Guest Reviews
- Gert (10/5): Exceptional - Clean room All good
- Miemic (5/5): A deserted place - The room was good, as described, with good beds and bathroom The place is deserted and from the outside it looks run down. Once it must have been a nice place, but now it is not maintained and well managed, except for this one room . It is not worth the money
- Jessica (6/5): Peaceful, countryside setting but please read carefully where you have to checkin. - The room was very spacious, calm and the beds were comfortable. The room would have benefitted from curtains or blinds. Also on the 3rd floor on a hot day it needs air conditioning to be cool enough to sleep. It was equipped with a fan but that wasn’t efficient.
We had not realised that the checkin had to be done 1.2 km away from the hotel, down a steep hill. We arrived by bike and had ridden 100 that day so were quite tired. This is indicated in booking.com but quite low down on the page so it’s not obvious.
The communication with the receptionist was confusing. When we called in advance to ask if there was bike storage, she said: « yes, yes, Tour de France ». Upon arrival there was no clear storage area so we stored the bikes in our room on the 3rd floor.
- Fabio (10/5): Thanks Liliana - It was simply fantastic!! Liliana and her team are fantastic with their hospitality service on top of the location which was so peaceful a true retreat, next time we will spend more days there and we highly recommend this hotel and restaurant… this place has also a free museum of the mill. so romantic overall
- Karen (2/5): - We booked a reservation in advance. When we arrived there, the hostel was completely abandoned and clearly not in use. We called the number given with the reservation: not in use anymore. Needless to say we were not amused, since we came there on foot with pur backpack and had no place to stay. Eventually we found a place a little further. In three words: don´t go there.
- Joëlle (1/5): It doesn't exist anymore but no one told us - When we arrived at the location we realised the hotel didn't exist anymore. No one had told us that we were rebooked a little further away in the moulin d asselborn. We were stressed to get to a wedding on time. In the new location the bed squeaked with every movement, the room was small and dark, the sheets were frayed. We were not compensated for the inconvenience of the rebooking and the hotel did not respond to my complaint either on facebook or by email.
- Marta (6/5): It was convenient because of the location. I do not recommend otherwise. - Super comfy bed. Clean and cozy room, very silent. Could not connect to free wi-fi. Very bad smell from the sewer. The staff did not respond to questions either via SMS or through booking.com. Considering that the staff is not on site at the hotel, they should be well accessible virtually. But they was not.
- Julie (5/5): It was cheap and so it was ok - The location was 4 minutes walk from where I was working, which was great Wifi did not work
Room not quite finished. No curtains and part of shower fell off whilst having a shower.
Room cleaning took under 5 mins (towels changed and beds made only). Tile floor not cleaned and it got dirty over a four day stay.
- Cátia (8/5): Very good -
- Ria (6/5): Pleasant - The lamp near to the bed did not work, there are no curtains and we were not told we had to check in in an other hotel that we already had passed when we arrived. We had to wait one hour and three quarters before food was served.
- Verified traveler (6/5): avis - bien, sera parfait après l'ouverture totale.
- Sandro (1/5): Bad - Location, quiet, parking just outside. Not clean
Bad bed
No place to hang the clothes
No wall outlets by the night table
- Nirf (9/5): Superb -
- Jacobus (10/5): - comfortable accommodation in a quiet village. Roomy and clean for a good nights rest with friendly staff and good amble parking.
Our particulair room was missing a desk to work on but it was well worth the stay for the amount paid.
- Hg (1/5): Bad -
- Maira (4/5): Disappointing - We didnt get the room we were promised (double bed) and didnt even get an apology!!!
- Guy (10/5): - Quiet, away from all and yet 800m only from Restaurant
- Rigas (7/5): Nice stay but insufficient services and information - Good location for cycling We were not aware that you need to go to another place 1km further to have the key and have breakfast. It was a nice walk though
- Jaap (8/5): Annex to Auberge with cosy former watermill and its nice restaurant. - We liked the cosy former watermill and its nice restaurant. This annex to the hotel is situated ±1 km from the Auberge.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was cozy, very cozy. The bathrooms in the units were a little small but that's fine. The windows and doors are not so sound proof and the restaurant is clearly the main priority for the hotel, which lead to a loud sleepless night. However the staff were very accommodating when i requested to move to a room further from the kitchen and restaurant. I hope to visit again in the summer when i could actually enjoy the view of the town (can't see much in the dead of winter).
- James (6/5): - The room itself was very nice and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Shower was nice. The lighting in the room is very confusing. Staying off-season is missleading as well. You have to drive to another place to check-in and if we hadn't happen to run into someone and asked would never have known.
- Marcel (2/5): Slecht - Vies, inchecken zeer slecht.
- Dave (8/5): Fantastic hotel on the country side - Located within the mountains with some fantastic views and roads on the drive leading to the hotel. With good facilities and friendly staff
- Pascal (10/5): UN ENDROIT A NE PAS MANQUER - TRES BON ACCUEIL. QUARTIER TRES CALME. AU VERT. CHAMBRE CONFORTABLE.CUISINE LOCALE DELICIEUSE.
- PETER (6/5): - Kamer, eerder een 4 sterren. Ontbijt verzorgd en voldoende. Omgeving oersaai: landbouwgebied. Verblijf enkel aan te raden bij doortocht.
- Robert (10/5): Another great place to stay - This hotel is very near the other hotel I stayed in the night before. This hotel is in the countryside, which is wonderful for me, you don't hear vehicle traffic. It is not that far of a drive to go any place and you are going to be driving around anyway. the staff were very nice, the room was clean.
- Hertzen (10/5): uiterst aangenaam - Perfect. Prachtige kamer. Heerlijk eten en goede wijn. Kom zeker weer.
- Martin (8/5): Great getaway! - What a lovely find!!! Made very welcome and would deffently stay again.
- Ten (8/5): Good but - Restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, then there was no services. Room and atmospher is OK.
A RECOMMANDER
