- monkebusiness (4/5): Pool is Closed, Breakfast is Lackluster, Room was Dirty - We were in town with several other families for a basketball tournament. Because we live in the state, we know that Williston hotels can be hit or miss. This one is mostly a miss. The pool is out -- which isn't published on their website -- and because of it, there are few places for a hotel with dozens of families with kids 12 and under staying there to hang out or things for kids to do -- especially in the dead of winter.
And by the sight of it, they're not in a rush to fix the pool either. There were a lot of Canadian families along with North Dakotans staying there and we were all pretty disappointed with the lack of prior knowledge of this. A courtesy would be to at least publish this on your website.
Our room was average, at best. The beds need to be changed out, because they're sagging and you can feel the springs. I judge a room by how dirty the baseboards and corners are, and in this room, they were extremely dirty. So just know that coming in.
A positive is that even though you're about 10 minutes from basically anything in Williston, but it's easy access off the highway. Having Los Cabos in the parking lot is nice.
- Jackson (1/5): -
- Michael (4/5): - Room service never cleaned my room in a 6 night stay after 2 days asked front desk for clean towels. They said they would have room cleaned but never happened. Did not have a continental breakfast. Will never stay at another four points again.
- CarrieD1979 (8/5): No Wifi or Streaming, but Otherwise Nice Hotel - We had a nice room—we really appreciated the upgrade to our suite, as it gave our family a lot more room to spread out in. A few cons—the WIFI is almost non-existent—it’s a very weak signal and kept dropping, which was a bummer. There’s no streaming, which was disappointing. And breakfast is $10/person, so we went elsewhere to eat before catching our flight home. But overall, it was a nice, clean hotel.
- Yvette (8/5): - Nice rooms and newer
- Thomas (7/5): - Large room, had laundry insight. Limited restaurants in area, location not close to town, breakfast not furnished and was overpriced.
- Hatzlacha (6/5): Any port in an oil field - Definitely seems like you’re in the middle of nowhere, i.e. oil fields. $10 for breakfast seems a bit much when the room cost is over $300. Rooms were OK, though I think the little note card that explains the cost of long distance phone calls was hilarious, as are the pictures in the room of oil rigs with snow on them. Must be comforting to their frequent tenants. Not all of the lights in the room even worked. Definitely not a quality property, but if you’re insistent on staying with Marriott, at least it’ll get the job done in the area. It's clear there is a housing shortage overall.
- 366RichardM366 (2/5): No Pool, No Bar, False Advertising - The official Marriott website has a picture of a pool when you look up this hotel and click gallery -> Recreation and fitness. However, that is a blatant lie. There is no pool! They also advertise a restaurant and a bar. The bar is permanently closed. The "restaurant" is just the breakfast they sell.
Room was missing lightbulbs in lamp fixtures.
Change your website, you are false advertising. We drove a few hours and picked this property for these amenities. No response from management; no points, no coupon, not even a canned response.
- Clayton (10/5): - . Room is clean. Staff is great.
- Meghann (10/5): - Great spot.
- Joshua (8/5): Airport Hotel - Good overall basic hotel close to airport in Williston.
- Emily (8/5): - Had an issue where we got charged twice, but I believe that was figured out
- John (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): - Very friendly staff at the front counter!
- Roger (10/5): - Nice property - close to the airport. Good value with restaurants close by that deliver.
- Jethro (10/5): - Friendly employees
- Mary (10/5): - Easy to get to and exactly what we needed.
- Laros (9/5): They charge me xtra 50.00 dollar said is a deposit if a consumer something and I still waiting for my refund pls take ca - Nice New
- Curtis (10/5): - Excellent counter receptionist and knowledgeable about the places to eat! Very warm welcome and we will be back again soon from Canada!
- Chantelle (2/5): - Upon arriving at the hotel, we were given our room keys and discovered that one of the two rooms that was booked under our reservation was not clean from the previous guests. The main desk was able to give us two other rooms, but they were not beside each other as requested and we had to argue with the desk manager to put us on the same floor. The hotel was affected by the Microsoft cyber security breach, and were short staffed. Therefore it was the hotel manager who was cleaning rooms. She was visibly stressed, understandably, but took it out on the guests, displaying incredibly unprofessional behaviour. Upon discovering that 1 room had mould in the bathroom tub, we asked her to have the bathroom cleaned. She said she might be able to get to it. She informed us that if we were not happy with the rooms we were being given, that we could “try to book another hotel for all she cared,” that we wouldn’t find one because all the other hotels in the area would be booked, and then she slammed the door in our face. The rooms were not well cleaned, smell very strongly of perfumed Febreze, and the bathrooms needed a deep clean. One of the bathrooms had hair in the bathtub and visible dried pee around the toilets that had not been cleaned up from previous guests. One other thing to note is that this hotel only has cleaning staff coming into the hotel rooms every third day to make beds and change towels (This was not due to being short staffed, but rather their regular practice.)
- Selene (10/5): - Really clean great to stay will stay here again.
- Conrad (8/5): - Nice newer hotel…kind of out of town a bit, one restaurant right next door. 5 minute drive or so back to shopping, etc.
- Sharon (6/5): - The place was clean. The breakfast mediocre. The entrance is confusing to get to from the highway. The front desk sraff was friendly and efficient
- The (4/5): Save yourself the stress, go somewhere else. - The walls were dirty, the pool has been "under construction" for almost 2 years, the rooms smelled like mildew, and the bed felt like plywood. We didnt even sleep there because it was so bad. The
- Sandra (10/5): - This was a little out of the way but a very nice property
- Peter (10/5): - Excellent location
- Calhoun (7/5): I ventured to this little town to run a marathon. - Location was great considering where I needed to go what I needed to do. The ice machines were broken. If I wanted ice, I’d have to get it from an employee who would have to get it from the kitchen.
- Oscar (8/5): - very nice and quiet place. Clean and with ample parking.
- jeffreykJ7166SP (2/5): Loyalty Now Means Nothing at Marriott - Be careful when booking a Marriott stay! They charged me $1500 for a stay that NEVER HAPPENED! The customer reps all say there is nothing they can do even though I have been a loyalty member for years! If you cancel with over a week's notice that is no longer seen as enough time and they feel it is fine to charge you for the entire reservation! Sad days for loyalty members at Marriott!
- Kristy (2/5): Not a fan - We had an unauthorized charge to our credit card from the hotel. I have called multiple times and left messages with no response. I would never stay here again for this reason alone.
- Peter (10/5): - Great hotel
- Gretchen (10/5): - Love our stay! Room is clean, beds are comfy with Fridge & microwave! Very convenient! Definitely stay again next time we visit Williston ND.
- Janelle (10/5): - The facility is nice and kept up and the staff are very friendly. Check in was easy and the people were great!
Our room was spacious and nicely designed. We had plenty of room! We found the beds incredibly hard and the pillows very soft (you sink right into the pillows). But we were so tired, it didn’t matter. My husband ended up moving to the chair to sleep though. The shower had plenty of hot water but don’t expect strong water pressure. More like a rain shower. I did like that they provided large containers of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It wasn’t too over scented either.
We had the hot breakfast in the morning. The woman running it was very friendly. Seemed nice. Definitely kept busy. The food was over seasoned - lots of pepper on everything. Even with ketchup, it was hard to eat. And the pancakes were hard as rocks. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast - seemed like a miss. Or maybe just requiring more staff to keep up with the breakfast area cooking/cleaning.
- Josh (10/5): Quiet and Clean - Great hotel. Quiet, clean and plenty of parking.
- christopher (6/5): - Breakfast was very slim pickings and one of yhe reasons we stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Listed as having a buffet breakfast but they only offer it Monday through Friday since their cook doesn't work weekends.
They require guests to write their compete credit card information down on paper for incidentals.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - Nice location. Updated furniture Somewhat dirty, especially the rooms. I do admit to having high expectations and do not expect mold or outside bugs indoors
- Brian (8/5): - Great staff! Unfortunately could not find me foam pillows (feather pollow allergy).
- Verified traveler (4/5): NOT GOOD - Pool and restaurant have been closed for over two years. The beds were NOT comfortable at all with springs poking me in the back. Would not recommend.
- Deborah (7/5): Mixed up room reservation. - They could not get our room right. We changed the room three times before we got the King Suite we ordered. Very frustrating experience. Dirty laundry room. I had to buy a large bag of laundry detergent because there were no individual boxes for one load of laundry.
- Sherry (10/5): - Always a great stay
- les (6/5): - Pool was under construction. Wish they had that on their website.
- MRVEGAS711 (6/5): Workers hotel - Came to Williston to visit family but quickly realized the hotel we were staying at was mostly oil field workers.
I guess if I were a woman traveling alone, I would NOT stay here. Probably not a place for kids either. Arrived at the hotel after dinner and visiting family so around 10pm and the parking lot was pitch black. Very little lighting. At the entrance was 4 workers finishing off a case of beer that you had to get by to enter. They were polite, don't get me wrong, but certain groups might not feel comfortable.
The room was fine and we had a good night's sleep. If nothing above bothers you, this hotel worked. Just know what you might be getting into.
- Michel (10/5): - The building was new, clean, quiet and spacious but was at the outer end of town.
- David E (6/5): - The staff was amazing. Towels, linens in short supply. No dining and no bar.
- Cindy (8/5): Very good - The room was very clean. The halls were clean also. Website doesn't have marked that pool is unconstrution and the bar is closed and the have cook for breakfast and dinner sometimes.
- Keri (8/5): - Closest to the airport.
- 957allie (2/5): Very poor - Highly disappointed! Pool was closed and nobody has a liquor license so there is no bar. We were over charged $200 and then another $100. Housekeeping didn't come to our room the few day's we were there. Someone slashed our tire in the middle of the night and when we confronted front desk about it they seemed defensive about it and told us there are no camera's where we parked... we had to walk multiple miles by the highway with two babies and they did not offer us any ride with there company van. Please save your money and stay at another hotel than this one!
- Christopher (2/5): - This hotel double charged me twice in the last 6 months I would never recommend them or stay with them again
- Candee (2/5): - We were traveling with 2 small children and booked because of the pool. It was empty and had been for a long time. They advertised ammenities that were not available. Showers were not cleaned from previous guests. Breakfast was also a joke. Cerial or waffles. Fruitbowl with brown banannas. Also the room door lock on my daughter's room was broken, it needed a new battery and the front desk person was cranky and not helpful to get my daughter back into her room. We were late to my grandson's high school graduation because she would not listen enough to recharge the door lock. She kept re-setting the key. Dont waste your money or time.
- James (5/5): We've stayed several times but will think hard if we will again. - The gal that checked us in was friendly but not train well, really couldn't answer basic questions. The maintenance gal was very friendly and helpful. The gal that serviced the room was helpful and did a great job. The breakfast was cold and not well supplied. The gal was more interested in her cigarette break. The tv didn't work and had to ask several times to get service. Had to ask to get room serviced.
- Lyona (4/5): - When we arrived they informed us there was no pool. Got to room and carpet was dirty. Staff was friendly and helpful though.
- Matthew (6/5): Pleasant -
- Damon (4/5): - The rooms were clean. The window screen was broken. The bar was closed because they lost their liquor license. The pool was closed as well for some unknown reason.
- Kathy (9/5): Our stay met our needs and the hotel and room was exceptionally clean. - We didn't eat because we ate with family at their home. The pool being open
- Goodson (3/5): Will look for other places to stay next visit - The breakfast was decent but nothing to rave about Staff was rude were never at the desk when I'd have questions front lobby had a bad smell to it the beds need to be thrown out every movement while on both beds made a loud creaking noise. Room had soap shampoo and conditioner dispensers in shower was completely empty. Both me and wife almost fell in shower due to no anti slip on the tub. Got charged another 50 dollars after I left. I give the 4 points negative 5 points
- Kurt Willi (10/5): - Very clean
- Jason (4/5): - Does not live up to the expectations of the Sheraton brand. Was dirty, staff unfriendly, amenities not maintained, breakfast was awful if not nonexistent.
- Scott (4/5): - Staying at this hotel was not as good as other Four Points I have stayed in the past. The Internet was down for 2 of the 3 nights. No breakfast 1 morning.
- Akervik (1/5): terrible - there wasn’t a whole lot to enjoy, a lot of amenities were not operating nothing seems to be operating
- Dan949A (8/5): No ce property. - We stayed here before our visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Well located in Williston to local restaurants. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was also well done and tasty. Would recommend a stay here if in the area.
- Amanda (8/5): Very good - The breakfast was great, the rooms were very clean, and the hotel was impressive The kids were excited to use the pool but when they went to go check it out it was out of service.
- Ken (4/5): Disappointing -
- jodiebO2922NH (2/5): Do NOT stay here! What a rip off! - Ok, I feel compelled to right this because it is awful! We came here for a funeral. If I could give a negative star I would. We were charged $40 more per night than anyone else there for the funeral. When we asked the response was I can’t do anything about that. The floor was dirty. My key doesn’t work but my husbands did. Our room carpet was torn right where you walk so a huge hazard. The vent in the bathroom was filthy and the grout around the tub is disgusting and falling off. We would have asked for a different room but one of our family members said they had entered a room that had three things that didn’t work so what room would we get next? Also we wanted to stay on the same floor as the family. We all needed to have breakfast but there was none! Absolutely none this was at 8. They finally started to bring food out but it was sporadic. The syrup was broken and spilling out everywhere on the counter. The juice machine was broken also. They ran out of waffle mix and coffee, it was the worst s*** show I have ever seen.
- Robert S (8/5): - Location was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the amenities were on point with my expectations. I could have used my room cleaned more regularly, but the weather was not in the staffs favor that week.
- Melissa (7/5): Nice rooms - Room was large and clean. The pool was closed down. Website did not reflect this.
- Baker (9/5): Superb -
- E5241FUtoddr (2/5): Not what i expected from a Sheraton - Checked in for my room keys. Went to room could not get in. Go down stairs. Night person was MIA had to wait over 20 minutes. Go back to room get ready for a shower. No towels or wash clothes. Have to go back down to get them. This place needs some management
- Randy (9/5): Superb - Sheets needed to be clean. Pool
- Jennifer (4/5): Horrible Stay - This was our last hotel stay on an 11 night motorcycle trip. This was the worst hotel of all 11 nights. This hotel is run down, it looks good in the picture and the lobby is nice but thats where it ends. Our room door lock was broken and we had to latch the inside lock so nobody could enter our room. There were holes in the in the window screen. The floor banged when you walked on it, like it had a false floor. The bathroom had a dirty shower curtain and mildew in the tub surround. The pool is still broken, this is noted on the website. The Fatburger in the parking lot is closed for good so there are no restaurants near this hotel. Staff did not show up to cook breakfast in the morning, so our "included" breakfast was nothing. There were bagels in the breakfast area with mayo, ketchup and mustard, staff could have put out some butter or cream cheese. There were frozen breakfast sandwiches behind the counter, they could have offered guests 1 sandwich each. So no breakfast, no discount, nothing offered. I will say the bed was comfortable and you get a free bottle of water in your room. Still I would never stay at this location and would never recommend anyone stay here.
- Kim (2/5): very disappointed - the room was nice pool and hot tub broken. no bar or restaurant open. no breakfast
- Kate (4/5): - I would never stay here again. I was put in a non working room which in addition to the TV not working it did not have conditioner and the safe did not work. The spa and pool were broken. The front desk person said I could check back the next day to be moved and when I did was told to come check back later as rooms were being cleaned. I came back several hours later and was told I could not be moved that there were too many new check-ins. Seriously? I was there first, I would think I would get first priority over people who hadn't even checked in yet. She then just walked away without even attempting to care. Needles to say I left and have been spending the rest of my two week stay elsewhere.
- Gregg (4/5): - Pool not working and no hot breakfast
- Uk (9/5): A good place to stay. - It was a pretty good place. Friendly, handy. A strange road junction to reach it but ok once one got used to it. Easy to find, good signage. good car park. comfortable bed and good bathroom. we chose not to have breakfast but many did. It was just fine.
- Dominic (8/5): nice place - The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice, the only issues were. The pool area was closed due to sprinkler system issues. We could of went to the YARC for a pool but that wasn't open when needed it. We also didn't feel like traveling off site for a pool or hot tub. The place was clean, but then there was no housekeeping on the weekend, so if you needed a new towel or towels you had to get them from the front desk. Would I stay here again ? Most definately, it was a nice place. next time we will check to see if the pool is open... OH and the breakfast's were very good.
- Shela (6/5): - Property has deteriorated since I stayed there last. Ice machines are broken so you have to go to the front desk and they get you some from the kitchen. The front desk didn’t have any clean plastic ice bags so I was expected to use the same one all week. The person who sits in the office behind the front desk seemed annoyed that I would even want a fresh bag. The carpet in my room was torn, the towels were shredded and it was cash only at the bar. The weeds had over taken the exterior of the property.
- davidjw5446 (2/5): This place is a complete joke. - Worst hotel of the 74 that I’ve stayed at this year. When I arrived I found out that the pool area was under repair, although no one worked on it during my 2 nights. I go to get ice and the ice machine also doesn’t work. Go down for breakfast and guess what , the water dispenser doesn’t work. The kitchen people can’t seem to replenish the eggs in a timely manner and there was only two of us eating. After waiting 15 minutes, the kitchen worker brought out 6 over easy runny fried eggs. Today no eggs but some disgusting looking something that no one was eating. Some derelict was wailing and moaning or yelling for an hour under my window at 5am. Turns out the derelict works there. Sounds about right!
- dearld (2/5): Staying here is like entering the Twilight Zone! - When we entered the hotel, there was nobody available for greeting us at the front desk. I stood for a few minutes before I decided to ring the bell laying on the check in desk. Someone appeared finally and checked us in, very unprofessional! The landscaping outside was mostly dead, and the grass wasn’t being mowed. The dead Fuddruckers business out front had overgrown grass as well. The ice machine for customers was broken and had a sign taped to it that looked pretty permanent, we had to go downstairs to the front desk and request ice from the kitchen. The first morning breakfast was cold eggs and sausage that looked like hot dogs, Not good. The second morning we came down, there were not eggs and a greasy bowl with 1 piece of bacon. No coffee and we left to go to McDonalds! I would warn anyone thinking about staying here to find somewhere else! There is definitely some unusual management and procedural issues going on here and definitely not up to the Marriott standards.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Comfortable beds and lots of room amenities. Breakfast was good.
- Amanda (2/5): - Staff was rude, mishandled my financials, no self serve ice, no pool, room was not fully cleaned or stocked, toiletries were empty, dining services were limited. Will not stay again.
- jenny (4/5): - So the pool was not available which was one of the main reasons we booked at this hotel. The breakfast wasn't available due to staffing issues 1 day. They couldn't provide a spoon for breakfast. We were there from Friday til Tuesday and the room was never cleaned due to staffing issues.
- Jennifer (4/5): - No staff.. no one is answering the phone when we need something.. have to eat breakfast out because there was no breakfast serve. Accordingly the attendant preparing food didn’t show up. Very poor staff service. Never again.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Super awesome staff
- Dustin Neil (4/5): - Friendly staff. Organization was less than desirable. Room wasn’t available, then offered new room but room was dirty and not cleaned. Nice place but bad experience.
- Josh (4/5): Pool Closed, Hot Tub Closed - Driving cross-country and excited to stay here, but was extremely disappointed - pool CLOSED, hot tub CLOSED, fitness room was not accessible. Breakfast was mediocre, but no MILK for cereal.
This wasn't just a random closure - so please let people now that key amenities are not available, so they can make an informed decision on where they want to stay. Felt a bit of a bait-and-switch.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location was a little odd for us. According to description we thought it was closer to highway
- Leo (6/5): Not the best hotel Williston has to offer. - The person working the front desk in the evenings was amazing. She handled guests, served drinks, took food orders and made sure everything was handled.
The property needs some maintenance. Panic buttons on exit doors stick and do not operate correctly without getting aggressive with them. Front entry doors do not open correctly, outside of the property needs cleaned up, sprinkler system needs inspected for leaks and repairs made.
Fitness room is very small and has no airflow.
Breakfast was always good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Quiet hotel with comfortable bed. Refrigerator did not work and the property was on the outskirts of town so it was a little drive but overall it was a good stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This hotel is in rough shape and does not have enough help.
The safe did not work
They had no house keeping on the weekends so basically we got to pay to be our own maid
I went to get change from change machine for washer and it took my $5 but no change
The washer and dryers for guest usage had two down and the other two did not work properly the clothes were soaked coming out of washer and the dryer took two cycles to dry our clothes
We rented the room because they had a pool but the pool was down I asked they just said it’s broke
One of the towels I got myself from front desk on the weekend had a big black stain I smelled the towel and the gasoline smell on it was over powering the big problem with this is someone had to fold this towel and they did not notice it at all
I would never stay there again
- Mark (6/5): No hot tub - I was very disappointed that the pool/hot tub was closed. We have stayed in other places that offer sign ups for the pool or limits numbers in the pool. But it really stinks when I book a room for a pool and hot tub and it is unavailable. I realize this was company policy more than likely and not the hotels fault.
- Walter (8/5): Good stay no pool available - Was good but once checked i found out pool was closed. Wish they could have called and said hey our pool is closed. Made for some unhappy kids who wereooking forward to swimming.
- Gabriela (8/5): - The bathroom was a little dirty but other than that everything was great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, quiet, comfortable. Pool not open. wonderful staff.
- EndeavoringTravelor (10/5): Exceptional. Long narrow rooms. - The hotel resides atop the crest of a hill. It is quite windy yet scenic. Very modern hotel with a nice staff and a spacious lobby and bar area. No one really cared about Covid so protect yourself accordingly. The rooms are nice, modern, but very dimly lit. The rooms are narrow and long.
- Kelli (10/5): Great choice - Very nice hotel in Williston
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was clean and easily accessible. The staff was friendly and professional. Would have liked to have the pool but it was closed for maintenance. Also, due to COVID, no hot breakfast.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - My husband and I stayed here for one night because we were flying out of Williston. We looked at quite a few different hotels and this one seemed to be one of the better ones but we were wrong. We arrived and checked in and when we got to the room it had already been used - dirty towels, Unmade bed etc. no big deal we just went to the front desk and told them and they got us a different room. This room hadn’t been slept in but it was FILTHY! Everything in the room was dirty - counters, shower, carpet, couch, the bed looked clean but not really sure and we were too tired to make another trip downstairs. The room also reeked like smoke and dirt- we couldn’t even sleep due to the smell. We will not be staying here again.
