Destaco la comodidad y limpieza de sus habitaciones, realmente muy confortables. El desayuno es delicioso y lo mejor es que está incluido en la tarifa. Además, cuentan con servicios diferenciadores como bicicletas gratuitas para los huéspedes, masajes, arquería y más. Para cerrar el día, un café junto a la chimenea fue simplemente perfecto. También se destaca la amabilidad del personal. Sin duda, un hotel súper recomendable.
• collantes (10/5): inolvidable experiencia - Una experiencia realmente relajante en el Hotel Tartar. Sus jardines son amplios, bien cuidados y crean un ambiente de total tranquilidad. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas y contar con hamaca fue un detalle encantador para descansar y desconectarse. El silencio y la calma del lugar hacen que la estadía sea perfecta para relajarse. Todo muy limpio y bien organizado, con un personal siempre atento y amable. Sin duda, un hotel ideal para descansar y disfrutar. me gustó todo
• Manay Manay (10/5): Grata experiencia. - Que cuenten con una cochera grande me permite llegar tranquilo con mi camioneta. Su sala de reuniones me fue de mucho utilidad, ni que decir de almorzar junto a la pileta. Al finalizar el día no hay nada mejor que tomar un buen café, leyendo un libro junto a la chimenea. Una experiencia súper recomendable.

• Elena (8/5): Comfortable and quiet hotel near the airport - I had a pleasant sty at this hotel nd the bed was really incredibly comfortable. The bathroom facilities were bit dated, smelling of humidity. There was no hot water very early in the morning.

Stayed 3 nights in this place .. the second and third night it was impossible to have any sleep before 11 because of loud music from the bar .on the 3rd night the amplifiers of the , bad , band were directly under my room

Rude front desk and incredibly lousy parties in the “conference hall” space. No kidding, my room was vibrating from the music on the loudspeakers for 2 hours straight.

• Gabe (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very friendly and the hotel was beautiful. Wifi was fast, about 70mbps. Be prepared to be woken up by airplanes at 8am. They are quite loud. Water pressure in the showers isn't great.

• dgstephens2017 (10/5): A lovely hotel - Hotel Tartar - curious name - is a lovely place to spend a weekend. A short taxi ride from Cajamarca it is quiet, well-run, and has an excellent restaurant. We also enjoyed the open fire and sitting in the courtyard for our breakfast and lunch. The hotel lent us bikes for a small charge and we cycled around the country lanes to nearby Banos de Inca where you can swim in the thermal pool. Our room was a bit hot on the first night but we opened the window in the bathroom the following evening. And the hotel dog Scott is very friendly!
• Gerry-Kerkhof (6/5): Freezing Hotel Seemingly Run on a Shoestring Budget - In all the time I've been using Tripadvisor for hotel reviews, never has my own opinion of a place been so at odds with those people who preceded me. It's a complete mystery to me how Hotel Tartar could possibly have earned such rave reviews. The building itself is lovely and the quiet location outside the city is pleasant enough, a taxi into the city only costs 8 soles. In addition the rooms are nice and the staff throughout the hotel are very friendly. So what's the problem you may wonder? Cajamarca stands at around 2750m (8900ft) so it gets cold. There is no heating anywhere in the hotel. We arrived at our room in the late afternoon only to find that it felt really cold. The receptionist (wearing a heavy jacket) informed us that no heaters were available and that it doesn't really get cold! As the bar-restaurant was closed until 7pm it seemed a good idea to get a shower except that the water was cold. We were again informed that it would be warm after allowing the water to run for a while but after waiting 10 minutes we resigned ourselves to lukewarm showers in a freezing bathroom. Towels, by the way, are changed every three days. How they are supposed to dry in this environment is another mystery. Dinner in the empty restaurant was fine if you don't mind wearing a heavy jumper and a fleece to keep you warm at the table. Fortunately, the heavy quilt on the bed kept the cold away during the night. The temperature in the conference room at breakfast was again unacceptable and a lukewarm cup of coffee with a fried egg on a saucer with some bread hardly warmed our spirits. This hotel seems popular with Peruvian families travelling by car who no doubt arrive with an extra bag filled with extra jumpers, hats and scarves. It is not recommended for foreign travellers who would be far better off choosing a city centre property (with heating). If you do decide to book you'll find it cheaper on Booking than by calling them direct (as we did). The bill on departure was printed on a sheet of paper which didn't even show the hotel name and included the 18% visitor tax which shouldn't be charged to foreigners. Go figure!
• Kenix001 (8/5): Nice, clean, good value - We would stay here again. The staff is helpful and friendly, the room was spacious, and the food at the restaurant was good. The location is literally 2 minutes from the airport by taxi and around 10 minutes from town...quite convenient.

• Kristina (6/5): Tartar Hotel Stay - We arrived and were taken to a room that was for a couple. I informed them that was not what I asked for, they insisted that was my reservation that I requested and would not believe what I said until I pulled out my reservation. Reluctantly they found us a different room with two beds. Once there we did not have ANY Wi-Fi connection or phone in the room. I had to go downstairs to ask for a phone, they stated it's in the room and again I had to respond that it was NOT in there and that the room did not get a Wi-Fi signal. I ended up going with one of the staff to 3 different rooms to see if any of them were able to get Wi-Fi which was included in the reservation and it would be our only time to connect with family. None had a clear connection. We were also too far away from the Plaza de Armas and it would cost us about 16 - 20 soles each day to go into the city. We ended up switching hotels.
• Mrkyak (10/5): Great Service - I stayed here on my way home due to a medical emergency. The staff was very supportive and helpful. It's close to the airport and though my flight out was late they let me just stay in my room to lay down. They checked on me and made sure I was okay. If I ever go back I will stay here for sure!
