Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good. We enjoyed our stay there. We liked the quality of food.
- Shrawan (10/5): Wonderful stay .. excellent location.. - Excellent location to enjoy Ganga Snan. River ganga flowing just in front of the hotel gate. 900 m away from har ki paudi. Enjoyed my stay
- Verified traveler (8/5): Bazaar side room of the Hotel - River is nearby. Room has cooler, enough to cool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Average Face great back - I think the back of the hotel was the modern part which seemed very nice but we got a room in the front which was probably the old part of the hotel. The back, facing the Ganges was booked but we could use it. So If you book there I would recommend asking for the part next to the river. it looked lovely! Otherwise the hotel was safe and satisfactory for what we needed.
- Wayne (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - When traveling in India I have learned to not expect much and sometimes you are pleasantly surprised. We were pleasantly surprised with our room at the Aditya in Haridwar. Had a good room with a balcony overlooking the river and lots of hot water. The location is great. The room was quiet. What more can you expect.
- Mani (6/5): Strategic place to stay and take bath in ganga. - Close to ritual and pooja spot. Few distance to walk to ganga river and easily take bath and back to hotel.
- B and Mo (2/5): Filthy and rude. - We arrived at the hotel to a rude reception and made our way up to a filthy room. Thankfully we brought sleep sheets to protect us from the supplied bedding. All in all, a terrible experience. Avoid this place!
- Bhanu (6/5): OK hotel..Overpriced Ganga facing rooms - I have stayed at this hotel twice. Once in Apr 2014 and lastly in Aug 2015. I was looking for a hotel which is right on the river Ganga and offering a view of the river and not very expensive. This hotel met my requirements. Even though I am overall satisfied but I think their Ganga facing AC rooms are overpriced for what they offer. The linen was old and of OK quality which you will expect from a two star hotel, but price is of three star hotel. Food from their in house restaurant is good.
- james (8/5): Rishikesh's older and more spiritual brother - About the only place within downtown Haridwar shop area where you will find international tourists. An absolute gem of a hotel in a place where it hard to judge what your getting into. Easy walk to the sunrise and sunsent aarti. We enjoyed Haridwar way more the Rishikesh. It's authentic, spiritual and culturally amazing. Unlike Rishikesh's strange western vibe and touristic trappings.
- Arunabha (8/5): No frills but decent place to stay near ghat - Decent place to stay if you want to spend your time visiting the ghat and the market.
- paras (2/5): Do not pay more than 500 for this hotel - This is not a good place to stay with this much amount. It is far from Har ki paudi and situated in deep inside market. Very rushy outfit and old construction. You must find a better hotel adding few more coins.
- suvresh (6/5): Stay at Hotel Aditya - The overall stay was good... but the foods are too costly, also the bed sheet, pillow covers were not cleaned. The location of the hotel is great. The staffs of reception were not friendly, don't no why they were behaving like that. The kitchen staffs were friendly. Bathroom accessories were not good at all...
- ronak (4/5): average but ok - It was average
- Bappa (8/5): fine hotel and on the bank of
Ganges - I stayed on the market side room which is not so comfortable, but river side rooms are the best. I think i could have enjoyed better room on the same price.
- Ankita (4/5): In the middle of the market, not worth the price - This hotel is right in the middle of the market, with absolutely no view of the Ganges from anywhere (not even terrace access). The bahroom is not very clean and the room is nothing great. Not worth the price paid. At same or lesser price, you can get beter rooms with a view of the Ganges.
The buffet breakfast is not really buffet, but an either/or - Indian or toast, and that again, is extremely average.
We had booked this for one day, and next day shifted to a hotel facing Ganga and offering decent rooms at a much lower rate.
Overall, a hiuge disappointing experience.
- Sairam (10/5): A stay worth every rupeea - Amazing place to stay especially if u love water. Prompt service ,close to the important places, away from the din.
- RajBlr (8/5): Very nice hotel close to Vishnu Ghat - Ganga view - Overall loved the stay, hotel and ambience.
Expedia was showing a double bed and a single bed while booking. After booking it became a request to hotel to provide a double bed and singe bed! On reaching hotel I found that the hotel has only rooms with 1 king bed in each room. Except this glitch in booking, check in, check out all was a breeze. No arguments over rates or facilities etc. Another point to note.. there is no buffet breakfast again as expedia says.. there is a room service menu and and you can order Indian breakfast from it. Food was tasty. Prompt room service.
It is better to book local site seeing cab from outside hotel if you want to save few bucks.
- Ankit (10/5): Good place to stay - Hotel staff and service is good. Rooms are clean.good place to stay.
- Harsh (8/5): Nice Hotel to Stay - I visited with my family to Haridwar in April 2014 and stayed at Hotel Aditya at vishnu Ghat. I have booked market facing room. It was clean and spacious. Room service was very good. Staff was very cooperating.
On one side of hotel there is ghat (front side) and on other (back side) there is market.
- Verified traveler (6/5): nothing great about it - phone service should have been there within the room
