- Chinmei (10/5): The location is fantastic with friendly staff - I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and the lobby on the 11th floor offered a lovely view along with complimentary water, coffee, and tea. After checking out, my parents were able to rest in the lobby for two hours, which was a great convenience. Highly recommend for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent service.

- Flora Alvina (6/5): - Property not as advertised. First this is not really a hotel but an inn. It occupies two floors in a Commercial building with two or three other “inns,” a medical clinic, and a Japan tourism company. Had I known this property was an inn, I would have never booked. I will say the highlight and saving grace for this accommodation is the location. It’s very convenient and less than half a block away from the Main Taipei Station. Plenty of restaurants and shopping steps away. McDonald’s is on the first floor of the adjacent building. Now to discuss the room. There were obvious foundation issues as there were several long cracks on the ceilings. The bathroom had mold and in bad shape. Water would leak when showering even with the door closed. There is also a large step about 10 inches high to enter the bathroom. Definitely a trip hazard. The room amenities were very minimal. No lotion, hair conditioner, and only a small above the fridge to hang your clothes. We ran out of toilet paper every other day and had to request more from the front desk. I also didn’t have enough towels and when I asked for two more body towels, the staff made a big deal about providing additional towels and wrote down the extra they gave me. Seems inventory is a very big deal to them. No iron in the room and had to borrow from front desk and was told there is only one steamer for the entire hotel so I needed to return in a few hours. If you’re from the States, this place is equivalent to Motel 6.

- william (8/5): - The location and the professionalism of the staff are the keys of the higher scorebfor this property. It takes only few minutes walk from the underground mall Z6 exit. The reception and housekeeping staff are friendly, informative, patient, and courtesy. The only draw back is the room is small and dated. It's dued to be updated to increase the value to mirror the good location.

- Takeshi (10/5): 立地は最高 - 立地は新光三越のすぐ近く、24時間のマクドナルドの隣、3階がスシローという分かりやすく、何をするにも便利だと思います。快適でしたが、水圧が弱くシャワーに時間がかかりました。他のホテルリラックスの方が大きいので、2や3をチョイスした方が良いかも知れません。

Welcome drink is served at Relax 2 (near, but remote site, and limited time slot), so I did not go there to drink the beer. Location is very good. Near the Main Station.

I love this hotel because the rooms were much big compared to nearby hotels. I don’t like the smell in the reception area.

- Boon Yen (2/5): - The rooms were filled with foul smell, pillows with blood stains, floor mats with stains and shower rooms and corners were stuck with dust and spiderwebs. I have photos of the above mentioned and will post a Google and trip advisor review on this. Told one of the lady staff on the day we checked in that one of the pillow was stained with blood, BOTH sides. And I wanted a change of pillow please (should have asked for a change of hotel instead 😒) She mentioned the number of pillows for the hotel were fixed. (Meaning she wants me to take back the blood stained pillow?) when I refused and told her (nicely still) that please assist to change out this pillow, she looked at it and asked if this was actually already used (by me) as the outer cover looked dirty. I replied that I have only checked in today and I am still dressed in the same outfit that i wore during check in, and I have just returned back to the hotel and yet to shower and lie on the bed. And I replied (annoyed) if the outer was also stained and I have missed that out? She then quickly kept the pillow away and replied and will try to get a new pillow for me. Probably one of the WORST hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It should not even be a “hotel” in the first place. Only the location was worth mentioning. And to put it to shame that this was actually a chain hotel with a total of 5 different hotel relax nearby. And I thought hotel relax 1 will be original and more reputable. Ridiculously disappointing.

- SENG FOH (4/5): - The hotel occupies two floors in the building (10th & 11th). The 11th floor rooms are just below the building's motor room. That means from morning till night (from around 7am to 11pm), you will be hearing to a motor generating sound. Just want to make sure this is made known to anyone who decides to book this hotel.

Overrated reviews for a room that is of poor quality 2. Rooms' wall is thin so you can hear people talking or walking along corridors 3 poorly ventilated rooms, air inside smells bad. 4. Poor lightings, rooms are dim 5. Aircondition is not well and properly maintained 6 Molds in bathroom

Just pay at the counter, and we collect our order at the counter within 24 hours, all nicely packed. Room is very clean, although the toilet bowl area will become very wet and slipper after shower. Location is very convenient. Well done! Hotel Relax!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Will not stay again - Very overly rated hotel. Cleanliness is lousy. Bathroom is mouldy and dirty. I suppose the black gold theme of the hotel is camouflage the mould n grime. Hotel breakfast has to walk across and the restaurant is basement level. You could tell that the kitchen staff and service staff are unhappy (they are not rude but you could feel the negative vibes) preparing and serving because the food are not appealing n appetising at all. Whole cafeteria has a musky smell. Booked executive family room but got cheated as only difference is bed size and slightly bigger room. Whole room has no difference with standard family room. No windows. The only only only thing to praise about this hotel is location. Easily accessible via metro (exit K12).

No window room was fine, room very soundproof as didn't hear other Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location near Taipei Main Station/HSR/mall (10-11th floor so can take time going up and down but not a problem).

Other extra service that they provided was Taiwan souvenir delivered to hotel, i bought the pineapple cake. Location is very accessible. Near Aiport MRT, train and bus station. Lots of food and shopping near by walking distance. Will definitely recommend and stay again

There are only 2 elevators and one of them has been out-of-service for more than 4 days now, which is inconvenient and caused long wait line at the building lobby.

- Yunchiahn (8/5): Nice stay, but budget more time for the elevator - The room was very comfortable and spacious. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was very convenient. We like the hotel itself, but the entrance (Relax 1) was not so nice--we had to wait and ride the elevator through a bunch of business to get in and out, which often took a long time. The bathroom leaked a bit, and the AC was too cold, but we can't make adjustment (broken?)

- Na (4/5): - You have to deposit $1000 NT first before you check in and is compulsory to do so if not they won't let you proceed. And the $1000 TWD won't be returning back, its like a waste of our money to do so. we paid everything for it before we step into the hotel but still need to pay extra money again before we stay. Hotel cleanliness is bad, the toilet is dirty and room is kind of dusty too. room type is not given as what i have seen in the pic/website, not recommend to stay in this hotel as there is still other better/cheap hotel out there in taipei.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed at the family room of Hotel Relax 1 for 3 nights in June. Room is clean and spacious. Like that it has an automated bidet and its non carpeted. However would be good if they provide a wardrobe instead of only hangers above the minibar area. Staff is helpful but could do with more smiles. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

Good beds and linens. Modern bathroom with heated toilet seat, no bad smells. I used the washer and dryer, cost 50 NT each machine. Safe, kettle, hair dryer, fridge, water, breakfast, coffee, snacks all provided. Even provided emergency printing and scanning service which I truly appreciated. Thank you Relax 1! Highly recommended.
- Sandy (10/5): - Excellent location close to trains, airport MRT and bus depot. Food galore and TONS of shopping. Real Taiwanese experience in this area. Staff were great, English spoken by all. Very hospitable and pleasant. Room clean and spacious with good air quality. They will keep your luggage for free for 7 days if you are visiting other parts of Taiwan. Just avoid elevator after school as students arrive for their cram school sessions on the lower floors.

- ONG (10/5): Good Location. Near to MRT - The room was comfortable and clean. Pretty spacious as we have done quite a bit of shopping before checking in to Hotel Relax in Taipei. Although its only a 3 star rated hotel but it provided all the toiletries needed. Will book this hotel again if we come Taipei next round
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was spacious. Breakfast was good. Walls are of very dark color making the room not very bright. This is especially a problem for the bathroom because lighting is not adequate. Cups are not cleaned daily.
- Albert (2/5): - Upon entering room 1023, dark mold can been visibly seen on the fiber made yellow walls. And the room had a strong foul smell, not sure if it has to do with the mold. Upon my request, I was changed to room 1113 and a strong deodorant smell in the room.

- ShermanWee (10/5): - Hotel is located approximately 5 minutes from Taoyuan MRT and Taipei Main Station MRT. It is located strategically within minutes of many restaurants, convenience store and large departmental store. The room was very large and clean with basic amenities provided such as mineral water, mini refrigerator and a small safe deposit box. Breakfast and coffee is provided at their Hotel Relax 2 and 3 respectively which is about 2 mins walk. Overall, I had a wonderful stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good location for taking train. - Good location but a bit far away from ximending. Nice to have the complimentary coffee at Relax 3 and good breakfast at Relax 2 which is near to Relax 1.
- JC (6/5): - While the staff was friendly and helpful and check-in/out processes smoothly handled, the property itself was not great. It occupies the top 2 floors of a multi-use building that's shared by 3 other hotels and prep-schools, so there are always non-hotel guests in the elevator. Seems like a big security risk as it's easy for strangers to follow you to your room. The room itself smelled musty and was terribly humid, especially after a shower. The bidet toilet was a nice touch, as was the quietness of the rooms, despite being in a busy area across from a major department store and close to Taipei main station. There are plenty of food stalls in the neighborhood, so I'd recommend skipping the bad breakfast and grab something cheaper and more freshly prepared nearby.

The hotel also provide us a shopping list for varieties of famous snacks, it saved my time and also provide me the idea for selecting snacks as souvenir for my friends.
