Guest Reviews
- Alexandros (7/5): Lovely stay in a charming village - The location was excellent — a charming village while still being very close to the city. Supermarkets, taverns, and anything else you might need were only a short drive away by car. The outdoor yard was very beautiful and well organized. The owner was extremely kind, welcoming, and always willing to help.
There was plenty of space across the property to park your vehicle comfortably. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. The balcony of the upper apartment was especially lovely, offering a beautiful view of the village church and its bell tower. There was a very strong smell of wood varnish in the apartment. We mentioned it to the owner and, fortunately, she responded very positively and upgraded us to another apartment immediately and without hesitation.
There were also a few pieces of furniture and surfaces that were a bit dusty, although not to an extreme degree. Unfortunately, on the last night there was no hot water available. Lastly, the rooms are not exactly the same as shown in the photos.
If these small details are improved, the place would be even more wonderful overall.
- Martina (8/5): - Very lovely host who made a warmly welcome.
The location is calm and I was the only giest besides the cat mom wirh her kitties.
Especially in warmer times this must be an absolut wonderful place to stay in a more rural, down ro earth and not so tourisry surrounding.

- Sargis (8/5): - The owner, Eleni, was amazing. She was very communicative and helped me out on occasions, she also brought me freshly baked bread, it was wonderful. Especially when i had no wifi or signal in the room, her son connected the cable to the WiFi and then inside to my laptop so I would be able to work. The place is marvellous, the pool is amazing, and I had an amazing view for the lunar eclipse as well. There is a supermarket next door and also two restaurants nearby. Because the building is older and there are thick walls, the signal just doesn't go through them at certain locations inside the apartment, also the wifi without the connection of the cable was slow and sometimes took a long time to load websites. Also if you are living on the ground floor and there is someone in the apartment above, because of the wooden ceiling, you can hear literally everything, all they talk about, every step they make, every squeak of the bed, especially throughout the night, could be heard like literally next to you. If there are children above, then you are in for it.

- Yevhen (10/5): Nice place to relax near the Limassol - I had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was welcoming and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and easy. The location was perfect—peaceful but still close to everything I needed. I truly appreciated the little touches that made the stay feel special. Highly recommend and would definitely return!
The pool is a great plus for this place.
The supermarket is very close.
Nice views around! Kids are allowed - not everyone will be ok with that.
- Daniel (10/5): - We stayed 2 weeks in the Cottage Houses an loved it. It is a small, quiet property with 8 flats. The equipment in the flat was very good. It was very clean. We loved the Pool and our balcony with a wonderful view. 2 Minutes from the Cottage Houses, there is a litte Supermarket. To the beach you have to go by car (some minutes). Eleni and Pedros were wonderful hosts. Eleni had so many tips where to go on Cyprus. Thank you very much for everything! Petra and Daniel from Germany
- Ewelina (10/5): Great experience - We had a wonderful stay at this charming holiday cottage. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed — from a fully equipped kitchen. Swimming pool area was nice and tidy.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Nigel (7/5): Nice village, value for money - Nothing specific with host not on site. Very dark when compared to others we stayed at and the pictures. Furniture squeezed in.
- Kateřina (8/5): Stay in a nice little village - We really liked the location, if you rent a car it’s a great place to start from for all kinds of different day trips. The bed was comfortable, the AC was 5€ a day, but it was worth it as it was really hot even at night. The whole property is really pretty. Overall we recommend the stay, as it is good value for the money:) The shower does not have any door, so the water gets on the floor in the bathroom. We were staying at the small “house” in the middle of the property, the downside of that was, that when someone was sitting outside at night and talking anywhere around the property, we could hear them. I also was not the biggest fan of the entrance door to our little house, as it is right by the bed and you can only turn the key once to lock it.
- Gaëlle (10/5): Very nice comfortable place - It was very calm and peaceful. There were cats swimming pool was great the location is great perfect to visit Cyprus Nothing
- Adrian (8/5): Nice cottage, fairly close to limassol - Very clean, we had 2 big size rooms with 2 king size beds that were very comfortable and clean, plus the vintage cottage look., pool very clean and nice , No washing machine wich i believe is a must, and the Internet especially in the evening keeps disconnecting and most of the time was down
- Valeria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (5/5): Passable - PENTAKOMO is a lovely area, pool was fab. Hosts were friendly until I decided to leave. We decided to only stay 4 nights and not the full 8 days, due to the accommodation not being quite what we expected from the photos, and cost. I developed a bad head cold on the 2nd day which I believe was from the air con.
I was very upset that the host decided not to reply to my texts when I said I was leaving, a courteous apology would of been sufficient.
The host also lied and told booking.com that I was constantly drunk and talking nonsense, when I'm in fact Tea - total!!
Booking.com asked why I didn't show up for my booking, when I fact I did, and I told them I had issues and decided to stay somewhere else.
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional -
- 'αγγελος (5/5): Passable -
- Stefanie (9/5): A great base from which to explore the island! - We loved the location - in a quiet village, but close to cities and things to see. Convenient mini market that had everything we needed. Free parking, nice hosts. Since it was the off season, we had the whole place to ourselves for part of the stay. Quiet and relaxing.
- Patrícia (8/5): Very nice place! The space is kind of rustic and very beautiful. They were always very attentive and helpful. We will co -
- Savvia (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were exceptional , they were so welcoming and polite . Our staying was short but pleasurable, ms eleni and her husband are the best hosters I've ever seen until now ❤️
- Burhan (1/5): Not good at all - Nothing. Internet access was very bad. The blanket was very old and thephotos of the property was totally different from the one on the booking.com. There were no soap no shampoo and expensive in relation to the property.
- Joao (7/5): Good -
- Emma (9/5): it’s the perfect place if you want an authentic and peaceful stay near the beach and Limassol - We had a wonderful stay in Cottage house. The accommodation was clean, also we had everything we needed to cook. The place was quiet even if there was other people in the place. The pool was very nice and clean. Petros and his family are very welcoming and warm. We recommend this place for sure ! Nothing
- Martišková (10/5): Definitely recommend if you want to have a different experience without tourists everywhere. 😊 - Cozy and very calm area to stay in.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (3/5): Very disappointing - Ummm...struggling to think of something It was not clear, when booking, that air conditioning would be charged extra (at 5 EURO/person/day!!). Wifi was non-existent and there was no sofa-bed, something which was clearly promised in the booking info. The pool was small and shared with many others, which was not made clear in the promotional material and images. The host's attitude to our unhappiness with the above was very negative indeed. Would not recommend this place for a stay.
- Anonymous (4/5): Good location but don’t trust the pictures - Location where I wanted to be It was dirty, no appropriate utensils, not great start, run down and unloved.
Not as desired.
- Beata (7/5): Good -
- Nigel (7/5): good value. - nice pool after it had been cleaned. great location. staff very responsive noise from apartment above was too much. bed side lamp had no socket to plug into. tv was taken away after first night with no explanation and wasn’t replaced
- Sophie (5/5): Unprofessional and rude - The house was ok and clean The outside area not at all clean or taken care of. The house was comfortable but could hear anything the neighbour houses did or talked. Last would like to say that when you rent an area and they say a check out time you have no right to enter with a key without your guests leaving. So check out time is 11 and at 9.45 the host took her key opened the house we rented and asked when we are leaving. Very unprofessional very unpolite and DEFINATELY forbidden to enter with your key without checking if guests have left the premises. Will definitely not visit this premises again!
- Sofianos (8/5): Overall good stay - Instant Hot water any time.
Clean room.
Quiet place. Remote Control of the AC was out of batteries. Had to replace them with the TV remote control all when we needed to use it.
There was a humidity smell near the cough. Not sure where it was coming from.
- Richard (7/5): A very pleasant property with a great outdoor space, if you want to experience life in a village. - The cottage was very pleasant, with a good selection of indoor kitchen items and good beds and mattresses. It was clean and had enough space for 2 people, but would be a little tight for four, if in the colder period of the year. The outdoor kitchen area, seating area and pool area were very nice. There were two main problems: the internet (wifi) connection does not stretch through the whole property. This could be easily rectified using properly sited indoor wifi singal boosters/antennae, and given the there is a TV with only Cypriot channels and no satellite, the internet is nowadays vital for general entertainment.
The other issue (which I am assured is only in the period before Easter and to be fair is not the fault of the owners, who are as annoyed as everyone else) is the keenness of the local youth to let off firecrackers through the night (e.g. 11pm, 2am, 2:30pm), waking me regularly. One at 5:30am shook the windows of the villa. I'd avoid this property in the week before Easter again.
- Geoff (8/5): Very good -
- Alessandro (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jayne (7/5): Tranquility - Peaceful courtyard in quiet village .
Owners very accommodating and friendly.
Bed big and comfy Damp wall next to bed bit smelly. However, our stay was in March with lots of rain. We were told there is no problem in the drier months
- Cherie (9/5): Wished we could have stayed longer - We ended up staying in the two bedroom apartment and absolutely loved it. You could sun lounge and relax on the balcony and despite some windy days it seemed quite protected from the wind.
If you're there during the cooler months, you must try the sauna. It was one of the highlights of our winter stay 🙂
Location was very quiet. Maybe at night you can hear the odd dog barking but since it's in a small village it's very quiet.
Kitchen had nearly everything we needed including a full sized fridge, and two electric hobs, kettle and toaster. I would have appreciated a microwave because you'll find in Cyprus, the restaurants always give you more than you can eat! but we were still able to reheat using the pots etc. Kitchen also had everything regarding cutlery, and other kitchen equipment, chopping boards, pots pans. Even a Cypriot coffee pot.
Hosts gave us a lovely cake to celebrate the new years and it was really nice!
Some reviews commented on all the additional charges being posted up everywhere, but it was just a few A4 laminated paper. Maybe they can put it into a welcome folder including some ideas on what to do/ see around the village. But it wasn't as bad as I was expecting after reading the reviews.
Bed was almost too comfortable and had difficulty convincing myself to get up now and not in another 10, 20, 30 mins! Very warm also, extra bedding was provided so able to sleep with heating off. You definitely need a car for this property. This isn't necessarily a negative just advice.
For beaches, the nearest one is a bit rough and stoney but the white stones are very pretty and great for sunset. There's a fish restaurant/ beach club. Maybe in summer it it's nicer to swim? Down the road, the Dragon Fruit Farm was the best Dragon Fruit I've had in my life! So you must go!
The best swimmable, toddler friendly, shallow sandy Beach in my opinion is at St Raphael. If you like walking or running, there's a fantastic promenade there, you can literally walk/run for ages, I think it might go all the way to limmasol. There's also a number of beach clubs) cafes) restaurants in St Raphael. And an archaeological site nearby too.
After seeing Limmasol I was very glad we booked here, despite having to drive to get to places. It's possible to leave the car and explore the village but if you want some beachtime then you'll want a car.
Nearest supermarket is across the road but it's on the small side so might not have everything you need. Nearest non-Euronet ATMs are about 20mins each way. Which is a bit time consuming when you need to pay additional charges such as air-conditioning/heating etc in cash. So bring cash with you if possible. It would be great if you could book this option when booking the apartment itself to avoid getting the cash.
Just a note that in winter, while the pool is open, and you can sometimes find it warm enough swim in the sea (borderline!), unfortunately as the pool isn't heated it was much too cold for me even in full sun (except after being in the sauna for 15 mins, then it was possible but you couldn't stay long!)
- Tomas (8/5): Very good - great location in the centre of Cyprus, supermarket 50m from the house, local taverna always open 40m from the house, very good restaurant in the village 150m from the house kitchen equipmnet could be better, table for breakfast on terrace is too small
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good - Apartments are nice and cosy. The owner offered us at the arrival an upgrade to the higher apartment (extra price of 10€ per day), we got lovely to rooms flat with nice mountain and village view. We didn't use the pool but it looked good and clean. We had a problem with our neighbours but the owner solved this issue perfectly and we could enjoy our stay at cottage house. Thank you Eleni :-) Please keep in mind that three is an extra charge for air conditioning - 4€ per day.
- Lea-friederike (9/5): Super! - The accommodation is in a quiet, beautiful village. There is a restaurant and a small shop around the corner. If you need peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Eleni is very friendly and gave me good tips. (She even picked me up at the airport). Eleni is also a very good cook. Her famous Moussaka is really the best Moussaka in the world! I enjoyed every single bite to the fullest. I will gladly come again.
- Katrin (9/5): Superb - Eleni is the perfect host. She is very friendly, helps you with all your questions and provides you with everything you might need.
- John (9/5): Superb - The host Elina and her son Stephanous were extremely helpful and the cottages have been renovated from an old building. The village itself has one Taverna which is literally 50 yards from the location as is a small supermarket which stocks most items. Nothing
- Carl (7/5): Relaxation and tranquillity set in an off the beaten track Cypriot village. - Its unique character from when it was a Cypriot farm house, staone arches and floors, wooden doors and windows. The swimming pool althought not huge was very nice to relax in. You can always call the owner if you have an issue and they will come in short time to help. Very friendly and helpful. A little bit secluded a car is definately a must have.
- Kevin (5/5): We enjoyed our holiday immensely despite the negatives of the property. - We loved the quiet village location. Pentakomo has a good local general food store and a couple of good tavernas. It is situated about a 10 minute drive to Governor's Beach and only a 20 minute drive in to central Limassol. The shared pool was excellent and rarely busy during our stay and the children spent as much time in it as they could during our 10-day stay. The layout of the accommodation itself (flat 5) is good with a large living area and the bedrooms are well-proportioned with lots of storage space and comfortable beds. The apartment is the most elevated in the complex of 6 and has good 180 degree views over the village and mountains and to the sea in the distance from its private veranda. However, the climb up the double-height steel staircase with heavy luggage is not for the faint-hearted! The apartment has air conditioning in both bedrooms and the living area. The host, Eleni, very kindly got us a cake for our daughter's birthday which happened while we were there as we realised we wouldn't be able to bake her one as we'd planned. She also brought us an amazing melon from her garden so we were very grateful for this. A hire car is a must to stay at this property. Overall, our apartment was tired, unclean and the kitchen poorly equipped - there was no microwave, just a very basic two-plate electric induction hob and no oven apart from a very old and dirty table-top one that was hiding in one of the bedroom wardrobes. We only managed to cook a pizza in it and certainly wouldn't be able to do more. The fridge/freezer was small and the fridge barely got cold enough to keep food fresh for long enough let alone chill beer and wine! There was a sofa bed on the veranda which was broken and couldn't be used to either sit on or sleep on and the sofa in the living room was an old cream leather one that had seen better days. It was covered with a throw presumably to hide its shabiness. The floors throughout in the interior and the veranda were very dirty on our arrival and so we had to mop these before it started to feel like home. We don't feel that the apartment represented good value for money which is a real shame because with just a few hundred euros spend it could be a 10/10 property. Sadly, we would only give it a 5/10.
- Tihana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Magdalena (7/5): Good - Very nice and friendly owners. Swimming pool available, sunbeds ,place to chill inthe evening, supermarket 1 minute away. Unfortunately you can hear every single noise from your neigbours around, so you passively participate in their day and night activities. Room is "blind " ,there is one small window which does not open and no day light gets in.
- Dražen (9/5): Superb - Accomodation is nice, pool is great, host is very kind Host charges additionally 4€/day for AC which was not stated on the reservation
- Marta (9/5): Cosy and lovely cottage - A perfect location for an experience, with 100 years old stones cottages. Cosy and quiet area, for a really nice stay. Location is a bit far from all the nice Cyprus beach and restaurants, my recommendation is to always have a car.
- manhal (4/5): - OK..
- George (2/5): Not trusted - I booked through the internet and when i went there they couldn't find it No try to find out what went wrong no try to help although the house was paid. They didn't even show up or send someone to see the booking confirmation and the receipt. The answer was that they are fully booked and that they didn't get the money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place to stay - A lovely place to stay if you want a taste of Greek Cypriot village life, rather than a package holiday experience. Easy to find (you need a car) - centrally located - very hospitable and helpful hosts and a very reasonable price. Eleni cooked us some delicious meals.. it was very quiet at this time of year but here are a couple of tavernas in the village and a store. There are several apartments - ours had a verandah overlooking the village church. Cyprus is a small island so you can reach Nicosia, Lemesos, Larnaka, Troodos Mountains or Paphos from here quite easily. Nice walk up through the village with lovely views.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Remote place, centrally located on Cyprus - The owner were very friendly and helpful, replied to our call at midnight (our arrival time) and provided 2 full-size apartments.
Due to New Year, shops and restaurants were closed, so they offered to prepare/bring us home made, local food and a bottle of wine.
Perfect service!!!
- Serge (10/5): PERFECT for quiet, relaxed, authentically Cypriot - Cottage Houses in Pentakomo is PERFECT for quiet, relaxed holidays, away from crowds and busy streets. Convenient to Larnaca airport, straight off the motorway, very close to the famous Governor's Beach, and just outside of Limassol. Ideal for families with young children - the pool is safe, always clean, easily accessible and such fun. The views of the surrounding mountains are stunning. The rooms are beautifully decorated, authentically Cypriot, with thick walls. It is family-run, by Eleni and Petros, and their two sons Stephanos and Andreas. The whole family are the kindest, most polite and thoughtful people you could meet. They gave us gifts, cooked for us, made us feel so welcome. We highly recommend Cottage Houses, and intend to go back repeatedly! Janet & Serge, June 2015.
- Janet (2/5): Too low standard in generall, but nice village - Family 2kids apartm 2bedrooms. Cosy village, calm environm, small OK pool. Interior and maintenace poor, semi-broke. "Function and Safety" does not rule. Do not stay here with small kids. We would comeback back to Pentakomo but not to "Cottage Houses" which has much less of a normal standard than we expected. Owners are indeed nice, but it wont change this grading!
- russ (10/5): Very cosy - Good landlords and very good cottage.
However, not very much to buy in local food store, so you need to have a rental car, or get all your stuff with you in first place
