 분위기 있고 조용하고 매우 좋았다. 호텔 주인이 얼마나 친절하냐면, 준비하다 조급하게 자전거를 대여하여 선셋을 보러 길리옴박으로 가려는데, 자전거를 직접 대여해주고 위치를 친절하게 알려주었다. 직원들도 늘 웃는 얼굴이었고, 기분 좋게 길리섬에 대해 추억할 수 있었다. 다시 길리를 가게 된다면 본 호텔에 머물 것이다.

Most of all - great service from the team there. Only about 15mins walk from the port bit nice and quiet with direct beach access. Would definitely come back.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Gili Trawahan - The Vamana is a nice, clean, quiet accommodation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are located on the beach near turtle point, a snorkeling and diving area. We wouldn't return to Gili T as we didn't find the overall environment here appealing. It was crowded, and the island's infrastructure is very stressed. We cut our snorkel experience short due to the plastic trash suspended in the water.

Buffet breakfast was not really a buffet as you can only place one order per person. We got eggs and had to pay for pancakes. Pool is a good size and beach is good for snorkeling. Overall a pleasant stay.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Gili T. is the best! - Great location, close enough to "town", but away from the noise. And the perfect beach to snorkel on. Any questions you have, just ask Andy at the front. He can help you get snorkel gear, bikes, arrange for your ferry, or horse cart. A/C didn't work really well in our room, and a few mosquitos do get in the room when they are cleaning - wish they had mosquito netting & maybe a fan as well. But otherwise, would totally stay here again!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely hotel - This hotel should be rated more than 3.5 stars. This was a lovely hotel located right on the beach. The room was nice and clean and so was the pool area. The beach is on a good location with lounge chairs and the area where you can swim. The location to me was perfect. It wasn't in the busy loud section of town where it was noisy when you wanted to sleep, but it was walking distance to the pier and night market and bars. You can also rent bikes here for 50k rupiah a day and bike the whole island in about an hour. I definitely reccomend this hotel to anyone. Also on a side note: the ombak hotel is a great place to have a drink and watch the sunset and take a picture on their swings! Great hotel but not in the area you can swim on the beach.
• ms mountains (8/5): Warm and friendly - We had a marvellous holiday at Gili Trawangan and our stay at Hotel Vamana was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Andy on the front desk would answer any question we put to him and always made the effort to ask after our welfare. The staff in the restaurant were just as friendly and we were always greeted warmly when we returned home. Just out of the party section of the Main Street, the location was ideal for us. Much quieter that right in the busy part of town and away from the many western style resorts we found the spot peaceful and relaxed. Snorkelling at the front of the hotel we saw turtles on most days. What a spot! Thank you Vamana!

• Erica (10/5): Best staff and service on the Gili T. - The hotel location was great, just out of the hustle and bustle so it was nice and chilled, but it was close enough that you could walk or ride a bike to have a drink or meal, although the bar at Vamana was perfectly fine as it was beach front and had a prefect view and the yummiest mojitos, and the bar staff were the best! The room smelt delicious like flowers and was super clean and tidy with a great shower. The grounds and pool area was great. The staff really make the place, from the manager to the bar staff and the housekeeping - just a wonderful warm welcoming bunch of people who Vamana should be very proud to have employed with them. They make it feel like an island home. We'll be back for sure.

• Mark (6/5): Great hotel with a little improvement 4 1/2 stars - I definitely enjoyed the hotel. It is on the beach, on tge edge of town yet close enough to walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The reson for the low number of stars which would be simple to improve... The sink didn't drain and took a day to fix. There wasn't any soap in the room. There were only 2 thin pillows on a king size bed. There were only 2 bath towels and 1 hand towel. No wash cloths. The bed was a little sandy on the first night. Again once these issues were solved, I Definitely enjoyed the hotel. I suggest renting bicycles at the front desk and driving around the island.
• Marcia (6/5): Disappointed - it could be fantastic - A mixed review of good & bad. I wouldn't book this hotel again, here is why. The rooms and hotel are lovely. The pool is also a good size, it's off to the side of the hotel, but there is only 1 chair to sit on - so not good for lounging if there is more than 1 of you. The ocean is opposite the hotel. The beach is great for snorkeling but not the cleanest, it has rubbish the whole way along it. What really let the hotel down was the lack of service in the restaurant, they are basically lazy and can't be bothered serving you. They avoid doing any work. As a result no one goes to their restaurant, but all the eating places around the hotel are thriving. On New Years Day we waited over 25 min for a drink and over an 1hr for the worst tasting food, as the staff were too hung over to work. They told that to a table next to us that had been waiting an hr for their food and only then that they'd forgotten to put their order through to the kitchen. Besides the great rooms, I wouldn't book this hotel again.

• Mrs. Vivienne (8/5): My 'Chill Out' Break on my own. - I was there for 6 nights and enjoyed my stay immensely. The staff were very friendly and helpful in all ways. Food was good but not much variety but probably because is was low season. The rooms were clean and serviced. It was at the quiet end of Gili T, which I really liked and the snorkling just straight in front and to the north was great. The pool was clean but needed a bit of repair work on the tiles. Could do with a lounging chair in the room as had to sit on the bed for comfort. Would return there if I went back to Gili T.
• C. (10/5): Why bother wit Bali when there's Gili T and Vamana - I can't speak highly enough about the Vamana. While Gili T is amazing, it is the staff that made this the most enjoyable holiday ever! They aren;t just staff, they are now friends. Mason, the Manager is a great guy who has built a team of people that not only bend over backwards to help, but genuinely enjoy doing so. Sorry Bali, I'll be skipping you in the future to only stay at Gili or Lombok, where care of guests is the No 1 priority. Love your work!

The Hotel is located on the main side of the island a short walk away from the livelier bars and restaurants. We loved our time on Gili T so much. By far the best place we have ever been to.

Overall excellent stay - only things are sometimes the breakfast buffet is not refilled and you are sometimes left waiting but overall throughly enjoyed my stay. Room clean, big and comfortable. Peaceful and quiet and away from central strip which was a blessing. Highlight was breakfast each on the beach - even more so when we saw turtles! Would definitely recommend for all whether single/family/couple.

• Ricando (6/5): Average. Could Be Better - “Could be better” 3 of 5 stars the hotel is average. We were quite worried of bed bugs as the reviewers before us stayed there and mentioned they were bitten by bed bugs. Since we have booked and we could not cancel it, we just gamble and hoped we would not get the room with bed bugs. We checked in room 12 and it was Ok. We did open the bed sheets and the pillow cover to see if there are moving bugs. There were none. we found 2 dead bed bugs and that's all. so we assumed the bed was already been cleaned. The location of the hotel is nice, far from the noisy crowd, which promotes good sleep and the room quite spacious but the bed, bed sheets, pillow, pillow cover, blankets and the towels are quite old. If the hotel could replace them with the new one it will be very nice. I would give another Star / plus point if they have the new one. • James (10/5): An Amazing place to stay - Initially we had only booked 2 nights at Vamana but after the amazing stay that we had, we decided to stay another 3 nights. The location is awesome, right on the beach with one of the best snorkling spots right out the front. As it is a short walk away from the main party bars and shops it is a peaceful and relaxing spot to stay. The staff was also one of the highlights. Always willing to help in anyway they could and were extremely friendly especially the last night when we all hung out together. I would definatly be recommending this resort to others and will definatly return when we go back to Gili T.
• Kirrily (10/5): Amazing location, great staff - Gili T is by far my favourite place in Bali. If you're looking for a relaxed stay with great snorkeling, this place is for you. The hotel is in a great location, we snorkeled out the front of the hotel everyday and saw many turtles! The staff are super friendly and always willing to help. The hotel only supplied us with a sheet for sleeping (due to the hot weather). We request a blanket and they were happy to supply this. The water pressure isn't great, and a couple of times the power went out (never for very long) but i imagine everywhere on the island is like this. I would recommend bringing reef shoes. Overall a great stay, the hotel is far away from the loud hustle and bustle, but close enough to go out and walk back without it being an issue. Also a great breakfast served on the beach front every morning!

Modern room with shower and toiletries separated. 10 minutes walking from the fast boat drop off and the center, calm and quiet however. Private beach and helpful staff. Don't forget before booking some place on Gili islands, the last fast boat is at 1pm :)

• Ron (10/5): Quiet end of town - We are an older couple and had a 5 night stay at the Vamana Hotel.There are a lot of young backpackers visiting and initially we were worried at first it could be a noisy island. However the hotel is at the quiet end of town and we had no problems at all. The hotel is across from a nice beach with comfortable lounges. It was lovely having breakfast in the restaurant on the beach. You could easily see turtles there when snorkeling.The management and staff were very nice -very friendly and efficient.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Best place on Gili T to stay! - Absolutely loved this place. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotels best attribute is by far the location and the staff. Far enough away from the central area so you don't have the noise but close enough if you want to be a part of the action (15 min walk to main bars etc). Snorkelled right out the front of hotel with turtles! Dawe the hotel manager was amazing nothing was a problem and everything organised in a flash! We had people passing by and wanting to sit at our beach, which is for hotel guests only, because the location is perfect! Hotel is small but has everything you want and is kept in immaculate condition. All of the staff were amazing, it felt like they really wanted you to have a wonderful holiday and would do anything to help make that happen.
• Sally (10/5): Girls from Essex UK - The hotel is classed as being the village, not the centre, the centre is a 5-10 min walk. We found it great to not to be in the hub bub. The staff are friendly and helpful, booked for 3 nights, stayed the week. Do recommend, Internet can be slow at times.
• hoi yan (10/5): Nice room - 1st time travelling to Bali and just spent 1 night here at Gili T island Vamana Resort. It just 15 mins walk fr the pier even though many ppl keep telling us it takes 1 hr to walk there along the road as they are competitors. Clean and quiet room and nice seaview breakfast area. WE jumped into the sea for snorkeling immediately after the breakfast and saw turtle there. Awesome experience. The receptionist staff is nice and friendly and we enjoy the stay very much. Definitely will come back again.

• Julian (8/5): Vamana on Trawangan. A suprise - Booked this place after going through the many hotels on Trawangan. The main thing we were looking for were: 1) Best place to snorkel right out of your door. 2) Good and cosy room 3) Location a bit further away from the bustling area. Conclusion: We were surprised upon arrival on how the design of the room was and how cosy it was. The beach was great and we snorkel right from out hotel doorstep and saw 2 turtles on our first attempt. Heading to the boat arrival area did require some amount of walking. I would put it at about 300 meters at rough estimates but it wasn't too far that we had to take a horse cart (Cidomo). Did however rent a bicycle from our hotel for Rp 50,000 for 24 hours. Daily breakfast that came with the hotel was above expectations and with our 2 day stay there we tried all 3 different breakfast sets. Overall it was a good stay for us and the employees and supervisors were helpful in arranging our snorkelling trips.
• Bali holidays (8/5): Great place to stay in Trawangan - I had a great stay in Vamana resort. It's a modern and clean hotel. The traditional design of the bamboo corridor to access to rooms is amazing. The breakfast on the beach very relaxing and tasty. Unfortunately, we had booked a twin bed room on expedia and it was a single bed that was proposed to us when we arrived that is not normal. Anyway, the staff did their best and arranged a twin bed room for us the second night. The wifi connection, not accessible from the room but only the lobby and resto, is up and down, but it's the case for all the island I would say. The pool is not filled at the right level so the dust and particles are floating without beeing filtered, but still enjoyable. Overall a good stay in that hotel, I would recommend to all.

The villa was so comfortable and spacious that we decided to spend one relaxing full day there. They have a convenient shuttle to take you in to ubud and the staff was very friendly. Far enough from mosque that we never heard blaring in our room. Beautiful hotel. Bamboo patios outside each room add privacy. King bed is comfy, firm - pillows large, plump. Lighting could have been brighter - it's difficult to read. Shower room is awesome - great showerhead, pressure, hot water. Toiletries are soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, Q-Tips, comb. Towels are thick. Use the floor mat - very slippery tiles. Flat screen TV gets 10 channels. 2 are English. Good wi-fi in lobby and at beach grille, but no availability in rooms. Pool is gorgeous, water temp perfect, open 24 hours and lit at night. Big swim towels provided. Pool is much nicer than other hotel pools since it doesn't abut the street. Vamana pool is behind the lobby - totally private. Had we stayed elsewhere, I'd have skipped pool use for lack of privacy. Who wants peds gawking while you swim? Rent bikes at the lobby to venture farther than a few blocks. Circle the island in two hours. Gili has no gas vehicles. Breakfast lacked. Balinese coffee is mud. No way to get a decent coffee on the island. The same three breakfast entrees are offered every day: eggs or cereal or noodles, with meat, toast, fruit. Nothing was good. Since breakfast was included, we ordered eggs daily. Everything else was lovely. I definitely recommend this beautiful hotel.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect stay! - We really enjoyed our stay in Vamana Resort! The hotel is directly at the beach and you can enjoy the service of the hotel staff while relaxing in the sun or jump right into the water for a snorkeling trip (if you're lucky, you'll see some turtles). The beach restaurant is perfect too - you start every day having your breakfast and enjoying the beautiful view. The rooms are good and the pool is nice too, but who wants to stay inside when it is so beautiful right in front of the hotel?! In general, the staff is really friendly and caring; they really want you to enjoy your vacation. Thanks guys!

• james (10/5): When can I come back?! - Very smart and luxurious hotel with wonderful design features. The room corridor is a wonderful bamboo alley design, giving greater privacy. The room was very well designed and elegant, with everything one could wish for. Air con, beautiful marble shower room with hot water and large shower head, safety deposit box, king size bed, free wifi throughout the hotel (good enough to Skype) and a TV if you require some entertainment. The swimming pool area is gorgeous. My only fault that I would comment on is that the pool could have benefitted from skimming with a net a couple of times a day. The manager and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Dawa who always went out of his way to help. As with most hotels on the main street (this is at the top end with plenty of peace and quiet whilst the nightlife is only a minute or two away) the restaurant/bar is on the beach with sunbeds. It was just perfect, from start to finish. And Gili T was charming, particularly with its absence of motorised vehicles.
