• Michael (10/5): - Das Hotel ist durch die kürzliche Sanierung in einem super Zustand. Direkt am Natur Pool gelegen, lässt es mit Aussicht und Flair kaum Wünsche offen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und kann ebenfalls mit Ausblick genossen werden. Das Personal war immer nett und hat die Fragen gerne beantwortet. Uns fällt nichts ein.

• Ute (10/5): Ich komme definitiv wieder! - Das Hotel besticht mit seiner spektakulären Lage, direkt am Meer und dem Gezeitenpool. Das Meer ist sehr präsent, von der Suite und Restaurant sehr gut zu beobachten, bei geöffneter Balkontür sehr gut zu hören, und durch den Gezeitenpool auch sehr gut (und sicher) zu erleben. Ich habe jede Minute des 8-tägigen Aufenthalts genossen. Der Aufenthalt war durch und durch sehr gut. Etwas befremdlich war es den ganzen Weg nach Madeira zu reisen um im Hotel ein Deutsch angehauchtes «Beerhouse» vorzufinden, mit Personal in pseudo Dirndl und Lederhose, aber das ließ sich mit einer priese Humor gut tolerieren.

The check in staff were very friendly and honestly wanted us to have a good visit and stay. Our room was not affected, but some parts of the hotel were being renovated and we had to walk through that area whenever we left our room
• Sigrid (9/5): Tolle Lage direkt am Meer - Fantastische Lage, sehr schön eingerichtete Suite mit grossem Balkon, ausgestattet mit 2 Liegen, Tisch und bequemen Stühlen. Blick auf die naturpools und den Ozean mit tosenden Wellen - Top! Personal sehr nett, wurden mit einem cocktail empfangen und ein Kühler mit Sekt und 2 Gläsern wurden uns auf Zimmer gestellt, nette Geste. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und man kann es draussen mit Blick aufs Meer einnehmen. Schöner Pool oben auf der Dachterrasse, man kann aber auch kostenfrei in den lavapools schwimmen.

• Flavian (7/5): Prima, wel veel geluidsoverlast - Goeie kamer, goed ontbijt, vriendelijke staff en goeie restaurants Aan het hotel en het zwembad werd flink geklust met de nodige geluidsoverlast. Op zich niet raar in het laahseizoen, maar dir had van te voren wel even vermeld mogen zijn. Na hierover in gesprek te zijn gegaan met management werd dit keurig en naar tevrenedenheid gecompenseerd.

• Marina (9/5): - The balcony of the apartment overlooking the sea was amaizing, facilities in the hotel, like pool and sauna were also very pleasant. Breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and the staff was polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant (besides the breakfast, which was great) was quite average. But this was really the only thing that we tought could have been better. Great hotel and staff.

There are some nice rstaurant around but the hotel restaurants are also good value for money, breakfast was exceptional with cheerful staff and healthy options. Everything was great here! • Monika (10/5): - Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und war einfach wunderbar. Unser Zimmer war im alten Gebäude, jedoch frisch und geschmackvoll renoviert mit toller Aussicht auf die Naturbecken und die hohen Wellen. An der Rezeption ist ein Wasserspender an dem wir unsere Flaschen jederzeit auffüllen konnten. Wir hätten uns vorab eine Information über die Renovierungsarbeiten gewünscht. Da wir jedoch den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren, waren wir nur am späten Nachmittag etwas betroffen, bevor wir zum Abendessen gingen. Im sehr schönen Zimmer wäre mehr Stauraum gut, wir wussten nicht, wohin mit der Kleidung, weil nur eine kleine Kleiderstange vorhanden war.

• Nicola (9/5): Relaxing - We loved our stay here, very relaxing, sitting on the balcony watching/listening to the sea, watching the sunset. This was a memorable and lovely place for 3 days. The room was fairly large and a good clean bathroom with a bath. Complementary blue sparkling wine. Complimentary chocolates on the bed. Hotel is located well, short walk to the other end of town. Access to the pools. A lovely breakfast with lots of choice. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful example getting us a bucket of ice (most lovely person was Lucia at breakfast). Parking can be a challenge, but there was always plenty of space up in the pools parking area but it is very steep to get into/out of. Beds - mattress was a bit too firm for us, would be great if they offered a topper to make it softer. TV didn't work (I am sure they would have fixed it if asked but not needed when you have the sea to watch). Restaurant food was small in size and expensive. Could suggest they clean the veranda glass since it obstructed the view to the sea but can imagine that would be a full time job with all the sea spray!

• Holger (6/5): Enttäuschend ! - Das Restaurant war ansprechend, mit einem guten Frühstücksbuffet und sehr gutem Essen zum Dinner . Die Zimmer sind sehr klein mit fast keiner Ablagemöglichkeit. Vom Zimmer aus geht es in ein winziges Bad . Der installierte Lüfter kann die Feuchtigkeit vom Duschen nicht ableiten, so dass man nach 2 Tagen das Gefühl hatte, alles im Bad und im Wohnbereich ist feucht. Dusche und Wände sind gar nicht getrocknet. Es war allerdings auch nicht so warm, das man permanent die Balkontür offen haben konnte, zumal man auch nicht ständig im Zimmer anwesend war. Während unseres Aufenthaltes wurden in dem Trakt umfassende Baumaßnahmen in angrenzenden Zimmern durchgeführt. Die Lärmbelästigung hielt sich in Grenzen, aber der Balkon war dadurch nicht nutzbar und wurde während unserer Anwesenheit auch nicht gereinigt. Für uns war der Aufenthalt insgesamt enttäuschend, Preis-Leistung passten hier gar nicht.Wir hatten das Hotel aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gewählt, die unserer Ansicht nach nicht gerechtfertigt sind.

• Marija (8/5): The best place in Port Moniz to enjoy the ocean. - The room was big and very pleasant, and the view from our veranda was amazing! We had a corner room so we had both the ocean and the beach. Complementary blue sparkling wine. Complimentary chocolates on the bed. A postcard as a small present when you check out. Very attentive personnel! Very friendly, helpful and paying attention to what you say. 10% discounts for some restaurants and spa and free entrance to the natural pools (usually you pay 3 euro). Very comfortable bed. Plus there were extra woolen blankets in the drawers. And there was an electric heater in the room. Weak wifi (but it was weak in many places on the island) Double bed made out of two separate beds (though very comfortable) There was construction/ renovation going on the first floor of the hotel (the noise was not heard cause of the ocean waves) It would be nice to keep veranda glass parts clean. Breakfast was okish. But in total we got what we needed: an amazing view of the ocean when you sit at the veranda and just enjoy the waves, and free entrance to the natural pools.

• François (7/5): Bon hôtel un peu surcôté pour ce début de printemps - La vue superbe. Une très grande chambre. L’amabilité du personnel de restauration. Le petit déjeuner, notamment le stand omelettes/pancake. Les travaux dans la zone de la chambre. L’humidité dans la salle de bain. L’accès non couvert aux saunas et piscine. Un personnel d’accueil pas toujours attentionné.

Bauarbeiten fanden im Hotel statt und dadurch war es in den Gängen schmutzig, laut am Morgen,Kabelkanäle waren offen und es sah dadurch nicht gut aus. Im Fahrstuhl stank es oft nach Küchengerüchen, Knoblauch und Zwiebeln. Im Bad lief Wasser unter der Wanne heraus. Insgesamt wirkte alles etwas abgewohnt. Für den Zimmerpreis haben wir mehr erwartet.

W trakcie pobytu trwał remont, o którym nikt mnie nie poinformował.W przejściu w czterogwiazdkowym hotelu wisiały kable, na podłodze leżały zasłony, bo panowie kuli ściany. Nie podobało mi się również to, że do sauny z widokiem na morze na dachu trzeba było wyjść z hotelu, przejść w szlafroku na zewnątrz, obok restauracji, recepcji.

• Ruth (8/5): Modern hotel with great views - Brand new rooms and very clean with other rooms being refurbished at the time of our stay. The views are fantastic. Breakfast has a wide variety of options. Dedicated parking. We were there during stormy weather and the noise of water sloshing from the rooftop pool right above our room was very, very loud. Staff agreed for us to move late at night and were helpful enough about it. Would be better if they kept ear plugs at reception.

W hotelu czysto i ciepło . Smaczne śniadania i dobra restauracja. Codzienne miłe dodatki .

La décoration intérieure est très jolie Partant en vacances avec ma fille, j avais réservé une suite avec canapé lit et chambre séparée. Mais en arrivant surprise: le canapé n est pas un vrai canapé lit: c est un grand canapé sur lequel on peut s allonger. Mais ce n est pas un lit. Auf unserem Flur wurde gerade renoviert. Es hat oft stark nach Fisch gerochen. Wir denken, dass das besser wird, wenn die Renovierung abgeschlossen ist.

In addition, the amenities such as fast Wi-Fi, a modern TV, and a well-stocked minibar made a big difference. Breakfast was another highlight, offering a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options to suit different tastes. The common areas of the hotel were also very well maintained, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The location is excellent, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and public transport. We loved the area! It was walking distance to restaurants and sightseeing in the area plus driving distance to things we wanted to do in the northeast. Not much! It was pretty great!

La qualité de la chambre, spacieuse, originale avec cabine de douche transparente, la baignoire, la terrasse avec transat et vue sur la mer. Toutes les petites attentions , bouteilles de vin pétillant dans la chambre, apéritif d accueil... Le jacuzzi avec vue sur la mer ... Le fait qu au restaurant on vous met systématiquement 10% de pourboire sans vous demander au préalablement. Il faut alors discuter pour les faire retirer !

• Albane (10/5): - Tout était formidable. Nous avons effectué plusieurs réservations dans cet hôtel : - chambre "Suite" 410 : suite gigantesque avec baignoire énorme arrondie. Vue sur les piscines naturelles de Porto Moniz, mais aussi sur la ville le long de l'océan (côté Est / Sao Vincente). - chambre "Suite" 408 : suite identique à la 410 en terme d'installation et de décoration, mais plus étroite (elle est tout de même grande). Vue sur la mer ⭐ à noter : la piscine à débordement de l'hôtel est juste au dessus. - chambre "Classique" 114 : chambre plus standard, mais la vue est éblouissante en étant orientée a l'Ouest ; couché du soleil magnifique! Les suites sont particulièrement belles, avec des matériaux de qualité. La chambre classique est moins récente, mais cette partie Ouest de l'hôtel était en rénovation donc à voir par la suite ! Les photos des chambres reflètent bien la réalité. Le spa (piscine à débordement, jacuzzi, sauna) est situé sur le toit de l'hôtel. Vue dans chacun des équipements. Le petit déjeuner est juste parfait, avec beaucoup de choix, et certaines choses sont préparées devant vous à la demande (œuf au plat, omelette, pancake, gauffres...). L'offre est généreuse et excellente ! Le personnel est adorable, de la réception au cuisine... Tout le staff est professionnel, agréable, et au petit soin. Cocktail de bienvenue, et bouteille offerte (dans les suites), petits chocolats 🍀 On ne peut que recommander. Nous avons tellement aimé qu'on y est retourné plusieurs fois ! Tout était parfait !
