The people next to us were served the drinks we felt like we were not valued as a customer. It was my 40th and engagement celebration. Every hotel has done something for us to appreciate us except this hotel not one recognization at all. We booked it because because of its review and it’s high ratings for luxury and experience which we’d love. So the value was horrible considering there was a lot of construction next-door with a weird sewer smell coming out of the area. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Could have been disruptive if wanted to spend more time in our room. Luckily not the case as out for most of the day every day. There is building work going on next door but didn’t really notice it. The pool area and service provided is excellent, the team do a great job. Also the food for breakfast & dinner is great with also excellent service. Have Been a few times before , will definitely look forward to going back.

The pool and beach so clean. The rooms were comfortable. The staff very attentive. Perfect holiday and look forward to returning.

It is lovely how Shivani in Messerie Restaurant always remembers us and make us feel very welcome. The staff who work at the front area remember us as well which is nice. Halid on the beach even remembers where we like to sit and puts our towels out nice and early, we can't ask for any more than all of this.

Let down by not getting notified our booking at Palm Avenue was cancelled because of a New Year Ball. They also closed the family pool area down for this. The noise from music testing was off putting on the beach. I guess money being made from outside guests was more important than those resident. I wouldn’t mind normally but you pay a lot of money to stay here.

- Shukri (10/5): - You get what you pay for. If you're trying to remain cheap and penny smart better off staying somewhere not on the palm. You do get free water bottles in your rooms and by the pool, otherwise you pay for your drinks and food. This is not a complaint, I expected to pay for more wants and needs. It's just a response to the negative reviews. Anyway, my stay at Waldorf was wonderful, the staff are so polite and courteous. They were always ready to help no matter what the time. I believe you'll really be grateful for your stay if you are there with your children, the staff by the pool are so amazing. Not a single negative comment about the staff, the best ! Just some advise if you come along with some fussy eaters (the kids) prepare yourself for trial and errors because as good as the food is for breakfast, my kids struggled to eat porridge made by someone other than me, they also struggled with the texture of the bread, but this is obviously because our domestic produce is probably imported and made differently to Dubai's produce. But not to worry the children will eventually eat something. It would also be nice if they had a microwave in the rooms, as one of my kids loves a warm cup of milk before bed (but the exact temperature is something only mum knows). Thank you, for a lovely sunny break from the rain we're used to in Britain!

Pool table a few more amenities in evening would be a good extra rating. Staff we great. Only slight criticism would be it too long for the drinks to arrive after ordering, and the evening canapés were very repetitive. They were amazing with a birthday for one of the member of the family and also I had asked for something that wasn’t in the menu for my son and they had arranged for it without any fuss. Other than that it was a great holiday.

- Baljit (6/5): - We were quite excited to stay at this property, however it didn't quite live up to the standard as The Waldorf Astoria. The location was lovely, the room was very large and the view was exceptional - seaview, looking out to the Burj Al Arab. The lobby and the communal areas was also impressive. The drive up to the hotel was extremely disappointing... we were expecting a more luxury front... The room furnishings looked quite exhausted and dated. The most notable thing was the lack of urgency from the staff. As lovely and professional as they were, service in all departments was extremely slow. Whether we called room service, housekeeping or the concierge, there was always a long wait to deliver. The day we were departing for the airport we had to bring down our own bags as we waited over 20 minutes for someone to help us - and that was at 5am! Overall the stay was underwhelming, sadly.
