Guest Reviews

- Doug (10/5): It was our first time in this part of Texas. We were impressed with the area and friendliness. - Breakfast was good. Loved going to Miguelitos for dinners. Was there for the eclipse and it was a good location to drive up to Uvalde for the event. The only problem was: I booked about 8 months in advance though Booking. When I arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk seemed confused - mainly because I had been issued a new credit card since then. But I found that I was being charged all over again for my stay, even after showing my confirmation and "paid in full" from Booking. After trying to clear it up with various staff, I finally spoke to the manager and she was able to recitify it I think. I will know in a few days when the refund is shown on my banking account.
- Kate (8/5): Very good -
- Leona (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Charles (8/5): - Room was good. Overpriced though. Nice hotel
- Micky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mavroudas (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff, good breakfast, easy check in and check out A small problem with the room, but staff took care of it right away and were very responsive. Wifi wasn't great.
- Stephen (8/5): - Neat and quiet
- Elsa (4/5): Please take pride in the cleanliness of your hotel and remember that you are in the hospitality busi - The location is good. The self serve waffles were great! The gal on staff at the front desk on October 21st had a terrible scowl on her face and seemed very put off that I interrupted her scrolling when I approached her that morning. So much so that after I asked her how she was doing and she continued to frown at me, I told her to never mind and I walked away.
I was going to ask for a different room as my room #313 had a broken toilet seat, a bed that squeaked so much every time we even tried to move, and some kind of generator that ran all night right outside our window. We could also hear the loud ding of the elevator. Our room could have used a thorough cleaning as the carpet wasn’t even vacuumed very well and the bathroom was not very clean. Not a lot of choices on where to stay in this little town but the price gouging was ridiculous!!
- Rodney (10/5): - Good
- Clay (6/5): I was able to get my project completed. - The oatmeal was easily days old but the rest was typical free breakfast fare. Any traveler that has a stay more than one night needs a dresser. I was there a week and the last of a dresser necessitated my having a continual clutter in the room. Thus, creating an environment that was not as restful as I would have liked.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): to expensive - no comment no comment
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Elisa (9/5): Superb - Property and staff great but price is high Cost
- Sinceri (8/5): Enjoy Hampton cost to high for the area - the hotel the cost for the location
- jorge esteban (10/5): Amazing Experience, Highly Recommended - This is by far the best Hampton Inn I've ever stayed. The rooms are super clean and well cared. The hotel smell very clean, the inner hallways smell like new. We also were very surprised by the good conditions of the bathroom, it was super clean, the towels smelled clean. The breakfast was excellent, the restaurant very clean, the area of the buffet breakfast very clean. The quality of the food very good. Congratulations to the staff of this hotel, they were very fliendly and they keep the hotel like new.
- Martha (10/5): - I was very pleased with the cleanliness. It was very easy to check in.
- Sofia (4/5): - My room was to my standards very clean, however my air conditioning was very loud and I was awoken at 4:30 to a loud drip from the room above mine, very disturbing.
- Frank (10/5): - Nice clean room, sanitized, friendly staff very knowledgeable. I recommend this hotel
- Tony (10/5): Excellent - Amazing. Will definitely use this hotel again next year. Staff was verify helpful and friendly along with housekeeping keeping everything clean and in tip top shape every night for us.
- Tracie (8/5): - Over priced
- fiberopticman (10/5): Always the best! - When we visit family we always choose Hampton Inn. I have a corporate discount code for another hotel in Carrizo Springs, but we always stay at the Hampton because of the kind folks, clean rooms and the coffee is always fresh. We will return again and again.
- Luis (10/5): - It wasn't to clean and the microwave didn't work!
- Jose (10/5): - Yes is real clean
- Manuel (6/5): Overpriced - Overpriced for the accommodations probably because of the numerous border police. I'll probably go further down the road next time
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place was very clean. We would recommend this place.
- Josefina (4/5): - There was a seal on the door indicating it was clean and no one had entered. When we entered the room smelled amazing. The issue was when we went into the bathroom there was a loofah and razor in the shower and the sink had toothpaste in the basin and a tooth brush left there. It was very surprising and concerning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very very clean
- Mobile65277523606 (2/5): WAY over priced! No hot breakfast! - $279 per night! What a rip of! Absolutely ridiculous price for what you get and for the area. No hot breakfast! Room next to gym and was very noisy with hall traffic, machines and tv or radio at night.
- Manuel (8/5): - Uneventful everything went well!
- Kathy (10/5): - Very nice
- Mary Carmen (8/5): - Accommodations were clean and safe, however, our package includes breakfast. When we inquired about it, the employee said she was surprised that the bagged breakfast had not been put out, but we were hearing her put them together at the last minute. There was no need to lie. We would have been satisfied with her saying she ran out.
- Verified traveler (10/5): clean - Room was clean
- Jennifer (8/5): I miss the yummy breakfast. - Great hotel and location. Too bad they canceled breakfast due to COVID-19. Hopefully it will be back soon or perhaps they could offer a walk up order station for guests to pick up their breakfast to eat elsewhere.
- Christopher (10/5): - Always friendly staff and great accommodations.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - everything was good except for A/C. It couldn't control temp I had to on and off manually.
- saulgoodmon (4/5): Typical Oilfield Hotel - Typical oilfield hotel. It was nice when it was built, but since has gone downhill. In my room the toilet seat was broken, A/C made noise all night, oil/mud stains in the bathroom from the previous occupants. I wanted a nice hotel and I got an oilfield room.
- donmiller72 (8/5): Repeat Visitor - Whenever I am in this area Hampton is always my first choice. Very clean and quite and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. This Hampton has some of the most comfortable pillows around. Coffee was always hot as was the breakfast food.
- mjtraughber (8/5): Funeral trip to Crystal City - I had never been to either Crystal City nor Carrizo Springs, a funeral service brought me to the area. This hotel is only about a 12 minute drive from Crystal city and being a Hilton honors member I decided to book this hotel. I had a pleasant stay. I did have a hard time connecting to the internet but it wasnt a big deal. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thumbs UP! - Very nice and had no issue or attitude with a special request
- Manny (10/5): - Very clean! Everything very well presented. Will come again!
- John (10/5): - Its the best stay in Carrizo Springs.
- MandyBee81 (10/5): Great stay! - The staff was very friendly, and our room was clean and comfortable. I never would've thought a small town like Carrizo would have such a great hotel. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in town!
- aguerra15 (10/5): Great Say - Had a good experience at this hotel. Clean rooms and professional staff. Convenient 24/7 coffee station. Highly recommend and will continue to use this hotel for future visits to the Crystal City Spinach Festivals.
- Jennie (10/5): - Hampton Inn is always consistent! Also I love having breakfast onsite!
- elsabyrd (2/5): Rates - Rates were unrealistic for location. Staff unwilling to accommodate one day change in reservation. Upped rates by way too much just because of that change even though I have had to stay at this location to visit my dads grave several times. Assistant manager not very friendly!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overnight stay - Hotel and the staff was very nice. Service was good and breakfast is better than a continental breakfast which I had expected.
- Martin (8/5): Not my choice of hotel for the area and price - Overall stay was great! Initial check in recieptionist was watching tv in the breakfast area and the pool was dirty
- Luisher15 (2/5): Poor service - Mud and dirt everywhere and have to get things yourself. The front desk hardly answers your calls. Oilfield personnel has no respect for others. Mess is everywhere. This was a highly recommend place in this town, but might have to try somewhere else, maybe even San Antonio.
- BruceJ308 (8/5): NO CELL SERVICE - Good Experience - Room and Hotel was average to be expected. Staff was very nice and helpful. They need a Cell Signal Booster at the hotel. There is hardly any cell service. You have to go outside of the hotel to get and remain on a call.
- Dan (10/5): - Awesome staff and very clean
- Oliver (10/5): Great stay - Great location very clean and comfortable
- Adrian (10/5): - Housekeeping is very eager to get into room before checkout Haha but other than that a great stay.
- Michelle (8/5): - Good, but a lot of road noise
- Susan19999 (2/5): Terrible customer service - I was looking forward to renting the conference room, I had spoken to someone already that it was ok for me to go by and look at the place. When i went by I spoke with Cindy and she was very very unprofessional and rude and was such in a rush to talk with me about the reservation. Was not satisfied with service at all.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel was very clean and the staff was very attentive. We enjoyed the sitting area on the main floor and actually ate our dinner one evening. Our breakfast food was fresh and we had many choices to pick from. We really enjoyed our stay.
- henryg301 (8/5): Carrizo Hampton - i have stayed at this hotel several times. the staff is friendly. the location is ok. not many restraunts or places to eat nearby. over priced because of the oil field. Breakfast is average. very clean.
- johnlP5636JL (8/5): My first day - Rooms were clean with fresh smell, restrooms well stocked. Checked out the next morning but returned that same afternoon and stayed the rest of the week, so will give a more detailed review for the date in March
- Johnriww (10/5): Another Hilton Bench Mark - When you are in this area of Texas you will not be disappointed when you stay at this hotel. Kash and his crew are very good, they cater to your needs and make you feel welcome. We would highly recommend this location.
- donmiller72 (10/5): Nice Hampton - First time in Carrizo Springs and first time at this Hampton. Very, very nice property. Clean exterior and interior. Quiet room with comfortable bed. Internet connection was strong and the typical Hampton breakfast was delicious.
- Keith (10/5): My New Haunt - Staying here while working in the area. I had a good interaction with hotel staff during check-in, and I had absolutely no issues. The room smelled clean, looked very nice, and was very comfortable. There is a big television, microwave, refrigerator, walk-in shower, and was very quite. I loved that the air conditioner kept that room freezing cold all night, and the breakfast in the morning was packed in a bag in case you left the hotel before 6am. This place will be my haunt in the future.
- jorge (10/5): - I got in late, but the staff was super sweet & took care of me
- Rebecca (10/5): Comfortable - Comfortable! Clean! and Convenient Location off main street!
- J (10/5): - Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.
- Jerrold (10/5): Best place to stay in carrizo! - Perfect for a business stay. Nice room, good amenities and Directv!
- 457ralphf (8/5): Go to in Carrizo Springs - Having talked to other coworkers in my field, I have come to understand Hampton Inn is one of the better places in Carrizo. This is an oilfield town so expect the prices to fluctuate quite a bit. Seems like the prices vary when oilfield industry is busy.
- larrymoerbe (4/5): Not My Best Experience at a Hampton Inn - Prices were jacked up due to oilfield activity in the area. Housekeeping was terrible. Had bugs in my room. Breakfast was not ready on time and was uninspiring. Hotel staff did not follow up on problems encountered with housekeeping and were difficult to locate. My room was left open by housekeeping after they finished. Without a doubt the worst stay at a Hampton Inn that I have ever experienced and I stay over 100 nights a year at Hampton's.
- sonyar93 (2/5): Poor Customer Service - Half of the electricity is out in our room. We called the front desk. No one will answer. My husband went to the lobby and asked the front desk manager to answer the phone. We called again. Manager ignored phone calls. Corporate won’t help either.
- bhinojosa82 (4/5): Terrible customer service and overpriced due to oilfield - Room was overpriced and staff was rude. I was not welcomed when I entered hotel. Check out took for ever. The room is average and the amenities are basic. The alarm clock sucked, I couldn't figure it out so I relied on my phone alarm.
- jlynnsanchez21 (10/5): Best Hotel - This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed at. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very nice and friendly. I would recommend this hotel room. The price was a great price. Pool was clean. Awesome
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and quiet place with very friendly staff.
There was an ice storm night we visited and I am only adding this info since your text box wanted more words!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Better to go else where - The room we reserved had no ac working and had to move to another room. The room never got serviced or cleaned after our first night. I wouldn’t stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice - I have stayed at Hampton Inns before and I am always pleased and happy with the staff and comfort of the pillows and pools but is time the staff were helpful but not friendly and the pillows just seemed not as comfortable as the others. The pool was outside and I know that there are bugs but they didn’t clean it until about 10 am Everything else was great
- Marianne (8/5): Room cleanliness - Everything was pleasant except the carpet in the guestroom was not vacuumed . I hope this was just an oversight, but it took away from the pleasant experience otherwise.
- Ted (10/5): - No problems with the quick check-in. Everything went smooth and room in perfect condition. We'll stay here again on our next visit.
