De gastvrouw en gastheer van ons verblijf zijn aardige mensen en verzorgen je goed, lekker ontbijt. Kamer was schoon en netjes.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fabulous guest house surrounded by mountains and the rooms had dual aspect. We had the rhino room which was wonderful!
- Elspeth (10/5): Great place - This was, in the words of my friend, "a really good find and we need to back again but for longer" (we only stayed one night on this occasion). The grounds and setting are beautiful and being in the cape wine lands there are plenty of places to go and see. Having a vehicle is a must but for those who havent been to SA before, the driving in the area is easy. It would help if you had a designated driver or teetotaler in your party but the staff will happily arrange a shuttle service for you. Alternatively, the grounds have good bbq facilities and depending on which rooms you have, there are facilities on site to make your own food. The management are German and very friendly and nice but don't expect any UK DSTV channels (the SA satellite service). The limited TV channels are a negative for me but to be fair this isn't the sort of place you go to watch TV.
- Nina (8/5): Friendly, welcoming guesthouse - We stayed in the Lion room. It was very clean and comfortable. The aircon was a blessing in the summer heat. It has a large bathroom with shower (great water pressure) and a large bath. The property has 2 pools with plenty space (seating/deck chairs), so it never felt crowded even though all rooms were booked out at the time of our stay. Breakfast is available in the morning on the patio. We received great recommendations from the friendly guesthouse owners of where to eat in the neighborhood. We really felt they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.The shuttle was very useful, as we were attending a wedding nearby and did not want to drive.
- Dottie (10/5): Stunning secluded retreat - When you first arrive it may seem a bittedious to enter the gated area, but once you pass through the gates and take in the country feel of beautiful lawns, horses, fruit trees and flowers/roses/bougainvillea, you won't want to leave. The breakfast terrace is stunning and the warm rolls and variety of breakfast items offered is plentiful and delicious. We stayed in the Lion cabin which was quaint with a large bathroom and amenities. Mountain views surround the property and the atmosphere is very calming. They offer 2 pools and plenty of hands on helpful tidbits of things to do. I recommend visiting the town of Franschhouk which is 15 mins away. Enjoy your stay.
- Mike (8/5): PEACEFUL - Perfect if you want a "time out". You are secluded from everything here. The owners leave you to your own resources and you are left with a pool and the view of the mountains to recharge. Don't expect anything extra.
